1801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 29, 2023, 08:33:20 AM
I have problem with people about Bitcoin that's why I limit spreading anything about Bitcoin to others, I was not alone when I was struggling and after my first success through Crypto few friends that we went to same school came to me for some Bitcoin lesson, I believe I got lucky with them because they don't care much about the risk.

But there are some certain number of people that I shouldn't have introduce to Bitcoin, I did the right thing by telling them all the risk and when to buy Bitcoin, also what type of money is good for buying Bitcoin but now they failed to keep up, they are already tired of holding, after just 1 year and few months they want to sell.

Before this even happen, they have been asking me when the price will go up, and I get sick of it, I reminded them that I told them somewhere around 2025 but they pretended to never remember that part, I am pretty sure most of them sold their Bitcoin already, and I will wait for that long to show they how profitable patience can be.

Unfortunately people are stubborn and impatient when it comes to money. Just the idea of earning makes them so giddy that they cannot even wait for it come. It's unfortunate that some of these people even blame us for it when they are the ones who cannot wait and listen. Still, kudos to you for taking the time to share Bitcoin with others.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 29, 2023, 07:08:37 AM
do you think it would achieve the same level of success in terms of user base and Stocks considering Elon's controversial history with Twitter?
If he's already lost so much from Twitter, is it possible that anyone would trust him to buy stock in a company that's already practically a failure? of course investors will think again about doing it so Elon Musk will focus more on trying to improve Twitter than following Mark's steps by launching a new application, and it seems that Elon cannot compete with Mark in terms of social media because Mark looks more skilled at developing successful social media applications compared to Elon, who is said to have suffered huge losses since he took over twitter.

I agree with you. Mark is showing that he has nearly perfected the formula for social media platforms development. Soon enough Threads will be the next big thing as it connected to literally one, if not the biggest, platform right now which is Instagram. Once users starts seeing that the changes from X is still not as good as they wanted it to be people will go for Threads.
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: Federal Reserve launches FedNow instant payment service on: July 29, 2023, 06:21:11 AM

People truly don't understand Bitcoin's value proposition. It's not about making money with it, but rather using it as an alternative to existing Fiat currencies. By using it, you're getting freedom and privacy in return. In some ways, you'll be "liberated" from the evil clutches of central banks and governments alike. After all, these entities can't freeze or touch your Bitcoin.

At the end of the day, convenience is what people want and if you make it easy for them to use then that's what most people will use. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes until FedNow is at every bank but when that day comes, I don't see anyone thinking that bitcoin is a solution for sending money to someone else within the USA. They'll be using FedNow for everything. And they'll wonder why bitcoin would be useful since it requires them to first send their money to somewhere like coinbase which takes how long and then they have to trust coinbase to let them buy bitcoin and not freeze their account and coinbase doesn't even have a phone number they can call unlike their bank? I don't think so... Shocked

You have a good point here. People will always go for convenience. No matter how better bitcoin is, if there is a different system that will be easier for them to use and is available everywhere then people will always go for that. Moreover, people will go for the one they feel secure with.
1804  Economy / Economics / Re: Population: Economic strength or weakness on: July 29, 2023, 02:22:01 AM
It could be a strength or a weakness . It is determined by the environment. China is one of the most populous countries on earth yet technologically they are ahead, they don suffer from hunger or starvation. They have a very low crime rate and have managed to fight off corruption in their country.  The same thing cannot be said of India for instance. India still struggles with systematic corruption, pollution and inability to Carter for the needs of her citizenry. I think that China is the model country for other countries who need to learn about population growth and expansion can take a lead from.

Instead of environment I'd say it's the government. Of course a lot of factors affects the outcome of whether or not population can affect a country positively or negatively. However, most of these factors are under the decision and leadership of the government.
1805  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some financial secrets that you know of? on: July 29, 2023, 01:25:43 AM
Be inquisitive with effort, not every day we always succeed in our financial ambitions so it is better to study everything that will make it grow. Avoid things that you know will ruin your finances such as debt, and fancy things. Make progressive use of your finances such as finding things you can invest in. But always remember that even if we lose, don't lose hope in life's trials especially financially.

This is true and I agree with you. Studying and empowering oneself with education and knowledge is a great foundation in ensuring financial success. The grind will be constant and so is the hunger for learning as the world continues to develop. Success and failure are also not markings for endings, but a sign for progress.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 28, 2023, 11:40:27 PM
And it is important that stories like these become more widely known so when other people face that situation as well they refuse to give in.

in africa there are many countries in a situation of extreme poverty, and in the most distant villages the situation becomes worse, but when someone with a lot of talent appears, then the soccer leaders of the country charge money so that this talented player can play in the main team or manage to be transferred to a foreign team, this is because corrupt African leaders look at that opportunity that the national team has to be playing and attracting people's attention as a way for players to gain exposure and attract attention from the big foreign clubs, so these managers africans charge money

for internal players to play in the main team, this only changes in the scenario where the player is very famous and plays in a big team abroad, in this case the managers do not charge anything for him to go play in the main team, I believe that the majority of the people in africa who follow soccer know this, there is much more corruption in soccer in africa that it is not worth me talking about it here, unfortunately there are no institutions that judge this because corruption in africa comes from the top, it comes from the top leader of the country

Unfortunately, these leaders know that there will be good samaritans that would sponsor these talents and pay huge sums of money just to get the talent out there. These are what these corrupt leaders bank on and that's still holds true even on some of the poorest regions in the world. Football as a sport is famous, and these corrupt officials know that there is money in talent so long as they find it first and build a wall against these.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 11:22:54 PM
Gambling with loaned funds is outright insanity. You are just digging a grave for yourself because you don't have any guarantees that you will win anything, or even win back what you put in the casino/gambling platform. Better to gamble with something that came from your own money rather than getting it from somewhere else then making a problem out of it.
1808  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCrypto high onchain transaction fee on: July 28, 2023, 03:41:33 PM
1809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Good Source Of Motivation For You ... on: July 28, 2023, 02:57:16 PM
Well this is one way to motivate someone. It is also a good way to attract people on why it is not necessarily a waste of money to invest in general. It's like saying if you can spend a few hundred dollars over something that will only give you temporary enjoyment I'm sure you have some change in your pocket to invest on something that may double the money back. It's a good way to persuade people without offering false expectations.
1810  Other / Off-topic / Re: elon musk changed twitter Logo and he want to buy a twitter account for $69.42M on: July 28, 2023, 02:09:46 PM
Based on what I read from some reports that Elon had taken the username @X from his original user without giving any monetary compensation but he thanked him and offered him a choice of X Merchandise and a tour of X headquarters. Handle @X's initial user was Gene X Hwang who was a one of the founders of event photo company Oange Photography, now the handle has changed to @x12345678998765.1 But in this case we as Twitter users do not have any rights in the ownership of the handle name we use. so that Twitter can take the handle that we use at any time.

So I was right. I have been seeing tweets regarding this but I was not sure if it was true. However, you made a good point here about users not actually owning their usernames and can be taken away by the platform whenever they want. If it is true that Elon offered those things to the recent username owner then I think it was pretty generous of him and based on the previous owner's tweet it seems like he expected it to happen the moment X was announced.
1811  Other / Off-topic / Re: elon musk changed twitter Logo and he want to buy a twitter account for $69.42M on: July 28, 2023, 01:18:31 PM
Now this may look like it is a funny post. However, it is true that Elon Musk took the username name x from its previous owner (now the owner is using username (x1234567898765). It was all over the platform and people were asking if Elon bought the username yet the previous username owner never answered. The attached photo from op can be found on the reply on of the previous owner's recent tweets.
1812  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 28, 2023, 10:00:52 AM
The country I live in is an agricultural country. About 70% of the people of our country are engaged in agriculture. Agriculture is said to be the backbone of our country's economy. Although our country is an agricultural dependent country, there is very little use of improved technology for agriculture. Most of the farmers in our country are still farming according to ancient farming principles. But recently the government of our country has taken several steps to improve agriculture. The government of our country thinks that if the farmer lives, the country will live, so the farmers are trained in various subjects and made experienced for farming. Agriculture has kept the economic condition of our country alive till date.

This is something that a lot of countries that depends on agriculture should do. It is very vital for a government to ensure that the agriculture sector and farmers are well taken care of as they play a vital rile in the economic condition of a country. Aside from ensuring that there is something to eat, agriculture ensures that a country is able to produce for its people and even export products that helps a country's economy.
1813  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 28, 2023, 09:25:43 AM
Try to be up to date with what goes on in your industry. We know how the world changes regularly and if you're stuck on something others have moved past it might affect the growth of your business. It doesn't matter the industry you are in, be updated.

As on what I've noticed, only those business who are already big are the ones who take a loan but for me, I think it's not necessary anymore.

This is true, not because the start ups and small businesses don't need loans or don't apply for loans but because the banks and other financial institutions give loan to people they believe will be able to pay back with interest within the agreed period. They're in the business of making profit and some times they feel it's not worth it to take unnecessary risk on unestablished businesses.

This also goes for investors. They normally will only invest to a business that either already made a name for itself or they know will do so and make it big in the industry. As much as supporting small businesses is a great way to do, investors and lenders are in the business to make profits and therefore it is expected and understandable as to why they put most of their attention to big businesses instead.
1814  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 28, 2023, 08:32:26 AM
Financial stable is where you have few jobs and even one of your job are stopped, it doesn't ruin your financial because you still have the few other jobs. At least you still have money to feed yourself and family, pay bills etc. This is different with financial freedom where you don't need to work anymore and you're still making money when you sleep.

Financial stable is a must, if there's a family lack of financial, I'm sure the relationship will not good and there's a chance of conflict.

I highly agree with your that there are couples who often get into an argument due to a lack of financial funds.  I came from a poor family and I often see this thing happen since my parents sometimes got into an argument due to financial shortages, but they fix things before the day is over.

Financial stability is indeed a continuous flow of financial funds that support our basic needs.  Even with some problems around, we are able to continue with our living without any shortage of money since there is still a source of funds for us.
conflict due to financial is real, there are many that divorced for the sole reason of lack in the financial aspects. everyone might have different idea about what financial stability really is, but I think its all the same purpose that is to keep ourselves from starving and homeless.
my idea, is that, financial stability is about having back up plan, that could save us from becoming entirely moneyless.
having two or more jobs is fine, but I think having higher income is also more important and crucial. after all, with higher income you could literally save money for future problems that you might face.

Same here, most of the divorce I know happened because of the family has bad financial condition. I think everyone who want to get married and start a family need to got themself financially stable first. Making and supporting a family is expensive.

And as for me, financial stability is when I have enough money to both pay the bills, support my family lifestyles, and support my lifestyles. Just a casual lifestyles nothing luxurious.

That is a must have for me. Starting a family is not something you can just easily back away from the moment you realize that you can't fully take on the responsibility, especially when there are kids involved. Therefore it is truly better to be prepared before you take a step towards that direction. Ensuring that you have financial freedom to be your foundation in starting a family in this state of economy is vital.
1815  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 28, 2023, 07:33:51 AM
it all comes back to you personally how do you manage the loan money, if you use all the loan money just to meet your daily needs, then you should never be in debt if you don't want to be miserable later let alone make loans to conventional banks or online loans with interest relatively high. Because it is clear here that your income is proven to be unable to meet your needs, if you are in debt, where do you want to pay the interest and installments while your income is not sufficient, what you need to do is expand your business, not your loan.
Unless you borrow money to increase or expand your business, that's fine because the loan you borrow rolls back so you won't be confused about paying the loan and interest. And it is precisely with this loan that it can be an impetus for the business development agreement that you are doing.

So is it a negative loan or not. it comes back to you personally how you manage the loan, whether it's a short term loan or a long term one.

I agree with your points. Personally, I only take loans when I have to buy something that my family and I needs urgently. I also take loans if an emergency happens and my savings wouldn't be enough to cover it. Lastly, I took a loan for business before and now it is fully paid off. I think it is very vital to ensure that even if we take loans we still have the means to pay it.

1817  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 28, 2023, 06:10:32 AM
The financial statements are not wrong, Twitter is losing money is true, but that doesn't mean it's dead or Elon has failed. I find it quite amusing that so many people have started criticizing or gloating when Twitter has gone downhill since it was acquired by Elon. But they forget that business is not always smooth, especially when we are going through a severe economic crisis. Maybe he and Twitter are going through tough times, but I don't think he would be stupid to spend $46 billion without knowing what he's doing. Don't forget that he is the richest man in the world and he runs 5 different companies. Meanwhile, who are the people who laugh at him, and what success have they achieved?

I'm not defending him nor being a fan of him but we need to look at the fact that he is a genius and I believe he will soon bring Twitter back to its glory days.

Haven’t you heard? The bird is leaving the picture and there won’t be a twitter anymore. X is going to taking over the spotlight. For how long, I don’t know.
When you proclaim Elon to be a genius, it’s obvious you’re a fan as it’s also obvious(to me at least)from your post that you're defending his poor handling of twitter since he took over.

I wouldn’t exactly say people are gloating over the fact that Twitter seems to be going downhill since Elons takeover. And you’re right, business isn’t always smooth.
About taking twitter back to its old glory days, I think that ship has long sailed. Twitter may never go back to how it used to be and that’s currently being proven by its future rebranding from a bird to an X.

I was just about to go back here and say that. You're right, Twitter will not go back to its old days when it used to dominate other social platforms. The new changes that comes with the rebranding of Twitter to X throws a lot of users off. Many are slowly leaving Twitter to use Instagram or Threads.

So I think this one is a pretty bad move from Elon.
1818  Economy / Economics / Re: Federal Reserve launches FedNow instant payment service on: July 28, 2023, 05:36:36 AM
As long as they don't remove physical FIAT completely, this is a good move going forward. We all know that it is not going last forever though. Sooner or later they will make their move to remove FIAT from circulation and then this new CBDC network will become a digital prison. You can only escape it using bitcoin. Some people think CBDC's will make bitcoin obsolete. Actually it is completely the opposite. Bitcoin will become even more popular when people find out the bullshit they are being fed with FEDCOIN.

Removing physical FIAT is not as easy as it looks like. Yes, perhaps the sudden emergence of these digital currencies may look like it will soon bring physical FIAT down, but it will take years. The changes, adaptation, acceptance and adjustment of the public will play a major role in this. But I do agree that if this happens Bitcoin will become more popular, but it will be long in the future.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 27, 2023, 11:57:03 PM
Someone who is addicted to gambling, does not matter whether they have set a deposit limit or not, they will eventually move to another casino, create a different account, or even gamble in the streets.

There will come a time wherein those who have activated such feature or tool in one casino will have their accounts in another casino automatically activate this feature without them doing anything. In this way, there will be no way for the gambler to game the system or to try to cheat the current restrictions imposed on their accounts. The casinos would have to work together for this however, and I guess that's way harder to achieve.

People who purposely limited their account should have it activated on other platforms too, so as to learn how to control themselves with the help of the casino platform itself.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 27, 2023, 11:44:23 PM
Most of those who manage to win instead of taking the money out from this venue, they will think that they can repeat it from time to time, but like on your opinion, lucky for those who manage to divert their winning money to another income generated business or any alternative passive investment that will give them a chance to collect more money from any income generating venues.

Instead of keeping playing and be addicted, it's wiser to leave gambling if you still have that chance, else, you will suffer
a lot from this addiction.

Unfortunately, people will always try to see if their method works even if it's something that cannot be easily replicated. There is a lot of flaw in this line of thinking and should be dropped if gamblers really want to make money. I've known a few people who are successful in gambling, and even though that's the case, they're still looking to find more ways to make more money. That's what most gamblers should do if they want to profit off of their activities and not waste a lot of money in gambling alone.
