1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game Have You Won The Most From And How Much In Total? on: October 19, 2022, 07:01:03 AM
Those gambling websites are designed to make players lose, this is the biggest painful truth about gambling websites, you will lose a lot and win less, you just have to limit your risks yourself.

As for your topic I thought its wrong to share how much one have made from crypto investment or gambling online? I've read a few comments about this so do not expect anyone to tell you.
1802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Threat lies in every corner while investing in crypto (a must read for newbies) on: October 19, 2022, 06:12:22 AM
Just so as not to be misleading, I think the proper title of this thread is:

Code:
Threat lies in every corner while investing in altcoin (a must read for newbies)

I can absolutely assure you that by investing in bitcoin, you will eliminate all the threats you wrote about in the OP. On the other hand, you will continue to feel that there is a huge risk behind new or old altcoin projects considering that most of them are centralized projects. So that is the reason why bitcoin is the best investment asset in crypto.
It's still a threat for someone who bought BTC at 65,000$ and hold because you can never tell if they are physically and mentally ready to hold for long, till another bull market gets here, also you can never tell the kinda life style the investor is living in, if things gets tougher they might be forced to give up.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any liquidity scanner for smart contract on: October 19, 2022, 05:25:54 AM
Is there any scanner that can find liquidity for tokens by using the token smart contract address for the search? I always use coinmarketcap for such but there are some tokens that are not even listed on coinmarketcap and coingecko.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 18, 2022, 08:59:51 PM
When I was a crypto newbie I used to think that the best projects always come from celebs, if the project isn't shill by a celeb I have no interest until John McAfee shot me in the leg, I trusted this man but one project I released was scam and I lost a lot of money, your money is your money do not trust celebrities.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: High Mem Temp on my RTX 3070ti on: October 18, 2022, 06:58:55 PM
Two solutions are available for RTX30 series cards that are overheating

1. there is a copper plate available on online stores, it's easy to install and make sure you add thermal paste on the copper plate before fixing the cooler back, it looks like this..

2. There is also another way but a bit dangerous, you will use copper plates too but they are small in size, find the right thermal pad for your GPU, since it's 3070ti I'm guessing 2MM size will work, go on youtube and search for 3070ti copper plate install you will see few videos, see what the copper looks like below..

This second option is very effective, it can take --30°C off your mem temp if done correctly, pls watch videos before proceeding.
Ok I will search on youtube for this modification, I changed the pad yesterday as I don't like it laying around doing nothing but those pads are from china, very cheap too maybe that's why I get bad results, the temp even got worse after changing the pads.
You have expensive gpu with cheap pads. What else can go wrong ?  Grin i advice get thermalright ODIN is best so far.i love them.it is better than regular thermalright
Few people went through this modification for months now and their 3070ti is still working very well, what could go wrong you said? None, you can go on Youtube and search for 3070ti Copper plate modification, it's the best mod I've seen for the GPU.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Multiple transaction on Metamask on: October 18, 2022, 06:25:05 PM
I have two questions pertaining metamask wallet, both mobile and PC

Is it possible to make multiple transactions using metamask instead of sending one after the other?

Is there any difference is performance between metamask mobile and metamask PC wallet? Security wise.

Is there any other more effective way?.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your criteria for selecting projects? on: October 18, 2022, 03:11:24 PM
It's all about the team and the utility of the project, if the project wants to solve major problem we facing in crypto space then I am in, it doesn't mean I will go all in as its better to still invest only what can afford to lose just in case, many new projects will promise to solve a problem and later they will do nothing.
1808  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Youtube Scam in Action on: October 17, 2022, 02:46:47 PM
[snip]
I did further research on YouTube and the scam links are huge in number, here is another fake link https://bak-dome.com/?utm_source=Everdome_7&utm_medium=everdome_stake&utm_campaign=1
Well thank you for the warning but I have a suggestion, is this a fake link?
Can censor it by using forum insert code like this,
Code:
https://bak-dome.com/?utm_source=Everdome_7&utm_medium=everdome_stake&utm_campaign=1
I clicked it and it seems you are redirected to the exchange site which asks to connect your wallet.
One thing that I wanted to know, is that Youtuber is popular that has many subscribers? Do you think it is worth listening to him?
You don't need to, I use a empty wallet to connect to the website and I see few unrealistic returns, its like you will give away your assets thinking you are staking and waiting for returns, you ain't getting any, like I've said I used a wallet I generated without writing down its phrase, just for testing purpose.
1809  Other / Beginners & Help / New Youtube Scam in Action on: October 17, 2022, 08:18:29 AM
If you like watching crypto videos on YouTube this post is for you.

Be careful with YouTubers that provide links to websites under their videos some are scammers and this is one of the latest ways that newbies are losing money,  a brother who lives close was trying to watch some videos on YouTube about how to stake EverDome token for APY returns and he almost lost it all, the Youtuber dropped a link that's not Bakeryswap.org 👈 which is the official Bakeryswap website, instead, the scammer dropped this

He was lucky to ask question because he was also curious.

1. The fake website has higher APY % compare to the original Bakeryswap APY

2. EverDome staking was never available on the Original Bakeryswap, I guess the scammer knew that people are buying and staking Everdome token on the official website and he plan to lure people with higher APY

Use your brain out there famz, do not trust all videos you watch on Youtube, always make sure you do some research on the link you are provided, make sure its the official link before connecting your wallet.

I did further research on YouTube and the scam links are huge in number, here is another fake link https://bak-dome.com/?utm_source=Everdome_7&utm_medium=everdome_stake&utm_campaign=1

Stay safe FAMZ
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MinerList: Miner price tracking and Advanced Coin Profitability Tools on: October 16, 2022, 02:25:06 PM
I just checked the website out right now and it looks accurate, assuming a miner is more profitable than the other tomorrow is the website going to automatically update itself? I've only seen this with Nicehash before, thanks for sharing I will bookmark right away.
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of benefits can Metaverse Gaming Project get in the future? on: October 16, 2022, 10:42:22 AM
We can't predict the future but all I can say is be careful with play to earn games, generally right now play to earn mechanism is broken, it only makes early adopters rich and make the later investors poor, be careful.
1812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a web2 dev who wants to enter the space, where would you start your journey? on: October 16, 2022, 09:34:47 AM
You are afraid because you have nothing needy to offer crypto space but you want to do something, it's normal, since you are a developer you need a lot of readings to do, there are few niches with flaws in crypto space today and crypto wallets are not 100% there yet, since this is your field I don't see why you shouldn't give your shot.
1813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes Dev different on: October 16, 2022, 07:02:20 AM
1. Many projects raised millions of dollars but that's it, they keep the money to themselves, I am not an expert in this field but projects that want to be successful needs to spend money on getting their names on billboard, popular website as ads, even search engines, every corners that news can get to people faster.

2. Separating your project from the crypto hoards means you must have something new to offer, a new utility that solves big problems in crypto space, before a project is born an idea must be created, sit down and look at the problems affecting crypto right now and create something we haven't seen before.

3. It's your choice as a developer, KYC is a no no situation for me and it doesn't mean many cares like I do, hundreds of projects still introduce KYC today and people still join their platform, It's hard to get rid of KYC in crypto space, not even now that regulation news is everywhere.

4. That's one thing about crypto world and innovation, no matter how young you are the world doesn't care, we only care about the ideas that can change everything, give us something that works and we will follow you as a big community, age is just a number my friend.

5. Utility, Team level of experience, fund management, tokenomics,  marketing ideas 💡
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine for the next bull season ? on: October 16, 2022, 06:48:01 AM
It's better to buy Ethereum PoW coins than mining, the reward is not worth the electricity that's been burned, I keep mining only because I have free power through solar panels and some times I just shut down the whole rigs, with Ethereum gone this season is so cold for miners compare to 2018-2019 bear market, if Ethereum is still here miners will still make some good dollars per day.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 16, 2022, 06:08:18 AM
No way, even if I am a pro gambler I will never influence my kid to be a gambler and I would not want to see my kid doing that, there is a gambler in my city that knows he way around gambling and his downfall started when his first son started wasting his money in casinos, he has no gambling experiences and lessons and he kept losing money until he got into a big debt.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: October 14, 2022, 01:03:06 PM
Wow, if they want to ban it they should go ahead, we have YouTube right? I believe YouTube still allow gambling videos with fair rules and regulations for the YouTubers, this is what Twitch should do too but well it's their problem.
1817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every email is a scammer's target, open only if you are expecting on: October 14, 2022, 10:23:57 AM
Don't be surprised that even on the forum like this many just have to activate the function of "hide your email" from public view just as not to receive unsolicited troll on it, but i will say that if we do not make an opening for them there's no way or means for them to penetrate in, let's take caution of the websites visited, links we click, google forms we fill, ads and downloads we make, this will Shield us away to an extent far from any attempted means to attack us.
Now I know why its safer to avoid shilling your bags on the forum while your email address is visible? If you do this one can target your email address hoping that you fall victim to their traps, good one newbie.
1818  Other / Beginners & Help / Every email is a scammer's target, open only if you are expecting on: October 14, 2022, 08:01:22 AM
Be careful which messages you decide to open up in your email account, some are malicious codes, I get this mail inbox today and its full of recovery seed and a PDF file that consists of God knows what..

1) its either this consists of a malware that will hunt down every crypto related assets on your PC or every bank account information on your PC.

2) or its one of those wallets and automatically send out ETH when you greedily deposit Ethereum on the wallet. Do not claim what's not yours.

Do not download PDFs from mails, its 💯 Danger 🚸
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Trustwallet Safe? on: October 14, 2022, 07:36:10 AM
Trust wallet is safe if you keep the recovery seed offline and if you stay away from airdrops and too good to be true offers on the web, avoid clicking links that you get through emails too, they aren't safe, I haven't heard about hacks or loss of fund on trust wallet but still one needs to be extra careful.
1820  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 13, 2022, 11:46:43 AM
School? It's like opening schools where you teach people only how to make money, its never going to work and the government will be on your ass ASAP, crypto can't be teach in schools you want to ruin all the government plans  Grin  Grin, if you feel like someone have to do this then nothing should be stopping you, do some gathering in your home town first and teach people about crypto, this is a better approach.
