We are good at waiting  Smiley

I calculated that the peak of this bubble will be somewhere at 3400$ - 3800$ ... so 3.4k - 3.8k USD ... if they don't destroy the financial system before it will reach that point based on the actual value of the US dollar... and that meaning if they try to bury it in to the ground (the US dollar) ... we would probably see that 3.4k$ - 3.8k$ be 20-30x ... so that might be 70k$ - 90k$.

Meaning... yes... I just said that... the dollar may be devalued between 2000% and 3000% ... And the sad sheeple muricans will become a 3rd world country owned partially by China!  Roll Eyes

*edit: Venezuela 2.0!

Do you think we will break 750 in the next week?

It will go 10$ per week on average from now on... If it goes 5x / 10x more than that in a short period of time... make sure to gamble! ... Correction in 1-2 week from 765$ to 745$ ...

Have a look on this log log plot and channel.

The price is log as you normally compare gains in percentage.

The time, from about Aug 2010 to now, is in log scale as well i.o. to account for the exponential growth.

It predicts a top of 80000 by end of 2018 and reaching 1Mio not before 2025...

Data are from blockchain.info

In the lower right corner you see same log log for gold. from 1969 to about 1990 you might just compare the price increase, which was mostly same shape as for bitcoin but way lower exponent.

So.... we gonna have "millions" in 8-9 years by 2025! ... Nice! Very sweet & tender!  Cheesy

Just got back from buying all I could afford on a Sunday... half a coin.

Looks like I may have caught the bottom.

At times like this I get nostalgic for when I could take $500 bucks and go buy 5 coins but as I said on the last buyable dip, half a coin is better than no coins at all.

Your grandchildren / ancestors will raise bronze and marble statues in the middle of cities and inside their homes!  Cheesy Cheesy Roll Eyes

I think most of us who have been in Bitcoin for several years will be deciding between doing our accounting First In First Out (FIFO) or Last In First Out (LIFO). You have to consider that the capital gains for short term gains is 10 to 20 percent higher than for long term gains (over a year). But the bitcoin price this year and in previous years has gone up so much that such a difference is not enough (for example, I started buying at $20 so I would not choose FIFO because my gains would be over 1000% on my initial coins).

For me, I don't think I have ever sold bitcoins (on Coinbase) for fiat. I usually spend it. So I would choose LIFO because I have my money converted to bitcoins for each paycheck. So the gains in any given 2 week period are minimal, over the course of the year when one week may be down, one may be up it will add up to a very small amount.

In the future if I were to want to cash out a large portion of my bitcoins or spend a large amount I would probably structure my holdings via some sort of Caymen Islands type of thing as opposed to paying the capital gains on thousands of percent in gains.

This is usually where people say "consult an attorney" or whatever. Fuck that, you have the Internet and you probably know a lot more about Bitcoin than those assholes. Do your own research and you'll find the best way forward.

Look in to my eyes and I will tell you the future!

Oh boy... Here we go!... Well... Elwar... the thing is like this and I'm sorry I need to break it to you! In the future the concept of tax will be not sustainable. Meaning there will be no taxes. Because I have a lot of time on my hands and I meditated for some time about this... And I see there are social problems with pensions, healthcare, the public school system... etc... So... Listen to me! ... There will be no taxes... soon.

The thing is that most of you are sheeple (maybe not the people on this forum... at least most of them) ... The problem of your concept is that you don't need to pay taxes! ... Because that's what they want you to believe! Just to feed their corrupt and decaying system!

You see those sheep?? .. They just need a big bad wolf on their side to start running sideways in that high snow. Just like all you tax paying motherF&#@ers... Smiley ... U feeling me??  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

And I'm not talking only to you.. but with all those who read this right now... And for example you should stop giving your monthly pension contribution in some "private fun"-d ... But instead you should bootstrap or do some mattress bulking with some of the money (in some solid long term self owned investments like: bitcoin, gold, silver... dunno diversify your portfolio) that u keep donating in those fake/illusion pension funds. Their socialism bullsh!t won't last 4ever!

Because in the future if you need something... You will pay for it from your own pocket! And there will not be any socialist insurance to bail you with your health, your car or other goods that you might own!
You should just cut off the middleman! Because he kinda just enslaved the world.

Yes Bitcoin needs institutional investors to become great again

No, it doesn't.
Bitcoin doesn't need institutional investors to be great.
Institutional investors need Bitcoin if they want to be institutional investors.

What I posted wasn't my view but what might be  posted by a fiat lover in response to that post by fearless leader.

All my fiat goes to either necessities (self defined  ofc ) or crypto.

Btc +62% YTD

Becoin said a good thing... because if you take a look and think clearly... not even gold or silver holds a relative stable value! For example if we decide to go back to gold, silver & copper coins as currency... Then what is to stop an alien race and to bring tons of gold and buy us out?? Smiley ... But on the other hand BTCitcoin ... well... it stores value and you need productivity to increase your amount of biTcoin.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we lost about half of the gains from last night's US "election" results... currently $728 on Bitcoinaverage.

Really, that's not much movement from an event that was supposed to be so important.

Who the F' knows who voted who... (meaning that the "who" is pointless and probably the same side of a coin) ... With time will tell.

I hate stocks. They dont have tradeable trends and they just immediately jump to some target price whenever news comes out. There are no rebounds and corrections. The banks and big guns have everything locked down to a tee. The worst is how they close and gap on the next day when you cannot trade them, plus they can be halted. On top of that, you have to pay extra to get real time data and pay for order books, on a market by market basis.

I love stocks... you can control the price of food, water, gas, etc... for the population. But what concerns me, and any of you don't seem to give a sh!t about is the money that flow in these exchanges. And what will happen when they realize that bitcoin/gold or any other precious physical metal is more precious than what we give them. It is just a big snowball ready to roll down the hill.  Roll Eyes  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Bitcoin is still not large and mature enough yet to be a safe haven. It's still a high tech science experiment mostly supported by the permissiveness of banks and governments. It is going to follow the markets - not go against them.

Dude... u'r some FOMO heavy breather... do you want to buy more and you are waiting your next pay day in a week or so?? Or what is with all the BS's propaganda you are implying??  Roll Eyes

Do you at least know why bitcoin is so slow and not going directly to 10-50 million US$ per coin?? ... Because that means they need to give up their scam system for a legitimate foolproof system.  Cool

bitcoin not a safe haven that's why all my investments in bitcoin are up over 100% in 3 years

my stocks are up no more than 10% in three years

Stocks...  Cheesy

I like stocks... but in this case... I'm just keeping my money away from the banks! For like almost 3-4 years... not keeping anything in the bank anymore! Everyone should do the same! Don't keep u'r sh!t in the bank... but I guess only outside readers would pay attention to this since most of you f$%@ers here don't keep them anyway...  Smiley
