1801  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 13, 2017, 05:39:22 PM
Saving your Bitcoins is not a bad idea, given the fact that as a currency which is protected from inflation, its buying power is not going to decline in the future. But at the same time, holding your coins will negatively affect the ongoing adoption efforts.

Let's vote to get this coin listed on C-Cex !!

https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

There are hundreds of coins listed out there, and unfortunately I couldn't find Torcoin among them. How to vote for Torcoin there? Also, they are having something like Bitcoin voting. Do we need to spend our BTC to vote?

Torcoin is already listed there!

https://c-cex.com/?p=tor-btc

Send an e-mail to support@bittrex.com explaining why you think Torcoin should be listed there Smiley

I have sent the email to Bittrex.com. Just hoping that they will respond positively to my request. At the same time, I will do my part in popularizing Torcoin, by giving small giveaways to my friends.
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Luke Jr expect segwit to be activated? on: May 13, 2017, 05:02:09 PM
alt are there for diversification, if you want to invest big amount in a cheap coins for a great return you can do it, without altcoin you can't

Once a correction happens to Bitcoin, everyone who has invested their hard earned money in the alts are going to lose their investment. I still remember how Litecoin crashed from BTC0.03 to BTC0.004 ($21 to $1) when Bitcoin came down from $700 to $230.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin activate segwit as litecoin price peaks at 30USD? on: May 13, 2017, 04:57:24 PM
litecoin price increased over 300 percent in a month and Chinese investors had a discussion last week about the future of litecoin. http://news.8btc.com/litecoin-price-peaks-at-30-usd-but-is-it-a-bubble
Since Litecoin is often looked as a Bitcoin testbed, they wonder if btc will soon activate segwit, though Bitcoin keeps meeting opposition from miners.
You better tell me why the same miners who were opposing SegWit activation for Bitcoin have no problem with allowing it for Litecoin?
Jihan Wu was totally happy with SegWit during Litecoin's scaling conference and soon after AntPool switched started signalling SW.

It is not rocket science, is it? if the delay in implementing the Segwit causes a rise in the number of unconfirmed transactions, then obviously it is going to benefit the altcoins. So those who want the altcoins to rise will oppose the SegWit implementation for Bitcoin.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing Faith in Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2017, 04:53:39 PM
You lose faith too quick. The civilwar is just a usual conflict of interest and BU will never win againts core. And the price? dude it's just $100 drop in one day, did you realize that we've been climbing from $1200 without some correction? correction is bound to happen and it's good that the price only down $100. If it fall below $1000 then you may start worrying for bitcoin future.

The exchange rates doesn't matter much, as long as Bitcoin retains such a large userbase. You need to start worrying when the altcoins like Ether and Ripple attract a part of the Bitcoin users.
1806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WannaCry Ransomware Extorts 39 Payments Worth 6.49 BTC – TODAY on: May 13, 2017, 04:50:28 PM
...

They say it's the largest ransomware attack ever made, NSA is guilty of this because hackers apparently used their tools to spread it. https://intel.malwaretech.com/botnet/wcrypt

No. The NSA is not the guilty party here. Microsoft is. Security is not the primary design goal of Windows. DRM and the protection of "intellectual property", followed by up-selling are the primary design goals of Windows.

Was Windows XP the only OS affected? Or the newest ones too?

Most of the affected systems had Windows XP (perhaps more than 90%). It was quite irresponsible from the part of Microsoft to end their support for Windows XP. The severity of this particular attack could have been significantly reduced if there was support.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: May 13, 2017, 04:46:27 PM
cause it is the first digital currency simply

That is one of the reasons. Another reason is that Bitcoin was invented by someone who was not money minded. Unlike some of the other altcoins, there were no pre-mine and pump and dump.
1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: May 09, 2017, 04:59:07 PM
I invested in Ethereum, when the exchange rates were like 1 Ether = BTC0.002. Now the exchange rates have increased by around 25 times. My only regret is that I invested a very small amount in Ether.
1809  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Earn Money In Blog on: May 09, 2017, 04:56:37 PM
I am using a-ads (previously known as Anonymous Ads) for my blog. The payout is OK, but much lower than google adsense. It is useful, if your blog can't qualify for adsense. Coinurl is another choice, but the payout is not that high.

1812  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Slow payments and fees solution??? on: May 09, 2017, 01:42:09 AM
Miner fee is compulsory.if you don't give minimum fees the transaction will take long time to confirmation. Use blockchain wallet for low fee or zero fee, . You can set your own fee, but if you don't give them appropriate fee its take long time to confirm the transaction.

The fee required for instant confirmation is rising, due to the increase in the number of transactions. Even the implementation of Segwit is not going to help in the long term. We need a permanent solution.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin activate segwit as litecoin price peaks at 30USD? on: May 09, 2017, 01:39:23 AM
Segwit needs 95% approval, right? That is practically impossible to achieve. In order to get 95% approval, all the major mining pools without exception must reach a consensus. Right now, the probability of something like that happening seems remote.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: May 09, 2017, 01:37:17 AM
Physical cash has its own advantages. For example, it doesn't need a laptop or a mobile device to send payments. Also, no other form of payment can be as anonymous as the physical cash.
1815  Other / Off-topic / Re: is worth to buy bitcoins? on: May 09, 2017, 01:34:38 AM
Take the peak of 2013 December as a baseline case. Those who had purchased Bitcoins for $1,200 per coin now are sitting on top of 40% profit now. So Yes. It is worth to buy bitcoins now, if you can wait for 3-4 years.

How are you planning to bring ebitz to deep web, we need more info on this.
Our first move is be listed in one of the biggest market (we already made the agreement but for security reasons we can disclose the name of the market)

Which security reasons? We will find out soon anyway so why not tell which market it is? i want to invest but there is something that i not trust yet. Need more indicators, devs are not known, we dont know which features going to be on top of zcash, they dont tell which market has been accepted ebitz (one of the biggest deep web markets they say), they only ask 500 btc, will it be enough to commit to this project?

Also when do you start working on the project?

I have a feeling they havent any agreement with one of the biggest markets.
