801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: March 22, 2018, 04:53:50 PM
Right now, the altcoin which looks the most under-priced for me is Monero. I expect Monero to give returns ranging from 2x to 10x this year (2018). Another altcoin which is worth investing is Stellar Lumens.

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] KWH BOUNTY NOW ON BTCTALK! BOUNTY OVER. on: March 18, 2018, 04:49:41 PM
Since the bounty is over, I am removing the signature and avatar.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: March 11, 2018, 05:36:17 AM
Cable TV viewership is going down with each passing year, as people are more interested in other avenues such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. I think it will be better to advertise in the internet, rather than spending money on TV advertisements.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: March 11, 2018, 05:33:53 AM
If I need to make a choice between Bitcoin and cash for this purpose, then I would chose cash. Because Bitcoin is such a volatile asset, and there is no guarantee that it will survive for another 10-15 years. At the most, I can put 20% of the savings in BTC, but not more than that.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: king of all coins on: March 11, 2018, 05:30:52 AM
The king of coin is bitcoin, it is the first and the longest, it is coin of great value and determines the price of other coin.

Bitcoin was the first crypto-coin and so it is understandable why it is having the maximum user-base. Many of the altcoins are just copycats, trying to exploit the buzz generated by Bitcoin (with the exception of a few alts such as ETH and BCH, which have their own unique purpose).
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know which coins are good? on: March 10, 2018, 04:00:44 PM
Before selecting a coin to invest, I look for the following characteristics:

1. An gradual increase in the user-base during the past 2-3 months.
2. Listing in the major crypto-exchanges.
3. An increase in the trade volumes.
4. Increasing acceptability.
5. Most of the coins in free-float mode.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin falling? on: March 10, 2018, 03:54:27 PM
It has fallen when compared to the prices in December. But you should remember that the exchange rates were below $1,000 per coin less than 15 months ago. Compared to that, the prices are still up by some 850%.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with my crypto when I die? on: March 10, 2018, 03:51:52 PM
if no one knows you have crypto then its lost forever .

Yes... It has happened with a lot of people in the past, and it is going to happen quite frequently in the future as well. Due to the unique nature of cryptos, it is quite risky to pass on the private keys and passwords to someone else. Unfortunately, this results in the coins getting lost if something happens to the owner.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: March 10, 2018, 03:50:14 PM
It will not be easy for Bitcoin to replace an asset which has been in existence for more then 5,000 years. IMO, Bitcoin and god may co-exist for sometime. In due course of time, Bitcoin will be replaced by some other technology, but gold will be there for the long-term future.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: March 09, 2018, 04:33:04 PM
Quote
Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty?
The only way to end Poverty - sterelise poor people.

Although this may sound quite rude, in reality this is the only method to eradicate poverty in an effective way. Population explosion is the no.1 reason for poverty. The only way to eradicate it is through population control, and not through Bitcoin distribution.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin to be over $5000 in 2018? on: March 09, 2018, 04:31:19 PM
Once I had high hopes for Litecoin. But these were never materialized. After incurring some loses as a result of investing in Litecoin, I realized that it is just another altcoin without any additional features when compared to Bitcoin.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: March 09, 2018, 04:29:01 PM
Yes.. during the past 2-3 months, I have increased my altcoin holdings. There was an increase with regards to my holdings in ETH, LTC, XMR and BCH. On top of that, I purchased small amounts of other alts, such as Bitsend, Deep Onion, Byteball, Stellar Lumens, and Waves.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving. on: March 05, 2018, 05:52:16 PM
Saving bitcoins is the best thing to do because in the future, the value of every coin will still increase

Do you have any proof to support this claim? IMO, there is no guarantee that the prices will continue to increase. There can be a major correction or a crash, and there is even a possibility that the prices may never witness $10K per coin again.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans jail a 24 year old for selling bitcoins wthout asking for ID on: March 05, 2018, 05:49:19 PM
I don't accept this one. This is very bad one.The U.S government can ask them to buy a tax for the bitcoin, instead of jail him .Since he is a trader, localbitcoin should help them to get out of this trouble. If this happen to the traders in local bitcoin, many will refuse to trade in local bitcoin in future.

This has happened to traders in Localbitcoins many times. I have heard about at least half-a-dozen cases in the United States. It still surprises me that the traders there are using this platform for their crypto-trading.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become a daily currency??? on: March 05, 2018, 05:43:51 PM
it is unlikely that bitcoin is used as a daily currency, since no country wants to replace their current official currency with bitcoin.
Bitcoin is better, keep it this way. become a profitable investment and also as a means of trading.

If Bitcoin becomes a daily currency, then that doesn't necessarily mean that the official currency is going to be replaced by Bitcoin. Fiat will retain its place, and Bitcoin will be used along with it. But the daily volume of the fiat currency can get affected.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: March 05, 2018, 05:39:33 PM
Even if Bitcoin loses its position as the no.1 crypto-currency in the future, it will survive for another 10-20 years as per my calculations. But once it is dislodged from the no.1 position, the exchange rates will slide quite heavily.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 03, 2018, 12:55:04 PM
Bitcoin has reached a stage where it needs hardly any advertisement or promotion. But even then, it will be better to have some awareness campaigns, in order to remove doubts regarding crypto-currency from the ordinary people.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash? on: March 03, 2018, 12:53:56 PM
Atleast Narendra Modi got some brains to prevent this digital plague from grasping indians

WTF? If it is digital plague, then why you are posting here? I checked a few of your posts, and I can see that you are a sore loser.

Masterbate three times a day. You will lose weight definitely in few days

Still I fail to understand why people like this guy are allowed to post here in the main sub-forum.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: March 03, 2018, 12:50:15 PM
IMO, Ethreum and Monero are the coins which can be used for long-term investment. Ethereum is looking a bit over-priced right now, but for the long-term, we can expect it to give good returns to the investors.
