1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 27, 2023, 11:25:45 PM
People who gamble don't need to have exact figures plastered everywhere in order for them to gamble more responsibly. I think most already have a sense of how much they are only allowed to lose, or allowed to gamble with at any given point in time. Usually, the exact figures recommended by people aren't really followed. Almost all will surely go beyond that figure, and that's them being careful already.
1822  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Internet Apocalypse, Handa kaba? on: July 27, 2023, 02:19:36 PM
Sad to hear if this gonna happen. Most of the people rely on internet. Sa work, sa internet nag rerely for faster and efficient flow of work.

1823  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: July 27, 2023, 12:57:39 PM
I think you forgot to consider that Billionaires are the one who provides job and services to normal people. It’s not their problem if they are getting most of the wealth because their business.

The Government fiat is the real problem and the reason that affects the economy badly. They keep printing money while they didn’t give much value on the services provided by the workers. This is the reason why Billionaires keeping up on earning while normal worker is struggling because their services value doesn’t increase.

or could these people with sufficient conditions to change this system contribute something more than providing employment, such as giving generous salaries instead of focusing on getting rich valuing the efforts of their workers, and in this way making the world more equitable by reducing poverty..  It is true that governments do not contribute anything to avoid the need that many citizens have to live with but these people who if they have the conditions to help do not do it, why?  they are simply not interested, their only focus is to grow and if they see that someone does not contribute to thethat growth they fire them regardless of the circumstances in which they live in this world despite the fact that they seem to want to contribute to society, they continue to look out for their own interests and when they are harmed they will throw anyone into the fire this is why both the rich since governments are actually the problem, both are to blame for both economic stability and the growth of poverty.
They are actually realistic, it's impossible to overpay many people or just some people, maybe I think because being able to create jobs is one of the factors that makes the difference between iliaders and ordinary people and because it makes them have little influence on the economy, apart from that it will be profitable for them too because realistically every human being will continue to seek money or profits even though they are already very rich.
However, it cannot be denied that the government's role is very large in regulating policies for workers such as wage standards or other things, this has a big influence on economic changes for you people from the lower classes.

I agree about your statement on the government's role. People tend to direct their anger towards the rich/billionaires that they forget the role of the government in such matter. There are a lot of instances where the company that people are working for are tied down by the policies given by the government they are under. For example, in my country there is an age limit for people to continue working, so despite the very company wanting to keep their old employees on board, they cannot do so because of the policies given by the government which will cause problems to them.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 27, 2023, 11:53:11 AM
I'm paid in another coin and it's fine. But I don't think people would do it massively

It would be hard to do it massively as a lot of commerce are still not open to accept bitcoin. As we all know there is still an existing mindset of the public about the negative views on using bitcoin. Though I do agree that it will be a good change specially in trading and international transaction, it is something that will take a long time for people to accept and adapt. Hopefully though, one day it will come to that.
1825  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: July 27, 2023, 11:28:19 AM
Africans are blessed with a lot of minerals that if this resources are gainfully used for benefit of their citizens, this God given resources would add colours to Africans. Countries in Africans like Nigeria, Serial Leone, Ghana, kenya, south Africa and lots more you will a lot of natural resources either misused or abandon by government and even if they see need to use them, is either abused or mismanaged. Petrol in Nigeria till today is been refined outside country and still import back to Nigeria on a high price, lots of minerals like coals, salt, kerosene, gas, petroleum and so on but no appropriate handling of this resources, so even the citizens can not benefit from it. If Africa can make use of their resources well, they will be more independent, free from indebtedness and indirect colonial system of other countries.
I'm all for the development and prosperity of African countries, but it's not an easy road. First, there's corruption and violence, both of which need to significantly be tuned down for progress. Then there's the impact of colonialism which you've mentioned, and it's unfortunately hard to escape it because economic dependency is still strong. Finally, the world is starting to move away from the exploitation of natural resources toward more sustainable activities because of climate change, so I think that it's not a good time to start working on building economies around minerals and stuff.

I agree with your points specifically the colonialism. Even in the mindset of the people, it is relatively hard to take away from. Perhaps it truly has to do with our dependency on the countries that once colonized us. Even in my country now, despite stating that we are free from colonization from any country it is evident that US have a great grasp on us and our governmental decisions. I'm sure the decisions for our mineral resources (which is rich in our country) is also dependent on what the US and China thinks of it.
1826  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 27, 2023, 10:04:35 AM
Even before getting into it and start following the above points one should have basic component at their hands called as “funding”. Depending on the nature of business one needs to decide funding prior to planning an idea to make it reality. This is important because adjusting funds after getting into funds could be disaster or in other words it could bring unwanted struggles on our way. I have seen this example very closely with relatives. It’s another fact that they managed to pick up a speed after bank approvals went through and they had money to spare. Rest is obviously what you mentioned in the article is all about step by step workflow to successful business.
Of course, it must be recognized that funding is essential before any business venture can be consulted. When a person makes a plan to start a business he must first raise money, and plan afterwards. of course, you are right, basically in business, it is never possible to go ahead with a loan from the bank, many times it poses a huge danger. However, in the first case, if he does business with money from a specific fund instead of taking money from the bank, then it is possible to move forward in the future. and moving forward step by step must depend on something good, so before starting the business, various plans must be made seriously.
There is only a few business that money doesn't really matters but if you have money, especially a nice amount, you will gain more advantage. There are some who just look for a partner or run a funding campaign and ask the public to invest on them. This might be a good idea to gain funds.

Another way is to get a loan although this one seems risky because we are not sure yet if our business will be successful or not. As on what I've noticed, only those business who are already big are the ones who take a loan but for me, I think it's not necessary anymore. Planning should still come first before anything. It's like our map so that we won't get lost in our destinations.

Of course having funds is a really great advantage when you are starting a business. Not only will you have more than enough funds to set up everything your business needs, you will also be able to have marketing projects that will surely attract customers faster. There are many ways to get funds, but you need to be smart in using those funds.
1827  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: July 27, 2023, 09:34:41 AM
War is never a good idea for conflicting countries, dialogue is always the best means for actualizing lasting peace between two nations that are in disagreement.

When there is war, the manufacturers of weapons benefit more, because they see it as an opportunity to either sell their weapons or test-run their new weapons in other to know the actual capacity and function of such weapons, in case of future use.

Mercenaries also benefit, as the case may be, either of these countries hires their services in the end they get paid for it, it doesn't matter if they will win or not, whichever way they will get their payment because of the existing agreement.

Note there might be a winner, but the question is, the nation we perceived as the winner was there no casualties recorded by them?
To me, when there is a war between two countries, I don't see any victory of any kind, because in most cases both countries record high casualties and infrastructural damage. Rebuilding and rehabilitating this country involved, takes a lot of time, in some cases, there may not be rebuilding and even though there is, are they going to rebuild the dead ones, the answer is no.

Say no to war, dialogue remains the best option for the resolution of conflict.

You made great points here. Those who will "benefit" from war will only live thru their attained benefits temporarily. Soon enough they will also feel the consequences of the war, which will surely last for so long. Not only that but it is something that will constantly visit them as people will keep on looking back on the happenings of the war.
1828  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 27, 2023, 08:59:44 AM
As a man, the first rule to take very serious is to avoid kids and female, in your early 20s set your mind of financial freedom, this will get you somewhere even if your life goals haven't become a reality, they way you think will be different.

I see most men starting to regret only after they have two kids and a wife at home, that's when they will start feeling like they messed up, the job they do won't be enough to do something good for themselves because of the responsibility, I have seen some men living the rest of life in this same shame as they don't have any other way out.

There are some things we need to have done before having family, to make our journey a lot easier, if I have a son I will keep advising him to think more about financial goals instead of planning to start a family, this is one of the reasons why.

I somehow agree with your point. Some may see this as a bad thing when it is actually beneficial for both men and women. You cannot just jump into something that you are not ready for. If you are a man in your early 20s and you let your desires get the best of you, and you "accidentally" start a family, you and your whole family will only suffer the consequences financially. Hence, it is better to be smart and avoid situations that will lead you there. Instead, be smart and focus on getting financial freedom first before any of that.
1829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin foundation on: July 27, 2023, 07:12:58 AM
No, that is surely not a good idea. I mean there are already a lot of conspiracy theories regarding our community that revolves around us being a cult or "the new world order", if we start doing this then we are surely just feeding those ideas. Moreover, why make things so complicated? Bitcoin is already doing a massive change in the world, why do we need to apply these changes you are stating, only to make things complicated for us.
1830  Economy / Economics / Re: Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: July 27, 2023, 06:02:20 AM
I think it's generally make the transaction more seamless and for a customer it's better. In my country the latest payment system that is pushed by a Single QR Code, so people with different payment processor, like Bank App, Venmo-like Payment and other type can scan the same QR Code to pay for a service. But the one issue that appear is that most of merchant complaint about the fee, it makes them increase the price of their product, and it's not good for them.

For Crypto this phenomena when the government pushing digital payment for people will ease the transition to crypto, transition from a traditional cash to crypto payment will be very hard, but when the merchant familiar with digital payment they will accept crypto more easily.

That is also one thing I noticed. A lot of merchants, specially small local shops, added additional fee when you use QR codes or online system to pay them. I mean it's not that bad, but it is noticeable.

And yes, as more cashless system transaction are being made and accepted I believe crypto will be accepted more and more.
1831  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some financial secrets that you know of? on: July 27, 2023, 01:40:32 AM
Hey everyone. What are some of your wealth secrets that you could share with us?
......
What are your secrets?
Secret will be always a secret, whatever it is.  there is no need to tell others if we are willing to have or keep secrets of that something.
And if we are telling here, it means that We betray our own choice to tell the secret even though we might not know each other.

The choice of keeping a secret may differ from one person to another. There are some who think that it is enough for them to know if they have just bought a fairly decent amount of Bitcoin. But there are several other people who want to tell about the purchase for several reasons. And this is not wrong, depending on the choice of each.

I understand and do agree that secrets are indeed secrets that should be kept to oneself. However, I think what OP is referring to by using the term is secret is not necessarily secrets that should not be shared but tips or advice from personal experience that we know in order to earn more. The word secret here is basically a term meaning "tips" or "personal advice".
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 26, 2023, 11:57:32 PM
A few months of preparation and rest would be enough for Inoue? Well, this is making me admire him more.

The odds will surely again be too low for Inoue and will be greater for Tapales. I guess that everyone is going to put their money on the lines for Inoue even the odds will be definitely low and not that much at all.

If Inoue has said that he's got a goal until the end of this year then we will see if he's a man of honor for his own words.

Unless Inoue suffers an injury again, I think as long as the two camps agreed, the fight will happen somewhere in November.  Besides Inoue isn't beaten in his fight against Fulton, you can see it on how clear his face is.  With the fight against Tapales, I think Inoue will also knock Tapales out.  It is more likely to happen because 2 of the 3 losses of Tapales are stoppage.  This simply clear that Tapales isn't that tough to receive Inoue's punch without any problem.

That too. We saw how destructive Inoue's right hand is. If Tapales’ previous fights were from stoppage simply because he couldn’t take more damage, it’s entirely possible that Inoue will end this fight early, too. Most bets would surely be on whether the fight will go the distance or not (someone will win by decision). If Tapales wants to win, he surely needs to work on his endurance, stamina, and strength. Score as much points as possible and look for potential openings.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 26, 2023, 11:41:27 PM
Greed is a negative emotion, hence it's results are always negative. Learn to identify and don't be carried away by it.
Please permit me to reason from the other angle of discussion. How about if a gambler is greedy and such greed leads the gambler into winnings.  Such that the more greedy he becomes, the more he wins. What do we call such a scenario or do we argue that such a scenario doesn't exist.

That's called luck and nothing else. Anyone can be lucky on a certain day and not be lucky on another. The thing is, would this luck be consistent every day, such that being greedy is more rewarding rather than destructive? I don't think so. Luck runs out, and even if you know that something is going to be in your favor, it's best not to get greedy you aren't 100% sure that the outcome won't change.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 26, 2023, 11:15:27 PM
Tapales lacks the speed, strength, and overall stamina to go against Inoue. Fulton, who held the title, had a hard time. going on against the Japanese boxer. There's just not a lot of names that you can match against Inoue who has the chance to beat him in a straight-up brawl. Most probably the odds will swing hard for Inoue, and it will not be worth betting into unless you put on a truckload of cash on the guy.

1836  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 26, 2023, 12:37:34 PM
From collecting, drawing, setting appointments, cleaning, watching, and just stating opinions can lead to a way for us to make money.
Different forms of work I can make out from this, but the pay scale is also something. If you are a skilled worker from experience with or without a degree you will get a better earning. Some people may claim that they dont need a degree but have "cheated" this system and are earning more, but to be safe dont try that. Always try to work on your skills and you will be paid off, at the same time improve your education and eventually your standard of living will improve.

Have the money making mindset but be honest about yourself not taking the dirty path. With that you can sleep soundly at night and keep earning money through bitcoin or fiat every day.

Of course the pay scale is always different depending on the workload and the skills. It is still of course better to have the proper educational background in order to land a better paying job and a more stable income. However, there is nothing wrong with small time and part time work that can at least bring some amounts of money to the table, specially when most needed.

1837  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: July 26, 2023, 11:35:07 AM
Hence why I said that a proper meal plan should be made. That includes knowing how far the food will last and how much you should be spending in a specific time span. Moreover, the meal plan will also tell you which ingredients should be replaced for a cheaper alternative and which can be completely drop. It is true that cooking everyday will be more expensive, hence I stated that one should be a responsible meal planner if they want to make their food by themselves.
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan reaffirm Web3 plans on: July 26, 2023, 11:04:43 AM
If their intent is to compete with China in the economic factor then it is a good move from Japan. Technology and the web are two sectors that heavily influences the rise of a nation and just how innovative it can get. If Japan is able to execute this properly, much like what they did with accepting Bitcoin as proper payment, then perhaps other countries that are watching Japan closely will do the same.
Japan seems to be making policies to attract more investors to the country. I read that Web3 promotes privacy and decentralization since it uses blockchain technology. In June Japan enacted a law that exempts some crypto firms from paying tax. The government believes that all these crypto-friendly policies will attract more entrepreneurs from the crypto industry which will lead to economic growth. The impact of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida''s was felt immediately with Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao announcing to move its services to the new Web3 platform. I am sure more companies will also take advantage of the new decentralized network.

Well that's certainly a smart move from them. They know that more and more entrepreneurs are emerging from the crypto currency and hence Japan wants to take that opportunity. I mean, anything for economic growth, right? If it works, it works. Hopefully, however, it will not cause much negative effects in the crypto industry. Well, it all comes down to how well Japan will be able to attend to the policies they are making/planning to make. Thanks for the info by the way.
1839  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: July 26, 2023, 09:41:24 AM
The hope is that people certainly want to live in a developed country with a large income and a country that cares about its citizens, and even though I live in a developing country with a small income I don't plan to move abroad, this is because I already feel the environment or the place Nowadays, many family and friends are important in life.

family and friends are important in life but because of limited jobs in country one will consider moving abroad. Family is important and because of this reason people prefer to move abroad to earn money and to make the life of him and his family become satisfied.

No one will be in desire to leave his family here and go to another country where there is no relative or friends but if there is no other way of satisfy one's life then going for job in other country will be better.

I agree. I mean take a lot of overseas worker as a great example. I'm sure most, if not all, of them would rather stay and spend their everyday lives with their family but due to the demands of their living and lifestyle, as well as the lack of good paying jobs in their country, they are left with no choice but to move abroad. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices in order to have a better result in life.

I understand the purpose and the good intention here. Of course it is nice to have good communication and relationship between the people of our community. However, wouldn't it be nicer to just stick with this forum? If the purpose is to share and communicate with the community, this forum already exist. Moreover, I think a lot of people will even be able to access all the tips and discussion if we stick here rather than creating a different place for such a thing as it will only serve the same purpose.
