Is there a web app for this? Or will there be one in the future? I would hate downloading another blockchain. What if I only would like to watch the videos or share the videos I have? If I am just an ordinary person on the internet a web app would be very useful just like how Steemit did with their platform. There are many people outside of the cryptosphere that is using it because the barrier for entry is low.
You don't store the blockchain on your computer. I'm pretty sure it uses an Electrum style system where you don't have to store the whole blockchain already. The install gives you all the required dependency files to run the software and wallet system. what you're talking about is exactly what this is, you click and watch. As an added benefit, anything you watch if it costs credits gets stored on your computer and when others watch it, you get paid a small bit right to your wallet for the amount of data it took from your computer. It's steem for video but without the locking of funds. You get them just like bitcoin, no waiting and more ways for people who don't want to create anything to get paid.
