Just woke up from hibernation. Can someone explain what is ark and how it is related to LISK?
ARK is an offshoot of the Global Delegate Team who were running a lot of mainnet and testnet nodes for lisk while doing a lot of other tasks on the backend of the lisk project. We are also a lot of the people who were going to create sidechain projects for Lisk. About 30 of us left and decided to start our own project called ARK. ARK doesn't do sidechains and has a very different voting mechanism. ARK has raised over 6 million lisk thus far. |

Or is it not possible   Changing the terms of TEC in such a way is bad business. We offered refund if certain conditions are not met (in this case 2000BTC minimum) changing that one sided is a breach of trust. If both side agrees that is another matter, but with 1500 participants that is not that easy to arrange. But no matter, there is always a solution, other funding method, other forms of crowsfunding. ARK is not going anywhere, and there are several possible avenues to take. Also, this TEC is still far from over, in ICOs most funds come in in the first and the last 48 hours. The Lisk community forging start next week could also shake things up in several different ways. Of course! Several ico suffer in the beginning and we have about 18 days! We actually gained over a million lisk and almost 100 bitcoin in that time. And all of it is because Bitcoin is moving up and we have not raised enough of that to balance it out yet. Hemmm.... but what happened if the price of lisk was getting stagnant without any pump. It seems like it hasn't got a lot of volatility. But the green waves was coming and hoping this will give some chance for this ico. I kinda feel a little doubt with this. when the volatility is low, that's the time you should be looking. The times when nobody else is looking. No matter how I feel about them personally, they still get most of their finances to hire developers as soon as forging starts. Which also means more money for promotions and advertisements. So lisk will have funds to start really starting in a week or so. |

Lisk is probably pretty close to its bottom, given that they have barely touched their funding. On top of that, they have benefited a lot from the BTC price increases. I still don't see more than a possible near term 25% downside in Lisk price and a strong possibility of a 10-40X upside over the next couple of years. Their biggest challenge after they have access to their funds will be finding blockchain qualified developers to accelerate their progress. Our challenge in Ark at this point will be to have enough BTC on hand to not have to touch the Lisk for a long time, if ever. Our monthly budget is $40,000 USD per month after TEC, so this is roughly equal to the forging earnings of the team member Lisk delegates if needed, though we would rather spend BTC for as long as possible before using even lisk from delegate earnings.

Why so long time to start mainnet?
it's just an estimation. We are attempting to launch much sooner than that schedule. We would rather give ourselves a bit of time at the beginning where everything is the most important. If we have the possibility to launch earlier we will make every attempt to do so. |

Everyone at Lisk are actively preparing mainnet for the last 4 months at least.... well before the birth of ARK, and anyway a good communicator like you should not unleash such bad language... Sadly this incident tarnish not only your reputation but the entire project/team you're representing.  I represent real life, no more BS from guys who wana just take your money and sit on it for years. Mainnet was supposed to be ready in April, it is now at the end of November............ Sometimes it seems there's not enough Good hearted guys that will tell the shit straight as an arrow. You might not like the words that come out of my mouth but they are never unwarranted. |

You guys are working really hard at this, I truly hope you reach your goal. It's really a shame what is happening at Lisk's end.
I was one of those who argued heavily for favoring Lisk and I still stand by my reasoning. To me when it come to this it wasn't about believing in Lisk or not, or trusting that it has the right management direction or not, or if sidechains will be the future or not. All of this was irrevelent for my views for pushing ARK to accept lisk. No, it came down to one simple fact. Lisk still has almost 14k bitcoin that they can spend on development, partnerships, sponsoring and PR. I believe that this fact alone is a deciding factor for having Lisk now, as long as one is able to hold Lisk long term as ARK wants to. Because with 14k bitcoin there is only a moderate chance that it won't come a time, probably several times when Lisk is "hot" and the Lisk price surges and then stabilizes at a much higher level than it is now. It's a matter of patiences in my opinion. Time will tell if I was mistaken. here i thought you guys had USE cases for the LSK in the future, turns out its "vega style" instead. you wanted it to dump on a pump  great... you're welcome to have your opinion but like we alwasy said, we'd use it for whatever we need. If you want to wear your tinfoil hat all day while trying to fud ARK go for it, but don't get mad if I also voice my opinion on your opinion and how utterly stupid it is. |

Over $1 million dollar,the remaining $400,000 is doable i still don't get why they collect lisk? i heard and read that ark time don't like lisk. but they accept lisk in ico. just to destroy lisk? or to be able to vote up their delegates? please explain it o me. at first I really supported lisk but as I see how Max has handled the situation, tbh I don't know why we are accepting lisk anymore. All Max seems to do is take measures to try and make our project fail so now it feels like there really is no point in it anymore. I said this from day one. Not sure why ARK tied the project with lisk at all. It only created an external point of failure, and that was quickly realized. Just my opinion. Yeah, probably you were right and was an error in judgement on our part. We figured that a person like max would be open to more collaboration but it seems he see's this as a war between clans or something. He rushed many things to counter our TEC so he threw the dice, we just hope it doesn't destroy us both. |

Ark isn't listed yet on exchanges but there are already fud lol let me just remind you for now that fudding today won't make its price dragged to the bottom yet. Do it later. Let the team gather millions, they deserve the support.
Fudding now is idiotic. The reason behind doing it while an ICO is ongoing is that certain holders (those who are prone to fudding) feel that by limited funding to a reasonable, but not super-high, amount, they'll get more coins + sort of become one of those 'overlooked coins that skyrocket later on'. But doing it now is counterproductive -- have to wait until ARK at least reaches it's min. amount to be viable (2000btc valuation, or whatever they stated). yeah, what this guy said. |
