It's a shame bots ruined it, isn't it an idea that you can only get the bonus every 5-10 minutes per IP?

1825  Economy / Services / Re: [Question] What is the general price to hire a developer? on: May 21, 2013, 07:28:08 PM
Alright, thanks! But isn't it generalising that prices differ per area of i.e west and east Europe? Or is this really true?

It is generalising, but it's also true in most cases. Just take a look at this list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage and sort it by gross income and then you'll see Ireland, UK and Germany on the opposite side of the list than Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

Ah, alright. Thanks a bunch! I'll have to do some saving, but I got a great idea so I hope the investment will be worth it! Wink.
1826  Economy / Services / Re: [Question] What is the general price to hire a developer? on: May 21, 2013, 06:36:31 PM
A great developer costs $100k/y + perks assuming he's not in SV or NY (where you need to pay more, add some equity and/or provide opportunity to work on a really exciting project and with a great team). For freelancers hired for short/mid-term projects, add 50-100%, because lot of their time is not billable and they have to account some risks in their rate. That sets you anywhere between $70 and $150 per hour. For Central/Eastern Europe based developers, slash that in half as you can find great Ukrainian or Polish programmers at $30-70 per hour if you know where to look.

I don't claim that you have to spend that much. You can find some decent developers for half of this rate (that is $30-50 in the US/Western Europe and $15-25 in Eastern Europe) and they may deliver a great and bulletproof product, but it's always a gamble as they are more likely to deliver buggy software than the top developers. And if we're talking handling bitcoin and hot wallets, you need to answer yourself if you'd like to gamble.

You can also find some Asian developers (especially from India or Philippines) working for just a fraction of these rates, but it's not even a gamble and more like a russian roulette, as 9 out of 10 extremely cheap developers will deliver complete shit. I am not discriminating here based on location, it's more about the rate. Those who have the skills and are smart enough to work for abroad clients, they know how much to charge. I worked with some brilliant Asian developers but they charged almost European rates. So I'm talking here about $5-10/h developers who may be good for installing wordpress and some plugins, but will most likely deliver shit if they need to actually write some software.

Again, I don't claim that $10/h developers can't deliver great software for you (in fact I hired once a brilliant developer at this rate, who did a great job despite some communication issues), but in this business, in 80% cases you get what you pay for. And if you don't have the skills to find one of 10% great developers among those with mid rates or one of 1% great developers among those with low rates, you either pay top rates or gamble.

Alright, thanks! But isn't it generalising that prices differ per area of i.e west and east Europe? Or is this really true?
1827  Economy / Services / [Question] What is the general price to hire a developer? on: May 21, 2013, 04:28:49 PM
Hey there!
I have a question, what is the general price to hire a developer to make a medium sized game (online, bitcoin gambling site), and secure this too? Graphics and suchs apart, just the programming it and securing it and willing to maintain for bug fixes. How much does such thing generally cost?
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: May 21, 2013, 04:25:52 PM
100% winning odds

What do you mean by that?

AFAIK, there is no random reset chance upon purchase, however it resets every six hours, so it isn't 100% winning odds at all.
1829  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 21, 2013, 02:11:06 PM
Damn, you've got luck! It's taking ages for me to roll sadly :/.

It reminds me of the old SatoshiDice, where you had to wait for like 10 seconds for every result to come in. It was pretty suspenseful haha.

But yeh no doubt that Stunna needs to sort out the lag.

"Victim of his own success" in the words of Mt.Gox Tongue

Yeah, it is suspensful. Just lost 3 times in a row, decided to all in with 0.12, had to wait like 15 seconds, and lost ._.

Yep, and here's the cashout

Bots making free accounts and doing this repeatedly until they get a win?

You'd hope so.. I'd feel sorry for someone who has the attention span to make so many acc's in order to finally get a roll like that lmao. Then again, I guess it would have paid off

1/10,000 O_o

Damn, I sometimes wish I did big ones like that, I once got 3 95-99 rolls in a row.
1832  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 21, 2013, 11:08:06 AM
so stunna, is it safe for me to do the deposit to my current address? Im afraid same thing might happen :/

Im using bitcoin wallet qt tho to make the transaction

beware about PrimeDice.com.

I lost all my hard earned coins.

PrimeDice.com did not cashout any btc to me.

Yes, you lost your hard earned 0.0001BTC free bonus given to any player. It cashes out for everyone just perfectly, including me, but somehow not you. The system must hate you. (sarcasm).
1833  Economy / Gambling / Re: Beware of PrimeDice.com on: May 21, 2013, 10:30:41 AM
I'm sick of people like this, you just have to come in here, start complaining you lost a FREE BTC, without giving any proper explanation, or contacting Stunna normally, then calling it buggy, and start making threads here to get the reputation down. People llike you annoy me, if we could all just have some fun, play the games we want in peace, that'd be great.

Zaih/ other senior members - can anyone here confirm a payout please ?

Id like to remove it from pending in the v2 list if possible, I wont get a chance to do any play testing for a few more weeks yet.

Well, I've won 0.46 BTC (Proof : https://bitmillions.com/tickets/2f389399353a423251f116f1c863e9832c8edcdd7417968f9814ff84abf89703#)

And after 9 confirmations I still have not received any payment. I was so happy when I won, I really hope it pays out.

EDIT : They stopped posting on all their social media since 30 April, and haven't been online since the 30th of April either. I seriously hope they didn't abandon it..

I haven't heard any news of them just leaving it, this sucks if it's true. If it is true, maybe you should send a email to the owner, considering you did win.

Sorry, forgot to post here, it came! It took a while but the bitcoins came, so wew. It seems to be legit.
1835  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 20, 2013, 05:16:05 PM
quick question, is there a way to use my current wallet balance (lets say, 0.1btc *lol i know..just started mining last week Tongue) to play at primedice?

Yes, you just go to "send coins" at your wallet, and send them to your deposit address.
just did the deposit at the amount of 0.001btc. Strangely why is it the deposit address keep changing? Will the update be updated soon? Because its been 30mins since and no changes on it yet  Undecided

I'm fairly sure the deposit address changes each time you log in, I'm not sure why, maybe security reasons. And what do you mean? It's been 30 minutes and you haven't received your deposit yet?
the transaction has been confirmed, and nope.. i just checked it out and still none

i wanna win big huhu

That's strange, are you sure you sent to the right deposit address? If so, I can't really help you, you should ask Stunna.

They definitely were legit, and I don't doubt they aren't anymore. Their admin is on the forum so just chuck him a PM if it doesn't come in within the next few confirmations on the deposit. Maybe their hot wallet ran out.

Ah,alright. I just read the FAQ and it said they send after every block, so that may take a while. Thanks!

Hey there!
Just quickly wondering, and if so I have a question about how it works, I tried it for the shits 'n giggles, buying a ticket for 0.01, expected to lose, but hey, got 2 matches! Won 0.47BTC and 2 free plays, but I am not receiving any BTC, does this just take a while? And second, the freeplays, how do I use these? Thanks!
