Actually, I meant that it would be complicated to condense into one line.

No worries.  I was just giving you a hard time.  Keep up the great work.

Don't forget my Loyalty Rewards Program.   Wink

Maybe I deliberately avoided it - it was complicated when I looked at it last time.  But, yes, nice loyalty rewards.

I can see how it could be complicated to a guy running a bank.   Tongue

I'll take one off your hands. I'll pay 6 btc for it but I want it shipped from you, not Nike. I'll pay when I receive it.

+1

my experience is that 0-conf deposits don't earn interest... i'm not sure what conf number the earning kicks in.

Hey I have a quick Q about starting a BCTST account.  If I opened an account today, would interest start accruing today?  Or is there some kind of enrollment period I'd have to wait for?

Interest would start accruing as soon as you put funds in.

How about requiring that bids/asks be placed within 50% of the "last" price to avoid making a mess of the orders chart?  Or maybe having the orders chart only show open orders within 50% of the "last" price...

18214  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: ~ PAYING 10% MONTHLY INTEREST ON DEPOSITS ~ on: May 11, 2012, 11:13:32 PM
It's been about a month now, and the reserve fund has been at 1% of deposits for the whole period. I know you don't want to specify a timeline for moving to a higher number, but right now these are basically uncovered loans. Is there any further news on plans to cover more than 1% of deposits in case Pirate defaults?

Deposits have been rising and I place the full deposit in my BS&T account, so it is not like I take 1% from each deposit and put it in the reserve fund.  After 1 month, from the very first deposit, I've built a 30 BTC reserve.  That amount will continue to rise and is not pegged to a %.  Now that we have a 2000+ BTC balance, that will enable the reserve fund to grow more quickly.  I will admit I have been focusing more on providing a higher base rate and interest rate loyalty rewards than building the reserve fund.
18215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] New Animated Bitcoin Video! "Screw Banks" make it viral! on: May 10, 2012, 03:09:44 AM
I liked it.  I thought it was simple enough that it might get people to take a closer look at Bitcoin.  Good Facebook material.
18216  Economy / Economics / Re: Price stickiness at $5 USD/BTC? on: May 10, 2012, 03:02:37 AM
I think enough people have now stashed money in BTC that they will step up and buy to keep the price stable when it falls below $5.  This is to protect the value of their stashed funds...  Just my $0.02.
18217  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 5970 boots in safe mode, blue screens in regular on: May 09, 2012, 05:42:26 PM
I have a 5970 that is acting up.  I've taken it apart and examined it and it looks great.  It wasn't damaged or anything like that.  It just crashed and now will only work in safe mode.  I have other cards running fine in the same rig, but I've tried switching slots, reformatting, trying different drivers and a lot of other suggestions I found on google...  Nothing.  I don't know too much about troubleshooting cards, and I had a friend take a quick look at it, who suggested changing the clock speeds (the memory was clocked very low and it was undervolted) but I have been unable to do so because I can't seem to do that in safe mode and can't get it to stay booted long enough regularly to make the adjustment.

The card is currently attached to a Danger Den waterblock and I've tried reattaching the stock cooler as well (it never got wet and there are no visible signs of burning).  I'm open to suggestions to fix it, recommendations of someone on the forum who might be willing to get it working again, and offers from someone who wants to get a cheap watercooled 5970 that could potentially be fixed with the right knowledge.

Rig is running on windows 7 and has been stable for several months.  I've tested using both 32 and 64 bit versions.  It has plenty of power.

Thanks for reading.

I mean, say someone bets 2 btc on the ice cube, and someone bets 3 btc on the greenbean. You can say what the current total BTC in the pool for each side, so they know what the stakes are.

Click the payment address and it will show you how much is bet against each.
18219  Economy / Gambling / Re: OFFICIAL MY HOUSE CAT GAMES on: May 05, 2012, 07:52:21 PM
Will the ice cube be in a tray, or will it be sitting on a floor?  Tile or carpet?  What about the beans, on a plate or on the floor?

EDIT:  Will a video be posted of this epic event?  Live stream maybe even?

EDIT #2:  By "shows interest" does the cat have to make physical contact with the item, or would a sniff be enough?

Congratulations to all depositors, as we have surpassed 2,000 BTC in deposits and the base rate has been increased to 10%!  We also got a shiny new logo courtesy of Timbo925.
