1841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding the Basics of Trading in the Cryptocurrency Market on: May 12, 2023, 10:49:39 AM
The trading strategy must contain numbers 3, 4, and 5, as the development of the strategy includes reducing fees, which also testifies to choosing the correct stock exchange and how to improve performance. The following points will not be valid.
In general, trading is a broad science and just limiting it to points will not be correct, even if the points are correct. The most important rule is to continue learning and private research. Ask and ask and do not let shyness prevent you from asking. This question and experiences are what make you a successful trader.

In addition, knowing the basics of cryptocurrency from choosing the right wallet, minimizing network fees and how to protect the security of private keys.
1842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Man Who Saw Tomorrow on: May 12, 2023, 09:43:09 AM
I do not think that this is what Satoshi meant, otherwise what happened in 2017 is a confirmation of what he said, the blocks are currently full, but most of them are spam or useless data (not peer-to-peer transactions or real use of bitcoin)
What Satoshi meant was a very large transaction volume in the sense that more and more people would use Bitcoin and thus a currency for international trade or a dead currency.

In general, 6 years remain for the statement to be finally verified, and perhaps the 20-year period is the period of maturity of technology, just as it happened with the Internet.
1843  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Security risk notice: Google Authenticator's cloud sync feature on: May 12, 2023, 08:44:34 AM
An excellent warning from OKX, although I see a disclaimer of responsibility if Google Authenticator is misused by Google to access user accounts or attempt to collect data about them. If you use trading platforms periodically or in large amounts, it is better to take this warning seriously.

Google has a bad record in dealing with user data and preserving their privacy, and therefore it is better not to think that you are safe by using one of their cloud services.

Thanks for a list of suggestions, I will give -------> https://getaegis.app/ a try.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: As an Economist how do you tackle inflation? on: May 12, 2023, 08:25:20 AM
The first thing I will think about is searching for the reasons for the rise of the commodity. Some commodities rise for reasons that cannot be avoided, such as the occurrence of a disaster or floods, poor storage, the failure of the agricultural season and other factors that affect the final product of the commodity, which can be avoided with a little patience.

There are economic reasons, and those reasons can be solved or reduce their impact without the need to wait, such as low purchasing power, taxes, some logistical obstacles, which you can solve by preserving the purchasing power of your currency, either by converting it into dollars or gold, or searching for another state with cheaper prices, or transferring products personally.

Generally, there is no single, perfect solution and you have to research on your own.
1845  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VPN Service Provider. BTC / USDT Accepted on: May 12, 2023, 08:04:19 AM
The design was made with the help of Elementor, a website builder for WordPress.
Thanks for pointing that out, now this project has got a reverse promotion, if you can't manage a front-end, it's unlikely that you've managed customer privacy well, especially since one mistake or leaking of one of the sessions means a complete collapse of an individual's privacy.

Cheap price is not the deciding factor, especially in privacy applications. You should focus on the technical development and security team to make users feel that the promises you make can be fulfilled.
1846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner in the forum significantly grow? on: May 11, 2023, 02:47:02 PM
Personally, I recommend that you watch Andreas's[1] YouTube videos and read Mastering Bitcoin[2], it will give you a lot of useful information that is the basis for self-learning, with it all you need to know is to search Wikipedia for that information and then ask here[3][4][5] if you did not get useful information or wanted to discuss a topic that needs more details.

1847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum wallet software. Why you should use it, not exchange accounts on: May 11, 2023, 02:31:50 PM
They are Enabled by default and the newest version does not allow you to Disable it. It gives Newbies better Default, they will not have stuck transactions in mempools and can not do anything to bump fee.
Many users may not like these changes and therefore they will try to avoid updating as much as possible, and the reason for this is that some deposits (especially for gambling services) give you the possibility of instant deposits with zero confirmations as long as the transaction does not contain RBF enable.

Generally, we should stop thinking about accepting zero-confirmation transactions in the future. However, many platforms rarely update their code regularly.
1848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Use self custody wallets, don't use exchange wallets. Check mempools these days. on: May 11, 2023, 01:18:08 PM
If we take the fees as a criterion, then Binance is the worst, but it is not a reference to judge that the fees are bad compared to the wallets, and the reason for that is that the withdrawal transaction contains one input and several outputs, and therefore the fees that you pay for each address are much cheaper than the fees that are paid to one address.

In other words, the withdrawal fees from some CEXs may be much lower than your self custody wallet fees.

Despite this fact, many CEXs charge high withdrawal fees (compared to what they pay) to achieve more profits.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Binance Innovation Zone on: May 11, 2023, 01:04:59 PM
The name seems radiant, but the meaning is far from intended. Ideally, it is a second chance for those projects before they are removed, but I see that it is a pressure tool from Binance for these projects. They also indicated that there is no founder, and therefore the opportunity for Binance to make a profit from that platform will be less, and therefore delisting them is better than moving keeping it.

Personally, I see that Binance is trying to be a central cryptocurrency and milk these projects to achieve maximum profit.
1850  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 11, 2023, 12:52:30 PM
This is still a transaction made from electrum using the twt seed in order to empty the wallet. Funds are still funds.
Will never use trust wallet after this and make several new electrum wallets. Hoping i get this sorted out first tho.
Glad that your problem has been resolved, and sorry Trust Wallet makes things look easy for beginners, but as soon as any problems occur, the headaches are violent.

Seed associated with that wallet contain serval cryptos other than Bitcoin, so if you have a balance other than Bitcoin, it may be best to check  before you decide to new wallet. It is also better to use a newly generated wallet in the future instead of the seeds that you got from the Electrum wallet.
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: Interest Rate, Inflation, Debt vs Bitcoin in US on: May 11, 2023, 12:26:46 PM
Frankly, I did not understand the point you are trying to reach and its relationship to El Salvador, but it can be said that bitcoin is suitable as a currency for cheap payments between countries, countries that need to resort to the complexities of banking systems, and it is a good long-term investment that enables the individual to save the value of his money and multiply it, and it is not a parallel economy that the state can rely on instead of the system The current financial system based on petrodollars.

Therefore, if a country decides to adopt Bitcoin, it will not help it solve its economic crisis, but it will help individuals transfer money to their relatives around the world and improve their economic situation if the inflation crisis is the only economic crisis they have.
1852  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: VPN Service Provider. BTC / USDT Accepted on: May 11, 2023, 11:58:36 AM
I think that the design of the site needs some work, which will give a bad impression about the service you are trying to provide.

It is true that the price of 2 dollars per month is appropriate and attractive, but the industry is based on privacy. If privacy is not perfect, then the amount of 2 dollars will be great.

You do not have a legal page or a terms of service page, and therefore promises such as No logging seem non-binding to you.

Servers all over the world? according to your website you have servers spread across only 6 countries, even their location on the map is inaccurate.
1853  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Netexbit.com is a licensed exchange office on: May 11, 2023, 11:28:15 AM
Depositors will take two minutes to know that the platform is an incomplete template, and here the fears will increase that there may be many side doors that may lead to losing their money or giving them bad trading prices, so no one will deposit their money.
Try to rebuild the site professionally, redesign the interfaces to look like a single platform and not a collection of ideas and codes that were collected from the Internet.

Also, I do not think that you have sufficient liquidity to cover customer requests, and therefore the platform will run APIs in the backend, which is linked to other CEXs (more fees.)
1854  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance announced LN integration on: May 11, 2023, 11:21:40 AM
But it will be good if they integrate lighting network, at least they should really do something beneficial since 2017. But fees are going down right now and they just increased the withdrawal fee instead of having a flexible one, they are milking cash but they pretend they are learning from mistakes.
The only thing that will force them to reduce withdrawal fees or adopt any solutions such as the Lightning Network is competition, the lack of which means that they will not change the current situation, as it brings them a lot of profits.

It is also an ideal promotion for BSC and its support. The beginner will not realize the difference between Bitcoin and tokens that they give them, the same price and cheaper fees, and therefore the higher the withdrawal fees for Bitcoin, this means more profits because people move to their SC with lower fees.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with all guy who loss money to stock market on: May 10, 2023, 11:18:36 AM
The stock market is one of the ways in which you invest your surplus money and without dividing those investments, you will inevitably lose your money at one point or another. Therefore, whatever the stockbroker promises, you must diversify your investments in sectors that are not affected by each other or adversely affected, such as Gold/USD pair or USD/Real estate pair, and therefore not Your investment portfolio must contain Gold, USD, foreign currencies, Real estate, Stocks and any intermediary investments.

If you are in the prime of life, stay away from the advice of the broker and invest in technology companies, companies that reduce the number of employees, and that provide services that society needs in the short and medium term.

But if you are old, invest in the shares of large companies that have more than 20 years in the market. These companies have lived after many shocks and mastered how they will stand in the future.

Of course, the return is different between both types of stocks.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: convert cardano (ADA) into Tether (USD T) on: May 10, 2023, 10:22:26 AM
I don't know if you can use this method to convert Tether to USDT, but it's not
recommended. You can use a coinbase wallet, which is a good alternative.
What are you trying to say here? The "wallet" is not supposed to exchange between cryptocurrencies without the need for a third party, and therefore you do the transfer using the interface of that wallet and third party (CEXs or DEXs) works in the background.

So coinbase wallet can not convert cardano (ADA) into Tether (USD T) but coinbase exchange can.
1857  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yet another bitcointalk account seller on: May 10, 2023, 10:08:41 AM
There are several hypotheses for the low price such as:

 - These accounts are hacked.
 - These are old accounts with zero merits.
 - These accounts contain a red flag or negative trust.
 - These accounts are spammmmy and fail to join any campaign.

With all these assumptions, the possibility that these accounts were created by the user and enables you to make any profits from it is small and therefore there is no economic benefit from purchasing them.
1858  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: static or mempool for withdrawal on: May 10, 2023, 09:58:52 AM
ive never done a mempool transfer.
Unfortunately, the fees are currently a bit high, so if you are not in a hurry, waiting for several days may reduce the fees a lot.
Go to this site ---> https://mempool.space/ when the fees are in the 5 sat/vB to 50 sat/vB then they will be low on average.

if someone was trying to move $200 worth of BTC 0.005 at the moment which would they choose?

We cannot give you an exact answer unless we know more information such as number of inputs, number of inpouts and the type of addresses in the transaction you want to create.

I do not know if you will understand what I said, but for a better explanation, I advise you to watch some videos[1] [2] [3] from aantonop YouTube channel.

1859  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Suggestion] LN Adoption Starts Here on: May 10, 2023, 09:27:28 AM
There are plenty signature campaigns which pay via btc. Btc fees are high atm, even when they were low it would take ~1 USD for each individual transfer, why not then just adopt LN?
This is not necessarily true. If a transaction that contains one input and several outputs (which is the case in most Bitcoin transactions) and many of those outputs are bc1 addresses, then the cost of the transaction will be much less than $1 for each individual transfer.
On average, these campaigns pay between $3 to $20, which is much less than the amounts you pay to users.

As for the Lightning Network, transactions here are not done on a daily or hourly basis, but rather one transaction per week, and many people send that transaction to a CEXs or put the address of that platform as a deposit address.
1860  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance announced LN integration on: May 10, 2023, 09:18:19 AM
This step is nothing more than a media one, as the Lightning Network has existed for several years, and if they were working on developing it, it would be ready now.
Binance makes good profits from withdrawal fees and will not sacrifice those profits in order to attract customers, as customers will use that platform even if the withdrawal fees are high.

Binance also benefits indirectly, as any increase in fees means that some users will switch to alternative blockchains, which BSC will be one of the most important options.

In short, any solution that makes Bitcoin fees low is not in favor of Binance and will not support it and therefore will not support Lightning Network.
