still waiting to know the odds....

Hi farfiman,

I will speak with amazingrando this morning and see if we agree on releasing the odds. Until then, we have now had 61 orders. The only product not purchased in the 30 tickets @ a 15% discount.

TTBit also said earlier in the thread he purchased a whopping 90 tickets!  Shocked

Good luck.

Where those rigs the ones that won you the votes?

Btw gigavps, where did you get those frames? They look custom made?

They are all made by hand at a custom sign shop. It was a lot of work.

What hardware is providing those massive 50Gh mining power?

Here's what my setup looks like.

So it's a little hard to get a shot of the entire room because it is so small. The room most of the GPUs are in along with the singles is just 9x16 to make the most of the three tons of AC.

Here is a shot through the side door looking that the rack farthest away in the previous picture. You'll notice that the bottom rack is empty. This will be the home of the 4 mini rigs. If they are too big to fit on the rack, I will remove it and they will sit on the floor.

Here is a pic from outside of the room but still inside the warehouse. You can see the HVAC ducts to push all cooling into the room.

Since I only have three tons of AC at the moment, some rigs are still in the warehouse portion. With cgminer, they self regulate to 75c.

Thanks to everyone who has played so far!

There have been 55 orders total and nobody has bought the 30 tickets @ 15% discount yet.  Smiley

We are beyond the halfway point. What are you going to do with ~230 BTC?

In case you guys were wondering what this type of hashing power looks like....

Besides the power bill how much do you pay to rent out the space in the warehouse?

More than I want.

* looks around to see if the BFL mini rigs have arrived.....

Wow, what a beautiful setup. Does your electric utility provider send you love letters written in lipstick?

LOL!

They don't even send me my bill anymore. I have to look it up online.  Wink

No way you ordered 15x $15,000 mini rigs. I don't believe it.

Would this also not work well on p2pmining.com ?

It should if their server can handle the load. Last time I checked, they were at 10Gh. So we would take them to 6x their normal volume.
1856  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: April 23, 2012, 04:27:35 PM
I do contract programming for small/medium businesses. Mostly very specialized, boring stuff.

Lodcrappo has made my life EASY in regards to my mining farm and continues to do so. BAMT is the BEST product to date to get you up and mining in minutes.

If you haven't donated to lodcrappo and are using his tools, you're too greedy and need to get into something else.

Question:
How would this work with p2pool?

Hi VoluntaryMan,

We could point the hashing power to a p2pool node but our miners are not optimized with the proper settings for p2pool. I was also going to use my BFL singles rig to run the contract and they do not work well with p2pool.

My recommendation would be to run the contract on a large pool (deepbit or slush) if you are feeling lucky or abcpool.co if you want to get close to the PPS payout.

GPUMAX is not selling many shares lately so these are the best strategies IMHO.

Best,
gigavps

I just bought one.

Awesome Trader Joe.  Cheesy

Good luck to everyone who's purchased a ticket so far. What pool are you going to point the 50Gh at if you win?
1859  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [RAFFLE] 50Gh 1 week mining contract worth ~230 BTC - 4 days left! on: April 23, 2012, 10:25:57 AM
4 days 9 hours left.

What do you think is the best pool to point 50Gh at for a week?
1860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Win a 50Gh 1 week mining contract worth ~230 BTC - 5 days left! on: April 23, 2012, 10:23:59 AM
Very cool idea.

Thanks trader joe!

Looks like there are 4 days 9 hours remaining to get your tickets.
