1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chance that XRP can defeat BTC? on: January 16, 2019, 12:34:38 PM
XRP is obviously enjoying the institutional support, which is one of the demands in cryptocurrency for higher adoption and efficient  blockchain use. Bitcoin is also enjoying a strong governing system which might be anonymous but the most effective. Lets not forget the dominance level of bitcoin in the space. I dont see it beatable with mere opening of thread. It is time every project faces its roadmap and stop trying to dethrone bitcoin, it will be a time wasting distraction
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponed ICO after bounty campaign on: January 16, 2019, 06:43:35 AM
Add raincheck to your list. Another challenging thing is, some already existed but want to get on blockchain. They should have a better valuation for their products and should ask a smaller fund that can be raised in a short time but they still demand for funds that are over the roof. sometimes I think these project are all just exploiting the space to get rich. They dont necessarily need ICO, they should rather do IEO and see how much people can buy
1843  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 16, 2019, 06:35:13 AM
The list of hacked exchanges are just getting larger. That is the downfall of the strictly centralized exchanges. In 2018, hackers managed to syphon out around 731 million usd from exchanges and cryptopia is the first one in 2019. I am sure, this is not the end and the list will grow even larger in 2019.

Can decentralized exchanges be the solution to prevent such hacks? Since centralized exchanges keep their money into a centralized location, it's lucrative for the hackers. But in decentralized exchanges, handling of money is controlled by the users and not kept in a centralized location. What do you guys think? Should we pay more attention to decentralized exchanges going forward?
The challenge is the size of coins decentralized exchanges are willing to add from other blockchain platforms. If I can also remember etherdelta(decentralized exchange) was also hacked in 2017.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have to invest in bitcoin or ethereum. on: January 15, 2019, 09:49:42 AM
I see that BTC and ETH are two coins that have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap.
XRP is giving ethereum the fight for the 2nd position. It will take more than what they have been doing lately to keep them up in the 2nd. Thank God they have stopped competing with bitcoin, Just undefeatable bitcoin. Investing in the first 3 is safer and that they have proved for some years of consistence
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The End All Coin on: January 15, 2019, 09:44:09 AM
It is difficult to say what the space will get to be satisfied. Some project tried a higher level of anonymity, coin stability etc. The decentralized factor of the space still need time to get across to everyone. IMO for a decentralized entity that has gotten this size of adoption in 21 century within 10 year it has achieved a level of success that give hope for the future. The only thing bitcoin needs is a level of acceptability through ETF which may have long term effect on the coin.
1846  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-15] Breaking: Cryptopia hacked! on: January 15, 2019, 09:21:11 AM
Thankfully I didn't mainly trade on Cryptopia as I only discovered it while trying to sell an altcoin worth a few dollars at best.

But still, a wake up call for the rest to keep as much of their funds off exchanges as possible.

True, I always put my stuff in my own wallets. But if you unlucky, while doing a trade ....
It is easier to keep token on ethereum platform and bitcoin to wallet compare with the tokens from stellar, neo etc. Thank God am not a victim but people will still be victims cause we cant just but put some coin on wallet for trades.
1847  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-07] Chinese Analysts: Bitcoin Bear Market - 2019 on: January 14, 2019, 10:26:24 AM
To me it's more easier to believe in such news than in optimistic ones. Time showed that the second time do not come true in the case of bitcoin. By such temps we may see 1k$ price and even lower this year. I believe only next halwing will be able to change the situation.
Most likely, that will be so. I am more inclined to trust Chinese analysts than others. However, at the same time, I don’t think that Bitcoin will still drop significantly in price, especially up to $ 1,000. Most likely, the price will float, perhaps even with a slight rise

Why are you more inclined to trust them than other "analysts"?

And no, I'm not kidding, I want to know your answer. And while you are thinking this over, let me make a guess. Do you trust them because their lies are more elaborate and thus looking more like truth? As they say, half truths are worse that outright lies. I suspect the same approach is applicable to these so-called "analysts". if anything, it the lie you believe that is going to make you cry, not the one which you don't. So beware of Chinese analysts and their stories
That is why it is difficult for me to trust this analyst. This is the first negative prediction have read in the last one month, more or less of 1% negative prediction have read. It is nothing to consider for now.
1848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would u open a loan to buy the dip? on: January 14, 2019, 10:21:16 AM
Though it is advised not to trade what you cant afford to lose but every of the trade is still a risk. loan can still be within a margin of risk u can afford. I wont advise to keep getting loan to buy as it gets dipper, Split the fund into the possible dip u can imagine and be ready to wait as long as possible and if you didnt get to buy you return the money. Place your order till $1500 though I found it to highly impossible now. more of the order should be within $2500 -$3500, these are margin of possibilities for the dip IMO.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✅FST Network🆒 Building a user and developer friendly Blockchain ecosystem on: January 14, 2019, 08:45:50 AM
for most projects now,it is to raise enough fund to start their projects. THey should not rely only on social media campaign, It has its place for IEO and public sale, It is now beyond conference pitches. Those who understand the game now goes to big institution for supports. Fewer angel investors are seen now, it does not bring trust like it used to seeing a lot of scam trend even from so called angel investors. I just hope FST does the needful and be successful
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt is a new hope? on: January 13, 2019, 02:31:11 PM
Bakkt is meant to increase the adoption rate and boost confidence of institutional investors to increase fund in the space. Bakkt is a platform for more crypto-fiat exchange or conversion, it will create an avenue for new investor both big and small. Bakkt already has enough institutional support on difference phase and high level.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinGecko.com - 360 Degree Cryptocurrency Valuation and Ranking on: January 13, 2019, 01:44:19 PM
I read the Q3 of 2018 review for coingecko exchange, but too busy to access the last quarter if it ever came out. Can I get access the last coin exchange review please?
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People provoke the growth of Ethereum ? on: January 12, 2019, 08:40:31 PM
Ethereum has got a lot of supporters which am definitely one of the because most of my portfolio has got to do with ethereum and I guess is applicable to many also.
What are the supporters doing to improve the value? I understand that it might be difficult to neglect the coin after much expectations to at least pick a good price when bitcoin was dumping but rather had higher dump. It is still indispensable for most ICOs and we will see more ethereum platform ICOs this year.
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The dump has started for 2019 on: January 12, 2019, 08:18:20 PM
Contrary to most beliefs I expected a dump at the early part of the year (January) to the 4th month before we see fair pumps and profit for traders. Am not surprised because it has been the trend for few years. It is still above $3000 and does not call for any form of concerns, it will be side ways with insignificant dumps for a while.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After 2018 slump, Will bounties Die now ? on: January 12, 2019, 08:06:35 PM
The main subject of argument in the OP message is if bounty was that rewarding not actually dying. Most reward at the later part of the year was not released for ICO who could even make the hardcap for the fear of dump. The percentage of coin who made profit on getting listed is not up to 5%. Watching the bounty section shows the bounties are increasing and there are more indication of success since we have more reasonable valuation for fund requested and investors are more confident.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BULL RUN 2019 on: January 10, 2019, 08:18:38 PM
Irrespective of the time of prospective bull run, investors will still need to prepare for it. Old crypto investors are only buying bitcoin now, although they are using the profits from last bullrun to buy back. Then they will move into ICOs and altcoin when the market is getting healthier to multiply their bitcoin, the amount invested is always a smaller fraction of their portofolio while managing the risk.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] 🔥 WPP ENERGY - BACKED ASSET GREEN ENERGY TOKEN 🔥 on: January 10, 2019, 08:01:48 PM
All this activity posts are waste of time here, the spreadsheet had already been finalized. You might have to contact the bounty admin to update it or probably send the activity links to him on telegram, which I even doubt he might respond to.
1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the most stable altcoin? on: January 10, 2019, 07:47:34 PM
The new order is more stable coin with good amount of fund in the bank to back it. It is believed to give investors confidence to flip their portfolio for all season of financial swings. Stable coin are very useful to keep value through bear market but never good in bull market.  Keeping stable coin for other projects that are not crytorelated, is not advisable to hold at any time but rather purchase when needed.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: next trend in blockchain/crypto?? on: January 09, 2019, 11:12:54 PM
For ICO or STOs more of the crowfund will be IEO in subsequent months, the crowd will feature better project valuation compare to previous years for start up.
1859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it okay to trade on telegram? on: January 09, 2019, 01:13:16 PM
The question will be why trade on telegram when there are exchanges? most of those offer might look good but why would anyone want lose there fund to u when they can also get better offer on exchanges, there is no reason for that. I trust nobody on telegram, except you want to make your a victim of serial scam.
1860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: January 09, 2019, 01:05:52 PM
I think 2 year is a long period not to have gotten it. It is possible to have a lot of losses in the bear market what of the 2017 bull market. Maybe u should take time off and learn. Then try again with considerable low fund for couple of months without taking profits to measure your progress. You can also learn more on ICO investments for some couple of months to work with while day-trading to improve your chances.
