1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It has been 365 days for me!! on: March 25, 2020, 06:24:24 PM
You are one of the luckiest in the world to get on the space at this time. Anyone joining after the bear market bottom can only see the bull market parabolic but will need to learn how to get the best from the bull market. Most people made this mistake in their first bull and had to regret it in the next cycle. Position yourself very well in this market and get reliable mentors with experience of 2 cycle to help you through. The more the risk here the more the gain.
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: March 24, 2020, 10:15:51 PM
My earned coin was sold in bullrun now only have fresh coin. But this fresh coin I didn't buy from ICO, IEO or exchange. I earned those token from bounty hunting. From earned the best coin was TEMTUM but I didn't get paid  for late KYC that's very weird case.
The bounty group for the project had not been outrightly close,  so we dont know if they might pay sometimes. The only concern will be the team's ability to request for KYC again at their own cost. It will forever remain challenging with the regular FUD faced by bounty hunters both in this and outside. In few weeks the team should be paying other participants that requested payment in 6 months then we see some activities in the bounty group again.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoters still have a place on crypto world on: March 24, 2020, 09:44:25 AM
Most IEOs on big exchanges dont believe they need need bounty because the fame, they beleive they are big enough to sell off any project even at a reduced price. THough at some in past year we saw some binance IEOs run bounty campaign but halted when they got this approval. I guess its against binance protocol of raising fund, actually it got bounty hunters a better reward. Every idea in a bear market sometimes look unproductive because of the sentiment among investors but could turn out good in the bull market. The recent idea of staggered bounty reward distribution is also to generate a steady volume trade that could look attractive to investors but it has not been the case even with the low reward allocated for bounty.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is altcoin season??? on: March 23, 2020, 12:56:57 PM
I don't think the altcoin season is coming right now. it might come after halving arrives, it's just that we don't know the right time, especially when there is still a virus outbreak spreading. however, current conditions are very difficult to predict. Well, it's hard to predict the altcoin season when bitcoin prices still go down like this.
- Indeed, the altcoin season is probably very far from us because in an environment where the economy is facing many difficulties, the capital poured into altcoin has become very low, expecting an atlcoin season is probably unrealistic compared to baseline conditions. And combined with the difficulty of the economy, Bitcoin seems to be starting a familiar scenario when good news like Halving comes out, instead of rampant growth, it will be a drastic price adjustment, haven't seen rays of hope to change this reality
I will still blame the current fear to the pandemic. It was a good sign to see ethereum pump in bitcoin value which is expected to flow to other reliable coin in the coming month, maybe the second half of the year but it is more difficult to predict altcoin season now. ATM ethereum is gradually losing all the bitcoin value he gain in the beginning of the year and if it persist for no reliable reason it will flow in altcoins. Lots of speculation in the space and we can only follow the market cause we have this unprecedented factor in the market that makes market prediction more difficult.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: March 23, 2020, 12:43:17 PM
It is a simple yet not easy question to answer: why does bitcoin have value?

The answer, we believe is summarized in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv2-6KDlZSE

Bitcoin has value because it has both scarcity and utility. It is a limited and useful resource. It is important to note that something must be BOTH in order to command a market value, NOT either.
It doesn't sound right to me anyway. Bitcoin has value because people put it in it because people trade it at certain prices. I don't think it has an inherent value, perhaps just a bit of it that comes from what's needed to generate BTC (electricity, equipment, maintenance), but that's not how we measure the value of money these days anyway. You're talking about scarcity I'm sure there are many scarce things on the planet nobody cares about. As for utility, it's kind of dubious because you can't really do anything with Bitcoin apart from generating it and making transactions... I mean, in terms of utility something like animal skin which used to be money about a thousand years ago had way more utility. But in terms of being money Bitcoin is kind of useful, I agree with that.
I think you might need to look at it as a currency. Dollar gain value, has utility and very scarce, which is an essential feature of money as legal tender. You might need to help yourself with this simple term to stop expecting and comparing the utility of animal skin to money. Animal skin can be consumed with no other form of exchange. Except for destruction of money it will continue to exchange for anything, this is the utility we are talking about, that is the main purpose of money. Money is scarce and not available to everyone that why some are poor and some are rich. Only a rich man can understand this concept and that why they are good managers of money, poor dont know money is scarce they just suffer from it. Dont get this complicated please
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: March 22, 2020, 10:31:48 AM
Yeah, you are right. Bitcoin does have value because it is scarce and has utility. But, you forgot the main thing. Demand. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies have demand for which they also have a value. As long as there is a demand for bitcoin, there will be a price. With the demand rising the price also starts to rise. But, as the demand falls and goes to zero, the price will also eventually fall and then become valueless even though if it is scarce and has utility. Look at those coins that have failed. They now worth almost nothing since they don't have any demand.
The scarcity is base on demand, if there are no demand it cant be qualified scarce. I also think it is a global means of exchange with the internet, which provide a wide variety of traders and investors. The value is also in the portability and volatility. The scarcity and utility helps the volatility, volatility of bitcoin is so attractive to increase and keep millions traders
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is altcoin season??? on: March 22, 2020, 10:06:08 AM
Altcoins price movement depends on bitcoin especially when the whole altcoin market is concerned. I also think interest in more profitable coin will depend on the size of exchanges listed, number of exchanges and size of marketcap of the project, these are more attractive factors to the pump of altcoins especially in bitcoin value. We need to know that some more altcoin will die and need to exit such project before we turn victims.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 21, 2020, 04:49:20 PM
It has been almost a month since the Supreme Court made the judgement regarding the legality of cryptocurrencies. But here I am yet to witness any change in the ground situation. People are still afraid to use cryptocurrencies for payments, or invest in them. It may be legal now, but a lot many of the users are still confused about the tax implications and other complexities.
The sentiment in the market does not show the confidence we expect and presence world economic sphere has displaced every price projection. Even with revoke of ban, market sentiment will help better adoption. it is a better time for ban removal and fund from that side could give the idea of the height of the bull market. We are getting better position in the market, we need the virus to be controlled, price pick up to cover the 200 week and halving in May.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto theft on: March 21, 2020, 09:20:23 AM
Such impressing to have the coin been recovered, maybe because no transaction was involved, probably on ground theft of an hardwallet from an outsider. I still believe most of the claim of inside job by exchange for the theft is true. It could be difficult to make some information available to every worker in an exchange institution, and any crisis in space prompt most of the worker to steal and run away while they protect the identity until they recover it.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: March 20, 2020, 10:56:08 PM
I have made many mistake of choice with bounty in 1-2 years but that does not mean at every time their was no reliable bounty on ground. Every time I thought there is no reliable project I got disappointed when the project get listed on big exchange and thrives. I cant mention several projects in this space with bounty in past 1-2 years that did this. I think we have not done enough with our research and all those listed website had not done as much as the bitcointalk forum in bounty projects.
1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are going to moon according to Willy Woo (analyst) on: March 20, 2020, 09:16:39 PM
I follow willywoo like I do with many bitcoin maximalist and I can say he is not rated in prediction for decision making like its put here. What history does he have in predicting bitcoin price? Any prediction can be reliable in couple of weeks when the virus looks to give an headway on control of spread and available vaccine but for now, the panic is only being control to prevent unnecessary actions by citizens.
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only way to identify the BOTTOM. on: March 19, 2020, 09:56:20 PM

We call numbers the bottom base on our thoughts but identifying it depending on TA or any other strategies varies to the traders opinion.

Only using TA is one of the most ineffective trading strategies for bitcoin. The market is heavily manipulated by a small group of large controlling interests.

By knowing the fundamental numbers, you know the prices that the large controlling interests purchase each coin. So when they make a manipulative action, you can know if it is a corrective action or a false action based upon the price they spend per coin.

It is a clear financial analysis. It is designed to protect against false market actions, even if they last for months.
There are exception to the present market that is global attack on financial system, such pandemic come rarely. I also like to know how to measure this with the period of time. I also think in a bear market after a bull run, we could see series of the bottom which dives in dipper bottom. The bottom is expected to go till we see 95% and could be in a year
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 19, 2020, 06:45:20 PM
Definitely it should affect the price positively but not with immediate effect. This will need to build system to purchasing cryptocurrency, keep it/store safely, build project around it that can proffer solutions to immediate problems in the country. They need to build trust and educate big population on relevant cryptocurrency transactions and storage. Bank response will also be very useful in the adoption but after this imagine the targeted millions in the country
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are having rough days, are you still a HODL? on: March 19, 2020, 12:30:02 PM
The coin seems to be bouncing back but there are still a lot of bad prediction of price dump. I think the isolated bitcoin traders cant have the lifestyle they want and the government understand that, govt is trying to provide basic necessities, to the extent of financial assistance in some cases. The initial state could cause have caused an offset but government new development should reduce the tension. Not everyone owns bitcoin, are those who dont have meant to die? The price is meant to come back if we put our self under control and not emotional
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Banned Crypto Trading on: March 18, 2020, 09:24:22 PM
I'm not surprised at all, I've been calling Russia to be against crypto since 2017. You just have to read between the lines, their statements are always contradictory. One day you will hear some government officials saying that they're going pro-crypto, and then the next days, another one will issue his statement against it. That's why I have been saying to take everything with a bag of salt any news releases coming from them as if they are going to adopt it.

@coupable - it's not that they are not aware of it, it's that they want to control everything, they don't want large exodus of capital or assets.
With the understanding of how Russia handle information on international view on power and finance, I find it hard to believe they can publicly and intentionally go against crypto. Besides I even make more friends from Russia on crypto than in past 2 years, which could indicate the increase in crypo adoption within such country. Everyone wants to share in the trillion dollar space in the coming years.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 18, 2020, 09:06:01 PM
Was the OP sent to cause FUD? He needs to know that the space and traders are now grown. This is no more a few thousand economy and not few thousand traders. The price dump is just a shaking not an uproot. Over 100 billion dollar space is not easy to remove like that. We trade with our head not our emotion and thats all it takes to be part of the 1% millionaires in the world. We not just sure of what the ATH might be in the next rally cause it will surely come soon
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investment vs. Swing trading vs. Daily trading on: March 17, 2020, 06:23:45 PM
Contrary to popular belief investors here can do a little trading in terms of shorting the asset in order for them to buy it at a lower price. Most people here think that investing crypto is always about "Hodling" through methods such as Dollar Cost Averaging and buying near supports for them to get some margin of safety but the thing is in order for an investor to really maximize the capital they have in all of those years what they need to do is of course to short their own asset in order to buy it at a much cheaper price and at the same time make some money in return. In a very volatile market like what we have we cannot really stick to one strategy anymore as we always need to adjust in order to take advantage of all the opportunity we have.
Hodling is arguably the most profitable strategy and distracting for new investors but in the market cycle all the strategies have their position. If you miss taking profit in the bull market and got to the bottom you keep hodling. At a time in the market when we start making good bitcoin gain we move to flipping project to keep acquiring bitcoin towards the height of bitcoin bullrun. At that stage u are position in different top coin project to pull out at the peak of price..
1178  Other / Meta / Re: The quality of this forum has gone down significantly on: March 17, 2020, 05:55:58 PM
Whats your suggestion to improve the quality of the space? I want to understand you have been here before the last bullrun and your were active as then, you solve several problems as well. what do qualify a spam thread? There are fewer problems solve with threads in the forum unlike before, we need to make the space more attractive to real blockchain developers, investors and traders.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are your safe haven now? on: March 17, 2020, 02:38:37 PM
Stable coin is the emergency coin for some traders but no one knows how long it will go but for long term investors and traders, they still stay with their bitcoin and ethereum, could even buy more.It is just the wealth transfer process in the space, unfortunately such an uncontrollable circumstance caused it. I sense the dump could pump the price more this year if the pandemic is arrested early in the year. I will buy bitcoin and ethereum in any market condition
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden is bullish, BTFD on: March 16, 2020, 09:57:53 AM
Snowden had been a long term bitcoin maximalist but I dont know how rich he is in term of bitcoin or even fiat. A lot of people were surprised at the dump, not what most people are expecting, the fear in the space rose and there was low volume purchase even with dump. usually people prepare to buy in bear market but the sentiment is already in bull, so the decision and financial capacity to buy is not prepared. Some believe in going after altcoin after a short bull in the halving but the shock is still with a lot of people, are struggling with next decision.
