Welp, my intestinal fortitude is insufficient to set up a running ecoinpool, even after an entire weekend blown on trying to make it work. I just realized (again) how much I loathe tracking down and compiling dependencies for linux programs, and then attempting to learn how to use a complex script-based language/config syntax for debugging. Ah well, if it were easy everyone would do it and that wouldn't be too good either.

If compiling linux libraries isn't your thing, maybe poolserverj would be a bit easier to setup.

Oh come on giga, don't spoil the fun with all that serious talk.

Sorry to get all serious.  Wink

Please continue the circus.

So you've decided that you can't scam people with a root kit so now you are going to try and raise funds and run?

Interesting business concepts. Seems like you are on a roll.

If I am wrong them I am sure you will verify you glbse.com account.

I am still sticking with my original assessment. I also find it quite humorous that you call yourself a programmer of a mining software "booster" but do not understand the most basic concepts of doing day-to-day software development.

Good luck with your scamming. I'm still waiting to be proved wrong.
1865  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 22, 2012, 10:24:57 PM
Good luck with that. (Nevermind me, just wanted to get the first post in right after pirate's last.)

Hi MPOE-PR,

Once again you prove that you add no value to the conversation. On top of that, you lessen your own value by attacking others. I hope that you take the following advice to heart.

Think twice before you post something.

This simple piece of information may actually help you become a better participant on these forums. Only time will tell if you are able to learn and grow.

Best,
gigavps

Edit: I don't always follow this rule myself. We all have our flaws.

Channel topic changed to "Possibly back up and running?" and shares are being passed through to my offline pool.

Thanks to zux0r and pirateat40 for working so hard (all night) to get gpumax back in fighting shape!

If anyone has doubts about these two individuals, I am here to let you know they are the best of the best. I'm sticking with GPUMAX.

@gigavps cool, many thanks - I'll check out an auspicious day to buy some next week  Tongue

Thanks Otoh!

Looks like we've had 39 orders and all of the items except the "30 tickets @ 15% discount" have been purchased at least once. There are still great odds to be had here!

What are you going to do with ~230 BTC?

4 days 23.5 hours remaining! What are you going to do with 50Gh for 1 week?

hi, I would like to enter but have no mining or mining contracts experience, I have set up an account with ABC Pool, do you just point your miner at this for the winner, with their worker name & worker's password? Sorry to be such a noob

http://workername:password@pool.ABCPool.co:8332

I have also set up an account with gpumax & added the ABC pool to it, I think it's correct but not certain if I need to add a worker there - or does this just complicate things for me, thanks

Hi Otoh,

If anyone doesn't have mining experience, don't worry. We'll help get you setup with a pool account and get you started if needed.

As for your specific situation, looks like you have everything setup correctly. We will point the hashing power wherever you like. Here is the FAQ from the main thread.

FAQ

Q: Can I point the hashing power where ever I like?
A: YES

Q: What will you do in the event of downtime?
A: The contract will be fulfilled based on the total number of difficulty 1 shares submitted. That number should be 7,040,798.

Q: How can i verify you guys are sending me 50Gh?
A: No need. As long as you get 7,040,798 shares sent to you, that's 50Gh for 7 days.

Best,
gigavps

What do you do with 230 btc?

I would most certainly take the btc and have it start working for me on GLBSE.
1873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Win a 50Gh 1 week mining contract worth ~230 BTC - 5 days left! on: April 22, 2012, 11:45:36 AM
Yeah, you have quite a nice chance to win Tongue

Hi Ghodrick,

Should have put a  Wink to indicate my use of sarcasm there. Neither Amazingrando or I will be purchasing any tickets for the raffle. We are already supplying some of our mining incomes to this little project which is ~$1,200.

I think thats more than enough for the moment.  Smiley

It would be nice to have a list of emailhashes + ticketids to be able to confirm that you really did choose the correct winner.

Also anyone winning should relly point this to p2pool - 7,040,798 shares there would net you a LOT more than a few thousand BTC! Grin

Hi Sukrim, we will have a spreadsheet of all the tickets published for a second party to verify. Everything in the spreadsheet will already be hashed along with the final hashes.

As for the shares we will be submitting, they will be difficulty 1 shares.  Wink
1875  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [RAFFLE] 50Gh 1 week mining contract worth ~230 BTC - 5 days left! on: April 22, 2012, 11:34:50 AM
Will you publish how many tickets are sold anytime  so we can see the odds?

Hi farfiman,  I will need to speak with Amazingrando before we publish the number of tickets sold. I will however release some stats now for the sake of entertainment.

There have been 33 totals orders on bit-pay and the only product not sold thus far is the 30 tickets for a 15% discount.

Great initiative! I will buy some tickets!

Thank 01BTC10! We've worked hard to build up our respective farms and this is definitely a fun way to get others involved in mining.

I have not. Might be a good idea!

Okay Deathbylollipop is officially listed on the dev.glbse.com.
