I advice you to search about those two options and learn more about some good functionalities in your wallet :
- replace by fees.
- child pay for parents.
Both RBF & CPFP will only work if you are using a client which have the feature. I have used RBF method from Electrum. OP has used blockchain wallet which I guess don't support RBF. CPFP may also not work there since you can't use coin control feature in your blockchain wallet.

I personally don't send smerits in a planned way. I have never planned for it in fact. I only spend smerit when I read a thread & its replies. If I get something interesting or high quality which I think deserve merit, I put one or two on that post. I guess that's how merit system works.
Merit sources are somewhat subjective to be different & they are spending merit in a planned way. I guess each of the merit source try to spend all of their available smerits.

Learn from you! English is also an obstacle for me. I also hope that I can learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency and improve my English at the same time.
You can try joining some forum where you can get help for learning English. I can't name some of them at the moment though; you can get some through a google search.
I don't know which local you are from. I guess these days most of the local have enriched articles on blockchain & cryptocurrency. I was a noob when I joined here; I had no idea what bitcoin was other than it's a cryptocurrency but after having some time spent, now I guess I am above average.
1865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Educational giveaway | guess first Bitcoin Block in 2020 [9.5 mBTC] on: December 04, 2019, 07:11:39 AM
Since all the science has already been used, and assuming that the range in the current entries is reasonable, I went for an approach similar to how the Magic Number for Legendary Activity is generated
Most creative way ever existed  Cheesy
Well, the 2016 block adjustment will happen at 608832 blocks and it's very possible that we may have some quicker blocks than the actual average of 10 minutes. Your prediction is 78 blocks higher than the average one.
Good luck.

Lol, who would've thought someone else is applying with my information. Funnily enough; made my day.
Can I know what's going on @Little Mouse
1867  Local / India / Re: Tracing down the coins from Co-Insecure hack on: December 03, 2019, 06:42:04 AM
The investigation from Prayank Gahlot is somewhat a speculation I guess. I have read one of the 4 links shared above. Hacker is using Bitcoin Fog for mixing the hacked BTC, FYI, Bitcoin Fog has been marked as scam site as per bitcointalk. I guess this will almost be impossible to trace if hacker use some popular mixing method like Coinjoin feature & Chipmixer.
I don't get why a hacker would use a mixing site which is marked as scam, as well as which privacy can be broken down. I guess something else is there. They might be somehow connected to Bitcoin Fog. Otherwise, this makes zero sense using BF while better options are there for the hackers.
1868  Economy / Services / Re: [PAUSED]Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: December 02, 2019, 11:08:35 AM
Why would they reopen this campaign anytime soon if you are still wearing their signature and keep promoting for free?
They may or may not relaunch the campaign, either way, I will continue posting same as I did. So, I guess there's nothing wrong with wearing the signature even if they don't pay; until I decide to enroll another campaign.
Moreover, I really liked Roobet than most other gambling sites, it's thousand times better to be honest. I would like to see Roobet stay here for long time. I wish my free advertisement could bring them something good. That's how I evaluate it.
1869  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Choose the Best Crypto Wallet to Suit your Needs on: December 02, 2019, 07:01:45 AM
or desktop for cold wallet,
Can desktop wallet be considered as cold wallet? More or less we connect our desktop online most of the times. Wallets which get connected with online can't be considered as Cold wallet I guess. Won't it be a hot wallet?
I might be wrong though since I'm not an expert here in this field.

For mobile wallet, I would encourage anyone checking the list to find out the best mobile wallet- https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/android/

Great pleasure working with you.
I thought to inform you about my rank up to Sr Member. Unfortunately, the campaign is in paused now. I guess Roobet had got some good promotion. I saw their signature in almost every corner of the forum. They must consider running the campaign for long term.
I will not remove the signature for next 2/3 days. Hopefully, Roobet will come forward & continue the campaign for some more weeks before evaluation of the campaign.
1871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner’s giveaway | guess first Bitcoin Block in 2020 [9.5 mBTC] on: December 01, 2019, 05:30:42 AM
The probable first block for of 2020 will be 610535
As per the normal calculation, we have 144 blocks each day. It's almost 6:00 AM CET (Edit- It was when I started writing this post, it took me almost 30 minutes to write this post.)
We have 30 days & 18 hours to go.
30*144 + 18*6 = 4428
The current block is 606110
Probable block will be 610538 but I have reduced 3 blocks because current block was mined almost 26 minutes ago.
My prediction- 610535

- How many blocks are generated per hour?
- What does mining difficulty mean?
- What’s a mining difficulty adjustment?
- When are such adjustments done?
- How is BTC price affecting miners and therefore also mining difficulty and block generation process?
I'm very much newbie & have almost zero knowledge on mining. Had some researched & I would like to assist newbie so that they can understand how things happen.
- 144 blocks are generated per day, so 144÷24= 6 blocks per hour. It can be lower as well sometimes or even higher. That's why we say average block time is 10 minutes.
- Mining difficulty is measurement of generating of a block. I'm confused here to be honest.
- To keep up the average block times of 10 minutes, mining adjustment happen which ensure the emission rate of bitcoin are not oncreasing/decreasing. For instance; maintaining 144 blocks = maintaining 144*12.5=1800 BTC per day.
- On every 2016 blocks, mining adjustment happen.
- When BTC price increases, number of miners also increases; as a result the difficulty also increases. Because of many miners into the process, I guess block generation get easy. Confused again
I have taken some info from a thread for learning the 5th number question.

1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 30, 2019, 06:53:33 AM
David Warner hit the tripple century. It's the ever first tripple century at Adelaide Oval. Pakistan once again will lose the match for innings certainly; it's 2nd session of the 2nd day. Warner has the chance of moving it to 400.

On the other hand, England seems to be struggling against NZ. Once again, NZ might be winning the match.
1873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't ask for a loans without collateral if you are new. on: November 30, 2019, 06:20:03 AM
The forum is created for the purpose of learning & discussing things about bitcoin. The goal of someone registering here must be to do such things only I guess.
I can't imagine someone is registering here and applying for a loan. If a newbie is applying for a loan right after joining here, I guess I would also consider themselves as a scammer; if with collateral they can't scam but still it has some other purpose like farming trust.
1874  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is morals not needed? on: November 30, 2019, 05:43:43 AM
The forum has people from all the countries of the world. Most countries have different sub-culture. You can't expect same manner, behavior, culture from all the people around the world. For instance; the culture of India & a western country will not be same. I don't know where you are from. What is an insult for you, it may be normal in other culture.
I guess these things are common in a forum. You must not get offended; if you get offended by someone's word, it's better you ignore the person.
1875  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ELECTRUM SERVER ERROR on: November 29, 2019, 04:34:41 PM
Was it because of using outputs smaller than 546 Satoshis or because of setting the denomination to mBTC instead of BTC?
It may be helpful for others having the same issue.

I guess it's using mBTC instead of BTC. In fact, it's both. When you use mBTC and try to send fund like 0.001 mBTC, it will be the same of lower than the minimum of 546 satoshi. It will cause the same problem. There's no other cause of occuring this I guess.
1876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: November 29, 2019, 04:25:37 PM
In my local, it's not much familiar to the public. They don't know what bitcoin is. Very few people know about it. I have once asked at one of the famous bar in Mumbai; they said they never heard about it. It's not much popular in the subcontinent area.
Some times ago, I have started writing a blog on crypto to create awareness in my local. I guess we first need to introduce what bitcoin is. If enough people do know about bitcoin, they will frequently look for crypto accepted shop which might increase the adoption.
1877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: An Overview of Bitcoin Android Wallet on: November 28, 2019, 01:18:01 PM
I stop using electrum when it became a hot issue before where the hackers can crack the code and can hacked funds from the users.
Electrum was vulnerable sometime ago before the 3.3.4, hackers were able to send fake update notification & if someone fall into that trap, they will lose their BTC. I guess it's not much fault from Electrum side, it's your fault that you couldn't use the software perfectly. I guess Electrum is one of the best wallet.

I just wanted to include Coinomi too.
I would include coinomi as well if it was bitcoin only wallet. As far as I know it's a multicrypto wallet.
1878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why Bitcoin can only go down on: November 28, 2019, 11:53:01 AM
You are missing a lot of things of the bitcoin environment.
Look at some other altcoins, how much decentralized are they? How much miners are mining altcoin? Compare it with Bitcoin. I guess a lot of people are mining Bitcoin & the bitcoin blockchain is the most immutable & decentralized.
The whole point of cryptocurrency is to reduce the interfere of 3rd party with a secure & immutable transaction which can mostly achieved by only bitcoin.
There are a lot of coins already there in the market, they might have better feature but it's not possible to have decentralized chain like bitcoin. That's why the emission model of bitcoin supply will scarce.
By the way, I guess Satoshi never had thought of bitcoin as a value against USD. It's always 1 BTC = 1 BTC to him & that's how we must consider it if we want less hassle in day to day life transaction.
1879  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to avoid Electrum Hack? on: November 28, 2019, 07:13:06 AM
As long as hackers are there, they will find a way to hack your wallet unless you are not much aware about that. I had tried to highlights the most probable way hackers use to hack. You can follow the this as a basic for avoiding the probable hack.
Probable precaution of using Electrum- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183671.msg52423155#msg52423155
1880  Other / Meta / Re: Should we report questions that can be easily answered? on: November 28, 2019, 07:07:12 AM
People who join here to learn about bitcoin & other cryptp, these questions are very much expected I guess. It's normal to have simple question because you know newbies never do much search or they don't know all the questions have been answered already.
Reporting these questions & getting deleted would encourage newbie to get out of the forum. It's not possible to vontrol the spam in the forum (look at altcoin section), I guess these spams you are talking about are less spam to consider reporting.

To have a better solution, it would be good if newbies can have a journey to the forum by default when they register. Many websites ask to have a journey when people register on the website. I guess it would be good solution.
