1861  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Christmas Charity Programme on: December 04, 2022, 09:45:32 AM
I have been pondering over this for some time now. This platform have come a long way to this height and as members of this platform,  most members that have been here long before now have highly benefited from this platform. The bitcointalk platform has made many men which most of you can attest to that fact. For many years, this platform have been in existence and to the best of my knowledge for the time I have been onboard this platform and carefulIy research I am yet to see any post about end of year or Christmas Charity program organized by members, please correct me if I am wrong.  I think giving back to the society can also make impart in the society and also promoting the Bitcoin movement which would likely call for more adoption.

This is just a suggestion, your opinions and ideas are all welcomed. Let us discuss.

What is your take on this topic and subject matter?

One of the most important things in life is taking care of others. During the corona, many high-ranking individuals donated, as well as those affected by the flood this year. I appreciate one aspect of the bitcoin forum, and it's a good idea that some of its members organize free programs for children and orphanages out of their own pockets. I also love the kids from my area that I know. I hope to see more of this every single life matter a lot.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: December 04, 2022, 09:16:21 AM
Morocco won first place and met the requirements. Senegal placed second and earned qualification. Tunisia defeated France despite being eliminated
Ghana missed the cut but Suarez also didn't make it, so they are happy. Cameroon failed to qualify but overcame Brazil.
The World Cup is going well for Africa so far. Cameroon merits recognition because they have produced some of the best football ever played. Congratulations to Cameroon, even if they eliminated my country, Algeria, I'm delighted an African team took action.

discussing trust Holding your keys is simply the best option when it comes to cryptocurrencies, security of your funds should be the number one thing you consider, and people have always warned against trusting an exchange. I don't think, I wonder why people will so much put their trust in exchanges, not only CEO but also individuals, anything centralized I don't like, talking about banks I wish I was a legislator banks are just too annoying the way they operate is just too selfish, and holding your keys is simply the best option. keeping it safe matters a lot.
1864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: December 03, 2022, 09:22:33 PM
story becoming an experience Looking at what the OP said, most people are always looking for profit and do not consider studying or doing research, which is true, which is why you see many selling off everything or losing all of their money, some do not seek advice from experienced traders, looking at most traders once they have the fundamental knowledge of buying and selling they feel they do not need any other knowledge all they are after instead of understanding the steps in trading like understanding stop losses and take profit targets. few things to consider while you are interested in trading.
-exercising caution while dealing with con artists posing as support on social media.
-utilizing security tools like 2fa etc.
understanding technical analysis.
After observing the state of my portfolio due to the bear market, there is much more to discuss the fundamentals to know than just buying and selling, but what can be done is just to wait patiently for the rainy day when every holder will grin again.
1865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 08:01:59 PM
In the round of 16, the Netherlands had already defeated USA 3:1 it was an entertaining one, so you can see how far we've come since the game's start. M. Depay scored the game's first goal within the first ten minutes, and D. Dumfries provided an assist before scoring the game's third goal, both of which were not bad attempts to move his nation forward. After missing two penalty kicks since the World Cup began, L. Messi scored the opening goal for Argentina, and I anticipate him to make up for the one he missed previously.

1867  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bringing it back to your ears: Not your keys, not your coins on: December 03, 2022, 06:57:50 PM
not your coin or your keys is one of the most frequently used expressions I've heard on the forum, and it's truly helped me. Even when I'm on air presenting at work, I love using the terminology to warn people about how risky it is to keep your assets in your wallet. When you are purchasing and holding, I think security comes first. What happened to FTX should serve as a lesson about why it's not a good idea to leave your coins on any exchange, but people aren't listening. Additionally, since scammers have tried to get you to connect your wallet to the exchange by pasting your recovery phrase, everyone should be vigilant and careful.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin transaction double charged you. on: December 03, 2022, 06:36:28 PM
I hate the bank for their actions and the issue of double charging. Recently, I had to go to the bank just to upgrade my account and had to stand in line for several hours before I was attended to. That is why I love bitcoin; there are no bank upgrades, no double charging, and unnecessary bank charges; bitcoin is just a digital currency. However, some people are still afraid of investing and selling off their assets due to the market. Am always angered when I experience a botched transaction and am debited.
1869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: December 03, 2022, 06:02:14 PM
I admire Satoshi's motivation behind bitcoin's lack of third-party participation, full control over your money, freedom from fees and laws, and lack of paperwork compared to banks. Even with bitcoin's foundational anonymity, it stands strong despite hacks and frauds. Even though bitcoin has a great deal of freedom, it is not without risk. Scammers are constantly coming up with new ways to steal peoples' money, and there are numerous warnings about scams and keeping your money in an online account, as they say, "Not your keys, not your coin." It is always safer to keep your money in a wallet and make sure the seed phrase is well-secured. And speaking of not knowing how much you have, I believe that is the greatest option. In addition, I believe that knowing who you share your private key with is important for security reasons.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining ban in Europe on: December 03, 2022, 05:34:05 PM
Since mining farms require reliable and affordable electricity, the EU's energy crisis and rising prices are particularly uncomfortable for miners, who are forced to close certain businesses in order to reduce grid pull. I don't think the EU made a good decision there; I believe they should have increased power generation. With this legislative action, I believe it will be difficult for miners to migrate because the laws are lax there in Europe; Africa is not the best place for miners because electricity there is expensive and there is sometimes theft. And one of the best options is el Salvador which depends more on natural energy the government over there has embraced bitcoin already it will be much more conducive for miners.

1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin To My Friends| You're invited too (Online class) part 2 on: December 02, 2022, 06:49:39 AM
After about 3 months, I am here again. After reading your replays and your support, I got a lot of motivation! But this is not the whole story.

You can find Teaching Bitcoin To My Friends (Part 1) here. (The whole story started here)

When I started my weekly meeting, after a while, I noticed that some of my friends can't come to my house. I live in a rainy city; sometimes, the rains continue for months, and my friends cannot come to my house on rainy days.

So I decided to start online classes. Every Friday, we have a friendly meeting for 2 hours, and we talk about Bitcoin and all the important events that affect the market.

If you also want to join this group, I can create a discord server where we can talk and have a friendly meeting every week. I'll read your replays, and if you want to join this group, I'll create a discord server and update this post in the next few days. Cheers Wink
Speaking about the current market event, a bear market can enlighten the heart. I hope you bought some bitcoin and please always inform your friends about not your keys not your, security should be the top priority, most people invest without considering this. You must have gathered some information and given it out for free to your friends is a good one and I always believe constant sharing of knowledge also have a way of improving yours. good job once again op  and keep it up I will defiantly love attend to for additional knowledge.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 08:32:38 PM
Brazil versus Costa Rica Only 1 goal was scored by Germany before halftime, and I anticipate more goals from them after Costa Rica scored 1 and then tied the score. Despite this, I still have a good prediction for Germany's victory. I'm also enjoying the game. If Costa Rica scores another goal and has 13 odd, I have another feeling that the game will end in a draw. The odd is simply changing, the game as it progresses. Becoming more interesting to watch.
1874  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bank accounts on: December 01, 2022, 12:31:41 PM
When it comes to banks, I always have issues with them because of the excessive fees associated with doing business with them. In fact, everything you do is accompanied by fees, such as the card maintenance fees levied by my country's local banks. At one point, the CBN in Nigeria blocked accounts associated with cryptocurrencies, and since that time, only peer-to-peer (p2p) transactions have been used to maintain the industry. Your money is just there no increase but rather a deduction of all kinds.
1875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil Has Approved Bill Recognizing Bitcoin As a Payment Method. on: December 01, 2022, 11:48:17 AM
Looking at statistics, more people or individuals are interested in investing in bitcoin. Most people are comparing bitcoin and fiat, and Latin American Brazil, to be specific, accepting bitcoin as a payment method is actually a good one, it will also help the market, and other countries' law markers should consider it, as well. Bitcoin is gaining more traction since El Salvador made a disclosure that buying bitcoin every day will bring so many countries to have interest in investing in it. Looking at this new one was a good one and am seeing more coming.
1876  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 01, 2022, 11:36:30 AM
Oil and gas production is Russia's primary source of generating revenue. in light of oil and gas, The European Union placed a ban on them, which is a bad market and will undoubtedly have an impact on their GDP. I feel the European Union was simply trying to shut down Russia after waging war against Ukraine and looking at it globally the war is not just affecting Russia's economy but also everyone else's. With the ban now the selling price will drop, and since Russia has another source that can keep the economy going like coal and natural gas, I feel that the European Union was just trying or means to stop the war.

1878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: November 30, 2022, 09:25:44 PM
When you decide to invest in bitcoin, you should keep your emotions out of it because most recent investors haven't experienced a bear market and are worried when the price drops. However, I can assure you that bitcoin is circular smiling days are coming, so if you're thinking of it as a long-term investment, just invest and leave it for rainy days. If you want to learn more about the market after investing, try and learn more about what's currently happening. And also people introducing you to invest should make things clear before buying is not a scheme of getting rich quickly.
1879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: November 30, 2022, 09:00:42 PM
watching the game tonight Argentina's performance tonight versus Poland made me happy, I believe. Lewandowski was not given any opportunity, and Argentina had more possession than Poland thanks to Messi's numerous goal attempts. Messi also performed much better than Ronaldo. Argentina beat Poland with two goals, both teams receiving yellow cards, and after Tunisia gave France a 1:0 lead, the world cup's outcome will come as a surprise to many because national teams are taking their competition more seriously. the games are becoming more interesting.
1880  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 30, 2022, 08:42:49 PM
You raise an excellent point about how bitcoin dominates the market and how other cryptocurrencies are also impacted when the price of bitcoin changes. As is my custom, I place a higher value on bitcoin than other cryptocurrencies, but I've learned a few things from the recent events involving luna and ftx. the idiom "not your keys, not your coin" used to be common I've always kept that in the back of my mind since it demonstrated the fact that not all coins can withstand market volatility, and even while investing in cryptocurrencies carries some risk, I believe that doing so in bitcoin is considerably better than doing so in other coins.
