1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: A payment I got is not confirming? on: May 19, 2013, 08:19:24 PM
Hey there,
for some reason a few hours ago I randomly got sent 0.000004 BTC, I checked the blockchain and this was sent to hundreds of addresses with a total of 0.22BTC, no idea why. However it's been standing unconfirmed in my wallet for hours now, with other transaction confirmign just fine. How does this come?

Yes, I got this too.

I don't think they paid a fee, therefore it will take forever. I'm trying to find out who owns this address and why they have sent this.

Ah, alright. I tried figuring it out too, but I didn't find anything. I wasn't surprised as for the past three weeks every day/ few days someone has been sending me a few satoshis.
I seriously wonder why this is done though, maybe to slow down confirmations or something? I don't know much about this.

Uh, I think I found a bug. I logged on to start betting a bit, with the 0.1 in my account, suddenly I see 0.000 balance and a 0.0995 BTC payment incoming, all I did was login, I didn't click any cashout button.

Holy shi- that's amazing. I wish I had big ones to roll with, but what is RNG?

Confirming the payout the remainder of the 200 BTC cashout to Bitcoinm. Congratulations, again. Smiley (And for anyone reading this & didn't read the prior pages: I did offer to pay it out straight away but Bitcoinm was adamant that I have a bit more time incase other large bettors come).

Oh and I had to unwillingly take a 10 BTC "tip".. Didn't have much choice since he kept sending it back haha. So thanks for that, I guess.

Wow, 200 bitcoins? How did someone win that? o.o

EDIT : betting again - getting huge win streaks now!
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 19, 2013, 05:00:02 PM

EDIT : Great game, lost tough, I wonder how everyone is winning so much o.o
EDIT2 : Went big and lost 0.1, I give up x.x

Dang, bad luck :/ Happens, I guess.

Yeah, it's a great site though! What is the best bet option though? Because I see people profiting a lot.

Wait what? I got 2.7BTC in my BitStamp (which is quite a lot to me), will it be gone?
Over a long enough of time it will be. Better to store BTCs in your wallet.

How come? I'm a bit afraid to keep them in my wallet, incase my hard drive fails or I get hacked ( I got it encrypted though), what would be the safest way to store them?

You can avoid the risk of hard drive failure by backing up the wallet.

Hrm - alright, but how do I use the backup if it ever goes wrong? And do I need to backup aftere very new amount I receive? I really don't want to lose anything :/
