No kidding, I tried to withdraw btc already and it says money hold. Although the "time of the hold" is decreasing (it started at around 40000 minutes), I got a message from the support team stating that the bank is asking for documents in order to release the hold.

I was under the impression that they only require id verification if you have loaded your account by wire transfer. If you have deposited Bitcoin and want to withdraw again you can without providing id.

Well, that is what their terms & conditions state:

Quote
Identity verification

Required in case you choose to load your account by wire transfer. To comply with AML/CTF recommendations, we require our clients to verify identity by providing scanned copy of ID and scanned copy of utility bill or a bank statement which should not be older then 6 month. Copy should be in good resolution and colored.
Please note the funds will be on hold untill the identity is verified.

thanks

I can confirm that withdrawals are o.k. without i.d. when only dealing with crypto-currency.

thanks

Do you have to provide ID to actually withdraw Bitcoins or only when using Wire transfers?

I had to provide photo ID and another form of proof of residency (I believe there bank prefers a photo ID and a utility bill) for both depositing (via wire transfer) and withdrawing bitcoins.

They will place a "money hold" for about 30 days which does not allow you to withdraw your bitcoins unless you provide those documents. I am speaking from experience as currently they placed a money hold on me and I am awaiting their support ticket response to release the hold.

are you kidding? I can't take out my BTC without porviding my ID?

Your Bitcoin deposit #22150, of 0.12 BTC has been completed on November 10, 2013 - 01:18:11 PM UTC so why do I have 0.11999244 instead?

I find this rounding bug pretty unprofessional and request that it gets fixed Sad

I'm also very sorry for your loss...and I hope you recover soon

1893  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: November 07, 2013, 10:57:52 PM
Are there other sites where you can get greater than 2:1 leverage?

BTC-e has 3:1 leverage on MT4 platform.

Plus500 has CFD with 7:1. Only fiat. And I don't think they accept US citizens.

BTC-E on MT4 is also only Fiat. So you wont have more leverage than trading 2:1 with BTC at Finex (at least on a long position)
1894  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: November 06, 2013, 10:23:00 AM

I'll say it again: I understand the reasons why there can be *some* delays/shortages, but I would prefer if bitfinex would consider leaning slightly more towards "profit taking", and not overestimating counterparty risk (and whatever other reasons exist to withhold fiat from bitstamp),

I'd like to see at least one more exchange. Maybe a deal with campbx or btc-e? Even MtGox if possible again? Would diversify risks + bring more liquidity.

BTCChina :-)

ein Vergleich ohne BtcChina macht keinen Sinn mehr. Die CHinesen haben nun mehr Volumen als Gox

1898  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy Skrill, Neteller or WebMoney wit Bitcoin on: October 24, 2013, 12:36:34 PM
Essentially you just login to WebMoney, create a new currency wallet/purse (WMX), deposit money to it, and exchange to WMZ.
