1881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: December 10, 2022, 01:43:46 PM
In crypto anything is possible and it could happen in the future for Polygon as it's one of the best project in the industry and top 10 on coinmarketcap as well which makes it more groundbreaking to reach its ATH in the future. Polygon have great partnerships, solid foundation and great community as well that's why we should not sleep on MATIC.
MATIC is one of the most promising project I ever hold , till now I am still accumulating this coin as long as i have extra fund.

never lose hope for this those 20$ seems to be coming for the next 5-10 years Grin

but who cares if we are willing to keep the holding right? unless you are greedy to wait for faster result .

I think hitting $20 is possible in the long term but it won't be easy because its supply in circulation is around 8.7 Billion and maximum supply is 10 Billion which is huge. Matic at $20 means its marketcap 200 Billion dollars which can only happen if total  coinmarketcap reaches 10 Trillion or Matic team come up with burning mechanism (to burn small portion of Matic with every transaction) to reduce its supply to push up its price.

Incorrect. A few hundred dollars or a few bitcoins can also be a long-term investment, now it may be just a small amount, but when bitcoin hits 100k or 300k, it won't be a small investment anymore. In addition, if you do not have much money to buy bitcoins once, you can also accumulate monthly, yearly and your bitcoins will not be small.
Not everyone knows about trading, and not all small investors want to trade to increase the amount of bitcoin that many are still accumulating.
Not really. Like you said not everyone understands trading, doesn't mean everyone does right? I don't know, maybe in your circle there are many people buying Bitcoin for a long-term investment, at my place is the opposite. Here so many people choose short term trading to increase their Bitcoin. So you can't just say it's wrong.

There is nothing wrong (and certainly anyone can make profit from trading) with short or mid term trading provided you have got the training of using technical indicators/charts and well aware of risk and money management tools which most important to take entry and exit at right time and securing your trade with stoploss to prevent liquidation of account.

Trading is never fearful job for those who are professionals, and they enjoy doing it.
1883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: December 10, 2022, 06:35:02 AM
Polygon is so cheap and fast to use for "De-Fi". The sidechain has so much potential to take the world by storm. By taking the security of the main ETH blockchain, Polygon becomes a better choice than competing platforms like Binance Chain and Solana. Yet, the coin (MATIC) is trading below the double-digits. That's surprising to me, considering that the sidechain is quite convenient for day-to-day payments. If you compare fees on Polygon vs Binance Chain, you'll notice the former has the lowest gas fees. All Polygon needs is hype (mainstream demand) and it could soar all the way to the moon.

Do you think Polygon (MATIC) will reach $20 within a year from now? If not, why? What are your predictions for this cryptocurrency? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Matic is such a popular because of its utility, and market has not fully exploited the full potential of Matic when we look at its growth and development it has achieved during the past years. Current bear market is good opportunity to buy & it stake on any well reputed DEFI is where you can enjoy staking rewards and book profit by selling it on high price when market gets bullish. I think it can comfortably hit $10 in the next bull run.

1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 10, 2022, 04:15:03 AM
For Long term investing, knowing about the coin's project and its backends, who is going to manage it? A strong team or any other person who did are new in cryptocurrency, through which there must be some new ideas light up in the traders' mind. As, I had always done long-term trading, which gives me profit but a little. And I'm happy though.

Invest in Bitcoin with long term vision and relax, no need to follow current trends or watch trading screen on daily basis to see how market is performing because most of market experts think putting your money in Bitcoin is the best investment because it has increased its worth over period of time because its supply is limited, and it will shrink with every halving. Next halving is likely to happen in 2024 when Bitcoin is likely to make new ATH, as per prediction of most of market analysts.
1885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2022, 04:11:00 PM
Long-term investment: An investment held for more than 5 years. Although few people say that they are short-term investors, there are actually many such people! In the context of long-term investment, entrepreneurs may invest in strategies, research, or some projects that have high personal returns, but shareholders expect relatively low monetary returns.

Long-term investments should coincide with the cycles that are caused by bear and bull markets. Thus, it is necessary to make investments at the end of the bear market and the beginning of the bull market, and after reaching high, it is necessary to sell your coins and wait for the start of a new cycle.

I think it is not easy to identify the end of bear or bull cycle with 100% accuracy but what we have learnt from our experience that Bitcoin usually falls 80-85% from its all time high before it starts recovering, Hence we should start accumulation around that level and continue buying on every dip. This is what I think is right strategy based on historical trend of Bitcoin but it is not necessary that history always repeats itself.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2022, 10:33:18 AM
The best token suitable for long-term investment is Bitcoin, and its development history of more than ten years has proved this point. Even in a bear market, Bitcoin is still in an upward trend from its appearance to now.

Yes, but to correct you, Bitcoin is not a token, it's the top crypto that's why as you have described it, the best investment. And even if we are in the bear market, you can still make money out of it. Although the best approach is to buy cheap thru DCA and hold for the next bull run.

The market is completely unpredictable and highly volatile. Not all cryptocurrencies are very long-term investments, and decisions about long-term or short-term investments should be made based on research on the tokens.

True, not all cryptos are created the same, some are best for long term, and then there are due to pump and dump scheme in this market, it could be used for short term only. And once you make money, then rinse and repeat, look for the next crypto to pump.

Yes! Bitcoin is not a token it is coin because it has its own block chain, and it operates on it, whereas tokens are also digital asset but don't have their own block chain and they are issued by using existing networks.

For long term holding, Bitcoin is the best digital asset and historical track record of its performance , has proved it again and again.

1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 09, 2022, 07:24:32 AM
Cryptos have had many crazes all over the years. First, it was Bitcoin appearance.
right after that, there were the altcoins and soon after the ICOs, IPOs and all the O's thingy craze. Afterwards the PoS and stacking craze came to play and then smart contracts came around then the DAO Blow. Then the Cexes, the Dexes and right after that, we saw NFTs rise along with the metaverse. (I'm probably missing something). Now we just had the Merge.
Many of these phases have helped the crypto market achieve new highs and led the blockchain technology to go mainstream.
A lot of developments have been a part of the industry growth, so my question here is, what do you guys think will be the next craze in the industry?

Whatever the craze will be in next bull run but I am sure its theme won't be same as was in previous one. In the previous bull run DEFI sector was leading but many scam project damaged its reputation & many investors backed out. Now this sector has gone through reforms and market has already wiped out many bad players.
The next craze could be Ethereum based DEFI and layer2 layer3 projects.
1888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 09, 2022, 04:29:55 AM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?

Pls, advise me.

There is nothing to fear of, if you are willing to buy Bitcoin because it is the future of money, its limited supply of 21 Million makes it deflationary which is its major strength, no matter how much it falls during the bear run, it will bounce back and make new ATH . Please don't make all your buying in one go, buy in at 3 steps on dips hold it for long term.
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: December 09, 2022, 01:43:34 AM
Of course the Bitcoin market will be pumping. We have seen a peak in Bitcoin. Bitcoin reached a high of $69,000. From there, the market has been dumping a lot.  Currently, the Bitcoin market is standing between $17,000. By filling this gap, Bitcoin will occupy a place that people have never imagined. But those of you who have invested just wait for a while, be patient, maybe between 2024 and 2025, the Bitcoin market will set a new record.

Good to see that Bitcoin opened green this morning and current price is $17,262 which is above its pivot point of 17,095 and next resistance on day chart 17,424 which I hope will be broken as trading volume is reasonable. The US dollar index is also weak which is good for Bitcoin market. Market is waiting for CPI data release next week which might act as trigger to change market sentiment.

Nothing to worry for long term investors as Bitcoin will certainly break its previous ATH in coming months and years.
1890  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: December 08, 2022, 06:13:13 PM
More problems arise due to human greed and lapses in financial management. Centralized exchanges are very risky. We should not trust any exchanges lightly. We should trust DEX more and store assets in personal wallets.
In the encryption industry, we must have more experience and ability to choose, and we must always remain vigilant and redouble our caution so as not to fall into more difficulties.
Sometimes people start with good intentions or don't cheat, they have very good plans to benefit others, but over time they get complacent and tempted by the amount of customer money they manage, and most of them are like that as real developers.
Of course the word "Be careful" will be a dilemma for people who lack knowledge about the world of DEX and CEX.

Corruption and scam is currently very sad and makes many panic, many large projects have collapsed because of the greed of the developer so as to make the market drop, the Luna and FTX case makes the market continue to drop and we are certainly worried if there is the same case again so that it makes the market continue to continue dim and slowly die.
I am one of the people who was disappointed by the incident you are referring to, but after I re-read myself, it turns out that I, as an investor, made a mistake by joining them to entrust my money.
But on the other hand, I feel grateful that this happened, because with this I know the importance of DEX as a good storage tool and Bitcoin is the only one I have to buy.

The collapse of two big exchanges (FTX and LUNA) have exposed that how big risk we take when we put our hard-earned money in centralized exchanges where management is stealing investors' money by corrupt practices. These incidents have vindicated that decentralized exchanges are much safer because your funds are in your custody. I think in future we see huge interest in Ethereum based DEFI projects which are considered secure, and investors also get good returns.
1891  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: December 08, 2022, 02:02:30 PM
The recession understands people like you who are facing Investment and financial difficulties. Do you feel that a bear market in risk assets mimicking the global financial crisis, big losses are yet to come?

GDP is still growing at 2.6% in USA as indicated in 3rd quarter data, recession is not likely to hit USA so soon as most of analysts are predicting all over the world, FED chairman will do everything he can to avert fear of recession from the market. High interest rates have increased the cost of doing business but it will not continue for ever & I hope in the next FED meeting we will give clear indication of beginning of reversal from current money tightening policy.

Bitcoin is now stable around 17K and hopefully we will see some relief rally next week. DYOR

1892  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 08, 2022, 08:45:14 AM
Some countries, especially in South and East Asia and small countries, are able to achieve a high percentage of zero cash, but countries in Africa and many non-industrial countries will need decades to develop infrastructure, electricity, and citizen behavior.

Debit cards and others are the backbone of many economies.

I think paper money is not going to finish so soon because still in many Asian & African countries still a reasonable percentage of people don't maintain bank accounts due to poverty  and there is another reason paper will continue using it because small business run on paper money and they don't like to be included in tax net, that's why they don't accept electronic payments.

Paper money will remain in circulation unless governments makes electronic payments mandatory for people, through some legislation.
1893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin December price on: December 08, 2022, 06:25:53 AM
Let me start with November sentiment, I could not believe it would happen, FTX customers fund misappropriation later surfaced and led to more crypto bear market, this further downtrend sink bitcoin below $16000 to $15400 in November, from $21000.

See the sentiment:

Bitcoin highest price in August was $25200, $22800 in September, $21100 in October if it does not surpass it in few hours away to the month of November. In 2018, these three previous months were similar in a way the price of bitcoin did not have much volatility but followed by a massive bear market that decreased the price of bitcoin from $6600 to $3600 in November before the next massive bull run started that drove bitcoin up to $13970.

2022 has been predicted to be bearish and it was, just a month left to 2023 which is less than 2 hours away. It was not easy all through this year, but continuing to DCA would yield good return later on. Those that are losing should not sell by now when the price of bitcoin has reached significant lower price, it is wise and a good strategy to buy more using DCA.

I saw this today which could indicate bull run later on, but I do not know if it would be in December, but people are accumulating is all I guess and that December will not be bearish, not just because of the report, but I am sentimental about it and because the bear period has been long enough and not knowing what could hallen again like FTX that could further sinking the price down.

Bitcoin Shrimps (< 1$BTC) have added 96.2k $BTC to their holdings since FTX collapsed, an all-time high balance increase.

This cohort now now hold over 1.21M $BTC, equivalent to 6.3% of the circulating supply.

There are some positive news coming is all I could think now and I do not think there would be further decline. But what FTX has caused has still not gone, but the price of bitcoin may not decrease much further, though no one knows if it would decrease further or not, but good to DCA and continue accumulating for the next bull run is knocking, but we do not know how soon it would be, but very close to us for it to come true.

Let us guess what the price of bitcoin could be in December. Is it going to be bearish or bullish or just boring with little volatility?

Your suggestion to accumulate Bitcoin by using DCA strategy will sure work for long term investors & we all should follow it to take benefit of this life time opportunity. I am also optimistic that we might see some relief rally before the end of December , good news are definitely coming about inflation by the mid of December which might reverse current trend.
1894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 08, 2022, 02:16:27 AM
The early dividend period of Bitcoin is over, and the next is the stable period. What are your views on the future? I clearly know that the persistence of beliefs is often not so strong, and few people can hold Bitcoin for a long time.
I strongly disagree with this very statement of yours, as we all know Bitcoin was never created to be stable, and can never be irrespective of the huge effects on the market, as there is nothing new which Bitcoin hasn't gone through before came out successfully consecutive. But in as much as we are facing bear market now, it's never permanent, as it is an opportunity to acquire more Bitcoin if you can, as bull run is for sure for only those who could afford to hold it for long.

I agree with your opinion that Bitcoin has never been stable since it was launched back in 2009 but I think it will be stable when it will be adapted by masses & its marketcap will reach to reasonable level (around 10 trillion) then it won't be easy for whales to manipulate the market and create FUD or FOMO.

As far as alts coins are concerned, the good ones will survive, and bad ones will be killed by the market.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 07, 2022, 05:48:16 PM
I think trading is manageable with full time job because you don't need to sit in front of computer screen  if you are long term investors or swing trader. Swing trading is different from day trading, in swing trading , we mostly use technical chart on weekly time frame. I usually use support and resistance chart and set my limit orders accordingly. Once your order is executed, you will get alert from exchange and you can set new order whenever you are free.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 07, 2022, 02:40:55 PM
The inherent strenth of Bitcoin is its decentralization which no alt coin( even Ethereum ) can match & I think market will wipe out all weak projects (those have weak or no use case, excessive token supply, extremely centralized and unreliable security system) , Bitcoin doesn't need to do any thing to kill them. The native tokens of exchanges are more vulnerable to collapse  because they are heavily centralized and excessively printed. We have recently witnessed FTX and LUNA collapsing within days and causing huge crisis in crypto industry.
1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 07, 2022, 08:57:46 AM
Yep, just like he didn't realize that BTC very much follows the stock markets. I think he is confused it with gold as that's the one that has negative correlation against stock market. But then again he talks what ever his fanbois want to hear so that he can enjoy the spotlight so he could be just out right lying.

Bitcoin is following the stock market because it's still not mature enough in the mainstream world. The new asset class (crypto) is only 13 years old, compared to stocks and even Gold. It's going to take quite some time before Bitcoin's market prices move independently from stocks, and even become immune from central banks' monetary policy changes. Once that happens, Bitcoin will be able to become a true store of value.

As for Elon Musk, no one really cares what he says (except newbies). He often "shills" cryptocurrencies to "pump" prices for his own benefit. But he isn't an expert or veteran in the crypto/Blockchain space. People should do their own research to determine whenever an specific cryptocurrency is worth the investment or all the other way around. While I'm pretty sure BTC's price will rise over time, that doesn't mean there won't be setbacks along the way. Prices will go down sometimes due to unfortunate events in the mainstream world. It'll be up to you to buy BTC at cheap prices to sell it at a higher price once the market turns bullish again. Who knows when the crypto winter will come to an end? Just my thoughts Grin

It is true  that experienced investors don't bother what Elon Musk say but it is important for them what FED chairman Powel will say on 14th December about interest rate increase which will determine the direction of market for coming weeks.

I think the correlation of Bitcoin with stock market is likely to continue during the bear run but as soon as Bitcoin enters in bullish phase, it will outsmart stock market.
1898  Economy / Economics / Re: Share Your Best Money Advice Based on Personal Experience on: December 07, 2022, 05:40:40 AM
The best money advice in the current bearish scenario when fear of recession is gripping all financial markets is, to accumulate bitcoin on every dip, it will definitely outsmart all other class of assets in the long term, hence 60% of our portfolio should be invested in Bitcoin & Ethereum. In commodity market we should also make some investment in precious metals like Gold & silver to diversify our investment portfolio. DYOR
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: December 07, 2022, 01:31:27 AM
Before I describe what Bitcoin has done for me, I must tell you what else Bitcoin hasn't done for me! To say Bitcoin has changed my life, Bitcoin has given me the ability to live comfortably with my family. Moreover, it saved me from bank control, now I keep most of my money in cryptocurrencies in a decentralized system as my own money bank where we used to stand for hours at the bank. And I want to keep saying that Bitcoin was invented to change not only me but the whole future.

No doubt Bitcoin is one of best inventions of current century, it not only made my life comfortable but also created many millionaires all over the world who started working in this industry with scratch and now they are so well off what they had never expected.
I know many students who had not enough funds to pay their college fees but since they joined crypto space, but now they not only meet their educational expenses with earning from their investment in crypto but also support their families .
1900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: December 06, 2022, 05:38:53 PM
Bitcoin brought a pleasant change in our life so it  means a lot not only for me but also for my family and friends. We all started investing in Bitcoin and alts since 2016 and we worked in every sector of crypto currency from mining to trading as well joined ICOs. In 2020 we also invested in DEFI sector and made good profit in 2021 when crypto market was booming.

Bitcoin helped me to understand difference between price & value & what is difference between fiat and digital currencies. Now I always accumulate high value Bitcoin in less price and make good profit by selling them when Bitcoin makes new ATH.
