1881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 04, 2023, 04:53:59 PM
This season is full of surprises and nobody saw it coming because if someone would say Arsenal will battle to be Champions but finished second it would be like a joke but see where we are now. Some other teams did very well, the likes of Newcastle Brighton e.t.c, but Arsenal is a team that always struggle not to win the league but to seat at that number 4 position on the log, I can't really praise the Gunners the way I praise Newcastle but they tried.
With the fast approach of next season I don't expect less from them [Arsenal] because is like they're still angry and hunger for winning, they're going to unleash their energy to win all games on any team they meet during the INTERNATIONAL CLUB FRIENDLIES.
I just pray they extend their squad depth so that when it comes to injury crisis they'd have replacement and continue their good form.
1882  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: June 04, 2023, 04:33:07 PM
Thanks for letting me be part of this interview Mr Zasad.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

That was last year ending, well it was because of a friend of mine who introduced me to Bitcointalk.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?

I haven't yet can't just come here and start pouring out lies, but let's see how the prize of Bitcoin will be from now till middle of this month.

3. How did you get on the forum?

Well, I have no idea this Forum exist, not until a friend of mine came and start telling about this Forum, with so much lectures I found myself here.

4.1. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?

I haven't gotten any yet so I can't say much, as you know, you can't give what you don't have. For someone who has already been there, I still think you can still add more knowledge to the one you have as an investor.

4.2. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?

Lack of understanding around the technology and many people don't know how crypto works and how they can benefit from it. Also lack of tangible assets backing crypto and the risk of revealing personal data during cyberattack.

4.3. What is the situation with cryptocurrencies in your country? Are there any problems when exchanging for fiat? Which city or place in your country is best suited for cryptocurrency holders?

I can't say there's any problem while exchanging fiat or whatsoever.

4.4. Are you using the Lightning network? If yes, for what purposes?

Nope...

4.5. Which secure cryptocurrency wallets are you currently using?

Trust wallet

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

Talking about the merit system, I think is ok to me and the signature campaign is something that's like a motivation to many users here if not all, without the campaign I don't think users would be creating posts, commenting and many more, so to me is great. Sign campaign has never caused any harm to this Forum instead it makes users to put more effort in what they do.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?

Talking about useful topics to me I see all created topics in this forum as useful because if a topic is created and it has no comments or replies then that topic isn't useful as the case maybe, if you check out 98% of created topics have comments replies and all that then the remaining 2% don't, so I'd say all topics here are useful and important. Kudos to all users who make out time to create topics in this Forum.

Helpful users;
@Sceptical Chymist
@CryptopreneurBrainBoss
@Lovesmayfamilis
@Zlantann
@Zilion
@Majestic-milf

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?

I think I'd on this. Still new here (no matter rank) and I can't say anything yet.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?

None for now...

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?

None...

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?

Huh

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?

I'll let this one pass???

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?

Many people here would mention so many books but to be sincere I haven't read any yet.😁

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?

Ever since I was introduced to Bitcoin I can't advise anybody to go outside Bitcoin.
Bitcoin it is...

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2023?

I'm expecting $45+ that's my wish for it, before November.
1883  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: June 04, 2023, 06:27:48 AM
Money is a good follower, but is a poor leader.

Money will always lead you astray, but it will follow you well.

Any man that seeks to follow money becomes misled.
Money is meant to follow you, while you are meant to follow value.  Create value, solve problems, and do it well, you'll attract people to follow you; remember, money follows people with value.

What's your take on this?

Money is just a short term motivator as the case maybe and has limited appeal.
No doubt money is important but it comes with a standard expectation with a job and people expect to be paid with a fair wage, without it there's no way it can attract or retain employees.
Money is really a huge motivative factor, the assumption has been that people will work harder and produce more if the financial rewards are placed before them. With money people can work without thinking of the pain or stress, and extra money motivate people to work extra.
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: June 04, 2023, 12:36:12 AM
I don't see the government as a set of people who care about the well being of it citizens, they just have a way of taking more and bring less. If they have their way they'd even crest their name on every money note.
Greed and selfishness won't also let them create more skill acquisition for its citizens they rather use that money to send their children abroad.
If as an individual you say you'll wait for the government to provide job and other stuff needed  then you'll wait till you get old, is best to engage yourself in something positive to help your pocket grow financially.
While some youths wait for government to do something like the provision of job and all that, it makes 95% of the youth to engage in cyber crime, why wait for no reason? Let's take the power we have to create job opportunities for us.
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 03, 2023, 11:14:43 PM
I still can't find a better team to match CITY in all English competitions, is like they (The Citizens) choose the trophy they want and boom they're Champions. I never expected the UTD players to put in the fight they brought in this derby and they did absolutely well but the Pep Guardiola boys are too good to handle as it seems. If UTD continue like they did against City I think the future to contend for the EPL title come next season would be brighter but only if some jokers like Anthony (the Brazilian) would sit up or stay on the bench, is a good thing the Red devils didn't let City humiliate them with a bigger goal margin. They (UTD) just have to improve in all departments if they'd want to stop City next time.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 03, 2023, 10:27:18 PM
Lazio went on hard to their host, talking about Empoli, it was suppose to be a game that both sides should have scored (so I thought) and even making it hard to predict the winner, but the Lazio side ain't in the mood to start picking the balls at the back of their own net. Empoli who defeated Juventus and went on to draw against Verona didn't show any sign of getting any goal against Lazio, I was thinking that with those two games (against Juve and Verona) it would make them give Lazio a hard time to even settle down with the ball, but it seems the Lazio side mean business, was expecting a huge draw but when the red card was issued it killed the morela of the Empoli side.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 03, 2023, 09:47:26 PM
Lyon are the favorite in tonight's game with them having their scoring machine, I mean Lacazette and he's like a hero to the Lyon side but tonight they ran out of luck. Nice got all it takes to stop Lyon from coming back to get a win or even a draw like they (Lyon) have done in their previous games.
I wasn't expecting Nice to be absolutely nice in this encounter, judging from the first half, I thought it would be another easy win for Lyon like they'd come back into the second half and steal the show, but no, it bacame worse for the Lyon team, Nice wasn't easy to handle. Kudos to NICE in their victory tonight
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 03, 2023, 04:26:21 PM
Such a captain Pep Guardiola has got in Gundogan. His always stepping up to score a much needed goal and has got a brace in this match already. He could have got a third goal but, he was far off in an offside position. I just don't see how De Gea wasn't able to save Gundogan's second goal. It was slow enough and they had defenders right in between. Possibly, his view was obstructed but still, it should have been a good save.

Pep is a genuine in the football world, he always has captains to take charge on every game and they do deliver. How on earth does he do that? I thought City would feel relaxed but they just played like they haven't won anything this season and they have the champions league final next on their tab. Congratulations to the best team in England.
Speaking about the players, the captain Gundogan has never disappointed Pep, he (Gundogan's) give his all when it comes to the game of football, he's a greet player and I just wish age would just let him play more, and KDB is another captain who has every quality to lead even when his playing without the arm band. Kyle Walker on the other hand is another speedster, nobody gets past him Andi just like the way he shuts every winger that comes his way, Kudo to Pep Guardiola for making the City team to be an unstoppable force.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 03, 2023, 07:40:13 AM
We're all seeing Pep Guardiola as the tactician and all that, REAL FACT THAT HE IS but let's not forget how it all went down with Mourinho and his boys at the UEL finals how they (Roma) played and lost while all the odds were against Sevilla. What I'm trying to say is that, Manchester City can dominate the game from the first half till the 80th mins and something funny might happen to be in favor of Manchester United.
The UTD team might be struggling with form or regularly winning a game but this might be a turning point for them to even change that mentality by winning the FA cup and heading into the international friendly with a well refreshing form. Well, I just see the UTD team as the favorite in winning today's encounter against the EPL CHAMPIONS (MANCHESTER CITY).

1892  Economy / Reputation / Re: How secure are you when unknown user chats you up? on: June 02, 2023, 07:56:46 AM
The spiritual way, could it be like hypnosis or Voodoo-like manta (LOL) or some words that will trap the victim because of some sweet promises given.
Do not get carried away by the sweet words spoken by scammers, unknown people, and even someone who is not related to anything in your life.

Bro is funny right? But is the real truth, voodoo or whatever you call it, it stands as one of the best way (If I should say) to get victims fall in less than 10mins, shit happens. Sweet words are included but that's not what they're after,  your trust is what they're after. The main thing is that if you don't feel like start or continuing the conversation is best to stop or block the user like you said, but keep your important details to yourself.

Quote
I even often receive messages from unknown people when entering and commenting in a telegram group that many users have joined.
This is already an indication that they are scammers who are only eyeing your assets. It's easy enough to spot.

It is best not to respond to anything, just delete and block such users. If you respond to the chat and continue the conversation they will send phishing links or some applications that are already infected with malware, which will be dangerous.

The methods of scammers are evolving and new ones are emerging. Email messages, Twitter, and other social media are also full of spam from scammers.
Even Whatsapp messages are also targeted by scammers. It is necessary to be vigilant to anticipate things that are not wanted.

Those mentioned apps are really the best place to be careful of, in as much as we find a place to just do a legit business we shouldn't let our guards down.
1893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin trading be my sole source of income? on: June 02, 2023, 07:12:52 AM
Bitcoin trading can be profitable only if you're lucky and having a strategy that works well or favors you, that's to say it depends on how the market price flow, it can go in your favor or it can as well go south, so depending on one means of making a healthy source of income isn't advisable to me, is like putting all your eggs in one basket.
Anyone in the world today with the right accounts or technical knowledge can participate in cryptocurrence. The lending and earning platform in cryptocurrence has a unique risk and are not insured by any government agency.
1894  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: June 02, 2023, 02:05:18 AM
Please don't let my question cause so much hate on me but rather let's also be realistic at times.
Though I haven't invested a reasonable sum in Bitcoin, I've at some point after watching how the market and price of Bitcoin fell from over $60k to less than $12k something similar to what altcoins do and it prompted some questions like
1. Will Bitcoin ever fall to zero someday?
2. What happens if it ever falls to zero?

The way Bitcoin prize is dropping at times, one would think is going to drop to $0 and never to get back again. Since I saw how it went from $30k (if I'm not mistaken) to $15k and later came up back rapidly it got me surprised because to me I never thought it would be that fast and I'm expecting another boost again to maybe $50k (that's when I feel investors would go crazy) and above. But going to $0 it can't instead of $0 it will elevate.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 02, 2023, 01:50:59 AM
I wonder what team will be able to compete with Manchester City for the Premier League title next time. I'm trying to stay positive about there would be a title race again. Because Manchester City are really far stronger than each one of the rest of the teams. I don't know if Arsenal can repeat this run by next season already. They will need to add some new players to the squad and keep a high discipline level.

But maybe this time we would see Manchester United joining the title race as a different thing. They improved a lot this season and they have a bigger potential to do more. With new transfers they can be more competitive for the title. It would be nice to see different teams in the race every season.

Competing with Manchester City for the title next season and you mentioned Arsenal? Hell no, the team Arsenal is like a night mare to me, they made the fans feel depressed and it can't be erased from their mind that easy. The Gunners can't get that close by giving City a headache for the title, Newcastle will be a team to look out for, even the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and others. The Manchester United squad can't do any damages to the City team and they {Man UTD} are not going to be a threat next season and I feel the UTD team might even be like the Chelsea team come next campaign.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 02, 2023, 01:33:29 AM
I'd go for Bitcoin Investment no matter the risk involved, cryptocurrence are not vulnerable to theft since their transactions are recorded on a public ledger. The transaction of Bitcoin do not require intermediaries such as banks or financial institutions.
Bitcoin has the largest cryptocurrency by market cap and it is risky in investment with high volatility.
Using banking investment is like every eyes is on you so I'd prefer going for Bitcoin Investment not minding the risk involved, just time and patience.
1897  Economy / Reputation / Re: How secure are you when unknown user chats you up? on: June 02, 2023, 12:29:13 AM
Sometimes whenever a chat comes up I just feel like getting to know the user immediately because it might be someone who meant well or probably someone who wants to get something from you, could be a vital information or could be a scammer as the case maybe.
To me I'd let the chat flow and I might even play to the tune of the unknown user, but giving out information from my end won't be possible until the intention of the user has been stated and one needs to be careful. I feel anxious sometimes when an unknown message pops up from someone I don't know even here in this forum.
I don't know if you have encounter scammers before, when you give a scammer attention it will totally change your mindset for investment plan, and if its the kind of investment you're anticipating to have or join it will be very easier for you to be victim or scam, because scammers has almost ten different strategies or numerous dimensions of applications to scam people through their communications, do you know that some can influence you with spiritual manipulation since you have already established communications and you are responding positively from the day it chatted, so we to be vigilant and take proper precautions concerning people slide on your DM for investment, when you notice that the user chatting you is unknown to know and the content of his discussion is not what you are expecting or thinking, you have every right to blacklist the user before you will be convinced to abide with the its agenda or policy.

I have encountered scammers in several occasions but that doesn't mean I won't get to know if the person has a genuine reason for sliding into my DM. No doubt that scammers have different ways of getting into the head on their victims but it only takes a stronger person to get to another, I can't and I don't believe that spiritual means can make me fall, being vigilant and careful doesn't mean you have to chase some chats that are unknown to you. Sometimes it your spirit says you should stop the conversation is best you do so, in this spiritual means of scamming people is just that we don't listen to our mind, is like we get carried away by those sweet words.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 01, 2023, 02:52:10 AM
Roma surprised me with their poor performance in the UEL finals against a Sevilla team I thought never had any in the tank to deliver, I never knew that the Roma team would fall behind, even passing the ball so sluggishly like they have already won the game after Dybala got them a goal. With Jose Mourinho on the mix I thought they'd do better by making the Sevilla team beg for a chance, wow goodness me, this is football and never joke with your opponent especially when they're the grandmaster of the Europa Champions League.
Congratulations to the Spanish side #Sevilla
1899  Other / Meta / Re: DdmrDdmr is surprising for meriting posts on: June 01, 2023, 02:23:59 AM
I have being trying to ask this but it do give me a tough time. Is DdmrDdmr using which programs to merits numbers of people at same time, I received a merit from DdmrDdmr early today and I checked it's profile and I see almost hundreds posts merited by DdmrDdmr same time but with different minutes that's not above one minutes, does DdmrDdmr use bolt?? This is surprising, I have not seen someone who merit numbers of posts same time before, does it copy all the posts link that he wants to merit and past before meriting them? or it highlights all the user's he wants to merit, to be sincere this is confusing to understand how he does it, if you have knowledge of sharing a bunch merit at a time please explain.

I guess this is a new thread concerning the Legend DdmrDdmr.
Words alone can't explain how he does what he does, sometimes I just ask myself if he does things like a human, like is he human? I just think this guy is a puzzle without a clue.
The secret behind all he does in this Forum can never be unfold, is just outstanding, he needs a medal, @theymos just organize one for him, and we need a DdmrDdmr day to be celebrating in this forum 😅.
We all should be glad to have someone as DdmrDdmr
amongst us.
1900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: June 01, 2023, 01:56:26 AM
Technology has made life somehow easy for us today.In the days of our father,they had no idea about working online,all their work to make money were done physically,and with strength,either they engaged in mini or mega business that will provide money for them.We thank God for bitcoin,that came as a messiah,to enrich the hopeful.Now my father asks me about my shop,and where it's located,I told him I'm bitcointalking,and he doesn't know what I'm talking.What do yours tell you?

OP, I just fell in love with this topic of yours, is something I'm facing right now with my mother. She has been the one looking out for me since my dad past, and some other things came to play.
Well, since I wasn't able to walk for 3years now, no job or whatsoever, a friend introduced Bitcointalk to me (which at first I thought was a joke) and ever since then, I got in and started earning it made me feel so happy because I could support her
(my mother) from home, she always ask where or who gave me money for this and that, I just said God is really providing for us, I can't tell her Bitcointalk is responsible (I tried ones though) because she'll just say I'm hiding stuff from her, telling her I work online too won't help matters, still thinking of a way to make her understand before she starts thinking I'm a fraudster.
I just need something to tell her, what would someone who doesn't work or hasn't walked for 3yrs tell her loving mother that this is how she's making her money from home?
OP, I need same help as you too please.
