Indeed a funny one. When you take a look on the teams on the right, you feel that all of them fit to play semi-finals and obviously City - Bayern couldn't be better than a final match.
I don't know if City journey will be over at this point or they could challenge Bayern. I have the feeling that Bayern is unstoppable in Champions League, could Guardiola and his players made the history this season and win the title?
Real Madrid is the favourite in the other game. Inter to pass in my opinion and there will be a semifinal Italian match tho.
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Conference League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 11:15:04 PM
If this wasn't a night of big surprises I don't know what this is then,Villareal losing at home to a struggling Anderlecht in their home league and they come and win in Villareal in Spain,in Europa League Arsenal probably made a huge number of tickets lost because they could not win against Sporting at regular time and they are now playing penalties.

Except these big surprises tonight in European lower leagues compared to Champions League everything else went pretty smoothly with the other big teams qualifying comfortably and West Ham showed once again their supremacy in this competition.
There were plenty of surprises in Europa League with Arsenal and Union Berlin getting kicked off but also in Conference League where the situation isn't any better for several teams in fact.
I didn't expect at all to see Villarreal and Lazio leaving soon honestly!
Istanbul got a draw in the away game and lost with 3 goals difference home! Same thing with Sivasspor even though I didn't expect much from them since Fiorentina is better anyway.
West Ham showed the best performance and Nice is another competitor and contender for the title.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 11:07:40 PM
Arsenal against Porto is definitely worth watching although admittedly they must now accept the fact that they have to be knocked out in the last 16 now.
You mean Sporting and not Porto Wink

Penalties are clearly a matter of mentality and in this match Gabriel Martineli failed to carry out his role which knocked Arsenal out.
I don't blame a team losing with penalties since there is a huge hazardous part but I blame Arsenal not being apt to kick Sporting since the 1st leg, or even before playing penalties in the second leg..

The bright side is that they can focus more in the EPL now.
Gunners will focus now in EPL since they don't have anymore competition to play for..

In the other matches, Union Berlin made another surprising quit, along with Donetsk but in terms of goals!

R.I.P. ChipMixer

What a bummer. They had probably the most prestigious signature campaign in the history of this forum.
But there's no mention of operators getting arrested, so who knows, maybe we'll see a ChipMixer 2.0 at some point...
Since the website has been seized I assume there is legal actions being taken if not already by feds to the owner(s) if they have the possibility to reach them or their funds. Even if everything was fine, I doubt there will be another service having the same name. Maybe another mixer in a different form?
Bitmixer was a good known service that was voluntarily stopped by the owner and now it is ChipMixer that was forcefully stopped and the list is long..

Liverpool will never forget what Real Madrid has actually done to the club in history when it comes to the champions league, Madrid has denied Liverpool several opportunities they've got to scaling through in the Champions League compition in their various meetings with Real Madrid and Liverpool needs go back to think on a better way to try qualify for next season champions league and too build a stronger team than what they have now, restrategize in case they happens to meet Madrid again come next season so that Madrid wouldn't stop them.
Real Madrid denied Champions League for several teams in its history including Liverpool that were so unlucky with them these years. Liverpool tried to revenge every time but they failed so far to kick Real Madrid from UCL.
Overall Real Madrid are better and deserve to pass. Liverpool this season are weaker than the previous ones. They have 2 goals advantage in the beginning of the first leg game but they cannot keep it that way and the aggregate ended up after the two games with plenty of goals.
4 matches out of the 8 had 5 goals or more scored between the two legs!
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 15, 2023, 07:34:10 PM
We have some minutes away to the start of the match, For Liverpool to survive the game today and to eventually qualifies to the next round of this champions league compition ,that will be a some sort of miracle, possibly what I guess they could get in this game tonight is wining Real Madrid at their home and Real Madrid will win the overall aggregate score line.
Miracles are known to happen to Real Madrid in Champions League Wink I don't recall a team doing such great comeback the way Real Madrid did in the previous version. I assume City and the other teams are praying for Liverpool victory to get ride of Real Madrid  Grin
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 15, 2023, 07:26:28 PM
I assume many people are concentrating on Champions League games while EPL decided to schedule 2 matches today between Southampton - Brentford and Brighton - Crystal Palace. Both games will start soon with a clear advantage for Brighton and close chances between Southampton and Brentford with a slight advantage for Brentford
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 15, 2023, 07:22:34 PM
It may be called a small miracle that Bayern Munich is only 2 points ahead of Dortmund. That was different in recent seasons. But Dortmund is much more vulnerable than Munich, it can also be completely decided in a few games. I don't see Bayern giving this away any time soon. I think Bayern will drop some points, but the biggest problem for Dortmund is that they themselves drop a lot of points against lesser teams. After the winter break they put up a great series, but in the first half of the competition they dropped a lot of points and because of this mediocre start to the season they are now 2nd.
Dortmund will face Bayern in April 1st, and that is considered as the best opportunity to get closer from them and eventually passing them, or else give Bayern a chance to fly away with the title.
The remaining matches in the next rounds are somewhat equivalent between the two teams, I mean neither of these teams have a serie of hard games or easy ones.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 15, 2023, 07:17:37 PM
I just realized that the two El Clasico matches that will take place this week and in early April for the second leg of the CDR will all be at home to Barcelona. It's true that Barcelona is so difficult to beat, especially when they become the host, I think Real Madrid's chances of winning are very slim. Even so, I don't think Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to continue losing to their eternal rival and hopes that they can bounce back in the upcoming El Clasico match. Benzema and Vini must stay fit in this match because these two players are the key to victory for Real Madrid.
El Classico games are always challenging and Real Madrid lost the control lately and needs to recover vs its eternal opponent. Odds are in favour of Barcelona for several reasons, including playing home, being more stable, winning Supercopa and the first leg of Copa Del Rey but just not forget that Real Madrid won the first El Classico game in La Liga this season with 3 goals to 1.
Real Madrid have no choice in La Liga, it is whether they win or say goodbye to the title. In Copa Del Rey, their mission is harder since they have to win with 2 goals or more..
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 11:14:25 PM
Glad to see my choice was coming true. Porto was not able even make a single goal against intermilan. Intermilan has been qualified for the last 8 as we all manchester city by winning with very big scores against leipzig. It must be a very easy prediction. It's better for porto to keep trining to execute the golden chance that came to the club. I meant to look at how it was so hard for porto against intermilan. Glad to see that haaland was making 5 scores alone against leipzig. it seems like that the performance in the bundesliga was also affecting the performance from the club in UCL.
Inter were lucky to not receive a late goal and undergone extra time. Porto being unlucky during the game and mainly at the end, the post and the bar saved Inter this time but the result remains poor for them..

I guess that if halaand can add more goals if pep was not deciding to replace him with another player. What a super game from haaland.
Poor Guardiola is being heavily criticised for his decision and called indirectly traitor and preventing Haaland from scoring 6 goals so he can bypass Messi record and just not tying with him. Well I think that Guardiola decision was normal personally.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 14, 2023, 09:41:49 PM
I don't think there is any concrete reason Guardiola asked the club to sell Haaland immediately, he has had a perfect first season off with lots of goals already scored for Manchester City. Haaland goals helped Manchester City win a lot, his playing style almost blends with Guardiola's concept. I don't think cases like Ibrahimovic at Barcelona will be repeated, Haaland has become one of Guardiola mainstay players in the Manchester City squad.
City cheikhs will not be happy to see one of the best young players in the world bought with a considerable amount of money, scoring record goals in his debut, being out of the club in his first season.
Haaland wants to be in City, like his father and I assume he will try to stay there as long as possible and will try to adapt.
Haaland isn't Gareth Bale to stay if he was asked to leave nor Neymar who doesn't care to improve, nor Ibra who has his arguments and ego.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 09:35:59 PM
Anyone know why Pep took out Haaland? The man scored 5 goals, he would break the record if he played a little more. From the 60th minute, Pep took him out of the game. Okay, you might be thinking about the Premier League, but let the guy play a little longer and break the record. I couldn't understand this at all.
It's an evening that Leipzig will want to forget as soon as possible. They probably didn't expect such a match after the advantageous result they got in the first leg.
Imagine Haaland being injured, Guardiola will be the only one to blame and every one in this planet will criticise him for what will be called a huge and unforgiven mistake.
Every coach will take out his stars from the game once he feels it is safe to do it. It doesn't make sense to let him score more goals in a game where the only objective is to win to pass to the next stage.
BTW Haaland deserves a lot of respect, scoring 5 goals in less than 1 hour and in a Champions League game is something very special in his career.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 08:18:37 PM
Honestly , I cannot see 3 Italian teams moving further in UCL and I do think the one who will fall is Inter and Porto do have a reputation for taking out big team from time to time when it comes to UCL games. Now , odds are also very satisfying for this game , especially if you think like me that Porto will qualify. Cool
We have less than 15 minutes in the game and I see that the odds are changing, Inter are @2.4 right now and Porto @2.95 since they are taking the ball seriously.
Inter will have a hard game here to keep the 1 goal advantage in aggregate.
Meanwhile, City is still holding a good odds vs Leipzig but they have to score a goal at the opposite of Inter which can just keep a draw to pass.
1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 08:11:27 PM
It's a shame that Barcelona were eliminated too quickly due to their encounter with Manchester United, but there are still some elite teams that are still surviving which makes the Europa League even more interesting.
Barcelona made a surprising early exit from both Champions League and Europa League although being the best team in La Liga in terms of rank, performance and statistics. ManU proved back then how serious and dangerous this team can be.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus are still a mainstay in the Europa League, it's difficult to predict which team will make it to the final. If I could choose, I would put Manchester United and Arsenal to play in the final because these two teams have performed very well this season which makes the final even more exciting.
You selected here the two most stable team from the ones remaining in the competition. Arsenal and ManU deserve to play the final game. Juve could have a chance too if they play seriously.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 14, 2023, 07:46:37 PM
Let's just wait and see, nobody knows who will win the league yet, the two clubs performance is really good and they are in tight race currently because the gap between the two clubs are kind of close.
Arsenal is the favourite team since the beginning of the season due to City losing many points, Liverpool that is no longer competitive, Spurs being Spurs, Chelsea being out, ManU that was in deep crisis back then.
5 points gap right now is indeed a weak advantage for gunners but they could maintain it in my opinion.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 13, 2023, 10:18:40 PM
In that time period they continued to have poor results and ten Hag was even criticized harshly by some people. But after being patient they started to make a big improvement in their performance. If they continue to carry this performance level to higher ones in time they can reach the position to fight hard for the league title as well.
Ten Hag made a great job with ManU and I assume no one could say otherwise. I am aware some fans criticised him especially when it comes to CR7 departure but he did manage the team pretty well after they were kind of bunch losers!
The actual failure should be reviewed especially the harsh defeat vs Liverpool and take a lesson from that. ManU is a good team and you can expect a lot from them. If they played the same way they did since the beginning of the season they wouldn't be in that spot Wink
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 13, 2023, 10:14:51 PM
While others are still going through ups and downs in their domestic leagues,  Napoli in Italy  league and Fc Barcelona in La liga seems to be the only team that is completely unerturbed. Barcelona has secured yet another 3 points to stabilise their lead. Their next fixture is with real Madrid and I believe this match to be a scale of measure for who truly will keep the title cuz After playing real Madrid, subsequent fixtures will not be a problem to this two la liga leading giants.
Napoli, PSG and Barcelona are in a safe positions right now and they could consolidate that in the next rounds. Barcelona will face Real Madrid and a win for Barca means that La Liga title will be theirs.

ATM won vs Girona with 1 goal scored by Morata at the end of the game. ATM profited a lot from the successive defeats of Real Sociedad and Betis in the previous rounds and they are now 3rd with 6 points safe zone from losing its Champions League spot.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 13, 2023, 10:07:32 PM
1-1 for Milan and 20 minutes to go.
Will they lose points today too?
there is little chance for milan to be able to win from salernitana this time because the match is almost over, it seems that milan's ambition to shift lazio's current position will not happen

Salernitana's defense in this match must be appreciated, they looked tough enough to block all of Milan's attacks
Milan failed to preserve the 1 goal they scored in the first half and Salernitana players were able to score and defend in order to win a point from them.
At the end Milan missed a chance to get the same number of points as Inter and eventually to claim back the second spot since Inter will face Juve while Milan will face Udinese.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 12, 2023, 11:20:39 PM
Even the defense was tight
Barcelona's defense in La Liga has been very strong and tight this season, it is very hard for many teams to score a goal against Barcelona, in the La Liga Barcelona have conceded only 8 goals, no club in La Liga has conceded as low as that, even Real madrid have conceded 19 goals. Barcelona are not only strong in defense, but also in attack as they have scored 47 goals, only Real Madrid have scored more than them and they have scored 50 goals. I feel Barcelona are so ready to win the La Liga this season, they are strong in both attack and when they are defending too, they have a 9 points gap and i trust them to hold their lead until the league is over.
La Liga title is almost in Barcelona's hands.
Barcelona rarely receives points as you mentioned, thus rarely lose. We are talking about 2 defeats and 2 draws only in 25 games.. In the other hand, Real Madrid receive many points and missed many points. If we projet the actual results until the end, then Barcelona will be the winner.
The only hope for Real Madrid is to see Barcelona getting sanctioned or seeing them losing several matches, the ManU way.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 12, 2023, 11:14:25 PM
Marseille 2-2 Strasbourg. Marseille should have got three points after they led 2-0, but Strasbourg was able to make a quick goal and success equal the score, even in the last minutes Strasbourg almost got the win this team have a golden opportunity at home of Marseille. With this result, Marseille can only get one point and now Lens which will definitely be very happy with that result, because the gap between the both is not too far.
Imagine leading with 2 goals until the 88th minute then you get knocked by 2 goals in like 2 minutes! That was a disaster for Marseille. Strasbourg was in the relegation zone and barely get out from there. Their performance this season was chaotic. Getting 2 goals in a very short period, made Marseille look weak..
PSG got 10 points comfy gap. Lens is the other team that got 3 points in this round among the top 7.
