Let's see if Newscastle and West ham can do well to eliminate both Manchester United and and Arsenal. I have no problem if Newcastle eliminates another Manchester team...
Arsenal managed to get a victory from Brentford, well that was expected but when I see Manchester City leaving soon when facing Newcastle United that was quite surprising, especially that Newcastle isn't that solid as last season.
Everton kicking Aston Villa was the other unexpected result.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool
Chelsea vs Blackburn Rovers
Everton vs Burnley
Exeter City vs Middlesbrough
Ipswich Town vs Fulham
Manchester United vs Newcastle United
Mansfield Town vs Port Vale
West Ham United vs Arsenal

Liverpool
Chelsea
Everton
Fulham
Manchester United - Newcastle, I will go with Newcastle for obvious reasons
West Ham - Arsenal, I will go with gunners
The other 2 matches are random for me.

Barcelona playing on Friday night for the first time in a very long time and the score is 0 - 0 despite some big chances from both sides, with Ocampos missing for Sevilla and Fermin as well as Felix missing for Barcelona.
Barcelona vs Sevilla
   1           -       0
After their long struggle, Barcelona finally got 1 goal because of Ramos' OG. This is a lucky break. because the match went pretty tough. Sevilla also played quite well, but unfortunately they made a fatal mistake which resulted in defeat.
Sevilla tried their best but Barcelona was better. Sergio Ramos was in the wrong position and he wasn't helpful for his team this time. I find it not bad after all to resist against Barcelona since that means that Sevilla are healing. Hopefully next times are better for them.
Girona - Real Madrid match will be played tomorrow and Barcelona might lose the first spot again.

It is rumored to be the last year of Allegri in Juventus.

Rumors are about for Conte or Tiago Motta as new coach the next year.
Juventus tried many coaches and nothing changed. With Allegri, situation was better since sanctions have heavy impact on the team.
For now Juventus are fluctuating but winning most of the time, they should keep winning and avoid losing easy games.
I think that Mourinho future with Roma will finish soon if they continue losing like that. Genoa won by 4 goals vs them which is shameful..

Atlético Madrid’s brilliant winning against Osasuna as their 2-0 victory has secured an 11th successive victory for atletico when placing them side by side with osasuna, in their last five matches played so far, they have been able to win three games, lost one and drew one this win they just got against osasuna becomes their fourth win in six games and they have remained unbeaten at home.
Atletico Madrid is doing fine for the moment with a nice record in the previous games vs Osasuna and Real Madrid, making them in the 5th place and potentially in the 4th since they have a lacking game.
Morata got a red card in this match which wasn't necessary. Luckily they will face Cadiz in the next round before playing vs Feyenoord in La Liga and Real Sociedad in Champions League.

Just summing up the last page of posts, we knew from last season hooliganism is rearing its head in Dutch football again -- some new rules in place I see being done here and there across Europe. Strange that Rotterdammers are usually to blame. Not to point fingers but I think they need to be harsher on clubs. Empty stadiums aren't enough, damage is done.

A lot of fans will suffer. Players too. But the problems seem to be worsening in the Randstads, absolute bans need to happen. Cause it starts like this. "Harmless" property damage and cheeky standoffs. It quickly progresses to threats, weapons, etc.

Back to the footie, Berghuis must be having nightmares =)
Some fans are just harming their own team without knowing that. Are they trying to stop the game since their team is doing badly? That happened and Ajax received another goal and lost by 4 goals to 0.. Sitting in the end is bad for a team like Ajax Undecided
By the way Alkmaar is leading right now by 1 goal vs Heracles

Last season's Juventus team did not perform very well. I haven't followed much of the Juventus team this season so far. However, seeing the news in some places, I understand that the team is trying hard to return to their best performance.
I want to add with difficulties. Juventus are trying hard to find its previous form when they were dominating Serie A. These seasons most top teams are equal with the exception of one team flying alone in every season, whether it is Milan or Inter or Napoli.
This round is the opposite of the previous round, with Inter defeat vs Sassuolo and the victory of the other teams that failed previously!
Napoli won by 4 goals, Milan 3 goals, even Lazio won 2-0 vs Torino. Interestingly Sassuolo embarrassed two top teams successively (Juventus then Inter). It was the first defeat for Inter this season.

Bayern Munich would be playing against one of the League contenders so they have to be very careful as well as giving their best performance else they may end up with a lose or another draw like they did against Leverkusen, the last time they face Leipzig was in the Supercup final and they had an embarrassing defeat at home but this time around they'll be playing away from home which gives Leipzig more advantage to win, therefore should be very careful with their defense and not underestimate Leipzig for the second time.

In their last match, Bayern dominated the game but couldn't find a way to win their star player Kane couldn't do much to help them due to he just arrived and was still adapting to the team, but now he's understood his team made and blend into their pattern of football, the fans would be hoping he delivers the team this time around.
Bayern Munich and Leipzig played few days ago in DFB-Pokal and while Bayern Munich won with 4 goals to 0 vs a team in 3.Liga, Leipzig won with 3 goals to 2 vs a team sitting in the 14th spot in 2.Bundesliga.
Leipzig is a good team and can make surprises but I find it hard to think they won with difficulty vs an opponent like that. Although playing home and winning their last game vs Bayern, their odds are lower. I tend to think Bayern Munich will win Saturday game.

At least it has been an entertaining win for the fans who have pinned a lot of hope on Pochettino so far. Brighton is a good team to provide the best resistance against Chelsea, but Chelsea managed to overcome the challenge even though they could only score 1 goal.
That victory made Chelsea and Pochettino breath deeply. I think if Chelsea lost it and got kicked from EFL Cup then it will be a yellow card for Pochettino and just another bad failure will send him out of the club.
Hopefully this victory could make the team more stable and trusting themselves. In the other hand I feel sorry for Brighton, they deserve to play in further stages but that's all for them.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 28, 2023, 04:57:05 PM
They've suprisenly got this far but I don't think they'll be league contender this season, gradually when the league gets more tougher they'll begin to decline in both form and position due to fatigue and quality squad depth, they didn't invest much on quality players that could help them through the season so I don't think they might survive for a very long time, however they've been very impressive so far and I'm suprised at their performance this season,  cause they've won 6 games out of 7 and are currently the league leaders with a point ahead of Realmadrid and Barcelona.
It is quite unexpected to see Girona leading the table after 7 rounds without any defeat and a single draw. Barcelona got 2 draws and Real Madrid lost a game once. The draw that Girona took was vs Real Sociedad in the beginning then flawless victories came successively. They will face next Real Madrid in a home game and odds are not in their favor. We will see! I doubt also they could keep that spot after the 8th round.

As we know, Xabi Alonso's name is often linked as a candidate for the next Real Madrid coach and even Ancelotti also hopes that one day he will coach the city of Madrid's proud team. However, it seems that not only Xabi Alonso is included as a candidate for Real Madrid's new coach and now Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi is also included as a candidate for the next Real Madrid coach.

I think Real Madrid's interest in Roberto De Zerbi is quite risky and however, even though he coaches Brighton very well, it's not certain that when he is in a team as big as Real Madrid he can carry out his duties well. Like Graham Potter, who previously surprised people when he coached Brighton, but after becoming Chelsea coach, he encountered difficulties and was even fired. Who do you think is the right coach to handle Real Madrid in the future? Xabi Alonso or Roberto De Zerbi?
Brighton rise was quite interesting in the last seasons and for sure coaches have an important role on that. Now when it comes to Chelsea I think it isn't the best example to talk about since there is a list of coaches that failed resuscitating the team.
These two names, Xabi or Roberto, look good and they might get a chance training Real Madrid and winning something with it. I don't have a preference but EPL is harder to manage than other leagues.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 27, 2023, 01:47:33 PM
It is not worth giving Pochettino a longer chance because anyway, if for example until the end of this year or it can be said that until halfway through the season Pochettino still cannot restore Chelsea's performance. Then obviously, I believe Pochettino will be fired, because basically Pochettino has a very good time to build Chelsea. But what happened was a complete failure, because when a coach has enough time to prepare before starting the season at that time, the coach should have succeeded in making good preparations for the team. But what happened to Pochettino until now for Chelsea, is clearly a failure and worse than Potter.
There was 6 rounds played in which Chelsea won once, got 2 draws and 3 defeats. They received more goals than what they scored. The only positive match was vs Liverpool where they got a draw in the beginning of the season, we all thought that Chelsea is getting better then negative results followed quickly.
I blame Pochettino also for defeats and points loss but also players and staff. The dysfunction in this club is getting more obvious throughout years no matter how much they spent to fix it.
Just imagine losing today vs Brighton in EFL Cup and leaving it that early..

With this video, Calenda's agent is considering suing Napoli. As for other news, Victor Osimhen's Instagram account has also deleted all his posts related to Napoli. It seems that now the relationship between the two is on the brink and it is possible that with this problem, Victor Osimhen could leave in the winter.
Missing a penalty, missing points or anything that could occur in a game including red card or whatever should remain in the field and analysed and treated accordingly. It doesn't make sense to joke their best player so he is thinking about taking them to justice. Everyone is losing in this nonsense.
Even the other players will receive a bad message about the treatment they will have once they miss something.
Not sure if Osimhen will be in the starting eleven in today's game against Udinese but news are expecting him to be there.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 27, 2023, 12:00:08 PM
Napoli is suffering in every aspect during this season. They are not being able to show the quality they have in most likely because of internal problems at the team, the win against Braga was a bit lucky and of course was due to the fact that the difference of quality in leagues between Serie A and Primeira Liga are relevant and substantial.

Osimhen is not being able to show his skills and I don't know but I believe it is because of internal problems in the team, his treatment should have been better of course, nevertheless playing with Napoli in the Champions League can be a good window to show off his skills.
Napoli victory vs Braga in Champions League was the only victory they have from their last victory in August vs Sassuolo in Serie A.. Napoli have 8 points and scored 5 goals after 5 rounds.
In Champions League, their group isn't easy with Real Madrid getting a spot for sure and they have to pick the other one from Union Berlin which aren't good in their league too.
We were waiting a lot from Napoli this season but it seems they dropped in performance comparing to the previous one. Selling Osimehn and buying new players might be a good choice that was missed this summer.

Bolivia does have the advantage of being at an altitude above 3000 meters above sea level. La Paz Stadium is an additional strength for the Bolivian National Team. However, I think this is not a problem for the South American team because Bolivia's strength ranking is very far below other South American teams. We can see Bolivia appearing in the world cup a long time ago.
If the Bolivian team was strong enough like Brazil or Argentina then they will definitely not lose any game in La Paz.
There was times where playing in high altitude was prohibited then it was reversed. Players suffer a lot from high altitudes.
Bolivia will face Ecuador in October 13, their records are 0 points with -7 goals, the worst in the table.

Tuesday 26th September
Juventus 19:45 Lecce
Juventus will face Lecce in today's game and logically they should win, moreover they are playing home. Well I said logically since Juve showed horrible performance and result vs Sassuolo with a catastrophic defeat in the last game by taking 4 goals.
Lecce for the moment are in front of Juve in the ranking, hopefully they will not embarrass them and pick points from them.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 26, 2023, 08:09:05 AM
Real Madrid obviously have injury worries at the moment, but have an experienced center forward in Joselu, however injury to Vinicius and a couple of other players have affected. Joselu might not be on the same class as Karim Benzema, but it was intentional for Real Madrid not going all out for a new expensive as they plan on having Mbappe by the end of the season, we all know Mbappe have been their No. 1 priority for some years now, I'm sure they'll have other signings too along the line, but I supposed those could be on hold until project Mbappe is complete.
It is unfortunate to see Real Madrid dropping points even though they were facing a good team like Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid shouldn't accept to receive 2 goals in less than 20 minutes from the starting of the game. Lack of concentration made things worse for them. Even the rocket sent by Kroos to the goalie didn't help them get the draw.
Now things are getting stretched in the top of La Liga with Barcelona and Girona sharing the same number of points while Real Madrid passed to the third place just 1 point behind them..

Perhaps quite surprised too, because in this match Mbappe was pulled out and replaced by Goncalo Ramos in the 32nd minute. But yes, even though in this match PSG played without Mbappe, the fact is that PSG still managed to win with a big score like 4-0. Of course, this victory without Mbappe can be a trigger and or boost the morale of the players to be better without Mbappe. Because the problem this season is about too high dependence on Mbappe, so when PSG managed to win without Mbappe, it is clear that winning results like this are great results for PSG.
Mbappe left the game after 30 minutes since he was injured otherwise he would continue playing. His teammates made a good job securing 3 points from a rival like Marseille. The best part is scoring 4 goals without receiving any. Hakimi, Ramos and Kolo Muani scored these goals proving that PSG might be safe without Mbappe. Hopefully they could be Wink

Lens finally won a game.. What a bad start they have this season..
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 25, 2023, 04:43:35 PM
It's been great to see Leverkusen's form lately, yes they are slowly improving after a difficult time last season. The presence of the coach is undeniably the beginning of their revival. Leverkusen must appreciate the performance of Xabi Alonso who directly made changes for the better.
At the beginning of his coaching, not a few people doubted him, the reason was because he was a coach who was said to still lack experience. But he can prove even though at first he was still shuffling to create a change.
Now he brings Leverkusen to the top of the standings, so he must show the consistency of the club he currently holds.
Leverkusen started this season very good, they are competing Bayern Munich in terms of match results but also goals scored and accepted. The good part is they are scoring many goals which is reassuring.
The 5th round finished and the fighting for top spots seems to be intense. I find Leipzig doing good also. I am not sure for how long Hoffenheim and Stuttgart will remain in this form and whether Dortmund will wake up soon but Bundesliga looks more interesting with many teams close to each others.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 25, 2023, 04:28:05 PM
Such a shame for Roma for them to only have 5 points in 5 matches, it seems that Mourinho time is fading out because I don't expect such poor result from them this season. I was thinking that after winning their game last week, that they have picked form, I never knew that it was just their lucky day.
Actually all teams are failing, not only Roma.. After all Torino isn't that bad and playing home, they were able to get a draw after Roma goal by Lukaku.
Atalanta, Inter and Milan are the ones that got 3 points this round. Otherwise Juve failed badly vs Sassuolo, Napoli and Lazio got only one point.
So far it looks that Inter are willing to pick the scudetto this season and Milan will annoy them the most. Not sure if Juve could keep up with the rythme or not..

Good game from the north London derby as Arsenal pushed Tottenham for a win but fell off short. Also, i think the title this season belongs to Manchester city no team can catch them. Arsenal injuries mean they will struggle this season as seen inn the game today against Spurs.

It was a good match, i did enjoy myself.
Although the odds shown before the game to be in favour of Arsenal but Spurs were able to get the draw. This result was after all acceptable and expectable. The other sad result was for Chelsea since they couldn't win even vs Aston Villa and Sheffield United total failure with 8 goals vs Newcastle! They couldn't score even a goal!
