The only viable hedge against inflation which is clearly noticed last year is the USDX, it was the only asset in which investors gained while inflation was seriously biting.
USDX? what if inflation hit and your savings were frozen due to the ubiquitous demand for cash advances to survive the inflation spike? clearly USDX reserves themselves, gold, government bonds, and possibly Real Estate as a store of value during an economic downturn. Regardless of all that, when inflation soars, investors will run in search of safe haven assets, including bitcoin. Despite the fact that Bitcoin is not afraid of inflation, investors are riskier for their holdings to remain in full control than the dollar type which is government controlled and easily frozen at any time if necessary to restrain a large printing press.

PSG are going to face the champions of Germany who are not even in a good shape, both teams are just not in their prime with injury problem and other issues which are making them play like lower division teams in there respective leagues. Am not sure if this fixture will be the game to watch despite the fact that we're expecting a big game from both domestic champions, well, time will tell if it will be an interesting game to watch. If I should go for a pick in this fixture, I'll go for a draw.
Why do you say it's worth watching or not just because there's no Messi and Mbappe? precisely here one can see how dependent PSG is on Messi and Mbappe. Even without them, the fact is that this fight is still worth watching. Isn't this to be expected because that way we can measure PSG's true strength if it weren't for these 2 players?

Win or lose, in my opinion, this match is still quite exciting and I'm sure Bayern Munich will be happy to enjoy the game.

Sooner or later, Manchester City can take over Arsenal's position in the standings.
Now the difference with Arsenal is only 3 points with 22 matches while Arsenal have only played 21 matches. The team that Arsenal will play against in the remaining 1 match (Round 16) is Manchester City.

The match will be played on Feb 16, 2023 at Emirates Stadium, but I'm not sure Arsenal can beat Manchester City. If the result of the match is a draw, then the difference in points is also not so far.
Lately Arsenal are experiencing a decline in performance while Manchester City always look promising in every match.
Yesterday's Man City victory brought them closer to Arsenal's points and that became a threat to Arteta and his troops. The second half of the season is increasingly difficult to predict because the competition for the top of the standings will heat up. This is the most important moment where their meeting will greatly determine the extent of the difference in the strengths of Arteta and Pep Guardiola's squad. Interestingly they meet and in my opinion the big match between Arsenal vs Man City will be very dramatic. As 2 people who used to be partners, of course both Pep Guardiola and Arteta want to show perfect results. I don't want a draw because someone needs to stand victorious to prove who deserves to be at the top of the standings.

With this result Man United has placed itself in the 2nd standings shifting Man City, at least temporarily until we see the results of today's match from Man City vs Aston Villa. A great achievement for the future. Garnacho is a dangerous young player with seeds that need to be built on. He becomes a breaker because 1 point is not enough to be safe. For this reason, he became Man United's hero in this match after Rashford goal, of course, additional points were needed. He knows when to take advantage of conditions.
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 12, 2023, 08:26:29 AM
Messi is a play maker, that's why Neymar and Mbappe can score many goals. It's really wrong if you think Messi will not give a huge impact to PSG, Messi almost always score a goal or give an assist in every match.

The first leg will happen on PSG's home, if PSG can't win or make it draw, I'm sure 100% Bayern Munich will win in the second leg.

Just check the odds, PSG is currently become an underdog and the odds is close to @3.00 in money line betting option. I think I would bet PSG since the odds is worth it, PSG will play with their best line up.
Messi's role is indeed very important for PSG's attack line this season and he has always been a key player in every PSG game without exception. But if you check the latest news regarding Messi and Mbappe who are doubtful due to injury and in the first leg against Bayern Munich I don't think it's a good decision if you want to bet on PSG.
Without Mbappe and Messi it will be a tough task for Neymar Jr to overcome the attack strategy. It is clear that PSG's attack line will look flawed. I don't doubt Neymar's performance, but it's not enough to rely on Neymar alone. PSG will find it difficult to face their opponents.

Messi was injured at a time when PSG really needed him. Moreover, he faced Bayern Munich, in terms of Bayern Munich's attack power we all know that it is not easy if PSG only plays defense.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 12, 2023, 08:08:00 AM
I guess that Arsenal had underestimated Brentford because they are preparing for the big match against Manchester City on February 15.
Maybe the gunners are losing momentum after losing points against Everton and Brentford. They will have to win against Man City, if they want to keep their first place and win the Premier League. Losing against City will make the situation worse for Arsenal and the players might not recover from the psychological crisis.
What the hell happened to Tottenham? Humiliating defeat against Leicester. I wasn't expecting a 1-4. Nothing worked for the London team in this match.
At this point I'm sure that Chelsea could lose points against every opponent in the Premier League. 1-1 against West Ham doesn't surprise me at all.

You are right Arsenal underestimated Brentford game and as usual, Arteta is not satisfied with this result, for the second time without winning Arsenal is now worried that their position is threatened. It is possible that there will be many surprises in the future.

On the other hand, Man City also needs to be vigilant because Man United will make more aggressive moves this time and don't want to lose a lot of points after their first game with Leeds in a draw. At least sticking points closer to Man City will really become Erik Ten Hag's target little by little.

Leicester City performance silenced Tottenham without a fight. This is very interesting when Kane is completely unable to move after being guarded so tightly. The attack launched by the Leicester City players was effective and easily penetrated the defense that Tottenham had built. From the first half to the end of the second half, Leicester City enjoyed their game.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 11, 2023, 01:24:29 PM
Gamblers in each country have different characteristics. If in your place they have that perspective and prefer to prioritize gambling then there is nothing they can save. Their money is slowly running out and it is possible that if they have a family they will have difficulty managing the finances that are divided up to support them.

The characteristics of such gamblers are considered excessive or addictions that are severe enough to make it difficult to get out of the gambling zone. Another reason is the environment that supports them to still easily access gambling places. Nothing crossed their minds to have any savings other than the income they get will continue to flow to the gambling house.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Gambling? ChatGPT Responses. on: February 11, 2023, 12:48:26 PM
I guess the answer to the 15-50 year old ones was generally the same, the 5-year-old one was the one that most differed from the rest (still the same for the most part, but dumbed down to the level where risks aren't portrayed as serious as the rest). Nothing new or unique, though I did consider adding gacha-type of games for the 5-year-old description initially, but not for the rest.

I do think that ChatGPT's response about what is gambling based on age doesn't really make sense. I mean, regardless of age, the answer will be general. Just look at how the response turned out, almost just identical to each other.
Well, that's how ChatGPT works, it's really generalized unless a specific data or point has it. It was an issue with stackoverflow at some point iirc, it presented seemingly correct answers due to the way the bot presented it, but was actually incorrect.
More precisely the instrument that ChatGPT describes based on age is taken from general experience where children will be simulated regarding gambling with play money and the like. As we all know, ChatGPT is too standard and still refers to the same conclusion, namely risking A to get B, the difference is only in the technique of conveying the language.

But what is the important point here about the involvement of ChatGPT and gambling that we can take? There isn't any!  Roll Eyes
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 12:06:26 PM
I think the importance of today's Brentford game is high. If Arsenal can win this match, the difference in points will increase. According to the result of the match with Manchester City, it will now be easier to talk about who will be the champion in this league. I don't think there's any reason why Arsenal shouldn't be champions Smiley
Arsenal chances of winning the Premier League this season are quite wide open, and what Arteta needs now is to continue to monitor the mentality of his players when facing opponents. Learn from the match against Everton which was first led by Sean Dyche, a person who knows the weaknesses of Arsenal players. He knew very well that by pressing hard to get Arsenal's youth players hooked and it worked. So I don't expect Brentford to do the same in this match.
1890  Economy / Economics / Re: Important tips to note when considering switching career path. on: February 10, 2023, 05:36:54 PM
How did you cope with the change that accompanies such transition of leaving a newly learned skill/job/career for an old one that you probably never explored deeply or earned significant cash returns from, but found fulfilment in?
What are some important tips to put into consideration before leaving one career path for the other?
This is not much different from one's goal of achieving financial freedom. Because everything will lead to one goal, namely everything that must be determined based on freedom. When we are still working, like it or not we are bound by a company contract that requires us to comply with all of these regulations.

Before you decide to quit your job and take on assignments according to your skills, you need to consider a well-thought-out plan and make sure that the finances that will be generated really make you feel enough. At least enough for family needs. Reducing the excessive lifestyle of expenses that are not too important.

So you have to be prepared for all the risks because basically starting a new task outside of your usual habits as a company employee is of course very different. Even though you are free to manage your time, that doesn't mean you have to be lazy, but you have to be much more active and record achievement targets in as much detail as possible.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 10, 2023, 03:48:00 PM
@hyudien I have now stopped bothering about Chelsea matches, because despite spending so much money they’re unable to show any improvement in their form and I won’t be surprised if Potter gets sacked due to their poor form. Furthermore West Ham are an unpredictable side and Moyes is hanging on his job, hence they may just win therefore wagering on this match is tricky and thus I would advise all not to wager on this match.
You are right, betting on a club that is currently unstable in any case is quite risky. but so does betting on West Ham even though I think I'd be better off skipping this bet. This season Chelsea makes us not confident in what they show on the field. For West Ham itself, this is an opportunity that will not be wasted because Chelsea is in a bad condition.

You're right. This time manchester city is still waiting for what kind of sanction that will be given by premier league to the manchester city. It seems like that arsenal can even win the trophy earliest. So many gunners were always praying for city to get points deduction too. A bit surprised that if premier league has been investigating city for a few years this time the final decision will be taken for city. So man eyes are waiting for what's gonna happening with manchester city.
So many media has been even making some articles about the end of manchester city. It will be very crazy if city will be relegated to the lower league.
The sanctions surrounding the Man City camp created great concern. The repercussions of this will involve many parties and there are other rumors that not only Pep Guardiola will leave but Haaland will also do the same if Man City is found guilty. The advantage is not only for Arsenal but the Premier League giants namely Man United and Liverpool, are clearly the clubs that benefit the most.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 10, 2023, 02:22:08 PM
The West Ham vs Chelsea match is going to be a very competitive match even though everyone is favoring Chelsea. Because West Ham is currently in good form. I think this match is likely to be a draw.
Even though Chelsea still hasn't been able to show any improvement when facing their opponents with a new squad, to prove it all I will see how Potter still has the confidence to win? shouldn't he be better off resigning if he doesn't manage to improve Chelsea's performance?

Even in the game against West Ham for me the result will not be too surprising other than a draw maybe Chelsea lose again.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 09, 2023, 12:58:49 PM

Barcelona have also lost a few important players, but in general Barcelona's defense looks better than Manchester United's, which could be decisive in this match. As we can see, it is difficult for any team to win all the time, surprises can always happen, or some kind of failure, like an own goal or the like, yesterday's Manchester United match, or the recent Real Madrid match is an example of this. But a good defensive game will be a good advantage for Barcelona.
According to stats, Barcelona defense is better than Manchester United defense.

Barcelona got 7 conceded goals in La Liga and Manchester United got 28 conceded goals in Premier League. It is a very big difference and tells us something about domination of Barcelona in La Liga and wild struggle of Manchester United in Premier League. Ten Hag improved Manchester United and they climbed to a third position but they are not as strong as Barcelona.

However, in two direct matches between them, everything can happen and Manchester United have enough good players and power to beat Barcelona.
Competition in the Premier League and La Liga is clearly very much different. In the Premier League there are many quality clubs and the atmosphere of competition exceeds that of other leagues and is the world's spotlight football league. Whereas La Liga might only be a few clubs and Barcelona's position would be very easy even though Real Madrid is there.

In fact, currently neither Barcelona nor Man United has a specific standard of who will win. Both can play with a draw. Xavi's plus point is the stable balance of players and consistency this season. As for Erik Ten Hag, he still often has problems, such as in the match against Leeds his players were mentally shaken and what worries him the most are the players who are now not in the full main squad.
1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 09, 2023, 12:13:59 PM
The intention to stop gambling certainly always crosses everyone's mind. It's just that it can't be done in a nutshell. Once again I say that maybe stopping gambling is not a solution, but if we divert or change the perspective of gambling as just a game then the risk of addiction will not be too bad. Most of those who are addicted clearly cannot bring themselves to stop no matter how strong the result is nil.

Personally, even though I have been gambling for years, it feels like I can still control what I want. For example, whether there is money or not, I still have no guilt if I don't gamble. The key to it all is self-awareness and always thinking of everything as mere entertainment. Take control of gambling and you don't have to force yourself to stop.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 09, 2023, 08:01:01 AM
Leeds was playing their asses off and could have easily gotten the three points, but they let their defense weaken in the closing minutes of the game. They started the game well, with so much momentum and gusto, but failed to sustain it. I sincerely would have loved to see Leeds win, but I was disappointed. Gnonto is coming along well; congratulations to him and to whoever suggested he go to Leeds. In their next game, Leeds should move more players to the defense if they are leading and another wise thing to do is a midfield who is capable of feeding the forwards and controlling the midfield.
It’s a shame they couldn't hold out for the win but I’m pleased for the lads performance. Last night was about everything that makes me proud. Fight, grit & belief. It's amazing what a bit of width in the team can do! Frustrating to let the lead slip, bit that is a massive point and shows what they are capable of. Coming from home to play at Old trafford and getting a result is good for the team considering their position at the moment.
This draw was obviously very surprising when everyone believed that they could win the match. Leeds United really performed extraordinarily and was able to balance Man United's game. Now, for the second match between Man United and Leeds, Erik Ten Hag must pay attention that their front lines often look out of sync, like Weghorst contributions, which still can't show a positive trend. Even more so when the mentality of the players can still be provoked by pressure from the opponent. Seeing Bruno Fernandes with his insecure ambition would be dangerous enough if he didn't get a grip on his mentality.
1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Few gimmicks about AI tokens & why they are getting strong economically . . on: February 08, 2023, 03:18:11 PM
What is your story? Do you believe that AI-based tokens are worth it or is it too early to adopt them?
As for things like investment, maybe whoever is the earliest then he will benefit. Isn't that the concept of investment when referring to the hype? But the problem is whether the trend will really come in a short time or it still takes time to seize the moment. So DYOR...

Talking about AI-based tokens, they will not be like trending tokens like Metaverse, Meme coin, and short-term trending tokens. I'm not looking at it far enough and maybe even AI Tokens will basically become a forgotten piece. In my opinion this is only used by Token creators as a trend while the project itself doesn't really have any contribution to the field of AI itself. So if it's to survive, the project has to really have the same capacity as AI benefits.

One week later more UEFA Europe League playoff round will start and Barcelona potential losing Dembele against Manchester United after confirming injured against Girona last two weeks. Have bad rumor about Barcelona not only with Dembele will absent on first leg UEFA Europe League but also Sergio Busquets have chance will absent.

I don't think problem for replacing position from Sergio Busquets because there are have Gavi, Pedri and Frankie De Jong will back up position leaving by Busquets, but I don't think Ansu Fati as the best option for replacing position leaving by Dembele.
It will be very interesting for 2 teams that are developing significantly Barcelona and Man United to face each other on the gridiron next week. Statistically, if Dembele is absent, it is certainly a big loss because he is a player who plays an important role in building attacks from the wing. However, Man United must also play without Casemiro who is still on a card sanction.

Ansu Fati might be a good fit but he won't last 90 minutes.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 08, 2023, 02:30:53 PM
from the start of the season until now Leeds has not shown any improvement. in fact it has been a long time since Leeds got a win in the Premier league. Leeds' last victory was against Bournemouth in Week 15. and since then Leeds have not won again. and tomorrow Leeds must prepare to face MU which is currently in a condition that is getting better. MU early in the season was not very consistent. but in the second half of the season after the World Cup break. we see very good change in Team MU lately. So of course in tomorrow's game MU will be favourites.

Leeds performance has not been really good. They had just recently let go of their coach after losing their last match on Sunday against Nottingham Forest. It would definitely be an easy win for Manchester United as they’re the favorites to win all over.

During the preseason games, Manchester United played well but at the beginning stage of the league, they had lost their first two games. I believed Ten Hag was then still making some critical changes. Changes that is now reflecting in the current gameplay of the squad.
Now Erik Ten Hag is much more stable and has mastered the characteristics of the players. At the start of the season, he was doing a lot of experimenting and after that, it worked very well. Erik Ten Hag consistency in building a squad has now materialized, so going against Leeds is not the biggest obstacle to adding to his collection of points and chasing Man City. It is possible that Man City, which is currently rocked by a case, might benefit Erik Ten Hag and his troops to overtake more quickly. If they manage to get 3 points in this match I believe that they can occupy 2nd position in the standings.
1899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 07, 2023, 01:37:36 PM
Say is not really understanding how it can be addicted to trade. I mean in this case trade is different from gambling and other types of addiction. Where is the trade addiction only in 2, which is the choice of profit and loss? But does it make sense to addicted due to loss? Or the person cannot distinguish between crypto trade from gambling. Somehow a person's condition when addicted to Crypto trading and indeed just heard a case like this.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 07, 2023, 01:13:18 PM
It is true that Barcelona has been amazing this year, plus with Real losing again, the difference became 8 points, nearly 3 game difference and I would guess that it would take a lot to make them lose this lead. That means if they end up being champions, all that money they spent even when they were in financial trouble may have worth it.
Barcelona increased quickly and pursued Real Madrid's performance last season and answered this season with satisfactory results. With an acquisition of 8 points as their capital to stay at the top of the standings, of course Xavi will not easily feel satisfied, because this season as Xavi said he will create the Barcelona era in a different format.

Real Madrid is not difficult but relying too much on old players who are considered to have the same performance as last season. Age can not be fooled and now Real Madrid gets a little feedback. But apart from everything I believe that Madrid can still recover if they make changes and are more concerned with long-term prospects with younger players' preparation. All need a process and Barcelona also goes through an inconsistent stage before finally being able to form a new solid squad.
