16 mh/s? Someone developed GPU miner?
I was just about to say "Hey, maybe a pool added us" and then I remembered... Smiley

Btw hashrate is now on 18 MH/s.

Some possibilities: botnet, private GPUminer....
I think it might be a botnet. Although it very well could be 3 or 4 GPU's.

One person have 2/3 of your network hash. That is not good.

How do you know it? It is interesting.
Where I can check/verify it? Smiley
I spoke to Mr. Spread on IRC and he said that he would have a look at his server's log files to determine if the extra hashrate came from 1 IP address. Unfortunately the file is 500mb in size so he went to bed and said he would have a look tomorrow.

Oh, Mr Spread, will the GPU miner being implemented into the wallet have the ability to have it's intensity changed? Because my GPU sparks (or something along those lines) when I put my intensity above 12.
Ha! 13 really is an unlucky number.
1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - new unified multi-algorithm on-the-fly kernel switching miner on: November 11, 2014, 07:46:37 AM
Does anyone have the original sgminer (only for darkcoin) download link? I looked in the old thread but the file has been removed.

I really need it, my GPU doesn't work well with the newer version.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU makes ticking sound when mining using X11mod? on: November 11, 2014, 07:16:13 AM
Ok, this might help pinpoint the problem.
I am able to mine x11 with my intensity low. But when the intensity gets higher, the card overloads or something. The ticking starts and then after a bit, the screen becomes corrupted. i.e. Pixels change colour and everything glitches out.

Here is the details;

Intensity can't exceed 12.
Experimental intensity can't exceed 2.
Raw intensity can't exceed around 6000.

On the slightly positive side, i'm getting 1.3 mhash/s

Now, does anyone know how I can set those values above in the .bat file?

Off topic;
What does 1.600M/1.300Mh/s in the sgminer hud mean?
Is the second value the mhashes?
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Logo Contest on: November 11, 2014, 06:39:23 AM

Can someone please leave suggestions?
Tone down the pink, the white and the black, it’s obvious sliders on these are maxed out.
Ok. Btw, the sliders aren't maxed out. If they were, you would just see a white circle with black triangles.
1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Logo Contest on: November 11, 2014, 03:23:32 AM
Mr. Spread, do you want our logo to be 512x512 so that it can go into the wallet?

Edit:
Here is a logo. I made it better, I think.

Do you guys like this color combination? Please leave suggestions.
Does anyone think the lines are too much?
Can someone please leave suggestions?
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Logo Contest on: November 11, 2014, 01:35:43 AM

What is your opinion of this new creation?

Purple arrows represent decentralization;
66 embossed details about the coin were introduced to mathematically represent the beginning of SpreadCoin and its propagation.

 Smiley
It looks good, but the words are a little hard to read.

What's happened? the net hash rate is 18MH/S+
Is somebody mining with GPU miner???
Join Mr. spread and I on IRC. We can talk.

If this is happening, then GPU development needs to be prioritised. If only one person is getting all of the coins, then some people might just give up mining. And Spreadcoin might fail.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU makes ticking sound when mining using X11mod? on: November 10, 2014, 11:55:54 PM
OK guys, I just tested Scrypt and it works fine. No corrupted screen or ticks whatsoever. Weird huh? I guess it's just the x11 miner.

Again, does anyone have the download link for the older miner? I just want to test it and see if it makes the ticking sound as well.

That is just weird, did you try underclock and undervolt to see if it helps?
I don't really know how to do that. Actually, I think I can do it with Catalyst Control Center.
I'll do it when I get home.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Logo Contest on: November 10, 2014, 11:48:52 PM
Should we wait for the GPU miner before we try to get onto a more populat exchange? E.g. Bittrex.

1914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 MILLION WORTH OF BITCOIN TO GO UNDER THE HAMMER | DailySatoshi.com on: November 10, 2014, 08:18:12 PM
This article is just rubbish! This is basically what is says;

The Australian government has taken 24 500 bitcoins for the creator, Satoshi nakamoto.
How did they take them? They took them from Richard Pollard.

It doesn't make any sense. This article really sucks.

Edit:

In relation to the auction of bitcoins in Australia, it will
prove to be helpful but Bitcoin is already used a lot in Australia, so it
won’t make much of a difference.
...    .... ...    ...WHAT THE FU-

I'm an Australian and no one I know uses Bitcoin except me.

This writer is a retard. He probably doesn't even understand cryptocurrency at all.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: November 10, 2014, 08:13:19 PM
You don't want to update your MOTO, do you? Ok, here is a direct competitor - HYPER:
http://hypercrypto.com/

A coin developed to be built in various games.

Maybe now you will want to change something...

Hyper has nothing to do with proof-of-play / human mining.  It is just an ordinary premined cryptocurrency that will be "used" by various games.  Or not.

Example for pixelmon:
http://hypercrypto.com/forum/index.php?topic=207.0
Quote
There are countless possibilities to earn HYPER coins from our server! The main objectives will be for trainers to...

1. Collect & Sell Supplies To Other Players Or Admin Shops.
2. Battle Wild Pokemon & Trainers and sell their item drops.
3. Start Your Own Gym and earn!

Those listed are the main factors you can do to earn,but Like I said there is alot of possibilities to earn!

Suddenly?
I don't understand what you are trying to say. Again, these games don't have any proof that you played them, therefore they are not proof of play. We had this battle with them a little while ago and they agreed to stop telling people that their game is proof-of-play.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to change the merkel hash of some cryptocoin? on: November 10, 2014, 08:09:15 PM
i did that all yesterday too,but when i come to testnet, to create merkel ,it just does nothing,i can wait hours

I normally just skip the test net and go straight to the main net. It is less confusing that way.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to change the merkel hash of some cryptocoin? on: November 10, 2014, 11:08:02 AM
for example litecoindark, i wanna fork it
Follow this guide: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=scrypt_altcoin_cloning_guide

You'll also need the genesis mining code. I found it with a quick google.

Here it is:
Quote
    // If genesis block hash does not match, then generate new genesis hash.
    if (true && block.GetHash() != hashGenesisBlock)
    {
        printf("Searching for genesis block...\n");
        // This will figure out a valid hash and Nonce if you're
        // creating a different genesis block:
        uint256 hashTarget = CBigNum().SetCompact(block.nBits).getuint256();
        uint256 thash;

        while(true)
        {
            thash = scrypt_blockhash(BEGIN(block.nVersion));
            if (thash <= hashTarget)
                break;
            if ((block.nNonce & 0xFFF) == 0)
            {
                printf("nonce %08X: hash = %s (target = %s)\n", block.nNonce, thash.ToString().c_str(), hashTarget.ToString().c_str());
            }
            ++block.nNonce;
            if (block.nNonce == 0)
            {
                printf("NONCE WRAPPED, incrementing time\n");
                ++block.nTime;
            }
        }
        printf("block.nTime = %u \n", block.nTime);
        printf("block.nNonce = %u \n", block.nNonce);
        printf("block.GetHash = %s\n", block.GetHash().ToString().c_str());

(I added "true &&" to the beginning so it is easier to follow the tutorial.

Place it above block.print() in main.cpp.

I (and probably many other people) have no idea what you are talking about. Please explain yourself.
