1901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: July 11, 2023, 11:08:23 AM
-snip-

Just stick with the smallest bets possible, mate, that's my advice. And it can be both, for fun and for money, sometimes. You can stake just $0.20 and win $200 if you are lucky. I know it's possible because it happened to me once

$0.2 is already too high, because when I lost ,I played Sweet Bonanza with a bet of IDR 1000 = $0.06 (current rate). I lost quickly because I didn't do normal spins. At that time, every time I played, I always used the buy bonus feature. But it really worse, from every free spins, always get below 50% of the bonus buy price. Since then, I, who initially made sweet bonanza as my favorite place to play, no longer play this game anymore and move to other provider such as spadegaming and PGS.

Well, you din't buy bonus feature for $0.06 , did you? As far as I know the price of the feature ranges from 50 to 200 times your stake. So, I assume with the base bet of IDR 1000 = $0.06 you paid $6 for using the buy bonus feature. That's a $6 bet, mate, and nothing else. And my advice is to bet $0.20 at once, and never more than $0.40. It is more entertaining to hope for some big luck than making your potential win bigger at the expense of bigger bets.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 11, 2023, 10:08:19 AM
~ If women would have the same eagerness as the men in the gambling, then the woman is tantamount to be wrecked to her bottom where she isn't in control of her self anymore. Everything becomes magical to them at that gambling moment keeping them the feelings of hopelessness with the thoughts of not worth to live just after loosing.
While men could walk away hoping for another day to strike back to win with a more tactical strategies.

And in an overview, Most people feels women who gambles are irresponsible and shameless because they feels it's a game of the fittest strictly for men.

It's a stereotypical way of seeing women that they are less educated and more inclined towards mysticism and stuff like that. For the last hundred years, or so, women are getting the same education as men in many countries and they are no different than men in those places, and there are more and more of such places in the world. I believe soon the question of differences between Women and Men in Gambling will be absolutely irrelevant.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: July 11, 2023, 09:27:19 AM
If you mean by all their customers taken together, then you are right. But how does this apply to us individual players? It's a false statement that "no one can beat the casino". You know this, right? There are tons of examples of people winning huge amounts through gambling, so, I think, we shouldn't repeat this false statement over and over like a mantra. Leave it to dishonest journalists.
I understand what you're saying but here what I mean is about luck and as I said before that there are no guarantees.
what I say is maybe some people will disagree, but from my experience, if I tell the truth, I think someone who wins a lot of money from gambling, if you calculate the overall losses and profits, will not be equal.
like for example I bet the first day I lost $500, the second day I lost $1000 and the third day I won $1000. despite getting a $1000 win but a $500 loss.
but back to that there are no guarantees because the luck of every gambler is different and all of this depends on a commitment not to be greedy. even though someone is lucky to beat the casino make a lot of money but greedy want to earn more I'm sure he will lose even more soon and fail to beat the casino like the problem of that time a person won over $500k but wanted to win $1m and finally all his big win was gone and failed to beat the casino.

I understand, there are such cases, there are many of them, that's true. But it's not like a rule that everyone loses in gambling in the long run. It's simply not true. It's like saying that everyone who drinks alcohol becomes an alcoholic eventually. Or, everyone who eats cake eventually becomes obese.

I, for one, am in profit from gambling, especially from playing poker, but I know it proves nothing, because it's a single case. What is more important is that neither online games, nor our brains are designed so that we will necessarily lose in the long run.

Such a statement can be true in individual perception. It's an opinion base and possible to take place.

Though most of the time, it's really more on the losing side in the long-run, like with your example eating a lot can turn you
to be an obese, keep playing and keep forcing yourself to win can turn to addicted gambler, also a big possibility depending
from how a person will handle and how he will be precise with his limitations.

Most people don't need those limitations. They just don't want to gamble all the tie, that's all.  There are many other things they fancy apart from gambling, and it's normal. Just as with that example with cake: if eating it makes you feel good it doesn't mean you have to eat cake all the time. Find other things that make you feel good. The World is full of such things.
1904  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: July 11, 2023, 08:43:03 AM
~
When I play roulette, there are no patterns, I have played a lot using patterns, both colors, even or odd numbers, and it is difficult for them to follow an order, because when one is completely sure that what is predicted will come out , it does not come out This is normal, so there are many roulette strategies , you have to use them all to see what Works at a certain Time.

This is very important for any player to see no patterns when playing roulette. Because there can be no patterns, right? All "patterns" that we see playing any game purely based on luck is just a product of our imagination. They are unlucky people those who invented a strategy for roulette and accidentally it worked couple of times. The poor guys think their strategy actually works, and then they lose everything, while betting in hopes that it will work again.
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 10, 2023, 11:31:58 AM
~

But it's not just words of someone watching from the sidelines, it's stats, it's a fact that addicted gamblers constitute around 5% of all gamblers.. Check it by yourself.

I read some articles, and really saw that there are not as many addicts as it seems. Nevertheless, 5 percent is outdated statistics relating to 2018 or 2019 (judging by the latest articles on Wikipedia). But a year ago the statistics were updated, and now eight percent of respondents admit that they cannot control their desire to play. As you can see, unfortunately the number has increased (but in old surveys it was said that the number of addicts is only two percent).

I am sure that this is due to the fact that digitalization has made gambling much more accessible.

That's disturbing if true that the number has increased. I said "if true" because it's never certain, this is just a rough estimate, but what we can be certain about is that it is far from being the majority. Problem gamblers should know that it is not normal to be a gambling addict, and it's not the online gambling to blame but themselves.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 10, 2023, 10:56:10 AM
..
Do you know why many people think that affiliate programs do not work and they are a waste of time! Because they tried it and failed to gain any profit from it.
They failed but this is not because those programs do not work, rather, it's because the don't know how to make them work.
Most of them share their links on popular groups, forums.. but they forget that most of the followers of those groups are not interested in gambling. They Wil simply skip your link and even if some of them will click on the link and register on the casino, only one or two will make a deposit.
But if you target a gambling community, even if it's smaller in numbers, then you will have better chances to get more loyal referrals
So many people fail in running affiliate programs, and it's because they haven't found a method that works for them. They only know how to spread their affiliate links on forums, popular groups, or social media, but they may not have found good ways to promote, so they can't make money from affiliate programs. It will depend on what you want to promote, where you share the affiliate link, and what methods you can use. One has to keep trying and looking for ways that are different from others so that it can make them successful in affiliate programs.

Maybe this is really what we have to do, keep trying. I, for one, have dropped the idea years ago, but seeing your post I started thinking "Why not?". I have almost 3k followers on twitter so I can try to spread my ref link. But this is what happened:

I tried several times with the same result. Maybe twitter won't allow you to tweet your ref link? After adding a space here "https: //freebitco.in/~" it worked, but then it's not exactly a link, right? There are 6 views in the first 5 minutes. Let's see how it turns out.

I've been playing on Bitcasino.io for years, and based on my personal experience and feedback from many respected members of this forum, I can confidently say that it's a reliable gambling platform where you can play safely without fearing being cheated. Moreover, if you win, you can easily withdraw your winnings.

Although I'm currently experiencing difficulties accessing the site, I would prefer to troubleshoot the problem and continue playing on one of my favorite sites rather than registering on a shady one.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: July 10, 2023, 08:45:14 AM

Yes it's true, but it's always like that with skill-based gambling, be it poker, sports betting or whatever. Your probability of winning can be high but your win is never guaranteed. Can AI better than us humans in calculating the probabilities? I think it can. And you are right, it heavily depends on the prompt.

I wouldn't rely too much on AI predictions simply because if it were anywhere to churning out accurate predictions right now, then, we'd have had an influx of new millionaires / billionaires and most bookmarkers would simply go out of business. Maybe for skill-based games rather than sports betting considering the fact that getting recent data to train a model would not be an easy task.

I've always viewed it as a tool to stop some repetitive tasks and it can be best used right now as a tool rather than a standalone system.

Getting all the recent data would definitely be not an easy task. In fact, if you could it, if you could get all the important data, you wouldn't need an AI then. But I think with a proper prompt you could make the AI do the job. The job that would take hours for you could take seconds for the AI to perform. At first creating such a prompt would not be easy. But when it's done, you can use basically the same prompt(with small corrections) all over again.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: July 09, 2023, 01:27:54 PM
Getting negative results most of the time is absolutely normal thing for slots. We play not because we expect winning with every spin, but because we hope to hit a high multiplier. This is how it is with high volatility slots.

That is exactly the art of playing slot, every single spin has the chance to win various multipliers starting from zero  Grin till the max multiplier in the game. Unlike other games where the possible outcome is fixed as we can set ourselves such as dice, roulette, crash, limbo, etc. This is also my main reason why I do love slot than other games. Although there are some other games where there are some possible outcomes in single bet such as plinko and keno, but I still think that slot is better because it has more possible outcomes and bigger possible multipliers.

I think everyone would agree that plinko and keno are boring compared to slots. Slot providers spend a lot on animation and background sounds and music, and they do it for a reason: gamblers are much more attracted to slots than to plinko and keno. If plinko and keno were generating the same kind of turnover as slots, no one would even think of spending so much money on creating slots. But people want to be entertained apart from having a chance of winning.

Throwback to that one time when @Trainwreckstv almost got the Gates max win in the baser 🤯

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1675457286242979842

Winning more than $2 million is sensational indeed.

The multiplier we can get on some slots are mind blowing, that's why we love playing them so much. We won't win millions because only a few of us can afford such big bets, but we know that even with the smallest bets it's possible to win thousands. And I want to say that winning tens of dollars, like I did participating in the ongoing challenge [Over $3,000] Stake 3 Slots Challenge | Week 150

also feels good. Smiley Try your luck, guys. It's less than one day left till the end.
1912  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 09, 2023, 11:13:28 AM
You cannot expect to make use of a casino for your own profit maximization alone without being considerate enough to see them also making profits through your own mistakes when you're gambling, and this is both balanced by all means as the gamblers and casinos have the two experience common, the money we make use of is what serves as the gambling stake and a ground for the bet to take place with a effect, if you don't use money to gamble then you're doing other things similar to gambling but entirely different from gambling.

Maybe not entirely, as @STT rightly pointed out above, there can be some similarities. But by its main definition, gambling is to gamble is to play games of chance for money. So, if there's no money involved, it's not exactly gambling, let's establish that.

Yet, I wouldn't advise current or former gambling addicts to play such games as in the OP.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 09, 2023, 10:37:43 AM
If you are talking about conviction of a presidential candidate, or even ex-president to be fair, then you are talking about a terrible historical moment of a nation. No nation should ever have a presidential candidate that is a convicted fellon, plus not something they did as a president for sure. If a person did something that makes them a criminal due to a crime committed thanks to being a president, that is a historical problem. I am not saying he is guilty, nor am I saying he is innocent, I am saying in both cases this is terrible. If he is guilty, you guys have a president who used his presidency to commit a crime, if he is innocent then you have a president who is being scapegoated, there is no "fine" result in the end, one way or another, its terrible.

Let's let that amazing statement slip, "in both cases this is terrible". The situation in the USA is terrible in any case. Well, isn't that just f⊂cking amazing? Grin But, let's not dwell on that, shall we? We are not in the Politics & Society section after all.

What I see in your post is that Trump has very small chances to be elected. It's not like around 30%, as we could conclude from the current odds

but much less than that, and so, we shouldn't bet on him with these odds.
This is quite surprising to me to see that Donald trump has little chances of winning. I don't think so because Donald was once the president of the United States and during his time life was easy and the US economy was cool and even has reserves. Now that Biden is the president, minimum wage had increased many times making life more harder to those who can not afford food and other basic amenities. The Biden regime is never funny at all and it is leading the United States into world war that could destroy the world. This next election that is coming up, Donald has high chances of becoming the president.

Are you saying this because you are the citizen of the United States, or you just heard it from the propagandists you watch on your home telly?

Donald Trump is a disgrace to America according to most Americans, and that's why we have those odds: gamblers, even if they are totally apolitical, they just don't think Trump can be elected next year.

I do not even know why Michelle Obama is an option there, as far as I know she has not announced her run for president and even if she had intentions to run, it seems that within the democrat party there is already an agreement on Joe being the main option to face whoever gets elected on the Republican side...

The odds look good enough, imo, though.

Maybe that's why we have such odds. Basically, your chance of winning your bet placed on her is less than 3%, right? It's a very small chance. And, w hy it's there at all? Well, there's a lot of time ahead, things can change.

~
However I'll love to know the name of this site so I'll make my predictions at the right time when it's suitable for me because I feel there are still other candidates that are yet to declare their intentions publicly.

also, Sportsbet.io is accepting them:

I don't know about other sites, but the key is to look for Specials/Politics in sports betting section of any gambling site.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 08, 2023, 10:27:44 AM
~
You are right, indeed that is not a good reason for gamblers to cheat because the Odds given by the casino are only based on the winning percentage.
If those who have a high chance of winning must have low Odds, it is hard to just assume that everything is unfair.
After all, the house always wins in gambling, so we can't expect to always have a win.

The right choice if it's better to leave the casino that you feel is cheating and choose to move to another casino, but if you want to make an allegation of fraud, we must be able to have accurate evidence and also the right statement for what accused.

I was talking about it in more detail earlier, but in brief: "The house always wins", doesn't imply every gambler always loses. Let's not forget about that. Smiley

~

It's like I killed someone because I suspect he killed one of my relatives or tried to kill me. Even if it's proved that someone killed your relatives or attempted to kill you, you still cannot kill someone. There are laws in each county. You cannot make a decision based on just suspicion. You should have some proof to claim that he is a killer and should be punished.

Now, we don't know if some casinos were cheating on us. It's not easy for players to cheat a casino if they do not have some kind of bonus. If you find a loophole where you cheat the platform, it's not ethical to use it to take advantage. In this case, you are a cheater.

Yep, that's what is very important to understand.  The life of a cheater is miserable in many ways and the money you might get by cheating is not worth it. Evolutionary this world has become a place where cheaters don't prosper.
1920  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: July 08, 2023, 09:46:47 AM
I don't know why some people in this platform are looking for what to eat at the moment, not know that they can invest in a potential projects that will put food on their table, and they will not lack what to eat and what to spend in future. I saw some message in the Bitcointalk.org where some users are trying to sell their account just to get what to eat not knowing that they can use that account to work to get a huge capital that will bring them out from poverty, and make food surplus in their home. I knew some senior members in this forum that started using member rank to work before they get to legendary to spread many investments around the country, because they didn't look for what to eat at the moment than to work hard to used their opportunities to invested in BTC before they became who they are today.
Will you invest now or you will be like that person that is looking for what to eat? It will be favourable if you can change that attitude of selling what will make you great in future just because of what will survive you at the moment. No way you will invest in BTC today and you will not have something good to eat because, investment is like a seed planted in a due season to expect something good in the future. Is it a good thing to invest or is good to continue looking for what to eat?
What do you think.

I think if you don't have what to eat, you should be looking for that first. It's easy to say  "Look for what to invest, not what to eat" if you are living with parents and the problem of what to eat is usually solved by opening the fridge. But there many people living on their own, and should spend their money on the rent on what to eat first of all.

But I agree with you regarding selling bitcointalk accounts that it's not a good solution to the problem. If you don't have time to make many posts, then just make one post in a week, but keep your account, don't sell it. Firstly, it breaks the rules of the community. And secondly, being a reputable member of bitcointalk can be a huge deal in the future, and then you will regret selling your account.
