Ghana announced they would seek to purchase oil in gold

Ghana produces gold, thats quite important part of that statement in terms of trade balance its always ideal for a country to be able to swap what it produces for the goods it imports from others.    The problem with Dollar as a global currency is that its external and unregulated its flow leading to great constriction and pressure for countries especially outside of the oil trade.   Oil is especially tied to dollar along with a few other things like Finance which backs government debt and is highly subsided for that purpose in many countries.
Unfairly many countries suffer by just producing normal goods not always in demand for dollars in those key ways.  I'm not sure crypto can fix those problem, Nigeria is part of OPEC but has various flaws and troubles ongoing.   Banning any trade isnt really to the benefit of the people so I hope this is a positive for them but probably requires they are part of tech development etc.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 28, 2023, 11:10:29 PM
Seems far too variable to be a proper sport or for betting on beyond fun.  The ear damage factor is real and probably people should be wearing protection for ears on the basis but I guess it wont happen because it would look wrong.

1923  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Start of a Bull Season on Bitcoin? Or a Trap? on: January 28, 2023, 08:41:53 PM
Its not a trap especially but a reset is completely normal at some point.   There is no free absolute upwards price that never goes lower, the real thing to watch how far can we pullback at certain points.

So its above weekly average for this whole rise from year start but for the proper reset would be putting us back to a far more substantial level like 50 day average and that is still 19k.   Thats how to view it I guess, we can easily return to about 20k or 19k and yet that also would not be too big a deal to call it a trap etc.
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible fakeout due debt ceiling not priced in on: January 27, 2023, 11:54:30 PM
Its priced in on the horizon but can always get worse as we approach.  Same for all relatively major finance news, I think 2023 has enough turbulence overall to keep us moderated in price to just similar range to 2022.   That would be positive to some and disappointing to others, revision of prior pricing is a good thing overall but a bit boring compared to soaring to the moon I guess.   2023 will be a consolidation year, necessary to do.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 27, 2023, 10:53:53 PM
Convenience is too much temptation for some, I would recommend asking the casino to put you on a do not fly list for a year to remove the possibility until you have an 'annual' trip be it actual physical journey or just virtually restrict yourself to a brief holiday of gambling.   I get his point about distance and convenience, this could apply to food and alcohol also perhaps, too close and people just automatically use it all up but that is an extreme imo.
1926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 27, 2023, 10:13:35 PM
Its possible but a bullish flag only lasts for so long before lapsing and presumably failing with lower price action.   We have a possible lead upwards but have also gone sideways for 7 days now, the prior flag before this resolved upwards after 6 days so make of it as you will.  I think some correction downwards happens but a singular time frame cant be considered alone for whether we can rise further later on, for now I would guess we need to confirm down to 20k or so maybe.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: January 27, 2023, 07:01:30 PM
Beware your faith in the bull market will be tested three times before the sunrise Tongue    This move right now I could easily predict as being seen as a false dawn as little as a month from now.   I think its start of something but dont jump from one side of the boat to another, its easy to lose balance that way and give up just we finally make proper progress.  Usually BTC shakes itself back and forth many times trying to get people to let go before it really moves, just got to remember its a totally volatile asset that isnt going to do just what we want.
I reckon alot of sellers occur in the 20k prices and it might be enough that we see the teens again not sure yet.
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: January 26, 2023, 11:59:30 PM
There is no absolute right or wrong just keep watching and weighing it up.  Thats why it is a bit of work to have an accurate view, theres a danger of losing patience and just jumping on one side or another; now we will only go down now or its going to the moon.  It is really more work then yes or no, no absolute way to path to either side is there.
How it works more often in my view is we establish a price range like fencing around cattle, the bulls are hemmed in by a fence at the top of that range but also the panic downwards finds itself range bound there too.   When we develop enough, a picture forms clearer across the market and transition to another phase is most likely with a new range of movement possible.

Just means gambling is infinitely scalable as a sector, the ideal product can be sold to all sizes of the market small and large, select and wide population.    It does look funny in the results to have such a large variance in tickets qualifying for the draw, lotteries are popular for this reason I guess anyone can get lucky eventually.

The end of month price is not going to give me my 25k pay off day.  It was always a bit of an outside shot, too much too soon perhaps but we are increasingly sideways to stagnant and BTC is not the kind of thing that can just glide.  Eventually we get the averages catching up and if we arent above we are below, it signifys some decay selling from parties who caught the train to the next stop and will get off if we go slow enough.  Pullback before month end doesnt give us enough time to beat 25k before end month I would guess.   Similarly Dollar index is at the end of its ski slope, nice drop but not losing as much now.    It'll cycle back around I think, hope we get to 30k next try.
1930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 26, 2023, 12:08:10 AM
Nothing is ever new, thats the best stance to have when considering what could occur.   Its not quite cynical its just reasonable that history has a worth too.   The pattern of what will be is quite sure to reflect the pattern of what has been.    When we can see a bias upwards its fair to be more positive but theres always repeats and its reasonable to expect BTC will respect prior volume and hesitate at certain points more then others.

Theres more then enough reasons in this graph to expect some hesitant action around the pricing sub 30k.     A big factor by itself is we approach the initial sell-off low, at first 27k was a sea bed when we plunged then we found a further crevice to go lower Tongue   If we're emerging again, heres where there is some volume and time likely required to push back and forth finding and weighing up strength in BTC vs various sellers.
Theres always words and stories describing a situation in an asset but the graph with just numbers also has a story and I think we do move in circles here for as long as is needed to thrash out weakness etc.

1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Brady's Gambling and HUGE loss. on: January 25, 2023, 11:51:19 PM
The most important use for money is security so the lack of it can alter things dramatically in life.  Which is why we never exceed a budget beyond gaming, dont rely on one bet paying off to be ok.
I think in this case Tom Brady will be fine, he has his skill and knowledge and can keep using those for years to come in one way or another; he himself is a resource in demand & with a long career imo.   Even if he has nothing now, he has enough to make a living far more then most .
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Pumping After The Arrest of Sam on: January 25, 2023, 11:36:26 PM
Its news parallel, correlation not causation or something along those lines.   The way it could be phrased is exhaustion, theres only so many idiot scenarios to fuel the negative jet engines.  When they die, we stall in that momentum downwards.  It really does not mean we now have to go upwards and all is well, we can react upwards and that move too can sell after some period.
Sam is not part of BTC is how I view it, I know he is in this universe but really its not enough to be important for BTC every day doing what its done for ten years; does he matter in that context no its just another sideshow.

Navi have between now and then to counter strat that match, maybe its all down to their coach to determine the next match result between them.     The only highlight I saw from that match is Niko getting killed three times in a row through smoke without being able to do anything about it.   Kudos to him and the team not losing it that point and struggling to a loss.
Navi are not on their top performance for whatever reason, when or if they get that back I dont know theres extenuating circumstances clearly
1934  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC bulls back? on: January 24, 2023, 11:34:45 PM
People forget the price can never really stay simple or it would be handing out free money in some way.   Its a slippery snake that arcs back on itself often, we will not go down continually in a simple way.   If we only went down we could all just get rich with a leveraged short, easy money.   Too easy, the market overcooks itself even when going down and this unfolds.
We are up right now but dont have a doubt we will have future troubles and storms ahead, theres no way 2023 is pure bullish.   I wish it would be but the only real question is when we pull back, what is the quality of any pull-back the strength either side is not equal to numbers there is always some extra bias.
1935  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: January 24, 2023, 01:09:14 PM
Unfortunately not every area will have the benefit of stable electric supply, this even applies in some of the richest countries depending on the terrain.   I think business can sometimes reclaim costs for loss of service, more so then consumers are allowed but there is likely limits on this.  Ultimately it would be about insurance coverage and other provisions.  I do wonder why every business does not try to avoid being reliant on mainstream power companies, we've seen massive rises in cost even if the provision is good its costing too much.
Any possibility of solar or any other form of electric not subject to spike in price is worth the investment for security in multiple ways.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Modern Midas on: January 23, 2023, 11:58:36 PM
I think all lottery winners should be allowed to stay entirely silent and anonymous when claiming.  It can be dangerous to be known as 'rich' which may not even be that rich after considering taxes but the publicity of having a picture with money figure by your head is like a wanted poster in the old Wild West dead or alive doesn't matter people will come for you.
I dont know I would but would be quite tempted to donate a large portion to a charity instead of receiving it.    At the very least people should put it into trust fund of some kind where you cannot be held at gun point to give it over, who wants that amount of pressure plus add in that the vast majority are simply awful with handling large amounts beyond their weekly pay check.  Just pressure non stop from winning, so ironic
1937  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin threatened by digital dollars? on: January 23, 2023, 11:47:54 PM

introducing the digital dollar

Dollar is already digital, doesnt take too much consideration beyond that.   The vast majority of currency moved around, that exists in total will never come close to being physical.   Many dollars are just shifted from one government balance sheet to another, they barely exist in the real economy.  Its part of what makes QE the castle in the sky it has been for over a decade now, the impossible dream made real.

BTC is entirely different from how the dollar is operated, past present and future.   They wont ever change it to properly reflect an equal capitalist standard, its not going to be a contender for anything transformative.   Its not on their agenda and I dont see how it will occur organically, its a top down system for 'the greater good'.   We had people attempt to construct national digital currency, didnt work as it purely a top down construct so there is little point in wondering about digital anything as digital is not new in that way.  We are digital right now, many countries are.
The speculation is just on when does Dollar dominance, existing since Bretton woods post war and much eroded does in fact fail, when is it too much and can we get any sign beforehand to get out of the way of the damage.
1938  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 23, 2023, 11:24:32 PM
It could be described as a relief rally, relief from the continual downtrend we had prior.    Just not selling all the time and the continual negative momentum, that cessation could result in a bounce in price for sure.   Not sure I would call that false exactly, its a reasonable effect seen many times over.  The question is how much of this positive mood and gains last over months not just weeks.

I wanted to look at the origins in this area, over 2 years back now.  The highs of the past summer might prove more important first of all, with a 200 week and 50 week average colliding around 25k it seems possible caution is the best approach.   The actual average isnt the resistance more of a red flag of a turn around, 25 or 27k I think could be the top of this move.  Overall I think we do ok so long as any pullback isnt too harsh, the selloff can be a positive to flush out sellers.
Overall I dont find the move fake but unproven till we pass that retest or pullback however you might phrase it.
1939  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: January 23, 2023, 11:16:51 PM
Linking the burn to revenue and net profit is smart, thats really big.  I guess its not guaranteed but certainly feels like it should elevate the estimated worth of holding such a token.   For such a large long standing successful website, if they were to regular burn in this way it would seem quite certain to create a spiral upwards in value long term.    So long as BTC and just the idea of gambling on stuff continues I see much less doubt is justified on a hold.   BTC is long-term so a year lock though not exactly convenient its really not too much to consider imo, think I will do this a bit more then I have been.
1940  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 23, 2023, 10:18:22 PM
Upto logic on adverts is common.  It used to be there was no immediate benefits to holding FUN token then they speeded it up a little but still the full blown membership type deal isnt there till its been held a year.    Its on purpose to have people earn their dividend a little or we might have people juggling them constantly which I guess is not conducive to building a market for that token etc.
12.5k is the sweet spot for a first try at holding I think, its still quite a small amount.    Has to be said the best value is actually on the smallest holdings, the later entries appear big but so is the holding required so as a ratio the most is gained just holding a little amount.   Again its to encourage people to put their toe in the water I guess, any regular user should hold a little imo

1hr left to bet on price end of month, I think this time its a little more exciting.  Definitely a good trend in play but would it hold till end month.   We could reverse but imo we mostly stay positive in a similar fashion for Jan then any proper negativity is further out and hopefully not at all Tongue
