1921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Fit to Talk English project on: May 12, 2018, 09:37:47 PM

Why was the project not supported by those who needed it, and what can I do to improve the project?

If there is little interest, should I just leave it to fade away?

If it is not harming you monetarily then I ask you to let it run.
Even it help a single person in this forum then let it run, do not worry about traffic.
(Sorry, I registered but never login, spending most of time in board 6.0 of this forum, so this thing somewhat slipped from my list )
1922  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Using Lightning Network microtransactions to help website/network security? on: May 12, 2018, 09:00:31 PM
Regularly when I log into my linux server as root I'll see how many login attempts occurred since my last login. In a day it is usually around 50-100k attempts. Of course they'll never get in because I don't allow root access from outside. But what if there were a way to start implementing LN microtransactions at the firewall level, or at least any login attempt? Sending some fairly insignificant amount of bitcoins every time you log in with a simple browser or client interface that you might not even need to click when you try to get to the site. Set it up the first time you visit and you're all set. Anyone requesting access has to pay (something like 1 bit) regardless of where they're logging in from. Something where over the lifetime of your access you may end up paying 10 cents.

But for hackers or DDoSers, they have to pay thousands and thousands of bits to just attempt to hack the site. Over time that would add up for the hacker and make it costly to be a hacker.

50-100K amount of attempts? What server you are running I never thought of that on average so many hack attempts are made for a single server.
But I like your idea very much , more  they made the attempt to hack , more money you will get. Instead of doing micro transaction , I will suggest to take something like 10K satoshis. Either hacker will spare your server or you will start grossing 5BTC daily .
1923  Other / Meta / Re: Liar exposure, stubborn and shameless! on: May 12, 2018, 06:17:29 AM
I think all are Newbies account, so tagging is not much of help as more "Newbie" accounts are created.
Now I understand why mails shows the "Big Warning"  for the mails coming from newbie.

Better if Theymos/Admins can ban the IP address but since there is no official rule in forum that ban the account sales so technically this is also not possible.
1924  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk vs marinecoin? on: May 12, 2018, 06:03:31 AM
I would like to speak to the bitcointalk owner/mods on why they took a harsh stance on any posts regarding marinecoin.  Are they threatened mtc was the only crypto to every have the top marketcap spot over bitcoin.

Users promoting marinecoin are retards, They are promoting it any thread, even it is not related to crypto (hijacking the discussion).
I am happy if mods taken strong stance on it.

If you want to see the proof then below is proof for you where they just posted there unwanted promotion without any relation to topic.

1925  Other / Meta / Re: Will the forum protect a member from threats ? on: May 12, 2018, 05:40:56 AM
Hypothetical question: A member reports some major abuse going on the forum by another member and starts receiving threats on his personal contact details. Will the forum protect the first member in this case ?

When forum do not ask for personal details, then how another member get your personal details?
one basic question for you.
If you got threatening call do you go to service provider or law authority?
1926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can drop again 7K zone. on: May 11, 2018, 03:54:51 PM
I do not think BTC price can be analysed by TA. I followed TA some point of time and look like all TA analysis are failures.
One more difference I find in crypto and traditional share market that coins are mined regularly that is not case with traditional shares that you create 12.5 shares of company every 10 minutes.

You cannot predict how this newly created 12.5 shares will be sold.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ [ANN] Goodomy - From the Creator of the first ICO - May 28th, 30% token BONUS on: May 10, 2018, 05:18:36 PM

It was never a whale bonus, but I suppose it could be perceived as such if the minimum is 1M. 50,000 is a much lower number, but it's still large for some.

Here's what I assume...

A) At least 15% of people who receive the reward will convert tokens to GOOD $; and
B) A further 70% will hodl; while
C) the remaining will want to sell their reward but won't be able to until there is far more volume; and
D) Some on the sidelines may be prompted to participate in the Shopomy economy

Assuming 15% conversions, at the current exchange rate this would represent an additional $72,756,680 in the Shopomy economy, distributed around the world from what would probably be productive and enthusiastic users. Not within 2-6 months, but more or less overnight.

To buy 50,000 good token is investment of $500 and I am following this token for a couple month and its average volume in Coinexchange.io is around $250.  I do not think even after your announcement of 35% bonus caused any stir for purchase of this token.
so 15% conversion will bring 72 million dollars (as you assume) or will crash the price at sub satoshi levels (as I think.)
I do not know what I am missing here?

if you want to rewards early investor, they automatically get rewarded when company/product become valuable.

I'm still inspired by McDonald's and how they have done things from the start. To use an analogy, this would be like the corporation providing $1M to each of 500 franchise owners for them to make improvements and come up with inventions like the Drive-Thru and more efficient systems. They'd be injecting their franchise owners with passion, rather than using the $500 million to give everyone a free burger. Most people want the free burger, of course, because they don't understand how it's better to give to franchise owners so they can benefit from Drive-Thrus later on.

Might be  McDonald benefited by Drive through (But they are surely not the one to invent it.)
I still feel you have good concept/product but still is not reaching to masses. I think instead of giving bonus you can use this for marketing.
Like $5 worth of Good token for downloading shopnomy app. or use of signature campaign here.
I think this will help to reach crypto masses easily here in turn we can reach there family and friends and ultimately to masses.

Current scheme ask for minimum investment for $500 for any bonus and cryto currencies are too volatile, and if price crash then this 35% bonus means  nothing. I Will suggest to reach more to masses with the funds you currently set asides for bonuses.

I wish you all the luck.

1928  Other / Meta / Re: BUMPING??? on: May 09, 2018, 08:47:17 PM
I already tried refreshing my page but still I've been seeing Bumped Threads all over the Meta Section. What the hell is going on here in our forum? First the less actions of the MODs and DTs on the reports, and now this? Almost all of the threads in the first page of the META was a Bumped Threads.

Oh god why, it seems that the MODs and DTs have been tired of this shits, that's why we're seeing more shits even now. I hope the new forum will now soon emerge.

I think you are looking for below solution.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0;sort=first_post;desc;

Here board=39.0  is Beginners&Help Board. So you need to add "sort=first_post;desc;"  only , after you reached your desired board.

1930  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Compliance Discussion on: May 09, 2018, 12:36:14 AM
You want tax declaration form, Do you know how much sensitive information it contains ?( Like SSN).  I think you are breaking compliance by asking  these kind of documents.
You need to contact subject matter expert attorney, instead of assuming anything.
Why the hell I will give you my tax documents when you are lurking behind online I'd.
1931  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: May 08, 2018, 05:36:54 AM
Question :How are blocks created?

1. You have a market root
2. You know the networks current difficulty (4 bytes)
3. Nonce, incremented when mining (4 bytes)

I guess, you want to say Merkle root.
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin Cash is TRUE Bitcoin," Roger Ver and Calvin Ayre Declare on: May 08, 2018, 05:22:56 AM
That's why they are doing free air drops. Desperately trying to prove deceive people.

Those who got mindset that B cash is gaining value and will become more valuable with time , I do not know, why it reminded me this
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where is the tech? on: May 06, 2018, 07:17:42 PM
On this forum exist a thread about development tools in bitcoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0 , if you want to learn something new in blockchain technology you must join in a public group on github. I think that forum created for popularization bitcoin, not for altcoins or something another in information technology because most of people haven't knowledges about development. I guess exist closed threads for technical discussion.

What a irony!!. I just mentioned  their is lot of non-believer in the forum and just caught one.

Edit: OP , Please lock this topic, I think reading responses on this topic will make you more sad.

1934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How will my tokens become coins? on: May 06, 2018, 06:55:53 PM
I think you all guys are wasting your time in explaining Bitcoin,Altcoin etc to OP.

If I got him correct, OP just want to know he got some bounty tokens and how he will get coins (OP local currency) in lieu of these bounty token.

OP, you will get your coins when these token hit the  crypto exchange. Other wise they are the worthless.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where is the tech? on: May 06, 2018, 06:47:54 PM
hi there

i am really getting bored. i am interested in the tech of all these altcoins too. but in this subforum nobody is takling about it.

ICOs, bounties or airdrop, how to get rich fast, investment short or long term, bla bla bla.

arent there any news about technology of all these coins that are out there? do i have to leave and find a new forum?

Because 90% of them are created just to scam the people only.
For most of the altcoins is , typical roadmap like below.

Complete the sale or ICO to raise XXX amount.
Develop wallet (android , IOS or Windows)
Listing on Exchanges.

Listing on exchange is last target , there is no use case before creating token, It is not there to solve any problem. It is just created for cash grab so how can we can find any technology there.

Even for some old coin, they are struggling with their development, look like it is part time job for them that they do on their whims.

More than half of forum is bounty hunter that want to collect bitcoins in bounty(because bitcoin has gained quite in monetary value) but they themselves do not believe in bitcoin and no interest to learn it.
When they can earn this bounty by just doing shit posting then how you will find them talking of technology?

Edit: I came across with this interesting whitepaper, might you will like it.

1936  Economy / Reputation / Re: Signature Designers exchanging merits on: May 06, 2018, 02:34:33 PM
Looks like that people now come to that point that they started reporting /creating thread for each merit given and looks circling in loop.
With such Merit toxicity in forum , I do not think anybody now want to send and receive Merit from not well known member.
I agree that Merit is abused and people need to be reported but OP this thread just look that people now stopped using common sense.

1937  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Something I don’t understand about lightning network and fees. on: May 06, 2018, 06:23:58 AM
The debate that shop will use LN or not  is of no purpose if  cost of coffee is $5. (or whatever amount in any fiat currency.)
First cost of coffee need to fixed in satoshis and everyday I pay same amount of satoshis to buy that coffee.  (using $5 as example my satoshi payment differ every day).

I do not think business can work on volatile rate of bitcoin (in terms of fiat). First we need the system where everything will be decided to satoshi.(I want to emphasize that first I need to make sure cup of coffee cost 1k satoshi and if using fiat,I will pay what it takes to buy 1k satoshis instead to taking value of coffee at $5 and then finding satoshi payment ).

If used,LN will be fast and cheap (as it will be not using blockchain to write every tansactions ) and no need to worry about international transaction charge, if you travel multi country.
1938  Other / Meta / Re: This user posts always copy-paste ✔ Plagiarism article ✔ 10 Proof inside on: May 05, 2018, 06:45:26 AM
Just report them, simple.

OP is doing that, simple. this is the same report you are talking about, these members should get tagged with reference.

Thanks before. lol.

I was talking about the "Report to moderator" function, what it will happen if all the users open a thread, here in meta section, every day to report thinks like this?

Look like you and OP both are ignorant.
1. It require global moderator to ban and handle copy/paste case, Report to Moderator is inefficient for these cases.
2. We already have active thread to report them "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.260" ,OP do not require to create a new thread in Meta.

Will swap will be automatic on coinexchange.io wallets or it need to be move on personal wallets?

1940  Other / Meta / Re: Green Trust Member on: May 04, 2018, 06:02:10 AM
Does you mean that even though i've my trust in green and i don't have any positive trust from someone in DefaultTrust, i willn't be a Green Trust Member?, any other difference?
Assuming that your definition of "green trust member" is simply a user that has a green-colored trust rating (in most users' trust perspectives), you have already satisfied those conditions. You received a positive feedback rating from Hhampuz who is in DT and now have a corresponding rating.

Essentially, all it takes is one positive trust from a DT member. When there are negatives, it gets a little more complicated but at that point seeking 'green trust' is pointless, for any number of reasons.

I guess that DT member should in trust list of other Members too. If somebody do not have that DT member (in your case, Hhampuz ) not in his created trust list then he will not find you Green Trust Member
