Here is blockchain glossary to address your questions, i found it very helpful for beginners like us :

https://blogchainzoo.com/glossary/

A better glossary/terminology is presented in the forum which is best to me. I have attached the link below. In the bitcoin.org website, I found some glossary which is far better than the link you have attached. For your info, there's no much better guideline/resources/suggestion etc. than bitcointalk forum. It's full of the legend. We are lucky to have a lot of legends around us here.

1923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 05:21:14 PM
Well, we gotta do some financial activities through bank. We can't avoid Bank and #BeMyOwnBank as long as the system is not changed. However, I wouldn't use a bank service if I had alternative which support crypto and related stuff.
Although I'm not using bank services much, I have a lot of reason to avoid bank transaction. At least, still I try to avoid as much as possible. I had a very bad day some days ago. My uncle sent a big amount in my bank account and when I went to withdraw the fund, I had to wait more than 3/4 hours for liquidity problem of bank which was a very bad experience. Why will I give the control power of my money to others? I would instantly close all of my bank accounts if possible.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏏🏏 Mutual betting & MutiBet IN SAME MATCH discussion & active Markets 🏆 on: November 18, 2019, 05:12:42 PM
T10 cricket league is not much popular. To be honest with you guys, I didn't see a single match. I don't think Royse would get much gambler for T10. I have missed the WI vs AFG multibet. I will try to participate in the next match.
Winning such a multibet is much hard but at the end, if someone get lucky, the reward is huge. Is the bet limited to 3 persons? I can't see much interested people till now.

I guess you don't know why people are here? I don't know why you are- but I'm here to learn about bitcoin like mpst other people. Therefore, this place will never be any shitcointalk, it will always be bitcointalk. For your info, the forum has been created by theymos; the inventor of bitcoin, not by any other person.
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 16, 2019, 11:38:55 AM
Innings and 130 run win. It was expected though, Bangladesh used to play poor in the test cricket. They barely perform a match winning in test matches. But I didn't expect such a match, a little more sauce would be good. There was no chance for betting in this match.
If I'm correct Bangladesh once had a match drawn against India, other than this- all the lose was big like this one or even more bigger. This is really stupid for a country playing test since 2001.
1927  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: November 14, 2019, 09:10:10 PM
I would like to add some of my threads here which I have created within last few weeks. Although these threads are very normal for veterans, for newbie like me- I guess it was very helpful.

Secrion- Beginners & Help

2. Child Pays For Parents

Probably I'm going off topic here. You gave me 2 merits here on the Lightning Network discussion but I was expecting an explanation from the veteran users. I did check everyday but no good luck.
1928  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What is Sweep in Electrum wallet? on: November 14, 2019, 03:58:28 PM
Well, then what's the difference between importing private key and sweeping a private key? What's the need of sweeping in that case.
For instance;
I have private key of the public address "X"
I can import the public address in my wallet since I have the private key. Why do I need to sweep it?
I guess I am not messing up figuring it out.

Moreover, will there be a transaction from the address "X" to any of my address?
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that Bitcoin becomes quiescent? on: November 14, 2019, 03:51:57 PM
If Bitcoin is store of value, it's certainly safe to say it has acceptance. As long as it has the acceptance, a lot of transaction will be confirmed daily. Look at the below attached image. Current daily average confirm is almost 300k, at its peak, it was more than 450k. Within 2130, I guess the acceptance will increase massively, hence the number of transaction as well. Therefore, if people will use it as store of value, people will also use it as medium of payment. I guess the daily average transaction by that time will increase to at least 100x or no transaction as like Satoshi Nakamoto speculated (Thank you Theymos for promoting the brilliant quotes of Satoshi).

1930  Bitcoin / Electrum / What is Sweep in Electrum wallet? on: November 14, 2019, 03:37:29 PM
I never noticed this "Sweep", just notice this while I was trying to learn some other stuffs. What is the use of "Sweep" in Electrum. I guess it's something related to Private key but I'm confused about its usage. It might be a very noob question but for me: It's something I can't figure out myself.

1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 14, 2019, 03:25:10 PM
~skip~
It's easy 500+ is what I think. India have lot of time now that they have settled Bangladesh innings early. With this advantage they can easily take 1-2 days to build up a score of 500.
Indian team will try their best to bat 2 full day and i am sure they don't want to bat again after first inning.
India is playing decently although they have lost one early wicket. Don't forget that the great wall: Pujara is still in the pitch along with another great test genius Mayank Agarwal. Still Virat Kohli is there. Bangladesh performance is too poor to place a bet since the odd is very low. I would put some if it was even more than or equal to 1.10 for India. 1.03  Angry Angry

Well, if India can bat tomorrow, I guess the score will be more than 400 which is enough to have an innings win  Cheesy match will be ended within 3 days.
1932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Need Advice on: November 14, 2019, 10:36:16 AM
It's not that easy as you are thinking. You have to spend time, learning stuff how things go on etc. It's best to utilize your skill. I would suggest you offering services like-
- Community Management for French/Arabic/English
- Translating
- Writing Articles

Offer your services some good marketplace: Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer etc, but at the beginning you will not get work instantly, there's no quick money making process. You have to wait, you have to explore yourself. After that, you will get some works on a regular basis.

On a side note: This forum isn't a money making machine. You can earn here though, but you know it's a place for learning stuff about bitcoin, cryptocurrency.
1933  Other / Beginners & Help / Custodial vs Non Custodial vs Browser Based Wallet on: November 13, 2019, 01:34:39 PM
Was reading some replies in this topic, seems some people are having hard time understanding Custodial, Non Custodial and Browser based wallets. In this topic, I will try to explain in brief what these three wallets are.

Custodial
These are like traditional banking system. You are storing your money to a bank. They are holding your money, when you need, you can withdraw or send others. But everything is done by the bank, everything is under control of bank, they can anytime have a review on your financial activity, can hold withdraw request and your fund for certain time. You have no control over your money.
Custodial wallets are also same. You are holding your coins in a bank. You are not the controller. For example, you can use Coinbase for everything but they can anytime hold your withdraw request etc. In a word, you are not the controller of your fund.

Non Custodial: Web Wallet
These wallets give whole control of your wallet to you. You will have a private key, you can import the private key in your desktop wallet. Your funds are holding by the wallet owner of course but they are giving you the power of control. Even if you lose everything other than the private key, you can access your fund. For example- Blockchain.com

Browser Based Wallet
These are some sort of application which is compatible with your browser. You will hold the credential like private key/seed key etc. You are the controller of your fund. For example- Metamask.

At the end, I would like to remember one more time- "Not your key, Not your crypto."
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 13, 2019, 08:51:28 AM
Oh wow, so he's playing after a gap of 3 years? I hope he makes a nice international comeback.
Never seen this guy before, never heard of his name. I know only one Imran Khan and it's the legend- the world cup winner.
Imran Khan Jr seems to have a good performance till date- 28 wickets from 9 matches: not bad. But he was out of the team, probably because of injury although it's common that Pakistan have/had some good bowlers all the time which might be the reason of his absence.

I too taking it as an experiment to see how it goes. There are risk involved and I would not mind to take it for a small amount at the moment.
Any event for India vs Bangladesh match? I might get interested and put a little to have some fun here. Have you created any topic for that match? I didn't find any.
1935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to withdraw from here? on: November 12, 2019, 02:54:50 PM
I also notice that the OP is not exactly the newest member (Date Registered:   04 August 2019), and it is strange he is asking such a question, especially if it's someone who is about to write "Academic legal paper".
Interesting. I have checked his post history just now. OP seems to have some good knowledge on bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, I have seen some of his posts are decent to be honest. But how can a person with these knowledge is asking such a noob question?
I have checked his early days post, some posts have great quality although his English isn't much good.

Yes, it is. Thank you a lot mate.
1937  Other / Meta / Bitcoin Symbol Thread on: November 12, 2019, 02:19:08 PM
Some days ago, I had seen a thread from the forum ad slots about the bitcoin symbol creation, it was the first discussion topic provably. I can't remember the thread title, hence, I can't find it anymore. Forget to bookmark the thread- in fact, I didn't bother to: it was not much important for me at that time.
For some reason, I am getting interested to that thread. Since these threads are from forum ad slots, I guess someone can help me providing the link.
1938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to withdraw from here? on: November 12, 2019, 02:06:02 PM
I guess you are talking about earning from here and get it into your wallet. To be honest, this place is not for earning bitcoin. It has its history, it's full of information about all bitcoin related stuff- technical, theoretical etc. This is a place for learning stuff about bitcoin. If you are here for earning only, I would recommend you to change your mind. Earning from this forum is just a bonus for us, but the main goal must be to learn about bitcoin and its history. Once you can gather some good knowledge, I believe you can get higher rank and earn some as a bonus.
Most people here join for the purpose of earning some extra money. Although I had the intention of learning about bitcoin, I had started with bounty here which turns into waste of my time. Then I focused on my goal- learning about bitcoin stuff. Before joining here, I used bitcoin for receiving some payment only but now it's a currency for me. I have learned a lot of stuff, well, I have earned too.
Therefore, you must not intend to earn here, it's a bonus. Use this forum as bitcoin school  Cheesy In return, you will get a lot of things, in fact, more than the earning which you are talking about.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 12, 2019, 07:55:50 AM
And the one I am talking about here will have a fixed odd or course. It will be a simple multibet of x number of selection but the options will have from the same match which the bookies do not offer by the way.
So, you are the bookie here. Interesting though. I am not much interested, provably will participate on very few events only. But I think you must consider couple of time before being a bookie, it's subjective to huge loss in a single match. It's not commission based unlike the other one you referred. Anyway, it's up to you. If you continue, I guess you will get some 2/3 regular participants.

India was lucky in the last match because of the 6/7 bowling figure from that that bowler (can not remember his name right now) or we would see a different result.
It's Deepak Chahar. He had a great knock, otherwise, India would lose the match. He took all the crucial wickets India needed badly. It was a great bowling figure, indeed.
1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to burn a coin on: November 12, 2019, 07:31:38 AM
As far as I know, burning coin doesn't require any extra ordinary work to be done. Create an address which private key isn't available to anyone, of course not even you. Send the coins into that address. That's it.
Check this- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=831042.0

If your purpose is to make those coins inaccessible, just send it to an invalid address.
If OP send coins to an invalid address, that will not be transparent, will it be public? I don't know much about it. Burning coin is a regular process to add value to the coin- like Binance do it most often, everything is public. Same way, OP have to send coins to a public address.

I might be wrong here though.
