Price should pump, then we don't know if it will correct or o not. It seems plenty of people is saying it will correct and I have serious doubts, the market is always unpredictable so maybe it goes to 1k instead of correction so good luck with that, I will just hold and watch the show from the sides. Shorters may get destroyed so good luck to you.

Yes it's safe, as in your BTC will be the same amount of BTC and it will not get stolen from you unless you are incompetent in managing your own money. But of course as far as price goes, it fluctuates a lot but that is expected because the marketcap is still tiny.

For poverty to be eradicated 100% it would take more than a new currency, you would need to convince rich people that they can't be that rich, because there aren't enough resources in the world and if we want not a single person to be poor, we have to raise the average global standard of living, that only means the top richest people have to lower their lifestyle, and good look with that unfortunately, they are psychopaths.

Well it's simple,. if you look around you'll see how the majority of people inside all those difficult careers are men. In the engineering field most of the % of people that join are men, it's a fact just look up the statistics. So it's safe to say chances are SN was indeed a man.

It's normal that the mainstream public is reticent to use such a ground breaking technology. Money is the most hard rooted thing on people's brains because they are born into a certain currency and some people go entire lifetimes with the same currency. This is not only a change in currency but a change in how money works.

this has been discussed before. and i think to reach there there is a big obstacle and that is adoption which even if mass adoption happens and a lot of people use bitcoin i don't think it can reach 100000
We will eventually reach mass adoption but we will first have big whales coming in which will push price to 10000. Again I don't see why people is obsessed with mass adoption, it is not even needed to reach a big price. Mass adoption will come later because people are too dumb to use Bitcoin for now.

We are having a fantastic price consistency of 630-650 range and this is very good news since we are consolidating a new floor. Now everytime we go under 600 there will be a bull rush that will push it up again towards that range. In other words its only up from now on.

you are thinking too high. yes it is possible that bitcoin may rise or it is also possible that it may not. depends upon users obviously how they treat this currency.
Users don't matter as much as some people think. People with deep pockets are the ones that will raise the price to the moon, not a lot of users that own some satoshis each. We just need whales to start moving their portfolios to BTC to quickly jump to 10k per coin.

Bitcoin Core should host in bitcoincore.org or something, a blockchain file that gets updated frequently so new people aren't alienated to never use Bitcoin Core since downloading the blockchain from scratch is hell.
But if there was a way to download the blockchain from torrent at really fast speed, it wouldn't be so annoying. With the improvements in booting up times with faster validation like secp256k1 it wouldn't take that long to validate it compared to download + validate at the same time. Im sure there is a way to make it guaranteed to be the real blockchain due some hash checksum or something (to guarantee is not some fake blockchain).
Im just saying this cause I see all the newbs that download Bitcoin Core giving up and using blockchain.info or something.

There are a lot like PIA (Private Internet Access) AirVPN and some other. I have never used a VPN tho but there is a long list to get from, just buy one of the known ones like the ones I mentioned, they seem to be pretty good and fast and have a lot of different IPs.

Signature campaigns are a good way to get some extra Bitcoin, but it's not much to change your life, it's just a small extra, and you will most likely need to have decent English skills and be able to understand Bitcoin at least at a basic level.
Some campaigns can pay you even if you don't know anything about Bitcoin tho, because they will pay you even if you do all of your posting on the gambling section. It depends on the campaign's rules.

Can someone please help me with bitcoin? i have not registered yet and its confusing me what to go for like desktop, web, full etc. I am so confused with this. Just want an account that i can use to receive payments from people. Further i would like to know how safe and anonymous it is.
Thanks
I think online bitcoin wallet blockchain.info is good for newbie. Easy for registration and really user friendly and until now i don't have any issue when using blockchain. Yup blockchain.info it the best wallet to use, as its very safe and security measures are too good, you can expect your coins safe in that wallet, as I am using it since last 2 years, and everything is going fine. But, for new in Bitcoin, which often do not have much yet, transaction fees can be high. So, Xapo's still a good wallet for those who do a lot of transactions, but is not very secure. You can choose whatever transaction fee you want in the advanced section when you click on "send" in blockchain.info. It's best to leave whatever default recommended fee they give up. As far as OP goes, don't over-complicate things. 1) Download Electrum (be sure to save the seed which is the long string of characters that will give you access to the wallet anywhere you are, you just need to download Electrum in any computer and enter this seed and your wallet will appear) 2) Go to Localbitcoins 3) Find a reputable seller near you 4) Buy the Bitcoins 5) Send the bitcoins to your Electrum wallet This is a video tutorial on step 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdVlH9N2oKU

I wonder what will happen when the rocket hits the ignition time. I will try to be at home or at the office and try to tune in on that website and see what happens. I think the price will sky rocket too so we are in for good news soon.

Interest over Bitcoin is about to explode, all the mainstream media is starting to report on it a lot lately. This time a lot of shorter will get burned. There are some know it all smartass guys that think when mainstream media reports you have to sell, but this eventually will not be the case, so those guys will sell and be left out of the game with 0 BTC.
Time to HODL.

I'm still surprised those levels but not to panic.
Well, if everyone was surprised to see the current prices and not to hold bitcoin they have, there is the possibility of bitcoin prices will be down, but I guess to hold it would be fine, and bitcoin prices will surely rise, so keep hold When the SegWit is implemented, there are extra risks as it is quite new. But I will still hold most of my coins. No real risk. Segregated Witness has been tested on the test network for ages now, the Core devs are experts and they are conservative, so this means once SegWit is released, it just means it's solid as hell and it's only going to make Bitcoin better. Can't wait to be back at 700+ territory.
|
|
|
A reasonable expectation is that we will test 700 during the coming days. WE are going to see a big resistance to try to get beyond the 700 and then once we break that, it's free tide up to 1000 dollars. Of course we may test 738 again but I think BTC is looking confident enough to break it.

You're asking a difficult question that can't be answered with a simple yes or no. Bitcoin is a publicly stored ledger; this means that all the transactions are traceable (a lot of people seem to forget this when they say that Bitcoin is truly anonymous; which it isn't). Now if you're asking whether somebody can determine if address X belongs to service Y, the answer is likely yes. Can somebody determine that the answer is owned by you (identity)? It's possible, but much harder. However, every-time your address directly or indirectly interacts with services on which you're registered on, you leave a bread crumb (a trail). For example, if you are registered somewhere with personal details (ID and such), that service most likely knows a lot of your other addresses (expert users could avoid this or at least make it much more difficult).
If you for example use blockchain info service, and create a new wallet for each new address, and use the .onion tor hidden service, then it's really hard that they ever find out who you are. Then if you mix the coins it's pretty much impossible.
|
|
|
I recommend Electrum for newbies. As far as anonymous, it is not really anonymous unless you mix the coins before purchasing something so the trace of your address is broken, then they can't know who bought something. You can use bitcoinfog or helix or bitmixer over Tor for best results (be sure to use the correct onion url) But even if you don't mix coins, it's generally anonymous enough, no one cares about your transactions unless you are moving big money.

I don't know the order but all of them will. The whole point of those services is that its fundamentally a ponzi scheme where they run with your money at any given day. I predict that as BTCgoes up the chances of they running also get raised.
|
|
|
Considering that BTC will reach 1 million dollars within the next decade, that would mean that holding BTC gives you the purchasing power of a billionaire. Not bad at all.
