19321  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Flow: Programmatic Bitcoin Liquidity Loans on: June 22, 2013, 03:39:07 AM
If you are a reputable Bitcoin business that would benefit from the liquidity of preapproved short term Bitcoin loans available from a simple API call

IF....

Where's the THEN?   :-)
19322  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: official scammer request: tealover on: June 22, 2013, 02:41:12 AM
That's why I would never borrow BTC from anybody. The chances of people getting critically injured after taking out a loan seem to skyrocket.

LOL

19325  Other / Meta / Re: franky1 / tortious interference on: June 21, 2013, 11:43:13 PM
Normally I am a strict proponent of free speech.  I have, in the past, defended political speech on these forums.

I support the forum moderators in the mechanisms that have been put in place in order to identify and rid the Bitcoin community of scammers.  These mechanisms have made the Bitcoin Talk forums a much better place.

Now, however, I must ask the forum moderators to decide what I think is a somewhat novel case of someone who has attempted to abuse these mechanisms for his own potential commercial gain.  Someone who has made unfounded accusations in an attempt to inject himself, as a middle-man, into business between other parties.  Someone who elevated these libelous accusations to the level of a scammer request, in an attempt to force his position.  And who has failed to retract these claims when they were revealed to be un-supported.

With the influx of moneyed investors to these forums, a new form of commercial speech has reared its ugly head.  And it is one that, I believe, stands in direct opposition to the ideals that Bitcoin stands for and hopes to achieve.

It is that of the hyper-competitive investor, trolling the forum all day long in search of potential deals, and propagating fear, uncertainty and doubt in order to scuttle the business of his competitors, or even potential competitors.

This behaviour is a direct consequence of the system of centralized money-printing.  It is just one means by which the force of inflationary theft is transmitted, used against and imposed upon those who would otherwise wish to have no part in such a system.  This is especially applicable to the Bitcoin economy.

This crime has long been known in commercial law as "tortious interference," the act of attempting to gain commercial advantage by meddling in the business dealings of others.

This type of trolling, beyond just frustrating forum-goers, creates a toxic environment for legitimate Bitcoin businesses.

It would, in my opinion, be in the best interests of the forum and the entire Bitcoin community to be aware of, and vigilant against, such abuse.

So, unfortunately I must stand here today, asking that user 'franky1' be given a scammer tag or, preferrably, banned from the forums, for engaging in such behaviour.  I think it is clear from the record here, here and here what his intentions are.  These false statements and accusations have already caused me and my projects much reputational damage.

If left to continue, malicious, intentional disruptions such as these have the potential to cause significant damage to the Bitcoin economy by striking at the very root of Bitcoin's economic independence.  I hope that the moderators can be aware of this threat, and can take action or perhaps put some mechanism in place to counter it.

Thank you for your consideration.

Why don't you just answer his questions?   Huh

If you want to be on the public internet, you're going to need thicker skin.   Wink
19326  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCJam collateral dividend question. on: June 21, 2013, 11:40:56 PM
I currently have a loan at BTCJam that is collateralized. I am wondering if I am still collecting the dividends on the collateral that I will see when the loan is paid off.

snowcrashed agreed to loan me and I will give him my steam account and full info as collateral before he send any bitcoins.

Please someone watch this I really don't want to lose my steam.

Will wait for snowcrashed to confirm the loan,we will do it in 3 hours when he is back home probably.

Be careful - snowcrashed is a newbie himself with barely 100 posts.  He could easily take your steam account and run for the $60.   Undecided

You are a reputable member and trustworthy.
Our deal at first was that we deal with a middleman but he doubted that we would find someone here that will be middleman cause they usually just do business.

I am asking you to be the middleman for the trade. He will send you 0.6 BTC and then I will send him the steam, when he confirms that he got the steam you send me the 0.6 BTC to my address.
Hope you can help Smiley

Ok, I agree to that.  He can send to the address in my sig.

19335  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New way to determine btc/usd price on: June 20, 2013, 06:55:55 PM
Since there is no way to determine price of decentralised currency and nobody knows actual value of bitcoin, i have simple, cheap and solid solution. I will tell you what bitcoin value currently is.
Why me? Because nobody before wanted to do this. I know people was trying to apply stock market rules to bitcoin price but it is only simple trick to try to manipulate price indirectly and doesn't work reliably, especially that if prices of stock can fluctuate randomly and its no problem, with money is not good when something like this happens.

But to the topic. Current value of bitcoin is $120 and will be rising stable daily to reach $2000 to end of this year and $2000 each next year. If you see that someone is selling cheaper than this then consider it as opportunity to buy.

This is simple and elegant solution and have one big advantage, that all people can just sit and relax and enjoy they wealth and merchants can do their business without worry about next day value.

And btw. don't forget to switch to XBT (100 satoshi = 1 XBT or 1 BTC = 1 000 000 XBT). Which means today for $1 you can buy 8 333.33 XBT.

Possibly the most stupid post I have ever read. The current value of bitcoin is $120 yet its not priced there at any exchange? Get real.

The current value of btc is what it is traded for. mtgox might not have the volume of old, but it still has significantly the most volume.

$2000 by years' end is cloud cuckoo land.

If you want to buy at $120, since this according to you is the real price, pm me and I'll sell you some at "current value".

Check your sarcasm detector.   Wink
19336  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend 1.9 Will pay back 2.1 on: June 20, 2013, 05:08:23 PM
Next they will be asking for DNA lol but I know its seems like a a big amount of money but I can try to pay back in a week instead of two? I can send a object to you if you request it like a MP3 or something I mean I have some of the cash right here $56 that I will save to send back to the lender.

Judging by your comments and your PMs to me, you're not quite understanding what collateral is.

It doesn't matter how fast or how much you promise to repay.  It doesn't matter if you identify who you are.  Lenders want guarantees, and the only way to get that is to provide something they can hold onto until you repay.

19338  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend 1.9 Will pay back 2.1 on: June 20, 2013, 04:04:09 AM
Ok I how about The interest goes up by 10% up every day after when Im supposed to pay?And what kind of payment are you looking for I can do Visa and Cash but its up to you really.

Thanks for the PM but all the interest in the world means nothing if you don't repay.  Collateral ensures you will pay back and that is what the lenders want.
19339  Economy / Lending / Re: Lend 1.9 Will pay back 2.1 on: June 20, 2013, 03:49:51 AM
Ok where to start?I first came to this site with a Visa people thought I was a scammer so I left that was $128 on it that got scammed and stolen THEN I finally Try starting a Business on paypal account I tried to sell it on here(I shouldve said it was pending money)So I verfied the account then I add $300 plus the $200 on it so over $600 Then hours later my account gets frozen for no reason, after I changed the name with Bitcoin in it then my Bitmit account closes.I am wasting money trying to do a simple task of trading BTC now I am asking for a loan of 1.9 I can pay in 2 weeks as Im getting payed $300-450 by then.

You will need to provide collateral worth at least $250.

If you don't have it, you don't get the loan.  Sorry.   Undecided
