You would think that with all the threads relating to Preorders and the drawbacks, people would have learnt from them. S3s are currently at Preorder status and until Bitmain go back to "Shipping from IN STOCK within 48hrs", the Preorder status remains.

Either way, at the current price of BTC, 2 x 0.74 x $691 AUD, that puts the price just over $1000 AUD therefore attracting an extra $200 odd for import tax.
Id rather wait until the price is dropped to the point where im not paying any more tax that we currently do here. Im sure the same goes for other countries who get raped by the customs.
Also, once the shipping status changes from preorder, when we do order, we will know exactly how much Bitmain is going to declare on the customs invoices.

Simple solution to this problem, would be for Bitmain to sell the units with minimum qty of 1. Surely that cant be too hard for them to do?

i might be wrong but selling two units and shipping them in pairs probably cost them same money as one box. plus what we having now is pre order of units which mining from batch to batch and making massive income just from mining.

Do you have any pictures and do you know if this will work with UK networks? Does the price include shipping?

Yes it will work everywhere but it's currently locked to ORANGE and sealed + bagged. I can open the box and unlock it for 20 eur but it takes ~7days. Shipping to UK would be around 10eur with secured UPS.

Phone from ORANGE in different country than UK will most likely not work. Must be unlocked. In UK orange is tmobile as well.

1951  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a loan of 0.74BTC to purchase a S3 to start building a mega dream on: July 02, 2014, 10:18:59 PM
Hey Guys,

I need about 0.74 BTC to help purchase a S3 miner for me to kickstart my project for megamine business. The term for the loan would be 2 months. Interested rate can be negotiated, as long as it is reasonable i will accept it. I am really hungry for this project to kick off.

I pay you back the cash value of the loan plus the interest in 2 months...

Loan can be repaid anytime within the 2 months with no penalty but the interest is guaranteed. Interest can be paid in bitcoin or USD... whichever the lender prefers.

BTC right now is $479 per 0.74 bitcoin.

Post suggestions here... PM me for a quick response.

Thanks very much
Ken

You know you have to buy minimum 2 units? so u need 0.74BTc x 2

To get miner in hand you need wait another 21 days.
19 to be shiped and 2-3 to be delivered.

how you going to repay within 2 months 1.5BTC?
1952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Paypal blocking funds to ProtonMail on: July 02, 2014, 09:57:31 PM
ProtonMail is a project to encrypt emails data etc.

Just found this : https://protonmail.ch/blog/paypal-freezes-protonmail-campaign-funds/

Anyone else think Paypal is safest way to deal with others?

What business they have to block funds like that?

1954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 02, 2014, 05:46:18 PM
seems many of u dont understand customs can keep your package becouse of wrong declaration in value and even gave u some additional costs for lying about real price Wink
Bitmain had that problems and many packages was returned or held by customs, thats why its no more 120USD but the real price

Are you trying to troll or just cant read?

Did i asked for 120$ on the box or i asked for real value with no bollocks?

Do you understand difference between honest price and honest description and request from any one like me or you?

Im asking bitmain to declare whats in the box the way it should be and the value which should be real; not taken from space.

Seems like bitmain because of issue choose to declare higher price because this way he can pleased customs and units are not returned or seized by them.

Once BTC are in his wallet fuck the customer.
I will repeat that once again: S1 price was going down to level of 0.4btc but i was still paying over 40£ per box. I did paty that when s1 was at level of 1BTC.

Kapisch?

Can you see what i mean? Charge is coming from no one else than UPS and customs but is given thanks to declaration on the box from bitmain.

I'm real fun of bitmain but this game is getting to expensive. Specially for people from UK. Damn you EU.

UK Buyers get ready to be utter stung!!

http://www.dutycalculator.com/

Just done a quick calculation and its nasty over £1200 +

since no one reported yet about charges in uk for customs your calculation is pure speculation. which creates unnecessary stress.

We got stung with charges with the S1 and S2, why wouldn't we get charged import duty this time.

Everyone in the World get stung by customs (except the US if it is labelled right), why should the UK be any different Wink

Everyone needs to accept CUSTOMS charges and TAX, isn't that what makes the WORLD (governments) work Huh

What I mean is. If we're/you're making money then the government (the Crown in the UK) has to make money too Smiley

what an nonsense. did you actually took time to read or just post B'S because you can? did I complained about tax or amount we paying thanks to nonsense from bitmain when they posting items?

example:

at the beginning when s1 was like 1.45btc I paid 22£ for each customs.

Later when they was below 1 btc  was paying 40 something per box.

now ,when s1 was like .39 btc after coupon i still had to paid 47£ per box.

nothing has been done to help us reduce the overall cost of miner even though real price of miner changed significantly.
but when RMA must be done bitmain asking to declare 10$. If anyone asking for something why we should expect different? why not declare real item like server or computer part? instead better be good boy and let's give headache on the other side of the water.

not mention that ups charging you as well what ever they want.  They will not give you receipt even. cash on delivery or fuck off.  Try to ask ups fella to back up charge with receipt. In my case this was end of world for him. tried to explain they don't give receipt.if that's the case why they charging?
bitmain paying once for parcel and we.are paying again. aparently delivery is included within price...

wasn't that bad with s1 as ups and customs didn't knew what miner was. now they know so duty will be charged
but Bitmain have massive influence in that as they selling in pairs which creates to expensive toys. I was ready to buy 8 in one go but will wait for reports from UK Buyers and than or will made order or will look for something within price range in uk already. silly that s3 is not the only charge. customs, ups charge,  psu must be redone to fit s3 or new psu. soon we will realise that to overclock you need change your old corsair cx500 for new with 4 pcie. just saying.

Uk customs and UPS will nail us brothers and sisters.

I can see that bill for UPS before they will deliver.

Damn i hate that as hell.

Bitmain in case of RMA asking to put value 10$ so be nice to us BMAN and do the same....

wow u always pay taxes on UK?? lucky me here we dont  Grin

Yeah i want to get 8 units but i know they will rape me hard.

well, 8 are a lot of units i suppose for customs... they see 8 heavy boxes all for same address... i think its normal  Grin

But if you just buy 2 im sure they wont charge u. Or buy pairs with 1 day between each other so they dont arrive all together

If i will divide that in 4 different orders how many chances of lost/damaged not delivered item i have---->>>>4 is the right answer<<<<-------
And fact is this will not bee cheaper to have 4 times delivered to my house instead of one.
