1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: November 29, 2022, 12:56:11 AM
I don't think stable coins are that safe, especially after the fiasco of Luna and some other stables that depegged. But til a better option is available, it is the best tool we have right now in case of a DCA
We can't judge all the stable coins by Luna. Crypto market is uncertain and anything is possible here. But it is not like that stable coins are not safe. Yes, stable coins are not 100% safe but some stable coins are doing great and we can trust these coins. After all, self analysis and market research are highly recommend.
Stable coins are not safe and should never be held for the long term, some people may believe that the other stable coins still in the market are simply too big too fail, but such a thing does not exist, we have seen many times through history fiat currencies suffering a huge devaluation or simply disappearing, and it is obvious the businesses behind those stable coins are nowhere near as powerful as those countries, as such we need to always be very careful when we deal with stable coins.

Theoretically, stable coins should be safer than other crypto currencies (because those are subject to market volatility whereas stable coin is not) and supposed to be 100% (1-to-1 with reserves on hand) backed by fiat currencies (like USD, EURO) but the issue is, whether issuer is trustworthy and how to verify his claiming.

Conclusion: if the reserves of stable coin are verified by independent auditor, then it is safe to hold in portfolio.

1943  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 28, 2022, 03:04:12 PM
The price of bitcoin will rise again but it will have to wait if the number of investors increases, bitcoin will return to its previous position. Elon Musk is more obsessed with twitter but along with bitcoin elon musk backed dogecoin is also falling in price after elon musk bought twitter, the price of dogecoin rose slightly but like other coins it is losing price again.
And I think actually the price of bitcoin now should have experienced a fairly high increase followed by an increase in altcoins. but unfortunately bitcoin is falling again due to the effect of the mad rush and fear due to the bankruptcy of big exchanges like FTX. fear enveloped all investors. but if elon says bitcoin will go up. then it's not wrong. it's just that we don't know when it will be.

Usually, alts coins perform when Bitcoin dominance start coming down. Current BTC dominance is 40.14% and if Bitcoin stabilizes above 17K , then we will see good gains in alts price.

Bitcoin is down due to  FTX crisis and it won't rise on Elon Musk tweets. It will start performing well when we hear some good news  about CPI and consequently FED pauses interest rates at current level and bear market subsides..
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETHW still survive? on: November 28, 2022, 01:14:06 PM
I know ETHW when the price is expensive and I never thought about buying, unfortunately there was a LUNA case which made me lose a lot of money and cancel investing in ETHW, and now the price is around $3 and I think it's the right time to buy, I'm sure ETHW will rise again.

Your point of LUNA collapse happened because it was built on proof of stake concept ( easy to print tokens on pos as much as you want ) is convincing to some extent but I think FTX & LUNA  collapse happened because of irresponsible corporate behavior and lack of government regulations to control such misconduct and fix it before it happens and millions of investors lose thier life time savings.

I am sure, very soon, we will see tough regulations from concerned authorities to prevent LuNA & FTx like crisis.

100%? No way. I think that's too good to be true already so it's likely fake. Not only that but using 20x leverage is too risky already afaik. There's even users here who lose at 3x leverage.

Such deposits, designed for such risk, do not last long. Trading with x20 leverage is not trading, it is gambling. The one who offers such a strategy does not understand anything in risk management and is a simple rogue in the world of trading. A beginner who thinks that by increasing the risks, he will achieve some success. Any trade where the risk exceeds 2% of the deposit is garbage, and the trader who trades using such a system is a gambler.

It has been proven thousands of times already, including from my own experience.

There is fine line between gambling and trading and this line is broken when we trade with high leverage and eventually such high-risk traders lose their all capital. New traders think that they can become rich over night by taking high risk trade, but this dream rarely comes true.
I think the best strategy to increase your capital gradually in trading is as follows:

1- Use low level of leverage
2-Never forget to use trailing stop loss
3- Use only 2% of trading capital in one position

I see you Are newbie in trading...i make 50%-100% + profit daily with my signals.

Guys you need to understood one thing ...If you cant do it something it doesnt mean that someone else cant either.
I can Do it what you cant becouse i work hard and i learn hard Im deticated in not 100% but 1000000% Im fully focused.

Anyways here is my next signal today

Direction LONG
QNT/USDT
TP TARGET: 160$
Price now: 113.65$
Stop loss: 112$

Enjoy the profit my signals are the best whatever you can find for futures trading.

Thanks friend for sharing trading signals but I think current market conditions are not conducive (because further downside is possible in coming days as trading volume are very low which signifies lack of trading activity & market lacks good news) for taking long position in any coin except Bitcoin and  Ethereum. I prefer to trade in spot market which is less risky.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETHW still survive? on: November 28, 2022, 05:28:52 AM
A crypto fanatic on youtube said ETH pow will survive and many projects will build on it some months ago, I don't remember his name anymore but he is a popular fellow.

To my surprise new projects are still building on the old Ethereum ( ETHPoW ), few of the projects are successful through funds raising but I'm curious what makes developers to keep building on an outdated chain.

Any thought?

I think it wouldn't be easy for ETHW(pow) to survive when all mojor investors have shifted to ETH (pos) but still some crypto analysts thick that pow system is less risky not so vulnerable to hackers. The price action of ETHW is reflecting that market is not much interested in old technology which also consumes huge amount of energy, hence cause high energy cost.

1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum keep its leadership in the crypto smart contract industry? on: November 27, 2022, 09:27:26 AM
The Ethereum blockchain is currently the most used blockchain when it comes to Smart contract, NFT and Metaverse development. It achieved its leadership while it was still a decentralized network.

Unfortunately, right after the merge, Ethereum lost its decentralized feature and is now one of the most centralized cryptocurrency projects in the industry.

Given that we're going through a debate opposing Centralized vs Decentralized, do you think that Ethereum will still keep ahead of the competition? Aren't there a lot of chances of Ethereum being overcome by an alternative decentralized network?

What is your take on this matter?

The kind of huge technological development Ethereum has achieved on its block chain & the big investment it has attracted from big market players; it won't be easy for its immediate competitors to challenge its leadership in the near future. I think the issue of centralized and decentralized will not matter much in future when strict regulation will be implemented by SEC to monitor transactions on all wallets either custodial or non-custodial.
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 27, 2022, 07:44:58 AM
A few days ago, Elon Musk responded to a friend's tweet saying that the price of BTC may increase by the end of winter.  He also asked everyone to be patient.  It means that the future of BTCL is very bright and its price will increase.  We are all waiting for this winter to end and the market to return to its previous form.  InshaAllah the price of BTC and digital currency will return to the previous room thanks

Though he is the top rich person of the world with huge followings on twitter and people used to buy/sell crypto on his tweets back in 2021 when crypto market was bullish but later they realized that he is not a long term investor in crypto and purpose of his tweets is to create FOMO/FUD in the market & take advantage. Since then I don't take his tweets seriously.

As far as  Bitcoin is concerned, it  will certainly rise once it is bottomed out which most of the analysts predict between 13K-10K. DYOR
1950  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: November 27, 2022, 06:02:04 AM
I was also one of  those who were surprised to see Bitcoin falling below its previous ATH because I used to believe that history always repeats itself, what happened in the past, same thing will happen now as typically human psychology never changes and this is what theory of technical analysis is based upon. What I learned from unpleasant events of 2022 that technical analysis only indicate probability to some extent but not certainty of what may happen next and it is more important to keep an eye on fundamentals.

Technical analysis is just a prediction, not a law, which is why I call people like Plan B charlatans. It is impossible to determine and force the price to move as it is shown on some chart. It doesn't work like that. As a long-term indicator, we can only consider the fundamental properties of bitcoin and historical data, but not technical analysis or any indicators on the chart. An S2F model is just someone's prediction that try to pass off as a working pattern. S2F has repeatedly shown that it does not work.

You are right that technical analysis is just a prediction and it doesn't necessarily go right all the time. Many analysts on social media are predicting that Bitcoin will be above $200K after next halving, I fail to understand, how it is possible when Bitcoin adoption is very slow, Salvador tried to adapt it as currency of payment to buy goods and services  but it didn't work out. I am also disappointed with performance of Bitcoin during economic crisis, it correlated with stock market in stead of Gold while both (Bitcoin & gold )are considered stores of value.
1951  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: November 27, 2022, 03:31:23 AM

One thing which changes with this cyclic bitcoin movement is that the bitcoin prices movement in the bull market will not give 5x-8x returns in the coming years. This means that in the next bull run we might see only a 2x price increase from the previous bull market high of 68,000$. I would see bitcoin anywhere near 120,000$ to 140,000$ in the next cycle.

This is obvious because price growth slows down over time. Bitcoin cannot grow at the same rate because the price of the asset requires more and more funds to be raised. Therefore, the difference between the past ATH and the next one will shrink. It's unavoidable. In 2017, ATH was $20,000; in 2021, ATH was $69,000. The difference is x3.5. The next ATH is unlikely to be around $200,000.

Some people are surprised that in 2022, Bitcoin broke the previous ATH, because before that it had never done so. In fact, this was also expected, because bitcoin is slowing in growth, but everything can also lose 75-85% of its value in bearish cycles. I assume that in the future we may be witnesses. how bitcoin will fall below the past 2 ath.

1952  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: November 27, 2022, 12:32:08 AM
The possibility to continue to decline is very large because of the issue that there will be cases like FTX, the current exchange war puts us in a difficult situation, although some exchanges have good plans but as investors, of course, will panic and choose to store assets in cold wallets.
Fud and rumors that are not true continue to be made by those who are not responsible so that they can create panic among investors. But I'm sure that if investors have more experience in investing in crypto, they won't panic easily in a situation like now and they also know what to do in a situation like now. It is different with small and new investors, they will tend to experience panic when they hear rumors and untrue news from other people.

Experienced investors never pay attention to such rumors because they believe in Bitcoin and understand the real worth of it which will definitely skyrocket as soon as market starts recovering. Bull & bear cycles are normal in any market & eventually they end up. In fact, bear cycle provides opportunity to long term investors to accumulate Bitcoin at good price & wait for the return of bull cycle. We should not get panic if Bitcoin slides down to 13K because once it bottoms out, we will see huge buying because there are many big investors waiting for the bottom to take entry.

1954  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people withdraw their generosity during crisis? on: November 26, 2022, 03:02:56 PM
The world is changing and people are becoming scared of the the next man. No trust again and no one is ready to assist anyone..the show of love and unity is diminishing all over the world. Then how would people show genenoisty in Time of problem, when they can help or give assist when you're not in problem?

There is connection between religion and generosity, all religions teach us to help other human when they need it but nowadays people hardly have time to attend religious gathering  , this could be one of the reasons that people don't show generosity during the crisis  but I think people usually show generosity when they are left with something to give it to the people who are in crisis after meeting needs of their own family. The current economic crisis has made the life of common men so difficult that they hardly earn enough to meet basic needs. I am not talking about rich class of our society who are still making money and even during the covid-19 era they made huge earnings and I have witnessed , some of them do funding for charity organization who run free medical centers and supply foods to needy families.

1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: November 26, 2022, 11:23:50 AM
For me now, stable coins are not useful. Why do we exchange BTC/altcoins into tokens like USDT/USDC/UST, or whatever, when they have no difference with fiat? I'd rather convert my coins directly to fiat.
Is it safe? No, because the 1:1 claim against the US dollar is just a unilateral claim. Actually, you have read about it in an article that you include.

Though stable coins relatively less risky as they are supposed to be backed by Fiat currencies, but we can't say that they are 100% safe in particular algorithmic coins like UST. We have seen in the recent past how billions of dollars were wiped out from market within days when UST peg was broken. One thing we need to keep in my mind that crypto highly rewarding but highly risky too so secure your investment/trade buy using all risk management tools.
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: November 26, 2022, 08:39:47 AM
Bitcoin prices are always fluctuating and often unexpected, when we think the price will skyrocket but what happens is the price of drop, I still don't believe that the current Bitcoin price is $ 16K or drops more than 75% compared to ATH that had happened a year ago, but on the side Another this is a good opportunity to buy more, and the opportunity to drop under $ 13k certainly can also happen at any time.

It is true that Bitcoin always makes surprising moves and often plays out contrary to market expectation but such moves are often backed by some good or bad news or any big whale like Elon Mush makes huge  buying or selling. The volatility of crypto market is also an opportunity for smart traders to take buy/sell position at their targeted price and make good profit.
1957  Economy / Economics / Re: Will central banks ultimately fail in their goal of lowering down inflation? on: November 26, 2022, 06:30:35 AM
Lowering the inflation rate and its impact will not fully rely on the central banks decisions. There has to be some tie with the economic factors like asking the OPEC to produce more supply of oil.

That's one of the biggest factor that they have to consider to lower the impact of the inflation. Because when oil increases, everything goes up and it's a major ingredient for an economy to fall and have more expensive goods and services due to high price of oil.

Indeed, it is a biggest factor behind skyrocketing of inflation all over the world but the price of crude oil are more or less stable around $80 which is good news but it should gradual come down to Pres-Ukraine level to see a meaningful impact on inflation. OPEC can play an important role by increasing supply but question arises why they will do it, they are making good profit in the current market situation.
1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: November 26, 2022, 01:39:24 AM
As long as you not sell your coins, you wouldn't suffer losses since it's still an unrealized loss. I think people who invest in Bitcoin didn't really care on the next year where there many rumor that economy will be in bad condition because they're looking for long term holding. Since Bitcoin's fundamental is really strong and Bitcoin has been declared "dead" for so many times, but in the end Bitcoin will comeback and recover. This make they're trust Bitcoin 100%, just accumulate every dip if you have idle money.

You said it right, no matter if Bitcoin hits 13k or even slips down below 10K, you don't need to worry ,if you don't sell it & continue holding it, but we are all human being & get upset  when we see our unrealized loss is growing in bear market. It is better not to watch trading screen daily if you are long term investor.

Though Bitcoin is currently trading above pivot point (16,563) on weekly chart, but trading volumes are low due to weekend, let's watch and wait how it plays out next week.
1959  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: November 25, 2022, 05:43:26 PM
Of course panic always haunts, especially among beginners who have just entered the world of crypto/bitcoin.
it's a natural thing among beginners, because many beginners start investing using borrowed money or hot money.
but for beginners it is true that this is the right time to invest, don't come when you go up and go when you go down.

that's right, friend, but sometimes it's very difficult to avoid panic when the price drops, as is happening now, the price of bitcoin drops very deeply, and lots of people panic, not even a few experienced people panic, but of course people's opinions are different different and of course have their own way to achieve success in investing in bitcoin. but if you look at the cycle it is easy and simple, but in reality it is very heavy. especially if the money invested is very large. of course there will be more panic. especially if the money from the loan, of course, the panic will be even worse.

It is difficult to control emotions when your hard-earned money is at stake. When market is making consecutive red candles, we often book losses fearing market will fall furthermore but market often recovers from its support. This is why it is important to use technical indicator to find support and resistance levels to make entry and exit levels. Though technical analysis is science of probability, not certainty, but it is a tool that often saves you from huge losses.
1960  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Post Oil Personal Transportation on: November 25, 2022, 03:29:46 PM
Let's say that a person uses three 5 gallon jugs for their potable water needs. Is there a public transportation option for them taking their water jugs on a bus? If the wait for a bus is typically 15 to 30 minutes. How does a person buy ice cream. Knowing that it could completely melt while they wait 30 minutes for a bus to arrive. Is there a public transportation option for paddle boards that are 9 feet in length. If a person's pet 400 lb pig was injured in a freak accident, could they rush it to a hospital or vet, using public transportation?

Thing is, people don't typically move huge jugs of water, 9-feet long objects, 400 lbs pigs and so on. And on rare occasions that you need to move something that can't be moved through public trasportation, you can ask a friend or hire someone with a truck. That's usually cheaper than having a car and not paying for its full potential most of the time.

If I had to take a 8 mile trip and had a choice between waiting for the bus. Or riding a bike. There are many times when I rode a bike instead. My main issue with walking is it takes too long. I have walked home from work many times in a 10+ mile trip. The only negative complaint I have is it consuming too much time. An hour and a half or more of walking is too time consuming. A bike or recumbent pedal powered vehicle which can cruise comfortably at 20 to 30 miles per hour greatly reduces travel time. The secondary concern would be cargo capacity. A trailer or cargo space which can comfortably store a good amount of items. while maintaining a good 20 to 30 mph would offer performance similar to a car or truck for short to mid range travels.

Yes, bikes and scooters work great for medium range trips, while walking is suited best for distances up to 2km.

Good idea. Walking for short distance trip is also good for health in the long term as well as it cuts down our medical bills. I prefer to walk to super market ( which is located at about 1 mile distance from my home) to buy grocery items of daily needs and never use any kind of transport.

I think in future recycling industry will boom and they will develop technology  to convert plastic and other waste material into low carbon fuel to use it for transport purpose.
