1941  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mayotrade.com - Ponzi scheme on: July 21, 2022, 05:49:45 AM

Hi,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0

Please check the 4th row of this. There it's mentioned 'Gambling and all "investments" that are so risky they might as well be gambling (HYIPs, pyramid schemes, etc.)'. Please correct me if I'm wrong or if you have any suggestions.

First time I've seen a Ponzi promoter wearing a copper account and defending that his project is gambling related, he doesn't know how to differentiate between a Ponzi Scheme and gambling projects, you can't ever win in a Ponzi scheme if you are a late investor and you are losing money without any return, compared to gambling that you will at least enjoy and get excited on the game, so even if you lose in gambling you are still compensated on your experience, you'll not get anything from investing in Ponzi schemes.
1942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betfury not pay 2.7k$ on: July 20, 2022, 11:52:12 PM

There are good reasons for casinos not to check when there are no win or an account is not making huge profit. A casino has thousands of bets from clients everyday. It's not possible for them to go and check every bet unless something alerts them.

When you sign up for a casino you agreed to their terms of service and rules so they expect you to abide by them and make your account in good standing, if you win its the casino's prerogative to check if the account is clean and there is no violation, you just have to check from time to time that you are playing fair, so in case you are under investigation you will not worry and assured that you can get your withdrawal because your account is clean from cheating and violation.

Gambling is part of Chinese culture. It is seen as the right way to test luck, especially on holidays like Chinese New Year, as well as to get rid of bad luck.
link-

I was quite surprised when I read this article for the first time because they gamble not for money or pleasure but because of the culture to test luck.

this does sound funny but what do you do if it turns out that your culture requires you to play gambling?

Chinese culture is fascinating, yeah it may look funny but if you dwell or understand their belief, these are based on practicality and harmony, they rely heavily on luck in their practice of Fengsui and other ancient practices, this is advice to test their luck and not for them to put a lot of money and gamble everything, I'm sure there is a limit to that test and do not want their practitioners to end up as compulsive gamblers.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: July 20, 2022, 09:15:43 AM

Why do people play in casinos? For the sake of adrenaline? Self-satisfaction?

It should be adrenaline to enjoy the game and self-satisfaction in enjoying the game, not on the amount of money that you are hoping to win.

Quote
For the sake of winning! It is the generous winnings that encourage players to bet in the casino and take risks over and over again in the hope of catching luck by the tail.

This is the wrong way to gamble you don't play to catch your previous losses, you will end up stacking your losses and losses more money until you cannot keep up anymore, forget your losses make every session a new session to enjoy and have fun if you win, you win, feel the game and hope to win

1945  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good gambling tipster on: July 20, 2022, 06:00:31 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFCglrxg_9k

Hey anyone know anything about this guy? Found him on youtube seems to be a good gambling tipster who knows how to beat the casino and sportsbooks. Anyone ever follow him? Thinking of placing a wager on the Warriors based on this advice.

Lemme know, thanks

There are a lot of these on Youtube why pick him when there are tipsters that are better than him and how good are his tips I don't see any comments that praise him for tips, with only 103 followers I don't think he is that good, a good tipster always shows his past tips with good winning average, good tipsters should have a lot of followers, if he is just starting out, you can try him and give us updates on the outcome of his tips.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 19, 2022, 01:12:09 PM
Well i cant put more words, the video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsB15QKz9No&ab_channel=EBDSports

I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets , or anything related to the sport gambling, i know a lot can say its a kind of protest but still really unclear.

What's the story behind the video tell us more it's not a major event that is watched by millions of pf people around the world, we don't know this until you posted it here, its a cause of concern for the organizers, not the sports betting industry, I don't see any damage done in the whole sports betting industry, I don't even know the names of these players, you don't blame the industry because one game from little league committed this rigging of their game.
1947  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Online Casino Directory: newcasinos.io on: July 19, 2022, 11:56:51 AM
English is our second language here in our country but can you correct me is this a type error or a misspelled word

it should be trusted or trusty? Instead of trustly correct me if I'm wrong this is the first time I encounter this word, I google it but the word trusty is the one that comes out.

1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 17, 2022, 02:30:56 PM

I am still hesitant about this betting strategy but my rationality thinks it is possible, at least martingale on blackjack is way better than martingale on any luck/chance-based games. How about you what is your thought on Martingale betting strategy used on blackjack? Is it effective for this type of game?

If it's possible then give it a try but of course, it should be your own choice to try it, so far it's being frowned upon by the community, it's hard to prove that martingale has a good winning ratio on any game of chance or even skill, we have to take gambling as it is, have some fun be entertained don't force your way to win, gambling should be fun so when you got up you feel relaxed and not stress because of the money you lose.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: July 15, 2022, 03:20:35 PM

What is the most expensive thing you've bought with your winnings from a casino or sports bet that you've never used or used only a few times or even maybe regretted buying?

For me, it's a cellphone it has a good spec and is top of the line but unfortunately I only used it for a week as my daughter's phone was broken and she needs a new one for her distance learning I have no choice but to give it to her as I have no more money to buy a new phone for her, but no regret I made her happy and she got good grades she fulfills her promise that she will get good grades if give her my phone.
1950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The google search results for "1XBit Review" are quite shocking... on: July 15, 2022, 03:05:35 PM

See also their TrustPilot account:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/1xbit.com

So many 5 star reviews are being posted there (they are probably fake).

No wonder people fall into their scam.

And Google should be careful about doing what they're doing not only with 1XBit but with other results as well - this could open the door to the fall of that giant company - you simply don't do such things as this will open the door for many lawsuits against Google for misleading information etc.

----------------------------------------------------------------

This thread was posted due to seeing so many complaints against 1XBit, and it seems like they don't stop coming in.

They have the money and the means to influence people to give fake reviews and testimonials, they have a huge budget as we can see here in Bitcointalk they can run two to three signature campaigns at the same time, there was a time all I see are 1XBIT banners on every posts and thread here.

Google just index articles and post by high-ranking article site and review sites and so are the fake and good reviews it's up to people to do their research and use the right combination of keywords.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 15, 2022, 02:33:56 PM
I guess it's more of Asian thingy, so not sure if Western casino's have practice or practicing it because that seems to be odd.

It started in China but its everywhere now, it's very popular even in the western because it's effective, it's harmonious thinking and arraignment of things and being in tune with nature, that's the essence of Fengshui and we have the right thinking we attract luck

Quote
And yeah, it's ancient as the Chinese, it's about finding harmony and balance thru arrangement of objects in a confine space. It could be fall on the category of superstitions though, so we may have our own interpretations or maybe we should believe on it or not.

There are superstitions side to Fengshui but you cannot argue its success on the Chinese and even non-Chinese practitioners, who employ it in their business, so gamblers are also employing they have nothing to lose and it's harmless they just have to change their mindset and belief and arraign and align some things.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 15, 2022, 01:29:05 PM

I read an interesting debate about this topic during the time when I experienced heavy loss in online gambling. I’m trying to seek some reason online to justify my loss and give me acceptance for my loss that time. It didn’t help me but make me confused.  Grin

You are confused because you are not comfortable with your losses, we blame things situations, and events whenever we encounter losses and misfortune, we can actually avoid this if we have the right mindset and we are comfortable with our losses.
play within your means and enjoy the game and accept the outcome and you will not wish that gambling should be ban.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 15, 2022, 11:45:24 AM
2 days more before we can see this much awaited fight and to see if Ryan Garcia has already escaped the issues in his life and that he is now back on track unlike his last fight against Tagoe where he himself admitted that his performance wasn't that impressive.
His performance is forgettable even his fans are not satisfied with the result, although it's understandable it's a comeback back after many months of lay off coming from mental health

Quote
I'm looking forward that this kid, Garcia, can man up his words as he's already calling for Tank Davis next despite having an upcoming fight against Fortuna.

He needs to come out with an impressive result much more impressive than Tank's win against Romero, if he cannot come out its
better for him to shut out and stop talking and predicting he'll knock out Tank or other fighters.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 15, 2022, 09:57:38 AM

I don't find any valid reason why we should not push for a win whenever we gamble.

Throwing away money on that just for the sake of entertainment is a foolish thing to do for me.

I gamble to win, not just for entertainment purposes. There are other ways to be entertained, why waste money on gambling if that's only the goal?

Yes, we should but we should only take it when the opportunity is presented trying hard to win is not only a big challenge but it will backfire, even casinos stated in their TOS that they are for entertainment only and not a site or place where you can make money, so it should be gambling for entertainment first then make money out of it if we have a chance to win.
But there are people who just want to play for the sake of playing regardless if they win or lose they want the thrill that is why I agree that some people are buying entertainment.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 15, 2022, 08:40:35 AM
It looks like all cryptos went down in the past few weeks/months, Bitcoin is down, Ethereum is down.

Among the few ones that actually haven't lost a lot of value are cryptos that represent gambling sites, for instance:

  • BFG for BetFury - they offer currently up to 76% yields per annum on the BFG token that is paid in other cryptos such as USDT, BNB etc.
  • OWL for OwlGames - they offer 43% per annum on their OWL token, their currency has actually went up in value whilst all other cryptos went down - and why? Anyone knows?
  • TFS for FairSpin - not very popular but represents FairSpin, didn't go down in value much either.

Are these things similar to what we had in the 1990s and 2000s before Crypto - like buying "William Hill" or "Ladbrokes" stocks? Is it more or less the same thing just in Crypto?

And why OWL keeps on going up in price? Honestly their site doesn't seem to be very unique or impressive - anyone has a credible explanation who is behind the price rise of that OWL token?!

 Huh
I'm a holder of both Owl and Betfury, and it's two of the coins I'm holding that carry my portfolio in the bear trend, I guess it has something to do with the platform and community support, investors support where they see longevity on projects and since these two coins are gambling-related and we all know that the gambling industry is a multi-billion industry investors made a sure bet by betting on casino based tokens.
Of course, there are exceptions to the rules there are in the past attempt by developers to set up tokens based on casinos but they failed because they just want to make a quick profit and are not interested in setting up a gambling form that will serve the gambling community.
1956  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rocketpot.io refusing/delaying to pay out 170k win. 16K/170K+ Paid so far on: July 14, 2022, 11:52:59 PM

I hope for the OP that he will get all his money, but Rocketpot is always loosing here. Seeing how they handled this case, doesn't give a lot of confidence and with the rules they have for withdrawing, not a lot of big players will be inclined to play at Rocketpot.

Yeah I agree this is a big concern and this issue is attached to Rocketpot as long as they have not completed the payment, unless most of his players and new players coming in are nto aware of this issue, but Bitcointalk has a very wide reach they will find out and will have second thought before playing here, it's better for Rocketpot to play the whole amount and bank on this issue that they resolve to gain reputation, it's a win win situation for both party.
1957  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 14, 2022, 10:57:15 PM
After the global epidemic that started in 2019, there were problems not only in football but also in all sports branches. However, sports branches that appealed to the audience live, such as football, were more affected.

Even if normalization begins towards the end of last season, we are getting ready to enter a season that we can call normal.

In this process, especially for football, I think that the big teams lose more power in general. Because supporter support is one of the most important criteria. This season, we will have a more normal season and I think we can watch better matches. Of course, we may also be entering a more enjoyable period for betting.
The pandemic is not yet over, the world is now adjusting and there is still health protocol that needs to be followed but we are trying to get to where we left off before the pandemic, humans can adjust to any situation, we've seen it in when the pandemic is on it's highest where the vaccine is not yet administered, we still have a lot of adjustment to do and everything is on recovery phase and the live sporting events is more enjoyable.
We have missed so many things we enjoy doing before the pandemic, but life must go on.
1958  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How 1xbit gambling site scammed me and refused to pay winning bet on: July 14, 2022, 02:21:06 PM
I really didnt expect that something like this can happen in 2022

So this year 2022 scamming will be a thing of the past? or where have you been, you can read scams and scams on the internet even in a non Cryptocurrency industry almost every day, your words betray you.

and it gives me more urge to share the story and awful experience i had with 1xbit gambling site (https://1xbit1.com). Everything can be supported by screens of conversation, tx ids on blockchain and others. I have nothing to hide and everything to show.

Thanks for sharing you are part of the hundreds of reports about 1XBIT but yours will not be the last I expect many more reports like this in the future because 1XBIT spends a lot of money on advertising and fake testimonials.
1959  Economy / Services / Re: Poker Courses For Sale on: July 14, 2022, 11:33:41 AM
Maybe @OP can give free lessons on poker first before he starts selling his lessons. Well, it's like basic lessons about poker. He can sell lessons to understand the game. I think it can work for him in a poker game because it is not easy for ordinary people to play it. If I'm not mistaken, I've read about poker games lessons on this forum and this might give @OP some ideas on what to share with us here.

Yes why not it's recommended and it will encourage people to continue buying those courses, we have no idea what's on the course, giving free lessons by starting a thread about Poker will give credibility to what he is offering.

The best-sellers when it comes to courses are those authority figures if you have won using those courses might as well share your tip and your winnings as well, buyers want to buy something that will yield them profit and gambling is one of them.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more uses to deposit. on: July 13, 2022, 11:42:13 PM

This is certainly something that the Gambling companies do have to look into since this will go long way, thus changes needs to be made, What do you think, how important this option is for you?

This is probably the most important option, even though we understand that the house edge will always win and we will play to have fun, players are still hoping to win and they expect to get their withdrawals the soonest as possible with a lot of options to withdraw their earnings.
This is where we divide the line between scams and reputable casinos, reputable casinos make it easy for their players to withdraw their winning, when they want and how they want, compared to scam casinos, where they will delay it and check for loopholes on your activity.
