1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 19, 2023, 03:07:25 PM

And so much more but its seem the world has evolved so greatly and many things we do before, have now been inputed in the internet and its now makes it access alot easier but I had some recent arguments with some folks in my locality that before, gambling physically with people was more fun than doing online in these recent casino that seem to cover all of our old gambling habits but I argued on the latter. So I thought I should drop here and here some of opinion of most advance gamblers with lots of gambling experience.

There's a lot of debate between the two, but it has always been on individual experience, these two will not vanish, because both have their own market, I tried both and they are both great experiences but right now because of the traffic and hassle of work I prefer to play online, but it always a great experience playing in physical casinos you hang up with your friends and enjoy the crowd.
Gamblers should experience playing on both so they can appreciate the feeling and appreciate both platforms.
1222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Fake cloud miner on: March 17, 2023, 03:36:04 PM
whenever I see a cloud scheme, somehow the very sound of that word sets off the "fraud" alarm.
You are right on this, we have already established that cloud mining is fraud and just a Ponzi scheme, they are just good at making it look good and presentable to investors.

Quote
I think you have a redundant word in opening this topic, fake. I'm not sure if there is a regular and legal cloud mining service at all. They all hide behind fake mining.

I agree again, there's no such thing as a true cloud mining site all of them I mean all are Ponzi schemes there are no mining rigs there are no physical machines, all they have are spreadsheets of money coming in and people lined up to receive their payout, of course when the flow of money stops coming in payout will also stop, then they will shut down the site.
1223  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 17, 2023, 01:36:26 PM
I don't know if anyone advertising chipmixer or any other mixer will now or ever face any penalties, but I will say that laws change. Check out these 2 stories involving FTX fiasco.

https://cryptopotato.com/ftx-youtube-influencers-slammed-with-class-action-lawsuit/

https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/ftx-crypto-investors-sue-founder-sam-bankman-fried-celebrity-promoters-rcna57453

I'm sure none of these influencers/celebrities knew they were advertising what turned out to be a scam, but here they are facing possible legal issues.

Anyone can file a suit but it's up to the court to decide if it's correct to include these promoters in the criminal suit against FTX, this is an investment scam, not an advertising-related platform and content issue it doesn't connect, section 230 is still good based on what I research on Chipmixer issue on Bitcointalk until repealed if they repeal it I don't think it will retroactive.
Promoters are still safe when it comes to platform and content but probably not when it comes to promotion and investment issues.
1224  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: March 17, 2023, 08:15:49 AM
I recommend you have a browse through the court document to see the investigation into him (starts around page 28):
https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1574581/download

I do not understand exactly what this document is? The internet address says "press release". So this is just a general document for the press? Or documentation of all the evidence and procedure from the special agent?

In any case our forum are very common there. The word Bitcointalk ist 14 times represented.

In a democratic like the United States, all court records are public records since there is a case number I consider this the official documentation of all pieces of evidence, this is the first part and we will see more when they arrested the owners and criminal procedures start and end, this is a landmark case because the US justice and prosecutors will investigate the full responsibility of mixers on money laundering.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 16, 2023, 11:46:23 PM

But it's probably the fighters themselves that we should gave thank to. Although we might call them diva, at least they give themselves a chance to make this fight after years of going into the public and talking about fighting each other.

When a fighter reaches superstar status there's going to be a shift of power, suddenly a fighter will have a say in what direction he wants to go, Canelo, Gervonta, and Pacquiao are some examples of what we call power shifting, their promoter will find themselves listening to what their boxers recommend.
If these two fighters are not on a superstar level their promoters will just impose their will and they will go cherry-picking opponents to protect their cash cow good on their pockets but not on boxers.
Great boxers by nature always go for a legacy fight, because they believe they have to establish their greatness while they are at their peak.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 16, 2023, 11:04:59 PM
These are exceptional people jumping from gambling to business is not easy and becoming a gambler and a businessman is quite risky, the other one can take over the other one, and if you are chasing your losses there's a possibility that you can use money in your business to do it.
And both ventures will need time if you're a professional gambler you have to keep up playing and if you're a businessman you have to oversee how the business is doing, not really that easy but these guys find a way to balance things and they are reaping the rewards, we can all learn from these successful people.
1227  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 16, 2023, 10:30:52 PM
There's going to be a huge debate about internet censorship if ever they fine signature campaign participants, they first have to prosecute and fine the domain registrar and the host hosting Chipmixer, and Google for indexing Chipmixer and everything related to why Chipmixer is online.

I don't know if there's a past ruling about liability being a third party on a site considered by US Justice Department and FBI as an offensive platform, but first, they have to prosecute and render a decision on Chipmixer before they will have long deliberation on internet marketing, which will involve internet giants like Facebook, Google and everything associated to the internet.

1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 03:01:45 PM
Thinking and actually promoting are different not because you read one issue you will generalize and categorize referral bonuses as a waste of time, you have to try it yourself first before you give your opinion that referral bonuses are waste of time.
There are actually promoters who make thousands of dollars from referring people and, this is free money you can use to wager or you can cash it out when it reaches the withdrawal threshold.

People will just have to pick the right casino to promote, not all casinos are the same when it comes to referral bonuses and rewards you have to check their terms and rules.
1229  Economy / Gambling / Re: AskAI: List of on chain gambling game. on: March 16, 2023, 05:07:41 AM

Ask the same to OpenAI ChatGPT3 and let us know the response that you are getting. Smiley

You already did that this is an AI that will give you the same answers because they are not based on human perception, they give what is in the database, AI's are storage of information that we can ask to retract on a given subject, they do commit errors because based on the information it provided like all the other observation many of the sites listed are no on-chain gaming at all.
There's a lot of praise for these AIs but they are not perfect I don't know the average, but it should help other fields but I always doubt if they really help gamblers win a majority of their bet when they cannot give an accurate list of on-chain gambling sites like what you provided.
1230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbet closed my account without paying the balance in my account. on: March 15, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
Use the right format when posting your complaint there's a misconception about your complaint and is it 1xbet or 1xbit, what is the real amount and the exact words they communicate with you, it's better if you can show us screenshots of that email so we have something to discuss about your issue and the reasons but whatever reason it may be I don't think they will give you your deposit.

1231  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 15, 2023, 11:30:32 PM
We are seeing more and more projects that are almost 100% built on Artificial Intelligence, like ChatGPT. Here are a few experiments that are linked between ChatGPT and gambling....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDthta5sUGQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw3pc-47weg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYegYNkwjR0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlFrI6cLD0E

Do you think AI will be more successful to get a working gambling strategy to win the house... and if they do, what will be the impact on casinos?

Based on these videos you can because AI's out output is based on experts' opinions and tutorials on how to set up a method or gambling strategy but making it 100% effective is another subject, so far no one come down here to post how effective his strategies that are based on AI input, these Youtube videos are meant to increase views and generate profits but not 100% effective, you could have a good win ratio but that's not different from having years of experience of following sports that you're betting, you can still lose and your chances are still based on your analysis and years of following and getting familiar on the sports you're betting.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 15, 2023, 10:26:48 PM

The notable win of John Ryder is against Daniel Jacobs, and maybe he caught Jacobs at the tail end of his career, and prior to that he lost to Callum Smith, in which Canelo beat already, and he doesn't have a good KO % as well.

And some bookies already listed him at 12:1 underdog against Alvarez.

Let's see what will be the other "good" betting options for this as obviously, Alvarez is going to be the overwhelming favorite.

His team knows how to pick the right fighter for a tune fight this is understandable because Canelo is coming from surgery and he may not be 100% to properly condition him he needs a low-level fighter like Ryder good for Canelo and Ryder but not good for the boxing community I think the odds at 12:1 underdog against Alvarez is far fetched guy is coming from good wins while Canelo from surgery, the guy still has a good chance, what a huge and record if Ryder can pull an upset who knows.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 15, 2023, 02:14:28 PM
The majority of gamblers one time or another suffered from serious and overwhelming losses, maybe when they are starting out, or while they are playing after a few months or even a few years, there will be a point in gamblers' time where their weakness will eventually show up.
A gambler's real strength is when he overcomes addiction or he knows when he needs to stop or take time to think he is still in control of what he is doing, actually what we are in gambling is a true test of our character.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gamble continuously because have surrendered to the situation on: March 14, 2023, 03:04:41 PM

I got a picture sent from a friend who said there was a slot addict who no longer cared about anything in his life, even his family had left him because of his addiction, luckily he is not a criminal, he doesn't rob to gamble but if you have a friend like him, would you advise him to stop gambling like crazy and return to the family? because there is no way you can stay with him, you have a family to take care of!

The question is, will he listen to your advice or pleading I doubt he is,  he is into deep and chasing his losses, and he loses a sense of fulfillment outside of gambling, as long as he is not committing a crime and still manage to fund his gambling out of his pocket you can just monitor him in case he does something wrong or wants to talk to someone into giving up gambling, compulsive gamblers are like that there will come a point where they want to change and give up gambling, that's the time you can help him.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of my big losses (Gamble Responsibly) on: March 14, 2023, 01:40:12 PM
We have to be genuine and real if you will post your amazing winning here you should also post your losses, there is no such thing as a perfect gambler only in movies we can see god of gamblers who never lose big bets, we are all just humans, there are flaws in our prediction because gambling is very unpredictable.
With OP's post, we get the idea that gambling is still a game of chance and even in sports betting good analysis will not guarantee good results.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 14, 2023, 11:33:45 AM
They should only freeze the account or the funds if the users requests them to via email if the account is compromised, otherwise, they don't really have to ban the user or confiscate their funds just because of an IP change, this definitely is harsh.

It's due to the fact that we don't know if there are other things that OP's friend got violated.

Even a not known gambling site won't just confiscate funds for that kind of reason.

Not unless the site OP is referring to, do have an inappropriate behaviour right from the start and not trustworthy.

There should be an investigation and the player should file a complaint, casinos cannot be too harsh on players without reason, because players can hit back by posting accusations here on Bitocintalk and other platforms and this will count as a reference against the casinos.
If the casino accumulated a number of unreasonable bans and restrictions the gambling community will consider this casino as bad to their standard and mark it as a casino that players should avoid playing.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 07:09:47 AM
The most popular mistake that newbies make with online casinos is avoiding the rules and regulations, not all online casinos will put up a warning sign on their first page and say 👇

"New users are welcome, please read our rules and regulation before making your first deposits"

You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.

Some even start spreading FUD on the forum about these gambling platforms that did them wrong, not knowing that they are the ones at fault, they are guilty because they don't read the rules and regulations.
This is not for newbies only but even long-time players still make the mistake of skipping the TOS and the FAQ thinking that all casinos have the same FAQ, until they found out that it's different from the one where they used to play and when they filed a complaint.
It should be your nature to always check, read and be familiar with every casino's term that you're playing to avoid scenarios that will put your account in trouble.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 02:09:09 PM
It can only be safe when it is well organized and there are authorities participating in it, we do it in our fiesta where there are color games and number games, but there are local guards and police officers to overlook the situation, of course, there is curfew and can only be done in a limited time to avoid complaints from neighbors, but if you're playing in a non-organized street gambling there's a risk of fights because you do not know the character of people you're playing and they might accuse you of cheating if they lose.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 10, 2023, 03:54:31 PM
There is also a second face to face, and still both of them touches each other chin, no pushing or something of any physical thought, it's more of their mouth running on each other faces.

I don't like Oscar though saying that this could be bigger than Oscar vs Floyd that time and it could break their 2.4 PPV records.

What other thinks of the PPV numbers of this fight though? will it be close to 1M? I doubt that they can get to that numbers.

It's possible this deal did not happen overnight its three or four years in the making both guys have matured inside and outside of the ring and they realize that they need a fight to validate and establish their legacy because checking both fighters, they have not fought boxers that is equal to their popularity and greatness and this is the fight that will validate each other, and there will only be one that can validate his greatness.
Finally all involved get their acts together because they need to give the boxing community or set the trend of great boxers fighting another great fighter, because of what happened to the Crawford - Spence deal, so we'll see if it will reach 1 million but it's possible.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest Bonus is Casino History on: March 10, 2023, 12:25:38 PM
What is the biggest bonus you have come across in online casino? Please let us know.

We are currently planning some of the most exciting bonuses in the industry after our relaunch. So we want to get some ideas of what has been done elsewhere in the past. How would you guys want the bonuses to be? I mean what do you consider to be a good casino bonus?

A 60% deposit bonus that have a x1 wagering requirements on specific slot provider. I manage to claim this kind of bonus on Duelbits last Christmas event and I earn almost 200$ by just playing x1 wager on slot. I like bonus like this that has a very simple requirements and no catch rather than a bonus that offer insane bonus percentage but the requirements is almost impossible to achieve. Players preferred this kind of bonus if you want to attract more players during your relaunch.

But this is Duelbits one of the top casinos in the industry they are very generous with their bonus which is why they are one of the casinos where gamblers prefer to play, but for a new casino to announce that they are giving the biggest bonus in casino history, we have doubts and we have to see what kind of bonus they are giving out and what are the requirements is it in favor the casino, most likely or they will be as generous like Duelbits and some of the top casinos in the industry.
We'll have to see what kind of bonus will that be and whether will it impress the community.
