Sorry newbie selling iPhones is always a red flag. Can you prove you own the phone and are you prepared to accept escrow?

Bit off topic here guys but if ANACS grade and seal a coin is it guaranteed genuine?

I know there are some fake Casascius doing the rounds just wondered if they are ANACS graded and sealed they are guaranteed genuine?

Sorry to hijack the thread.
Typically you assume that yes, they are genuine.  All depends on how familiar they are with what is being graded, which given the number of coins that have gone through I'd say is pretty safe.

I typically deal with NGC/PCGS and if they have any question about the authenticity of the coin they won't slab it and send it back as "questionable".

Thank you very much that's good to know.
1963  Other / Off-topic / Re: High blood pressure back to normal after 3 days of not smoking on: June 12, 2015, 12:19:49 AM
I will second your results, Hedgy.  My last cig was in February and my BP has dropped considerably since then.  I'd also like to give you props for trying to help an alcoholic out.  Both addictions are extremely tough to beat, if you can call abstinence "beating" it.  Nice to see a positive thread around here once in a while, even if I'm the most negative kid on the block most of the time.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you're battling your demons as well, smoking as we all know is very difficult to give up.

I know what you're saying, positive threads are hard to find nowadays...

I know both smoking and drinking are extremely hard to beat but luckily enough both me and my family member ( my mum ) were ready to give up because it had come to crunch time.

Fingers crossed we're both doing well at the moment but as we all know its a long and tricky road ahead.

Thanks again for your positive input.

That's awesome, man! I smoked for 27 years and quit last September - I was given a vape pen that Christmas but never really used it and just happened to buy some e-juice one day and really dug the flavor, figured I'd try quitting and it is actually surreal that I'm cig -free. i spend about $11 every month and a half on juice, before I was smoking a pack every other day so the money I've saved has been a lot. My doctor freaked-out at how clear my lungs were and my only regret is not doing this sooner. Keep it up, you won't even be thinking of cigarettes in a few days.

Thanks buddy I'm already over the worst of the cravings. The e-cigs really help too.

Funny thing is you need to be ready to give up, I've tried before when I wasn't ready and it didn't work.

You need to be ready to give up smoking for this to work.
1966  Other / Off-topic / High blood pressure back to normal after 3 days of not smoking on: June 11, 2015, 11:17:12 PM
Hi all,

Just wanted to let the smokers among you how much smoking can effect your blood pressure.

I've been smoking for the last 20 years, I'm now 41.

I've been on high blood pressure tablets for the last 15 years.

I decided on 9-6-15 (Tuesday this week) to give up smoking with e-cigs for help. This was also because I did a deal with a family member that was an alcoholic and in desperate need of help that they stopped drinking and I would stop smoking at the same time as I knew stopping smoking would be a big incentive for them to stop drinking.

I had to go for a blood pressure test on the same day and my blood pressure was high 180/80 as usual.

They told me to go back today (3 days later) because I had decided to stop smoking and my blood pressure was down to 139/? (cant remember that number) which is just slightly above normal.

I now have to go back in a months time because I don't now need high blood pressure medication because after 3 days of not smoking my blood pressure is pretty much normal and I don't need medication anymore, for the first time in nearly 20 years!!!

The doctor told me that its usual for smokers blood pressure to reduce by 20% after 24 hours!

So there you go. If you smoke and want to reduce your blood pressure then give up or try e-cigarettes like me.

It will reduce your chance of heart attack and stroke massively.

I would like everyone to give up smoking normal cigarettes, I know its only early days but I feel more positive than ever before when trying.

Good luck to you all that are trying to give up drinking or smoking Smiley.

Thanks for the information guys, I was only joking when I said it was too much Tongue.

It's a lovely coin Mr Nasty, I'm sure it wont take long to sell Smiley.

I've already received an offer of 2 BTC for both and 1.65 BTC for just the Casascius.  If nobody wants to beat one of these offers, you should consider these already sold.  It took a whole hour.  Shocked

I'm not surprised at all it didn't take that long, nice coins you've got there Smiley.

How much for just the casascius?

You're probably not the only one thinking that Cheesy.
You can say that again Smiley

Not sure what the Casascius is worth on its own? Anyone know of any recent sales and how many there are?
I recently got one that was graded MS-67, via auction for 1.47 BTC, however I think the auction was a fluke for some reason, maybe because KoS was trolling on it.

Really? That's far too much Cheesy.

I'm glad you did Cheesy

I personally think an AK-47 manufacturer should 'bite the bullet' and start producing them.
