1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 Will See Entry of More Institutional Players in Crypto on: December 27, 2018, 11:18:54 PM
It is not a rumor anymore that many institutional players will come in to crypto's.

If someone tells that Wall St has backed out of crypto, are they the only big institutional players in the world? ignore about them, they are just trying to gain attention but you'll know later that they have been buying and accumulating to fill their bags.
Not sure about that if you are seeing the fact that most of rich person in the world located in US, A lot of companies with very big marketcapitalizations are located in US too and remember most of big bankers in the word are located in america right now.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 in 4 Words – ICOs and Ethereum Are Dead on: December 27, 2018, 11:16:07 PM
Unless you’re Spencer Bogart, most people would agree that 2018 has been a dismal year for crypto–even if they don’t say it on their Twitter feeds. If you want to sum up the year in four words, you could try using these: ICOs and Ethereum are dead.

Forums, Telegram groups, Slack chats, there’s no shortage of predictions for Ethereum’s collapse, ICOs futures, FUD, and personal nagging fears about ending up in a dumpster. But, beyond the gossip and speculation, what do the industry insiders have to say?

CCN | https://www.ccn.com/2018-in-4-words-icos-and-ethereum-are-dead/

ICOs and Ethereum are dying. Yeah it's not dead because we can still buy it at mostly all exchanges. ETH has still market demands that are now increasing as the price had starting to crawl up. Is it now dead? Nope I don't think that ETH will just give-up that easily.
That's right and if I think ICO and ethereum will never die quickly because the thing that enliven the crypto world is the ICO project that provides free gifts to users
Even if the price will go even lower and the ico market and ethereum will not die. The fact that ethereum and ico already exist before the price from both of coins were going to the moon last year. It will stay in here forever.
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Mining 2018? ??? on: December 27, 2018, 11:03:50 PM
If you see Thread Alternative coin -> Announcement. there is a lot of new coin that using PC as miner. but some of them isn't really on the market so that's the mean they have no value at this moment. just choose some coin that will add to some exchange and you will make some profit later.

Winspiral is very well known as scammer and this thread is a kind of the promotion thread to promote his ponzi site. This thread has no purpose at all. So many times OP was creating a lot of similar thread like this one. OP is not even interested to open the discussion.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think that Bitcoincash will replace Bitcoin on: December 27, 2018, 03:09:55 PM
It is not possible, because bitcoin cash is in the fifth place already. But we will see about that, because their development for both coins are still up to day and updating. We will see major changes on the future.

This topic was discussed when Bitcoin Cash appeared. I suppose many guys from this Forum remember how fast the altcoin was growing. Nevertheless, even that time all smart men understood that BTC cannot be replaced.
Even the creator of BCH that called roger shit has already understood about that the bitcoin should get a pump to make him still become the millionaire. BTC can't be replaced because it's very well known as the root of the cryptocurrency.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: December 27, 2018, 03:07:06 PM
Pundi x still traded on my local exchange indeed the price currently very low and almost died probably if the volume support gradually low then possibly this altcoin will be delisted on that exchange but i have to agree with your opinion that Doge exceptional that even though the price low but Doge can survive even i used to save doge for long term purposse
Doge has been used as an alternative transaction to avoid the high fees while at the same time it has used to create a lot of the pump and dump. Basically the pumpers and dumpers are still giving a life for doge coin. But ethereum has been giving it too.
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: End of ethereum? on: December 21, 2018, 03:01:57 PM

if I personally still believe that eth will continue to grow, even though sometimes it experiences a sharp decline, it is only temporary. so we must be sure that in the future eth will recover like last year, which has made the world uproar with a high price.
many people hope that ethereum can reach the highest price last year, but unfortunately throughout this year, the progress of ethereum's price is not so good, instead it tends to experience a very sharp decline. trust to grow I believe ethereum is still very likely to grow, but it's a matter of time, that requires patience.
Just waiting for the next block decrease and ice age. That should be the key for ethereum. As far as i know that the block reward will have reduced 33% started from the next month. if that can bring a bullish trend and it will be so easy for ethereum to create another come back.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PUMP TIME? on: December 21, 2018, 03:00:44 PM
now is DECEMBER 20.

last 2 day was Green.
what you think? its time for invest?
3 days charts have already show the bullish signal and it can be confirmed as a bullish trend and it's not a big bull trap. It's a little bit too late for you consider they are all have reached the bottom price a few weeks ago. Just diversify your amount to put more guarantee.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bulls on crypto market are back on: December 21, 2018, 02:59:13 PM
Bitcoin (BTC) is looking increasingly bullish on a key technical chart following its strong move above $4,000.
https://www.coindesk.com/this-price-chart-indicates-bitcoins-bulls-are-back-in-business

i believe, when the price of bitcoin rising, others crypto will rising too,,
be ready everyone, choose the right cryptocurrencies now,
so, you don't miss the bull train  Wink

i bet ethereum, ADA, EOS and waves will be huge in 2019, what about you ?

I still have a lot of altcoins and they are all still waiting for the next big bull trend in the future. Ethereum shows slow bullish trend comparing to the another crypto that means if ether has a lot of potential to take over ripple instantly.  Waves has reached its peak price.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICOs should be protected from dump on: December 21, 2018, 01:29:15 PM
Some ICO teams offer guaranteed buyback. But this is not always enough. Even if some projects offer guarantees, the market conditions do not allow this.
But most of these teams are changing it, there are some of them are creating buy back. Basically this is a good idea but that will make them all get less funds. Most of them are not interesting to waste their funds to protect the investors.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your past experience will always be an added advantage on: December 21, 2018, 01:26:44 PM
Experience is very vital in life, either good or bad.
You might have encountered some challenges (while trading, investing or in the use of some crypto tools) in the crypto space, your manner of approach and how you were able to solve them or perhaps you could not, all these together can help you to make good decisions in the future.
Only the fearful will never dear to take a risk that will be an advantage to him in future.
This is a trending technology with a bright future. Learn more about it, teach others, make use of it and very soon, you will see it working for you.
the problem is when you will face a lot of FUDDers and then that will be so difficult for them all to protect themselves from Fudders.
The experience gives a lot of knowledge for us if we will face the same situation again in the future.
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RED color of all... on: December 20, 2018, 11:22:22 PM
Red is the color that has become familiar in 2018. People expect a recovery from month to month and now expect in 2019. This is also interesting.
Some people even called this yeas as the correction year for crypto, it looks like the bull has come and we will try to break more and more resistance. I guess that will be very interesting to see bitcoin wants to break another ATH dude.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think WAVES will have their place in top 10 during the 2019? on: December 20, 2018, 11:17:31 PM
It pushed into top 20, it has secured $120 million in funding for integration of its Vostok private blockchain into government an institutional IT systems.
If we look at the project's roadmap, getting into top 10 next years seems challenging, but not unrealistic.
What are the chances for them to make it?
A big no too. Just because it has secured $120 millions dollar and that will make waves gets sustainable bullish trend? This is a pump and dump market and that's fine if you are expecting it for yourself but remember the chart can say other anytime.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Rally into Constantinople Fork / Alt-Season (Risk on) on: December 20, 2018, 11:04:53 PM
Having that deja vu sensation for the graph that I just saw posted on Twitter, then I read u're the same person  Grin

I think lots of people will be really happy if that happens, but don't we need some bigger event to trigger a decent bull run (not talking about 20/30% but more zeroes)?

Can Alt season start without a previous BTC season?

Sure it can Tongue

I think alt season is more correlated with eth than btc.

It's just an idea though...
Because more than 80% of altcoins have existed on the market were pegged to the ethereum platform.  Ether could surpass ripple easily. Just waiting for the momentum when ether reaches 0.1 rates in bitcoin terms.

But bitcoin still gives an impact to the ether.
1974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins and why the ecosystem needs them on: December 20, 2018, 10:34:25 PM
I think this article brings up a good point about stablecoins and their position next to bitcoin: https://www.strictlycrypto.com/stablecoins-why-does-the-ecosystem-needs-them/
Thoughts?

I have a positive attitude to stable coins. In this article I saw the thoughts that visited me, I have already expressed them in this forum. Of course, stable coins are now used to save investors funds during the bear market, but potentially they can be used as a means of payment, and the main cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum in real life is an asset for investment.
Stablecoins are good for us becouse me can hold our money on the bear market. But for today there are a lot of stable coins, that can get scams any moment.
That means the stable coin gives the benefit only to the speculators and no more. It doesn't give any impact to the whole of crypto ecosystme. So many stable coin right now that created a very bad trend to the crypto.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It might not be easy, you just have to let go on: December 20, 2018, 10:30:15 PM
Year 2018 seems to have the most prolonged dip from what i have seen so far. Some people had serious loss along the line; some vowed never to invest in cryptocurrency again; some sold all their assets and left.
Your encounters though might seem not encouraging, but do you know that you are better of than the person that is just coming in, because of what you now know.
Let go of your mistakes, but whenever you remember them, tell yourself it is not yet over, the crypto space will still get better and you will be glad you're still in the system.
And then just try to forget your horrible experience with crypto in the past and try to learn from your experience. So many people are not having good mentalism have sold all of their assets very cheap and then imagine when the whales have bought them all and whales created huge profits.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In UK & fucked up in crypto in 2017? Income Tax losses on: December 20, 2018, 10:26:09 PM
Income Tax losses
An individual who is trading may be able to reduce their Income Tax liability by offsetting any losses from their trade against future profits or other income. HMRC’s Losses: HS227 Self Assessment helpsheet has more information (including restrictions that apply).

If profits from activities are taxable as miscellaneous income, losses may be able to be carried forward to later years. More information on this can be found in helpsheet HS325: other taxable income.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/tax-on-cryptoassets/cryptoassets-for-individuals

New clarification by uk gov, quite imporant I'd say.

If you invested in 2017 and got loss, you may pay less tax on your earnings.
Lol is this for real? even the guy who has lost million dollars must pay the tax. It's such a robber. It doesn't make sense to give the tax for those speculators in 2017. It might better to give the tax for those are creating huge money.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still Hodling?? Only acumulating btc for me on: December 07, 2018, 11:12:44 PM

So guys, are you still hodling altcoins. Tbh, I just don't see any case for the moment in hodling coins, my start for the moment is to get as much sats as I can
Im still hold whole of my altcoin and i will try accumulate more and more bitcoin because it's so cheap but i still waiting for another bottom in the future too. This will be a very interesting thing to see i can buy bunch of bitcoin as fast as possible. Market seems give us a lot of discount.
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to Etherum on: December 07, 2018, 11:11:18 PM
Ethereum developers are a good team, they are not sitting still. They are working on improvement. Now Ethereum is going through bad times. But let's not draw conclusions and wait for the transition to the POC. This, I hope, will happen in early 2019.
What do you mean about POC, i never heard about that but the ethereum network has already planned to be replaced with hybrid system that used POW combined with POS to determine how much total supply that will be generated by the miners. that's what i know about the next update.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges on: December 07, 2018, 11:09:39 PM
According to my observation, after the end of the sale, it takes at least one or two months, sometimes it takes more time, if you choose by quality, I think it may be longer, but as a result listing on a good exchange.
Basically it's will be so easy if you are preparing a lot of money to pay the exchange site just like a few coins that paid a few millions dollars to get listed on the major exchange site. They are wanna get money and this what will do by exchange site to earn revenue from the product.
1980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: December 07, 2018, 04:12:13 PM
Yeh, I think Ripple is one of the most powerful cryptocurrencies now. It's blockchain is perfect, I often use XRP if I need to make fast transactions between exchanges. It will be great again.
How does your ripple help you to do quick transactions between exchanges? How does this generally speak about the quality of this coin?
It consumes less than a few second i suppose but im not sure about this one because you need to put the letter as a reference to create any transaction between any exchange site. It has been getting support from bankers. Maybe this is a bit ridiculous but that's the fact.
