It should be Magsayo as a Favorite but I can't find a source yet. Much younger than 5 years than Vargas, currently in prime, undefeated, a champion, I know Vargas is a big name but Magsayo should be able to handle him contrary to what others are expecting. Anyway, on that Canelo vs Bivol, the reason why Canelo becomes a favorite even as a challenger is because of the former's being an undisputed champion entering the light heavyweight compared to Bivol prior he faced Canelo, he is just doing a title defense. Looks like the Miami Heat find a way to stop the 76ers from further gaining momentum and leading the series, they just stop Embiid and play hard defense against the 76ers holding them to score two digits only while they were sinking shots anywhere shape they performed. Does it look like Heat in 6? What about you guys? how do you see this game tonight, any chance for the 76ers to force a game 7 in their next game after what happened to Embiid, or are they will gonna lose the next one too?  It was a complete team effort from the Heat, they were able to limit Embiid all round, especially keeping him of the free throw line, he had only 3 free throw attempts all game long, I can't remember the last he had that little trip to the line, and Heat played great defense without picking up easy and early fouls. I think the 76ers could still force a game 7, it's not all over yet. Game 6 is set to be hosted by Sixers in Philadelphia, It is getting more interested to see what is their next move as the Heat only need 1 last win to close the series. They surely have succeeded in limiting Embiid's contribution and performance but I doubt that they can still do that again on the next game. The bottom line, although Bucks won and lead to a 2-1 advantage, Game 3 is a close game. The Celtics will surely try to bounce back obviously now that they know that even though Giannis is making 40+ points, they are not that behind in the total score.
I think they should focus on limiting the points from Giannis because although the final score was close, Bucks dominated before the final quarter. if they want to win, they have to start strong, and Tatum should make his points as he usually do, he cannot be limited like what happen in game 3. I wish it's easy for them, in the last 3 games, Giannis production has only improved. Joel Embiid's presence really plays a big impact that's why some of his teammates awaken in their previous game.
Joel Embiid real MVP he makes 6ers the favorite. As long as a couple other guys come up with 15-20 on top of Harden being a factor they should be pretty good, and Heat need to have three guys like Chuck said catch fire. If they can't do that on top of having chemistry Butler can't bail them out. That is the difference, 6ers have an easier playbook while Heat have to constantly be moving and find team play on the go. Philly knows their roles. I like to correct you, 76ers is not the favorite in the series, they are even heavy underdog in the last 2 games when Embiid was still out, and in game 5 since the odds are already out, they are +3.5 underdog, so they are not the favorites. Maybe if they'll beat the Heat on the road, that will make them the favorite in the series. Embiid is not getting his usual number yet, not a 30+ points performance but his presence inside is giving the 76ers outside shooters some confidence and they can also drive inside since they control the paint. |

Finney-Smith and Bertans especially, have to gain confidence to shoot and it all happened today. Jason Kidd is doing good at rotating his players, and Mavs deep bench is being highlighted now with 6 players making double digits. In the last 4 games, we saw how good both teams are playing on their home court, so in game 5, I think Suns will not waste that opportunity to go ahead in the series, because if they loss in game 5, it will be the Mavericks who will advance in the WCF, that's for sure. Well, Canelo has finally found the fighter that could defeat him and we cannot blame the fans because Canelo is very popular. There's a rematch, so we now have the time to choose which fighter we think will win, and I'm sure the betting odds that Bivol will not anymore a heavy underdog if he will still be listed as the underdog.
I think it's time for his team to rethink his campaign for greatness he is taking more than what he can chew, he is fighting a real light heavyweight, I notice Canelo is easily tired he is still fast but those punches coming from a heavier fighter is just too much, he will still be great in the middleweight he should concentrate there, maybe unite all belts and fight the best in the middleweight, and go to defend until he breaks Hopkin's record. There's a debate on who is the greatest in the middleweight and he has a claim for it, set a record that future champions will be hard to match. I already suspected that this might happen as Bivol is really far from Kovalev in terms of power and advantages, Canelo had an easy time dominating the latter but I didn't really expected that he would be defeated today as I'm only thinking that his would be a close and tough fight but Canelo will still be the winner. IMHO, this whole thing is a setup, payback time for Probellum for that Dubai incident, don't know if they lose some money on that promotion but their integrity was somewhat questioned on that incident. The Greek Freak did it again. 42 points 12 rebounds 8 assists. Great performance and becoming more of a facilitator. The Celtics did gave him a hard time to attack the paint by aiming for an offensive foul whenever he runs wild but it didn't stop him by using spin moves to create space and using his strong upper body to force his way in. Shutting down Tatum was the first priority then everything goes their way. Good game and the ending was a bit dramatic. Yeah, almost a triple double performance for Giannis again, he knows that he will be double or even triple team that's why he look for the open man. Although there were instance that his pass was intercepted, but at least he prove clutch again. For sure Tatum will bounce back next game, he had a good series against the Nets and I said that he is a legit star now. So he has to adjust to the defense being put on him to score. Both teams making the right adjustment, so let's expect that will happen in game 4 as that game is a very important game for the Celtics. However, if Tatum will improve and Brown will struggle, that would result to another lose, so both of them has to have a good performance in order for them to even the series. |

This is a perfect day for me. Huge stoppage victories from Oliveira and Chandler in the UFC and of course Bivol taking Canelo once again to school. I think it was disrespectful when Canelo as a challenger was introduced last when it could've been Bivol. But Bivol was always focus and even mentioned after the fight that the loud Canelo fans further motivated him. Bivol was executing his team's game plan very well, even at times when Canelo was already cornered, Bivol showed discipline not to over commit. And to the hardcore boxing fans, you guys knew the judges attempted to change the outcome of the fight when all of them gave Canelo 5 rounds. But it was just too much, Bivol was clearly dominating Canelo all over the ring that the judges cannot find more close rounds and loopholes.  Congrats to you, I know you are a solid Bivol and good that you put your money on him a win big. As for those who bet on Canelo including myself, yeah, upset happens, we just to accept that. It was a simple but yet effective strategy for Bivol, don't let Canelo get inside, used his jab more to prevent him from entering. And then uses his best combo, one-two punch to throw Canelo off balance and to score points in the judges scorecard. But I guess the judges gives Canelo more rounds though. Everyone here is thinking that Canelo would easily beat the champ, including me of course, so I'm guilty but I'm glad I didn't put my bet on that game. Better playback what happens in their first meetup that it needs a rematch. Maybe you just don't know much Donaire that's why you want Casimero for him. Casimero is even overrated. The way he is struggling to maintain his weight, how can he even match with a much more fit Naoya Inoue.
I have to agree that the fight between Donaire and Inoue deserves a rematch. Then, what If Donaire wins the rematch, then a trilogy would be much interesting. I guess Casimero still have a chance for the Inoue fight later after Donaire. I want to believe he's overrated, but not until he fights Inoue. We can't deny that guy is also a good boxer and carrying much hype with his character. Definitely a rematch between Donaire and Inoue will be asked if indeed Donaire will be the one who will announced as the victorious one in their said rematch, there's no doubt about that as their standing would be 1-1. With the help of Brunson to Doncic, Dallas managed to stand still in this series. If they lost the game last night, the series would come to a point that they wouldn't be able to make a comeback from. If Mavericks manage to add another superstar beside Doncic, they would become one of the strongest candidates of the title next season. For this series, I still think that they don't have much chance.
Yes, you are certainly right about that Jalen and Luka is a good tandem in the Mavericks side so if they could afford to add another good player in their current line-up then I'm sure that they could be a candidate again in the next season if also they could be this healthy again. Bivol is a champ in many boxing championships in which he'd been training in the US for a long time. he must have learned well including English. this is not the kind of boxer that hasn't faced intimidating boxers. pulling an upset might be difficult for him to achieve as he is facing Canelo. but i would be happy to get my winnings its just small amount actually but whoever wins, i will enjoy the rumble.  It's your assessment and that also counts when you say that he already trained for quite some time, enough to create good strategy and understand how his opponents will work against him, there's no doubt that Canelo will continue to be the heavy favorite but we never know when upset will take place. A solid conversion to Canelo's critical parts will give you that chance to collect your winnings. Let see if how things will be there for us fans, looking to see toe-to-toe fights between the two. I voted for Boston. I noticed that I just made the poll at a tie.
Now that it is confirmed that Khris Middleton is out in games 3 and 4, it will be very difficult for Giannis and his team to beat the Celtics even in Milwaukee. There is a big difference between Boston Celtics and that Chicago Bulls team. Boston can defend well and Marcus Smart might return in game 3. Giannis teammates better show their a-games offensively and defensively or they will lose these 2 homecourt games.
That's a challenge for them especially now that their playing in their homecourt, I have no doubt on Giannis's skills because he is still hard to stop even for Tatum and Smart alone but for the rest of them team they also need to step up and help Giannis achieve a dominant win on the following 2 games because if they can't then it's already over, Celtics will gain move to the Semis. |

The Warriors vs Grizzlies game earlier was certainly breathtaking to see and injured players like Gary Payton II and Draymond Green but luckily Green did return in the game afterwards, the intensity is really different when it comes to playoffs.

I was frustrated with what happened to Gary Payton II and I think it is a flagrant foul and an intentional foul at the same time Kerr has said that Dillon Brooks broke the code he sure wants Payton out of the Picture because Gary Payton II is doing his job amazingly in guarding Ja Morant, and the results Ja Morant just got 30 plus points on the 1st game, and when Payton is out Ja Morant has gone crazy on the 2nd match, and right now GP2 has suffered ligament damage in addition to his fractured elbow, so this is a very serious injury, and I think that Dillon Brooks should be suspended, and if not suspended for 1 to 2 games out for good this season. Haven't imagine that Brooks will go for something like that, he was just ejected and there's no news if he's suspended for the entire series or season because it was clear that he used brute force to commit an intentional foul on Gary Payton II. Now he is injured and probably cannot play even if the Warriors can made it to the Finals. That was really a dirty play and Kerr was right that he broke the code, but I don't seriously think that the whole Grizzlies team planned for it. There is news that he will be suspended without pay next game. So he will missed game 3 and that could be a big factor for Memphis because they are on the road against one of the best home team. I do agree, it was not planned, it just so happened, just like when Siakam broke Embiid orbital bone with that one Euro step causing Joel to missed as well the games against the Heat. Yes, I was also informed earlier this day that Dillion Brooks has been suspended to play on Game 3 after that incident, frankly that was way more beyond the line because GP2 was badly injured after he fell. Anways, the damage has been done and sadly for GP2, he cannot play probably for the rest of the season even if the GSW can make it into the Finals this year. |
