1961  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io - 20% Rakeback Christmas Bonus - Most trusted Bitcoin Dice site on: February 15, 2017, 11:30:35 PM
I'm actually in two minds wether to open source it or not so others can contribute.
Two things putting me off that decision are:
1) Someone finds an exploit and doesn't report it but uses it Smiley
2) If in 2-3 years some big company wishes to buy BetKing, would they knowing the software is out there for free?

Yeah, 1) is concerning. Not only does open source make it easier to find attack vectors, it makes it easier to abuse them. Of course, it's never a good idea to rely on obscurity -- but it makes a good defensive layer.

2) I don't think I'd worry about. I think as long as the license allows you to relicense it, I'm not sure it'd be a big deal. Big companies buy companies for the player base and brand, not the code itself.

I guess the middle ground is to open source the front end, but not the back end. It largely avoids all the security risk stuff, but unless it's easy for people to run their own dev copy it might be hard to get contributors

100% agree there.
I'll open source the front end but not back. The front is more useful anyway as it allows players to mod things if they like.

its official then?
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURVEY on the popularity of these ways to gamble. on: February 15, 2017, 08:40:50 PM
Just wanted to add that I specially like live betting.

Never saw a dice site proposing live bets and it's logical because it would be rather... Strange xD
But I love roulette live betting.
Don't know why, but it gives ore fun.
Maybe because it's slower so I can play longer before losing everything xD

Live betting, you mean multiplayer games like poker etc. ?

First time I see the poll options, my guess is right, mostly dice and sports betting is the most popular than other option.

Dice is easy to play and mostly bitcoin gambling site provided to play without deposit (faucet feature).
Sports betting have a fans of sports, it's obviously can attract people to make a bet, plus the chance to win is bigger than other option.

I beg to disagree, chance depends on your payout selection.
 And perhaps, timing. Cheesy

I placed my first vote on sports betting I got hooked into it after esports betting became famous. Second vote is for plinko I like playing plinko it's a nice game to play than dice imo. Looks like i'm the only one who voted for plinko for now.

I place bets on pro-dota 2 games as well. But I use items on game instead of bitcoin to make those bets.

I voted for slots and roulette, I like sport betting too, but more then all mentioned I like poker, and I don't know why poker is not in your pool.
My favorite gambling games are:
1. Poker
2. Slots
3. Table games ( roulette, BJ, Caribbean Poker..)
4. Sports Betting
agree , rather than mentioning roulette only better to change it to table games as a lot of people when gamble on a game like roulette they will play on a games like baccarat , blackjack etc too i believe you guys same as me.

anyway poker and sportsbetting are the main game that i do regularly .

I think you forgot to add poker to the list. If I had to rank the ways I gamble, 1st would definitely go to Sports betting, 2)Poker 3)Roulette 4) Dice. I have never tried plinko and I dont think i'll try it anytime soon.
yes poker and blackjack also should be added to this poll because many people like these game however my first choice is sport betting too and second is dice

honestly forgot poker.
Adding it. Thanks.
Quote
Seeing on the selection I could say that sports betting does really have the edge since we could have to increase our winning chance of we do analyze it correctly with correct knowledge but playing dice also enjoyable.

you can also do that in Dice.
Change your payout. Less payout, higher chance.

1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURVEY on the popularity of these ways to gamble. on: February 15, 2017, 10:09:27 AM
I still believe that gambling is one of the major reason in the growing demand for bitcoin.

i disagree. because you said "major reason".
gambling had certainly helped a lot mostly because it offers anonymity and fast transactions unlike fiat that you have to wait a long time to deposit and a week to withdraw.
but compared to other reasons such as decentralization and the fact that you don't need banks and the government, gambling has contributed a little.

So, please choose from these games which you think is best.

Thanks.

in general i say poker is the best gambling game.
but in online games that are easy to play i choose dice because it is very hard to cheat the players in this game.

I stand on what i've said earlier.

Anyways there were 6 votes casted before you posted. Still 6 after. Pls vote, thanks.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURVEY on the popularity of these ways to gamble. on: February 15, 2017, 09:36:42 AM
Dice games - This is the most popular bitcoin online game so far. Some of you may think
of it as similar to craps game but is not. Once you start playing it, you got addicted right
away. You just have to know the rules of it before playing. Another thing worth mention
is that its unique to bitcoin gambling community. You can't find any other online games
similar to Bitcoin dice so this make its more fun and enjoyable.

It has something that pulls you back right?

Expect answers would really be random but basing on the poll votes it would be possible known how many players will  cast their favorite games and ive chose Dice game it maybe boring for sometimes but still its my favorite game as of now because it really easy to play and results are fast.

I think that is the reason why dice sites often/always have chat.

So, please choose two from these games which you think is best.

1968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which site is the best for sports betting? on: February 15, 2017, 08:29:29 AM
I'm looking to make semi-regular sports bets. Could you recommend a site that has a good reputation and informative bet-placing?

I'd say Directbet.eu is the best for sports betting.
It is the best in terms of rewarding regular bettors in their VIP program.
plus there is this monthly poll where they top most, if not all .
1969  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] DuckDice.io Signature and Avatar campaign! on: February 14, 2017, 04:53:37 PM
Max character limit for hero member signature area is 4000 and after including new link to signature it will cross that limit so we will have broken signature like this.
~snip~

Yes you're right. It are 32 characters too many, is there a way too shorten the links with 4 characters that are in this signature code DuckDice?

If we are allowed to have a bitly then its 4 characters less.

1972  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ INVEST on: February 13, 2017, 04:39:00 PM
Hi Baryom.

Hello,

It's been several months since our team is thinking  about opening Bitsler.com for investments.  The goal is to be able to provide a much higher max bet than 10 or 20 BTC, something like 100-150 BTC.  However, our major concern  is  the FAIRNESS.  Indeed, it is easy for people with an access to the server to create an account and make it win. I don't tell that other online casinos who are opened for investments already did it , not at all.   I am just trying to say that it could be done by them, so  the investors will never find out about it.
I could give my money to people like Dooglus or Dean without any hesitation or fear. But even if your investment was profitable,  you will never know if the owner cheated on you (Let's take an example of the casino that made :  +100 BTC profit .  Its' owner may create an account and win 25 BTC.  Even if you are still in profit : +75 BTC, you have been cheated on and your profit has been decreased). And this is a big problem for us, especially when we are talking about a big amount of money.

We all know, that Provably Fair System exists for relations between players and casino. But after doing some research, we didn't find a provably fair system for relations between  the investors and casino.  I know that Dooglus thought about a system like that in the past (someone wrote it in a topic).

Is there someone who has an idea of how to provide (create) a provably fair system for relations between the investors and casino ?

Thanks

Are you gonna be doing the same "kelly" as Dean of Betking.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=910134.msg10012831#msg10012831

It should be a gentlemen's agreement. And have midmans, not just one.

Yeh, my idea was only "fair by audit" and not "provably fair" (so it only works if investors trust that the auditor is not colluding with the site owner.) I actually made a diagram of that too some time ago:

Auditors would be better don't you think?

My previous Duck Dice account    ( luckyduck ) is not accessible. My previous balance is still there. Although after receiving the balance i conformed the balance by  opening it. but now its  not accessible even the recovery email is not receiving. please help me to access my  previous account where the previous week balance is already present.
and is it necessary to create a new Duck Dice account for receiving the 2nd week payment?

quoting for reference.

Your rank is Sr. Member yet you ask like a newbie.
You're suppose to be a good example to newer members that before we post on a thread, given that it only is less than 10 pages, should backread at least.

But I'll give you a link to where you should be able to find an answer.

Some people just don't understand the situation and trying to take an advantage, we need proves of previous account ownership to transfer the balances to new account. This is important otherwise anyone can just say that "yeah, I was your active member" – and just tell any username from our threads. But we encountered weird situation where people who never had an account with us trying to claim something that they never had and of course it won't work and they just trying to make a fuss out of it.

I actually left the site a while ago because there was this user, who is trying to catch attention.

to Stan,

Just want to ask about the request I ask you regarding my affiliate-thing. You know what I'm talking about, and thankyou for your hardwork.

1976  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YoBit exchange are scammers and its just a matter of time to disappear (solved) on: February 12, 2017, 07:21:09 AM
They fixed ARCO's problem 2-3 days after I started this thread and our Russian guy (FAILCoin is with a worldwide team) told me that a guy from their support convinced him that YoBit is trying their best to improve their services. Looks like 2.5 months later things are not much different...

I've been a retention(Loyalty) specialist. Number 1 cause of high churn rate is because of poor customer service.
Well, your issue isn't fixed for months so I don't feel the sincerity of Yobit telling they are trying their best to improve.

75days is too long for a significant improvement.

Both of your accounts are not worth the loan you guys are asking for. You have to put up more collateral. Also, future income is not a valid collateral. What you guys are asking is a bit of a stretch for you both.

Hi there.
I am not putting my future income as collateral. I just included that information.
Anyways, thanks for reminding.

Both of your accounts are not worth the loan you guys are asking for. You have to put up more collateral. Also, future income is not a valid collateral. What you guys are asking is a bit of a stretch for you both.
I thought it sounded kinda high (for our accounts)  I'm just willing to put my account up as well and repay the loan. I can wait until the am if need be was just gonna do some stuff before i went to bed. However I would pay the loan anyways. If He manages to get the loan filled before i go to sleep I will be on the hook if not i'll just ask him to lock thread and go to bed.

Yep, but can't blame LS, this section is polluted by scammers.

0.05 is far from your account. So it would be better if you guys just close this thread. With both your accounts, I think the best you can get for a loan is 0.01 to 0.015 bitcoins. jamyr's account is worth that much but dmtripp's account is worthless as it is just a jr. member.

LS, if you can fund 0.015 I would appreciate it.

edit: and left us hanging.

How would you decide when acampaign crossesthe 15% spam threshold? Many campaigns would complain and argue aboutconflict ofinterestif they didn't get their bond backfor whatever reason. I thinkpretty much all alt campaigns haven't done enough about spam and manyof them don't do anything at all. Their entire business model seems to becentred on getting as many peopleas theycan to spam their advertall over the forum for littleto no costto them. The onlytime I'm ever made aware of these crapcoin ICOsis when I see hoardsof one-line spammers carrying their adverts so it sadly works in that regard buttheyshouldn't beallowed to continuethis way.

Solution :

1. Have a buddy-system tallying of posts.

Example :
Weekly,
(Member 1 checks post of Member 2 v. versa)
then updates a spreadsheet. Forward to manager. Manager verifies it with a staff
or any trusted 3rd party.

2. Managers should be regularly checking on his inferiors.

Etc.

Point is we need to exert extra effort for Altcoin signature campaigns.
Altcoin sig campaign pays more compared to others, so I think its only fair to to ask more from participants.
