Post prices! (In BTC.)
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: **[EXCHANGE]** BTB / BTC Exchange Google Docs #2 on: May 10, 2013, 12:08:17 AM
Well, this is now pretty officially dead. Thanks to all the moderators once again, and the person who donated us some BTB's, it's been great fun running this spreadsheet! =).
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Quesion about making an own Alt currency. on: May 10, 2013, 12:05:46 AM
Hey there!
I had an idea for a possible new alt coin (not a pump and dump), however I was wondering is there any tutorial somewhere for the base client? Or is everything done from scratch? Because I notice nearly every alt coin has the exact same wallet look, is there any set code for this people use or do they just make it themselves from scratch? Thanks!
1964  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: May 09, 2013, 09:20:24 PM
The text one was harder than I expected. It took ~3 days just to reach the point where I start to see the text. Sorry for that I'll keep it simpler next time. Consider this picture to be added just now. ;-)

Oh and I added one more picture:

BTW do you people want higher or lower bets?

Higher would be pretty awesome.
1965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 09, 2013, 03:46:44 PM
I don't have enough USB ports to power 300 of these at once.

heheheh... that'd be one heck of a set up.

You'd need a whole lotta hubs, and a whole lotta adapters for these hubs.

Cambrionix 49-port USB hub for professional nerds

It's designed for professional test labs or even businesses where host-rigs must be protected against faulty USB devices. But there's nothing stopping you from decorating a living-room wall with this second-generation 49-port USB 2.0 hub from Cambrionix. Unless you consider the cost -- £399 / $657 (plus tax) -- or the fact that it requires an ATX-2 power supply to push 500mA across all 49-ports significant deterrents.

You'd still need a very good power supply for all these USB sticks though.

Well, it seems like this spreadsheet is / soon will be fairly useless with the new exchange opening up on BTER, I'll still keep it as long as there's interest though, as BTER hasn't fully released it yet. But I do already want to give a big thanks to all moderators who helped, and a very big thanks to CvRChameleon, who dedicated a lot into this, and thanks for the person that tipped us, it is greatly appreciated.

Np Boelens, was a pleasure to help out Smiley

I think I will PM all the users currently still on the list of selling / buying and ask them if there are still orders outstanding, I am sure most have been traded somewhere else the last 2 days.  So, then we can purge the entries that is now not needed, and keep the required ones, if any remaining.  Will do this later, just busy at work currently.

Regards

I'm not sure if this is still necceasry TBH, we generally had 40-50 users on, now it's 10-14, this spreadsheet isn't really needed anymore, since it's now officially launched on BTER. I will continue support if people really want to use this, but once zero or only two or so people are viewing, I'll conclude that there is no more interest, and drop support. (I'll probably lock this topic too, I won't delete the spreadsheet though). Anyhow, we'll see how much interest there will be for now, but I doubt it is still neccesary.

Can I get some information on how group buys work? I really want me one of these, but uh, I have no idea how this works. Do I like, give the bitcoins to you?

EDIT : Also, does this miner only work for Bitcoin, or is it usable for other GPU coins too? (Or is this thing CPU?)
EDIT 2 : From where will these be shipped?
1969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: 1 BTC FREE RAFFLE - Just add this link to your sig! on: May 08, 2013, 11:50:32 PM
Talk about cheap advertising Smiley

In what way cheap? I call 1BTC, generally 117 dollars, a pretty good price to have a strange advertise. If you mean cheap as in, he's using this method to get people to do it with a small chance of winning, I call it more smart, then cheap. Plus, I've used the two services I'm advertising (well, games/service,w/e), and I like them both, so I don't mind advertising them.

Is 121,000 hashes per second a good rate?
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 08, 2013, 06:32:19 PM
Is a rate of 65,000 hashes per second okay?
EDIT : Woah, fluctuation. Got 121,000 hashes per second now, not sure what my highest is.

How much is 14488 hashes per sec?

Pretty terrible.

Aw really? I got a pretty good CPU. How much YAcoin will I get per hour?

Not quite sure, you'll just have like less luck in getting a block. But thats quite a lot lower than everyone else.

Well, now I feel sad. All my PC's and laptops got Nvidia cards so GPU mining wasn't really an option, now there's a CPU one and I was all like "I have a chance I have a chance!" I'll just go sit in the corner over there.

Its probably not your real hash rate, if you spam the command if fluctuates heaps.

Alright, that make sme feel better. I'll just leave it on for about three hours and we'll see what happens.
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][YAC][HOWTO] Howto mine yacoin on: May 08, 2013, 10:26:34 AM
I got the run thing from someone else and used one node, I got 8 active connections, does that mean it's mining?

Will update the thread as more info / questions come in.

Thanks for this!
