19681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I protect my air-gapped wallet from latest malware that travel by sound? on: December 06, 2013, 01:18:56 PM
as we know the latest malware and virus (e.g. BadBIOS) hack your computers and steal your data by travelling through computer speakers, thus jumping over air-gap protection.

how do i protect my bitcoin wallet from these threats?

You can swallow the usb with your wallet on, or stick it up your arse. This will protect against soundtheives.
19682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does the bible say about Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2013, 12:15:07 PM

Bibles are in the Myths & Folklore section of my local libraries Cheesy, but one time I saw one had been (incorrectly) put in the autobiography section  Roll Eyes.

19684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Quark the new FTC on: December 06, 2013, 11:23:41 AM
This QRK swarm reminds me of FTC when it was first launched....

discuss

(& where have all those FTC people gone?)

They're here: http://forum.feathercoin.com/

Agree with you.
This is why Quark is a scam coin:

"* 2048 QRK per block (halving every 60480 blocks ~ 3 weeks)
* Block reward will never drop below 1 QRK
* Total of 247 million QRK will be mined in ~ 6 months, after that ~ 1 million QRK p.a. (~ 0.5% p.a inflation)"

.... 247 million mined in the first 6 months.  Roll Eyes

It's a shame they had to ruin a good idea with an unfair 6 month instamine.

I second this.
19685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful folks. Just got hacked, lost some BTC today. on: December 06, 2013, 11:14:54 AM
I'm just putting out this friendly warning.

Be UBER careful with how you deal with your Bitcoin security, people.

I had a small number of Bitcoin, .025 to be exact, in a popular crypto exchange online.

What exchange?

Definitely need two-factor authentication for sites dealing with bitcoins. Especially if they are going to fire off withdrawals to whatever address you put in. Sorry to hear that happened to you though.

I always thought that 2FA on sites was less secure. That's where the weakspot was from inputs.io

Mobile phone verification seems pretty secure, unless I'm missing something. What are your concerns with it and what happened with inputs.io?
19686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: safe store bitcoins on simless smartphone on: December 06, 2013, 11:10:07 AM
Don't most phones need a sim in to be active? I know older phones wouldn't let you do anything but call emergency services unless a sim was plugged in. I can't say I've noticed with the iphone whether it works with or without a sim, and mine is stuck in so I can't get it out to try it. But yeah, if this works it could be a good idea.
19687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comprehensive Bitcoin Introduction on: December 06, 2013, 11:05:43 AM
Yeah, sounds great as a slightly in-depth intro to BTC. Maybe you could add a bit on why it's possibly a great investment opportunity and the reasons for this - or maybe that could be another article. I know some people hear all the good news about bitcoin and think it's a scam because it sounds too good to be true, so it often needs to be explained properly.
19688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I fell on this, would it be accurate on: December 06, 2013, 10:58:36 AM
Yeah, great read. Thanks for the share.
19689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to get Infinitecoin to 1$? on: December 06, 2013, 10:50:49 AM
Lol you guys are never gonna become multimillionaires from this, but nice try.
19690  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon drones, lol on: December 06, 2013, 10:47:00 AM
As far as tampering goes, fire a camera and a gps on them, and impose a huge fine to anyone who tampers with them. Video evidence + GPS = even more profitable than had someone not tampered with them.

These things are very vulnerable.

Very vulnerable. I'd try capture them just for the sport. It'd be like hunting.
19691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch the tracking of the sheep marketplace thief in real time on: December 06, 2013, 10:44:38 AM
Good point. Allying with larger criminal organizations could save his life, if he could trust them. They have many institutions in place to move money already, for generations. I was just initially considering him trying to get away with it, on his own.

As far as returning them, I don't know how good of a bookkeeper he would be, if you were planning on taking the money and run.

but i wonder if the criminal orgs would just torture him until he handed over ALL of his bitcoins. why not, anyways? he's a wanted man, by both governments and druggies.

I would've thought any decent yet unscrupulous criminal enterprise would just lure him into a false sense of security by offering him protection, then as soon as he gives up some of his wealth, take it all. They could quite easily torture the rest out of him, kill him, then he truly will have disappeared and so will they. He can't trust any one and he's gonna be looking over his back for his entire life, and it's his own fault for being greedy.

just because i don't like things up my butt doesn't mean i like vanilla sex... vanilla sex blows. btw, i'm 2 days into my nofap pledge, so i should probably talk less about sex, else i might "explode." man, it's starting to get really "hard" to resist.

How do you know if you've never tried? I've been so busy posting on this forum that I realised the other day I hadn't even had a wank all week haha.

Yep, did 2 beatings today Smiley

Laughed out loud at this haha.

same way i know that i don't like being killed.

That's a completely ridiculous argument and isn't applicable to this in any way. Sounds to me like you might be repressing some homosexual feelings/thoughts. Scared you might enjoy it and fantasise about a man? haha. Do you not try new foods or new things because they might kill you? Best not to leave the house and stay safe.

i imagine something going up my butt, and then i think "that would not be delightful."

Based on what evidence? You shit out cock-sized turds almost daily. I don't know about you but taking a shit feels great. Millions if not billions seem to have tried anal sex and are ok with it. Sounds like a belief based on pure ignorance and fear / repressed sexuality to me. It's fine if you have no interest in trying it, but comparing the pain of death with the possible pain/pleasure of buttsex is a puerile and ridiculous argument. Would you not try a new food or activity and your excuse be I know I wont like it in the same way I wouldn't like being killed?
19693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is a money or currency? on: December 06, 2013, 10:28:50 AM
Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency.  Did you like, not read the first line of Wikipedia and bitcoin.org?
Pay up, do you want your families photos on this forum?

What?

Clearly somebody is attempting to blackmail him for some reason.
19694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Any other Americans considering a claim against the FBI over SilkRoad? on: December 06, 2013, 10:24:41 AM

You will probably be arrested for frequenting a place where drugs are being dealt.

There's no such offense at the federal level (though there may be something similar).  Even if there were, it would be unconstitutional, and probably state frequenting laws are unconstitutional as well.

I'm sure they could think of something, though.  Accuse you of money laundering and either actually prosecute you just for pissing them off, or try to pin some kind of liability on you for participating in a money laundering enterprise.

OP would be well advised to consult a good lawyer with criminal drug and forfeiture experience.  It would be worth it to cultivate a contact now, in case the value of the BTC in question is actually worth pursuing it during the period where you can.

Lots of journalists and police accessed it. I don't think the site in itself was illegal per se, just 99% of the stuff it sold was, and obviously they weren't paying taxes on profits. It's probably a grey area.

I wonder if there's any lawyers on here. Might be worth making a thread in the Law section. Would be interested to see what is and what isn't legal regarding these type of black marketplaces.
19695  Other / Meta / Re: Can't set an avatar on: December 06, 2013, 10:19:34 AM
Any plans on making avatars useable in the future?

I'm sure there is, but that question has also been asked several times and has so far remained unanswered. You could PM a mod/admin if you wanted.
19696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I designed some Bitcoin t-shirts. What do you guys think? on: December 06, 2013, 10:13:04 AM
not bad.. would be cool if people could custom order their own QR code as their shirt.

That would be cool. You could go get one printed on yourself - would be safer for you then as well.

Yeah, but they're all shit and look like they were designed by plebs.
