1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I want to ask, at the end of the bitcoin and altcoin year, will the price go up on: December 03, 2022, 04:43:42 AM
according to your predictions or speculations, will bitcoin and altcoins increase in price at the end of the year or not? and if there is an increase in the price of an altcoin, do you think which altcoin will rise higher?

The current situation of the market is not conducive for any big rise in not expected by the end of the year, however the recent  statement of FED chairman ( money tightening policy is likely to be softened & further rise in interest rate may not be as high as previous ones) as well as declining trend in oil prices creates some hope that market may stabilize between 17k to 20K in coming  weeks.
1982  Economy / Economics / Re: Will central banks ultimately fail in their goal of lowering down inflation? on: December 03, 2022, 12:58:46 AM
Sometimes the government relies too much on the central bank to overcome inflation, in my opinion this is a mistake, without increased production, inflation will continue to occur, and it is proven that many central banks fail to overcome inflation so as to make the economy chaotic.

The governments all over the world rely on central banks to control inflation which is constitutional role of the bank in many countries and government can't interfere in it. Central banks usually control it by money tightening or softening policy which usually works but you are also right that that governments on their part should play their role by increasing agricultural (food price is an important component of inflation calculation) & industrial product which can equally work to bring down inflation.
1983  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: December 02, 2022, 04:00:49 PM
Long-term investors are more likely to dump their bitcoin when a new ATH is reached and will re-enter the market for another cycle after a dip. I see it as something more doable than having to hold the same amount of bitcoin for years and ignoring them from conversion while at ATH.

If indeed they believe these bitcoins are cyclical then they should be able to sell on a profitable cycle and reinvest on the next cycle allowing them to make more bitcoin than the previous conversion. I mean someone who sold their 1 bitcoin for $60K last year will probably be able to buy 3 more bitcoin this year after the 75% drop in price.

Not all long-term investors use this strategy. What you have described is essentially long-term trading, speculation on very long timeframes. If all investors followed this tactic, then we would see millions of bitcoins move during ATH in order to sell them, but this does not happen, because many long-term investors do not hold bitcoins in order to speculate with them at each new ATH. Sometimes they hold them in order to preserve the value of their assets in the long run, which Bitcoin does better than other assets.

It is right that long term investors don't sell their Bitcoins even  during the bull run when it makes ATH and we see double & triple tops on technical charts but they don't get tempted and continue holding their Bitcoins because they believe that due to rising inflation every class of asset will depreciate in the long term but Bitcoin is deflationary by its nature so it is the best hedge against all assets.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil Has Approved Bill Recognizing Bitcoin As a Payment Method. on: December 02, 2022, 10:26:32 AM
It is a big step forward towards adapting Bitcoin as method of payment from a country like Brazil who is member of G20 and very good news for crypto enthusiasts who have been saddened by negative events happened during the past months.

We should hope the government & people of Brazil will make this experiment a big success story which other countries will definitely follow.

1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: December 02, 2022, 06:21:29 AM
The collapse of a major crypto exchange, has once again taken the world by storm. There is a lot of FUD being spread by mainstream media, making people believe this is the final chapter for crypto/Blockchain tech. Now, US lawmakers are pushing towards stricter regulations with the excuse of helping protect investors' interests. Other countries could follow the US, greatly stifling the growth of the industry. I'm beginning to wonder whenever the collapse of FTX would be good or bad for crypto in the long run? This looks like another Mt. Gox situation, so it's likely things will be better in the long run after the dust settles. But I'm not so sure, especially when governments are now seeing crypto as a threat to the existence of Fiat (something they didn't think about when crypto was in its early years).

What are your thoughts? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

It is a blessing in disguise and wake up call to investigate what was going wrong in crypto industry since long time. I am pretty sure now clean up operation will start which will remove many scam projects from the scene which will be good for overall health of the industry and once confidence of investors is restored by implementation of appropriate regulation, we will see inflow of new investment in crypto projects.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: December 02, 2022, 03:45:03 AM
~Snip
Simply put the average person wants to trade to make a profit. They hope the market gives them a return that is commensurate with the risk they are considering, but I don't think they will all hit their return for good. But since market volatility is unavoidable, it is not right to recommend someone to trade just because the market allows them to make profits, and losses must also be real for the trader.

People would be mostly be minding about on how on making money with trading or via with this method.Yes,its really that possible
but the main question is, how long you would survive?  Cheesy
It will vary greatly from one trader to another, if they understand and are capable enough to apply their trading skills then they will probably last longer than leaving after the first loss.

When new traders  jump in market without any proper training & basic knowledge of Technical indicator/risk management,  they suffer losses consistently because they take high leverage position and eventually they quit and never come back. Though professional traders do suffer losses sometime, but their most of trades end up in profit because they use appropriate tools to manage risk which I think is most important for traders.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 02, 2022, 01:37:55 AM

You are right, ICO craze is unlikely to return because the experience to participate in ICO has not been profitable for many investors in the past.
Not true, in the past, the ICO craze used to bring hundreds, even thousands of times more profit like today's projects. Current forms of investment, such as IEO, IDO, and IFO... are all variations of ICOs, and if evaluated in reality, those are just ICOs called by different names. I don't see too much difference between them.

Next craze/boom of crypto is most likely to be NFT & Metaverse sector which is growing with every coming day as it has developed huge use case of NFTs, it is not just a piece of digital art but much beyond it. Virtually property in Metaverese will be used as real world property because it will have lot of value for advertisers to attract virtual crowd.

I will agree with you on this prediction, many say that the NFT hype is over but I see they still have huge potential, the chance of a comeback remains. Next is the metaverse and web3 will be the next trend, this is also my prediction.

Your prediction about web3 craze/trend is right, many top analysts  think that this sector will be in the limelight in coming months and years. The advantages of web3 are decentralization, security and transparency which which is good for long term success of any project.  Current market offers good prices of coins which is lifetime opportunity to pick good web3 projects for long term investment.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 01, 2022, 06:08:49 PM
If I am about to guess the next trend, maybe it is again ICOs. Why? Campaigns are slowly coming back this year and I think it would continue for the next year to come. More projects are being released so I think it has a chance.

Are you mistaken, I don't see any increase in bounty campaigns. and ICO will definitely never come back, it can be said that fundraising ICO is an old and extremely risky form.
Today, on the market, there are hundreds of investment funds, projects that only need a good idea and team will be supported and helped by the investment fund without spending much time and effort to mobilize capital from the community. Crowdfunding projects still exist but all are spam and scam, they have no way to raise funds from the funds so they choose bounty or airdrop for marketing.

You are right, ICO craze is unlikely to return because the experience to participate in ICO has not been profitable for many investors in the past.

Next craze/boom of crypto is most likely to be NFT & Metaverse sector which is growing with every coming day as it has developed huge use case of NFTs, it is not just a piece of digital art but much beyond it. 1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: December 01, 2022, 11:41:56 AM
There is no indication that Cryptowave will be discontinued in the near future. The market for cryptocurrencies is actually still in the early stages of its development. There are now a great number of additional brands participating in this wave. Therefore, it is reasonable to draw the conclusion that cryptocurrencies will continue to be traded on the market for the foreseeable future.

Indeed, it is in its early stages of development and far from maturity, that is why it is extremely volatile, and we witness huge spikes in its price on daily & weekly basis, but it here to stay because its popularity is growing fast as it provides opportunity to new investors to buy at good price and to long term investors to sell their holding when market in bull run and book huge gains, but we should invest only in good coins ,those have strong fundamentals.
1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the eyes of Sam himself, he is so innocent on: December 01, 2022, 10:01:48 AM
It doesn't really work that way, he can say what he wants but the evidence will be the main thing that the judges will look upon and will gonna be judged according to it. There are already many versions of stories about what happened and we need to wrap this thing up as soon as possible so that we can move on and use this lesson for our own good in the future. That's just how it is, even though you don't have any intention to defraud anyone but when all the evidence will prove you wrong, you will end up in bad situations like others in jail.

You are right, he will have to prove his innocence by presetting credible evidence which should convince the judges that he did not commit anything wrong and whatever happened it was the outcome of bad circumstances, then he can say whatever he likes but as of now the stories circulating in media point finger towards him. It is also possible that it was be a huge management failure, but we can't say anything unless the matter is fully investigated.
1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the eyes of Sam himself, he is so innocent on: December 01, 2022, 07:32:58 AM
I don't think he is the victim of circumstances. As CEO,he is totally responsible for the collapse of FTX, he should have built up a strong protective system/mechanism to avert such huge crisis which not only deprived millions of investors from their lifetime savings but also created huge negativity of crypto which will continue hurting it for many months to come.

Let's wait for the outcome of investigation to know what went wrong and who was behind this crash.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: December 01, 2022, 02:18:02 AM
If we already understand and know Cryptocurrencies for at least 2 years, then the moment like now is the best time to buy, don't panic or believe in FUDS as long as we hold a top coins that already have a marketcap at least $ 1 billion, Luna and FTT cases don't make us pessimistic .

Accumulating top coins like Bitcoin & Ethereum during the bear run is best strategy to yield gains in future. market will certainly not remain in bear run for long it will definitely bounce back. The FED chairman announced that interest rate hike will be done at moderate now which reflect that inflation is coming down which is very positive news for all financial markets including crypto & hopefully market will stabilize in coming days and weeks.

1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: November 30, 2022, 06:24:53 PM
Neither we should trust DEX smart contracts to store them for too long time. As at least when we trust CEXes, they get sued after messing up, You can't sue a faulty hacked smart contract. And what comes to praising decentralization in general, it almost always has centralized elements. Like wrapped btc that just got depegged supposedly because of Almada Research minted it a lot.
DEX also cannot be fully trusted, because some DEXs are managed by scammers who will easily take our assets. As you said, no one can sue Smart Contracts if they commit fraud and take the assets of the users, they will just disappear. In contrast to CEX which will be demanded by its users directly. The main security is actually in its own use. they must be aware that crypto is very risky, and must be really good at keeping their own assets safe. A personal wallet is a safe place that can be managed alone.

You are absolutely right, CEX or DEx, none of them is free from risk of hacking, either DEX or non-custodial wallets are not 100% secure, so many incidents have been reported in media about hacking of investors' money was stolen by DEFIs as well online wallets were hacked. Big exchanges like Binance and Coinbase have reliable security system as well as funds are protected by insurance cover.
1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria continuous banning of crypto on: November 30, 2022, 03:34:52 PM
It is becoming more strict to transact crypto in Nigeria as the CBN now plant agents on Binance P2P to trade with you and intentionally add crypto keywords to the payment transaction so it can alert the bank to block the receiver's account.

This however is becoming outrageous for the Nigerian government and with no single doubt, the non-compliance of the young Nigerians not believing and making use of their newly launched E-naira must have triggered this action.

These wise traders are just exhausted of having their money controlled by the government.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/nigerian-banks-tracking-customer-accounts-for-crypto-trading

Banning crypto by any government means they want to deprive their population from a technology which is going to be the best payment system in future as well as this technology can potentially create new job opportunities for IT graduates.

Some government authorities ban crypto due to lack of regulation & think that crypto is highly volatile currency which is risk to investors. The solution is come up with regulation and control  it like other financial market.
1997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: November 30, 2022, 10:47:00 AM
Do you really see Bitcoin as a religion?

No, but I see Bitcoin as essential tool to improve the financial system of every country.  Not because we are believing in Bitcoin means we are faithfully attached to it.  Trust and faith may sound the same but they have a different level of meaning.  Besides, I always think that missing out on something is a doom for that person.  Somewhere in the future the same opportunity will knock again so all those who missed out just have to be vigilant and observant next time.

Indeed, it is not religion, but a revolutionary & high-tech product of block chain technology which can solve many issues of current financial system based on fiat money which is inflationary, centralized which increases power of the government over its people which is not good at all. Some investors are so much emotionally attached to Bitcoin that they refer it as new religion.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC LEADING THE ALTCOINS MARKET on: November 30, 2022, 07:00:55 AM
I don't get it, why do people do not come up with a solid reasoning for their statements anymore? You can say whatever you want to say, it is your right and you should do whatever you want to do, however wouldn't it be more reasonable if you just came up with "why" you think like that?

If you think matic is leading all alts, I can point out that ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, DOGE all of these are still above it in market cap. If it is only about the past 7 days increase then OKB is doing better too and many lower level ones if we are looking at that. So, just because there is a coin that went up a little bit doesn't make it lead anything, I am sure I could find some low cap coin and buy 10k dollars worth of it and make it go up %500 easily, doesn't make it any better.
Agree, it is true, I think that MAIIC is always optimized, and often there will be problems in transactions, and the basic minor problems should be less than 5% of the user dissatisfaction to be considered qualified. In addition, let’s not talk about the currency price, at least you should have the operational ability to open up more markets, have a better structure, and spend more funds to do meaningful things. Personally, I feel that a lot of MATIC’s marketing expenses are not spent in the right direction, which is very formalistic. .

In my opinion, judging from the MATIC price, it doesn't fall too much during the bear market and indeed the MATIC coin holders are very strong. but of course certainly will not be able to compete with
, ethereum, bnb, xrp, and there is cardano. because the coin is very strong. and very many holders. maybe the op only looks at matic coins and doesn't compare with other coins that rank far above matic. because lately the price has been a good increase.

It is true that Matic shows resilience when crypto market slides down and it quickly recovers as soon as market conditions start getting better. Matic block chain is a fast, cheap & safe network, as well as its partnership is growing fast. Its price is not there where it should be, because in the context of its strong use case it can potentially reach much higher in coming months & years.
1999  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 30, 2022, 04:42:26 AM
The difficult thing now is because the price looks difficult to rise, even 2 days ago the price drops below $ 16k, fortunately the price can return to $ 16k again, hopefully FTX will be finished soon and there are no big cases that make the market drop, if it doesn't happen FTX I'm sure at this time the price is more than $ 25K.
Do you know that their is nothing we are experiencing in cryptocurrency now we have not experienced before, the price of Bitcoin stand to flow up and down, and it's very clear that Bitcoin price can rise today and fa back tomorrow, let us have its in mind that's the nature of Bitcoin.

I am optimistic that we might see market recovery in coming days because the main factor that caused huge increase in inflation is now trading below $80 which will certainly reduce CPI in coming months. We should continue holding our Bitcoin with patience and add more if funds are available. Technical charts are also showing that Bitcoin is trading above its pivot point ($16,357) and next resistance is at $16,661 on day chart.
