1983  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto wanted to collect his keys, how would he do it? on: January 27, 2015, 03:04:23 AM
trustless means you dont have to trust core developers.

If they have the power to fork, trust might be good.  Cool
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite Satoshi Nakamoto quote? on: January 27, 2015, 03:00:45 AM
Last post before running off with the bitcoin motherload, "there are still more ways to attack than I can count."

1986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered hard drugs? on: January 18, 2015, 05:25:29 AM

Let me elaborate...

Do you think the Bitcoin price crash will drive more traders to offset their losses by selling narcotics?

I think it's more likely to drive people to drinking.  Smiley
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not have an easy road on: January 18, 2015, 05:22:50 AM

I agree. This is NO time to take a knee.

Ghandi never took a knee, Jesus never took a knee, and as far as I know, God almighty never took a knee!
1988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel Prize - Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 18, 2015, 05:18:54 AM
Lets face it, it won't be too long before Sweden will start talking about giving the Nobel Prize in Economics to Satoshi.  That is pretty much a certainty.

Why would they give the prize to someone who vanished with 1 million Bitcoins at a time when the community needed him most?

1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serves you right bitches on: January 18, 2015, 05:14:31 AM

Wanted to make a quick buck? Thought you found the short-cut to endless riches? Serves you right bitch, the punishment is only proportional to your greed and the damage done to Bitcoin by the bubble you derps caused.

Are you directing this to the Chinese? LMAO Tongue
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins reputation? on: January 07, 2015, 04:37:11 AM
All the time I read people are saying how such and such is damaging the reputation of Bitcoin dun dun duhhh. I just don't get it, Bitcoin doesn't need a 'good reputation' anymore than the Internet needed a good reputation to get it off the ground. Could it slow the progress of uptake? Sure but then who cares how slow it takes for people to get it.  Even MtGox in my opinion had no significant affect on Bitcoins success.  You can't have new developments and put them back in the bottle.

People need Bitcoin if they want to store their wealth, Bitcoin doesn't need people to like it.

Excellent point. Even Satoshi ran off with about 1 million bitcoin that he mined while maintaining the lion's share of the network hashrate.

That doesn't mean everyone in bitcoin is bad. Lips sealed

1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Started getting paid 100% in Bitcoin starting with my last paycheck on: January 04, 2015, 05:08:15 PM
My employer has no idea I am getting paid in BTC. Bitwage is like a reverse BitPay. BitWage gets paid in fiat from my company via direct deposit and converts it to BTC for me.

You sir are a true Bitcoin Hero! A Legendary Hero! Cheesy
1994  Economy / Speculation / I'm calling the bottom here at $255.00 on: January 04, 2015, 04:41:19 PM

Okay. This selling has gone too far. Now it's time to buy! Cheesy

If you want even more proof I bought it legally i'll upload a picture of the receipt tomorrow. I won't do it tonight because it is so dark.

If you can upload a photo of yourself in the store while making the card purchase I would be interested.

Also, I will need a stool sample and a copy of your birth certificate.
1997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bounced off $277 on: January 04, 2015, 01:32:42 AM
I think we'll probably see a bounce sometime before Monday, then continued selling pressure as the merchant dumping builds. Let's pray to god we don't get an Amazon integration or we'll be headed below $100.00.

We need to fix this lopsided scale and get more bitcoins into the hands of the people. Here's how you can help: https://www.bitwage.co/

1998  Economy / Speculation / Re: I TOLD YOU SO! on: January 04, 2015, 01:28:56 AM
if bitcoin doesn't bounce HARDCORE VERY SOON just forget it and move to the  next coin. Problem is maybe in parts not even identified and could be with the wrong people holding the coins - possible large amounts of stolen coins sold and so on.

Just do the switch to the other coin if bitcoin has problems which can't be solved or even fully identified.

I think bitcoin will remain king for a couple more years before other alts begin taking the lead.
1999  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300 is broken, to never see again on: January 04, 2015, 12:14:29 AM
Who else thinks a rebound is a sure thing over next 36Hrs?

The rebound will come when enough buyers are born to offset the massive network of merchant sellers.

Or when this entire community signs up for: https://www.bitwage.co/
2000  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you invest your bitcoin? on: January 03, 2015, 11:12:51 PM
I've recently got into Bitcoin and I really like it. I can see its benefits for everyone. I use it for purchases when available, but I am also trying to find a good way to invest. I'm not interested in cloud mining. Any suggestions?

I like just sitting by the fire and watching my investment vaporize into thin air.
