This is what I received in that group, I thought to check this out as I smelled some scam.

Everything was good, until they, in their group, started asking to send Eth and get back double the Eth.

Now, the shittiest part here, as you already know that gas fee is too high in the Eth network specifically for DeFi protocol, what these guys threw in the bot was hilarious! They sent me this:

Quote
1 SET YOUR WALLET
2 CHECK YOUR WALLET
3 SEND GAS FEE TO WITHDRAW 🦄

Then, when I gave my address, they showed me this:

Quote
yearn.finance (YFI):
🦄 My ETH Address
💹 Distribute in 09/03/2020
⛽ Send 0.005 Ethereum  to process your withdrawal.

0x0FBdbB563b1e951129D25b8CB13BD11219294865

◾ Users who caught taking only proof of others will be permanently banned

◾ Your Screen Shot of Deposit or Transaction hash 📸

TBH, I can clearly say these mofos are none from YFI's team and you won't get anything once you send them the Eth, so just don't fall for this! Wink

And the same shit is inside YFII's channel too but I'm not going to share it. Just don't fall for these coins, they're worth so high that it's common sense nobody would give them for free.

I guess the rule of thumb here is just not to trust anything that promises you money for not doing anything. Promising to double your money if you jist send them money is sketchy enough. Never trust too good to be true gains. Ever.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: September 02, 2020, 10:23:27 AM
Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

I mean if you have the money to spare, risking the possibility of losing money just to see you have coins collected, i guess its not a problem. Its your money after all. But if you wont let go of them, their always gonna be money listed on water. They have value now, but you wouldnt be sure if theyd still mean something the next time.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum overpower Bitcoin in the future? Which side are you on? on: September 01, 2020, 01:37:58 PM
Its hard to see this happening soon, its also hard to give assumptions now since eth is far too behind bitcoin. BTC has a lot of following backing it up and its already established the name and proved its worth. Tho its possible if eth manages to overcome this, but that future is far too beyond. Maybe someday, but not anytime soon.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: August 30, 2020, 01:28:26 PM
This gas craze going on with decentralized exchanges are crazy, this is why I still prefer to trade on tier 1 centralized exchange. FOMOS and hype will be gone soon, I just hope this gas fees being charged by dex will be lessen its a big turn off.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: August 30, 2020, 01:58:13 AM
You are browsing through Twitter or telegram and you come in contact with news like this '𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝  Mr George Anderson ịt has been a life changing experience and a God sent to humanity 𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙭 𝙝im 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚'
Join link???

When ever you come across such it's a total scam, it's never real to begin with, it's just a fake good news to lure you into a trap, do not bother to read

The fact is people who make it big aren't always ready to share news about how they do it

I mean people who do this are kinda obvious. I just ignore them unless i know them personally. Most of these 'testimonies" sounds bogus anyways since they all sound repetitive.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: August 28, 2020, 09:59:23 AM
I think its too soon to call ripple as the next bitcoin but its not too far off tho. Ripple is on the rise but the way bitcoin made its run before is way different than how ripple is doing now considering there are a ton of other coins out there.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: August 28, 2020, 03:21:56 AM
I think now is the best time to get into crypto. The pandemic is bad i know but it is making crypto more investable than it is within the past two years.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the best time to invest? on: August 23, 2020, 12:58:54 AM
Any day is a great time for opportunity but the best time to invest was back 2018-2019 everything was in bargain, while happening today is more like a FOMO and hype from defis. If youre good swing trader, then this is the best time for you most defi's are pumping and market is very volatile.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: August 23, 2020, 12:55:10 AM
Some campaigns are no longer worth the effort, I even joined last year from a reputable Bounty manager still ending up with zero payment. I was not really expecting that much from past campaign since the ICO hype died, but I had one project that I joined from 2018 paid just this year and it was a good amount, worth waiting for.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 22, 2020, 01:07:29 PM
Look for noia its a very promising token, backed with great team and community choose this coin if you want long term hold but if you want swing trade or short term go with defis that has low cap, the probability of pumping it ia high since defi hype is everywhere.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: August 21, 2020, 10:26:30 AM
There are different types of investors with varying priorities goals, habits, and tolerance of risk. Read this thread to know the type of crypto investor you are.

1. Newbie: In any industry you must first be a newbie before you become a pro. To get started with crypto you need a little capital to start. This group include those with a little or no knowledge about the crypto industry but eager to seek to diversify their investments into new high risk assets that offer a good return

2. Crypto Enthusiast: Like a newbie, the crypto enthusiast joined the market not long ago and still doesnt have enough knowledge about the crypto industry although he has built a diversified portfolio which he checks their performance everyday.

3. Hodler: They are people who will rather hold any crypto no matter the ups and down they believe one day it will get to their desired price

4. Early Adopter: The early adopter are people who got into bitcoin when it was less than $100 about some few years ago. At that time everyone thought bitcoin was a scam but they took the courage to buy some because they believed in the technology.

5. Professional Trader: These guys have seen crypto trading as a part time or full time job. They dont have concern with holding cryptos for a long time. Their main and only goal is short term profits.

What type of investor are you? Im definitely an HODLER

Ive been on crypto for a really long while now. Been on crypto not long before bitcoin reached its maximum exchange. But ill still say im an enthusiast. I read about new coins all the time and i too am trading holistically. But im still not too deep on to crypto that id go beyond level 2. For me its just a hobby.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull run is coming? on: August 20, 2020, 11:16:09 PM
We all hope for a bull market, Defi's are fueling this altcoin movement and I guess bitcoin will surpass it's current ATH again dragging the alt coins to its new highs. I just hope it will not go down too fast like what happened last 2017.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's biggest contender? on: August 20, 2020, 07:47:06 PM
There's alot of better coins than ethereum itself like elrond. The only problem I see about ethereum is its crazy gas prices which driving some people away from using it. its becoming like bitcoin a coin that is only used for storage of money.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite Many Participants, You Can Still Get Huge Rewards In Bounty. on: August 16, 2020, 08:43:48 AM
There are some certain criteria where bounty rewards allocated which are presented as percentage of total bounties, the reason why social media reward and Signature campaign sometimes pay low due to the fact some hunters have multiple accounts being enrolled to social media campaign and its the easiest way to join a campaign, while on the other hand content creation like Video content is not so appealing to some since it takes a lot of effort and sometime the requirement is very hard to meet.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 16, 2020, 08:28:15 AM
I dont thing its worth it to hodl for investment if you're only option are stable coins it's like holding fiat, better invest to some known or reputable coins/tokens but if your concern is volatility of the token then maybe crypto is not for you, better invest in dollar fund instead of stable coind.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: August 16, 2020, 07:45:49 AM
you can try decentralized exchange or Uniswap/Bancor these are the example of instant swap it's like other known exchange but you dont need to put your funds or coins into the exchange itself.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: August 16, 2020, 05:23:17 AM
I get this. Like its still hard to believe that people still fall for this to the moon promises. People often if not alwats fall for scams that offer extremely high returns even if all it has to say its literally a scam. Its safe to say that flashy impossibly high return promises is a turn on even if it screams scam.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Those initial exchange offering (IEO) reduce opportunities for bounty hunters? on: August 16, 2020, 04:21:55 AM
There are few IEO offering bounties but with different approach, some project or manager prefer larger platform rather than spamming in BTT or social media platforms. We cant blame IEO eliminating bounties, since some hunters abused and never really cared about the project they're promoting. Also to answer your last question, Yes IEO doesnt guarantee a success, some project failed and thrive to be relevant in crypto space.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best performing "old" coins on the market? on: August 16, 2020, 02:06:39 AM
I would say etherium is doing well right now. Its been raising on value this past few days. Even gas on etherium is getting more expensive, that part i didnt like. I really think etherium is doing well, i kinda hoped i invested more in it instead of just gas money.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Gas transactions price is about to hit 300 on: August 16, 2020, 01:26:56 AM
This is the downside of Ethereum network crazy gas prices and sometime a long que to get tx verified , Its too expensive for micro transactions. There are alternatives but I hope Vitalik and team would come up with an idea to control this ridiculous gas prices.
