I downloaded Lux from the main website. Cleared out appdata except for my wallet file. Lux has been running 72 hours, and has been 3 weeks behind for over 24 hours. Lux shows 9 connections to the network. Why is this the worst and slowest wallet I've ever tried to use? ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

Hi Claymore,
Hoping to get a reduced dev fee for those 280/380's.
Thanks for the miner!

Experimental data. I posted an extensive list of parameters for this setup on the previous page. I wish overclocking GPU RAM increased hashrate too, but it didn't.
I was really hoping I could get 280h/s out of my 380X's using the settings you shared for your 280x, however, they lower my hash rate to about 209h/s per card. For me, setting my GPU clock to 900mhz and my RAM clock to 1625mhz produces the best result on the 380x in terms of performance/efficiency at 220h/s. Sure I can overclock my GPU to bring them up to 228h/s if I increase the ram to 1640mhz and uses an 1100mhz gpu clock as you suggested, but it uses so much more power I'm worse off. Just increasing the GPU to 1100 from 900 does nothing for me. I truly think this maybe a card dependent question. @Claymore, my offer still stands, how much ZEC will it take to get you to make some improvements for the R9 380X (Tonga) in your next release? I run both of those cards on one system using the 15.12 drivers and am getting 289 H/s on the 280x, and 217 H/s on the 380. It doesn't appear that the power management functions are working on the command line either. I might try the new drivers to see, but it could be a hassle for nothing. I use the MSI afterburner to manage the power. It is working very well. What version of MSI are you using. I have the 15.12 drivers and Windows 7 installed, but Afterburner doesn't allow clock modification or power controls. Are my drivers too old? Perhaps the new ones would work?

Local wallet, downloaded new version (4...) do not synchronized. Please, tell me what nodes I should to write in my lux.conf ? Thank's a lot! Moreover, the wallet eats 32% of the processor. That's horrible!!! ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Please do the steps below 1. IMPORTANT: MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WALLET.DAT 2. Close your wallet (kill it with task manager if it does not want to close) 3. EXCEPT THE wallet.dat, Delete everything (files and folder) in %appdata%\lux 4. Download this and unzip it in a separate folder on desktop , take the 2 folders inside ( blockchain & chainstate )and place them in the lux folder next to wallet.dat https://1drv.ms/u/s!AglR-3pter_OaQAc04HURIC4V-o5. Download this wallet https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/367357354267639810/417080402507988994/lux-qt-wins-v4.2.0.0-27317fb.zip and unzip it before starting. 6. Start the wallet and give it time for syncing What's the advised miner for Phi1612?
For nvidia https://github.com/216k155/ccminer-phi-anxmod/releasesFor amd https://github.com/216k155/sgminer-phi1612-Implemented/releasesWhere is the windows wallet? Link from official website says page not found???
Will fix it, thanks. Here it is https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases/tag/v4.2.0this only being listed on cryptopia thing is complete nonsense. first off, cryptopia is a pretty bullshit exchange and second off, what happens if cryptopia delists it, gets hacked, a government freezes cryptopia or anything else? then LUX goes poof. there should definitely be some focus to getting this thing listed elsewhere.
Its planned to list Lux on other exchange in mid-late March. I'll give it another try. I'm also having a hell of a time. The software thrashes my hard disk and runs one CPU thread at 100%. It never get's a connection to the network even after thrashing my system for 24hours. I'm afraid that it will brick my SSD. Running at 100% for 24 hours is inappropriate application behavior, which is what I've been seeing. I am looking forward to getting access to my Lux coins agian...

-Motherboard seems just fine -You'll need one x1 to x16 USB riser for 2 graphics cards (one will be plugged in at x16 and one will be plugged in at the riser) -Processor seems fine -Hard drive is fine -RAM is fine -PSU is useless. Throw it and buy a new one with 1000 watts power supply. -Those 2 GPU's should work just fine on this built (after the required changes) -Complete upgrade isn't required -No, go with 2 GTX 1080 2 gtx 1080 is better than 2 asus strix rog 1080 TI oc version ? As 1080 is only 8 gb and 1080 ti is 11 gb or my motherboard doesn't support 11gb ? Even my mining speed will be slow with 8gb when compared to 11 gb ? I don't think so there'll be much of difference in hashrates between the versions & between 8 GB/11 GB, just make sure it's 1080. If I were you, I'd get the cheapest 1080 available. I've both, RX 480 8 GB and RX 480 4 GB, there's a very slight difference in hashrate (like 7%), while I remember there was a good difference in price. So this memory doesn't matter too much IMO. But yeah, if you're planning to overclock afterwards, you might have to explore more about the versions. I'll warn you again here though, do NOT go with HP server power supply until and unless you've extremely cheap electricity. The speed difference between 1080's and 1080ti's is A LOT. In equihash you get 480H/s from a 1080, and 735H/s on a 1080ti.

I remember buying a Peltier cooler at Frys and putting in on my Pentium Pro instead of a heatsink.

I have succesfully used a single sata to power 2 risers. I noticed the risers were running very hot, so I only power 1 riser per sata from the PSU.
Seems safer. All video cards get the majority of their power from the supplemental power if they can.

ok I plugged my suspected bad (because in ran at 82 degrees) gtx 1060 back in to pcie where a good card was and my pc crashed within an hour. Is it possible for a card to crash windows? Or just coincidence that it ran 24 hrs then crashed with that card. I also bought that card on craigslist which always ends with technological failure in my experience, lol.
Yes, one bad card will take down the entire pile of cards. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

IFX According to my (quick) calculation, a 12 GPU rig will make around 20€ a day before electricity. Am I missing something? Sounds like you passed math in High School.
|
|
|
My very first guess would be power related, a minor brownout or sudden voltage sag due to electric turning on could be at work here.
|
|
|
With 15K, I'd invest, not mine. The best cards are 1080ti's right now, and run $1000 in the U.S. ROI will be far away when the Eth miners relocate to the semi-profitable coins currently mineable by GPU's.

I'll tell you how it was with me - after updating the win 10 I could not go to the rig neither through the radmin nor through the rms so I had to roll back the system, black screen and could transfer files, the control mode did not work. but in the license of Win 10 it is said that it is updated itself, but I would not like it. I found an option how to nail the update system Open the command line as an administrator and follow these two commands sequentially:
takeown /f "%windir%\System32\UsoClient.exe" /a
then icacls "%windir%\System32\UsoClient.exe" /inheritance:r /remove "Administrators" "Authenticated Users" "Users" "System"
The first command will change the access rights to the UsoClient.exe file that manages the update procedure, the second command will remove the inherited file system permissions for the specified groups. Thus, no one will be able to run the UsoClient.exe file, therefore, the automatic updating of Windows 10 will not be performed. You can verify this yourself by trying to run the UsoClient.exe file from the System32 directory.
then went to the control panel - the scheduler - the library - microsoft - windows - windowsupdate and deleted all rules created there
windows 10 no longer requests updates
Isn't it a bit easier to open the services applet and set windows update to disabled?

You can probably do a MITM on your rig to figure out whether info in the miner's console represent reality (but something tells me that's beyond your abilities)
So you are going to judge my intelligence based on 1 post asking a simple question about how a dev is calculating his fees? Shows your true intelligence level. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) And to reply to your statement, Yes I do know how to do a MITM. Thanks. Once again, amount of shares means nothing as they are of different difficulty. Educate yourself before arguing.
Once again, Since the dev didn't put anything in the log showing when he is or isn't mining for himself how am I supposed to know if he is actually only taking 2%? Am I supposed to just take his word for it since he is smart enough to create a miner so he must be honest enough to trust his word? I am not looking to start an argument over this because it's not worth my time. I had already PMed the dev asking about this to see if he could explain a bit on how he is calculating devfee and he said to post it publicly. I PMed him first because A. I knew I would get answers like I received from yourself. B. I wasn't trying to start a big deal over the 2% and call him out on it I was more just wondering how he was doing it since it's mixed in. You got the answer, and now argue the answer is not fair since it is not documented. In real life, arguing with the correct answer will generate poor results.

Where would I go to find coin difficulty on my own?
Is there a miner that finds low difficulty coins?

I cleaned out the /lux folder except the wallet.dat, and when I start Lux_qt it says 0 active connections after waiting an hour.
Is there some config file I need?
