21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ico on: October 05, 2017, 09:27:54 AM
There are a lot of websites dedicated to rating ICOs based on different parameters. At the same time, you could visit the website of that ICO, if any, read its whitepaper and do the thorough research in general. It's the only way to be sure. No one will give you any guarantees whether one or another ICO will become profitable or not, and it's only up to you whether to contribute to that ICO or not considering it's your funds and nobody else's.

Hello everyone!  Smiley

Lets talk about blockchain healthcare projects!

Whitch do you know?

There is the MedVault project awarded with the top prize at Blockchain Hackathon (see more: https://www.coindesk.com/medvault-wins-e5000-at-deloitte-sponsored-blockchain-hackathon/) and the blockchain technology MedRec used for accessing medical data, managing permissions and analyzing trends.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SmartCash on: October 02, 2017, 12:13:48 PM
Hey guys, i just wanted to know about your opinions about https://smartcash.cc/, do you guys think its worth keeping an eye on it?
Thx a lot for your opinions in advance!

Yes, I think you should monitor it because it's said there is a significant potential for growth and development in future, especially considering the concept of SmartRewards and the management structure of SmartHives.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: September 29, 2017, 01:51:05 PM
Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.

Yes, there are many ICOs, and the great part of them may turn out to be scams. So, you need to do the due diligence about any ICO you're gonna invest into, otherwise, it's a risk and the fifty-fifty chance that your investment would bring profit (or not).
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan starts registering exchanges on: September 29, 2017, 01:46:53 PM
It's really interesting. Japan introduced another approach in comparison to China's ban, and in fact it seems to become more profitable for the country in overall. However, I think not all crypto-people/companies will appreciate such effort in the form of taxes and other fees.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: September 28, 2017, 01:20:30 PM
Any altcoins should have some significant potential in terms of finance. Even if it might be risky, the preliminary investigation about the altcoins you're interested in investing, at least, short-term, should be conducted. The major factor is the low-risk, high-investment monetary potential.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ETC wallet on: September 28, 2017, 12:59:31 PM
It's definitely MyEtherWallet as it could be said it's safe and reliable so far.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Be Happen? on: September 28, 2017, 12:43:11 PM
You need to go to https://ethplorer.io/ and explore about your token and its decimals.
All other necessary information you can find directly on the website of MyEtherWallet (MEW), e.g. https://myetherwallet.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-see-a-new-token-in-myetherwallet .
Any additional questions could be searched on the same website or addressed to the MEW community.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Emeleum on: September 28, 2017, 12:25:11 PM
Hello Guys, we are developing a project that aims to revolutionize computing as we know it. An open-source platform providing all the computing resources for the user (one layer up projects like Golem, SIA, StormJ...).
I invite you to look at our website www.Emeleum.com, it would be cool to have some feedbacks  Cheesy

It seems to be a good idea of your project, though I don't see any mention about the team members themselves, only about the advisors involved. As for me, the whitepaper is rather general and short (perhaps it would be extended upon the further project development Wink)
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: September 26, 2017, 02:42:06 PM
I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?

My answer is yes, you may still gain some benefits out of ICOs. In the crypto world a situation may change every minute, and it is hard to predict whether it will be beneficial for investors later. It always is up to you how to manage your money and whether you're willing to take the risk or not.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: September 26, 2017, 02:21:40 PM
Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.

You can't really be 100% sure that one or another ICO is legitimate, it's always a risk to invest into. It's natural that any potentially legit ICO project should have a whitepaper, a team and a sort of community around it, but even if you carry out due diligence and become much more confident about its legitimacy, the ICO project may turn out to be a scam.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Begginer here. Need a bit of help on: September 25, 2017, 01:58:33 PM
Hello!

I am a bit of noob. And I just started early Tongue. I already made exchange account on Kraken, bought some small ammount of BTC coins and ETH coins. Now where to put them? My friend speaks of ICOs but there is just too much of them. So I thought I'd start on my own a bit. Which one is good ICO for beginner?

Thanks..!  Cheesy Grin
Your just a newbie, why don't start for the mean time on reading in the forum. Gain knowledge first, so that you may not be like other newbies rushing themselves into something which they don't have enough idea into trading, or ICO. But here is the link anyhow of the ICO choices so that you may familiar with it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

I agree. To become involved into any ICO you need to have at least basic knowledge of ICO and the crypto world in general, so that you would understand how the process goes and what risks are implied. Otherwise, it would be a loss of time and money.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO discussion on: September 25, 2017, 01:30:40 PM
I see ICO appear around 30 in 1 day, but I see no promising projects yet
They like to see ICO where to raise money, whereas ICO has a heavy responsibility.
I am very concerned about this condition

ICO still is a good way of fundraising, being unregulated and not legally bound. Having such advantages for the ICO owners and involved parties, it came as no surprise that a lot of ICOs come up every day.
That's why before dealing with or investing in any ICO, the due diligence should be carried out.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 22, 2017, 05:48:09 PM
Without a doubt. Forecast rating of Ethereum is really positive, considering that ETH managed to improve the bitcoin innovations and turn them into something perspective, specifically developing new features for smart contracts and increasing its capacity to process transactions. Besides, it works on new applications and makes them adjustable to the current environment.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Stakes? on: September 22, 2017, 05:34:55 PM
Now many bounty programs offering stakes instead of BTC.They are distributing their coins like 1% or 2% to the bounties.
For example : Total alloted coins for the signature campaign be 1,000,000 coins. If you earn 1 stake per week in signature campaign.Total 10 stakes in 10 weeks, and Total stakes earned by all participants in signature campaign bounty program be 10000.
Then the no of coins you will get,

           Your total stakes
----------------------------------------*Total Coins alloted in sig campaign
    Total stakes earned by all

In the above case it is,
                    10
                  -------- * 1,000,000 = 1000 coins.
                 10000
So you will get 1000 coins of that particular bounty program.Hope it's clear.

i get it now, but how about the coins is that equivalent to 1btc or something? what is the conversion of coins?

For sure, it will be specified in the sig campaign as well so that you would be able to evaluate the worth of the stakes gained. Just review the sig campaign before entering.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best countries for blockchain startups in terms of ICO regulations? on: September 22, 2017, 04:53:25 PM
I'm in favor of Singapore. Currently the Singapore government shows only the welcoming attitude towards the cryptocurrencies and other crypto-assets. Furthermore, its central bank MAS has set up a few programs to provide support to the fintech industry, such as the introduction of a tokenized version of the ETH-based Singapore dollar. So far it seems to be the most crypto-accepting country.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you go for ICO Tips? on: September 22, 2017, 04:42:25 PM
I usually visit these sites: http://icorating.com/, http://www.toptenreviews.com/, and https://www.cryptocompare.com in order to see and evaluate the general picture of an ICO project.
At the same time, I conduct the due diligence about the ICO itself to minimize the possible risks to the fullest extent. Also, there is a lot of useful visual information on Youtube.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ChainLink - Whats going on? on: September 20, 2017, 03:52:51 PM
Even though the problem seems to be resolved (for now, at least), it's really unprofessional on the company side because the company presents itself as the one "solving the connectivity problem" (https://link.smartcontract.com/), but the so-called connection with the team was impossible to establish.

I would recommend to read the ICO analysis on this company: https://hacked.com/ico-analysis-chainlink/ (just in case  Wink )
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think an ICO, or coin, is all about the marketing? on: September 20, 2017, 03:30:15 PM
I mean most these ICOs are not even original ...
Adult dating, real estate, gambling, etc etc ...
Really there is nothing new to the table, so what is it about ?
How much you spend on marketing ?

That's pretty much my thought. I see new alt-coins popping out every day... as you said, for gambling, for music,etc.. they've became like facebook credits, you buy them and use them on one specific website just for that company that created it so they can roll those coins on their own website while the price is rising... similar strategy to steam, where you can deposit money and sell games but you can't withdraw.

I would tell you "yes," marketing plays a significant role in ICO or coin popularity. The more efficient marketing is, the more clients will be engaged into this project or coin whatsoever, thus increasing its value.
