21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 23, 2018, 04:24:45 AM
Wow, the perfectly tested update didn't trigger perfectly.

I am a software tester for a software developer and even after testing new software in a test environment intensively without any issues, it still happens that in a live situation things happen that didnt happen in the test environment. It was a minor hickup that was tackled relatively quick. No Gulden were at risk, no Gulden were lost.

Dedication.

They passed my test in my earlier post. Well done to the Gulden team for overcoming whatever issue they had.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 22, 2018, 10:51:55 AM
I have noticed the blocks are coming in again, is the problem already solved?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 22, 2018, 07:34:02 AM

Chain stuck and forked right after phase3 came in action!

Glad they didn’t release it before they made sure it was perfect

 Huh

The fork was not an issue. That's just how this update work. From phase 3 miners that keep on mining with the outdated software will just continue to mine for nothing and waste their energy. Only the stall of the main network was a problem, but that's being handled. Some things just can't be tested in testnet.

Correct. The fork was intended. Guldenchain.com still pointing to the old chain was intended (so they could check what was going on there) dactual and blockchain.gulden.com are pointing to the new. So the fork has nothing to do with the issues.

Rich Misinformedman

Nuff said

This is a test for me to see if they can handle a problem. A update this big was expected to have things go wrong... Look at ETH and DAO where $millions was lost. It's one of the reasons I have held back on setting up a witness account until things were confirmed stable.
They sort this problem out today I will buy more coins as they prove they can figure shit out with their updates.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend low marketcap coins to invest on: July 19, 2018, 07:56:32 AM
Gulden is by far the best.

In about 24 hours Guldens blockchain will become the new standard in blockchain tech.

PoW2 - Witnessing PoW blocks which will make Gulden harder to attack then bitcoin and litecoin and witnesses get rewarded for being witnesses. It also makes SAFE 1 confirm transactions possible.
SegSig - 58% saving on all transactions, more then twice as good as SegWit.

Top 5 developer in the crypto space Malcolm Macloed.

What they haven't done is hype or promote Gulden like the scams and con artists are doing which explains the low marketcap but make no mistake the Gulden blockchain will be way ahead of the top 50 as of tomorrow.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coin is in High Momentum on: July 19, 2018, 07:41:42 AM
Gulden is delivering the development. Tomorrow PoW2 witnessing activates and they have delivered on their whitepaper. This also comes with SegSig, 58% transaction savings compared to SegWit which is only 25% and many more innovative projects lined up.

In terms of delivering highest profits, best to look at coins with the best marketing and who are backed by people with large amounts of funding. ICOs are good for price increases because 90% is not in circulation so the prices can be easily manipulated up and down.
OmiseGO should bring in decent returns as they are doing development but if you look at pure development and innovation Gulden is by far the best value out there at $26million marketcap.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 11, 2018, 12:36:43 PM
I gotta feel for Malcolm, one of the best updates in crypto history and traders are taking a dump on it. Although the guy will be able to walk into any crypto development team, it would just leave a big void for large holders of gulden. I hope he stays with Gulden and not let the price be a indication of what people think of his development.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 10, 2018, 01:22:07 PM
Can you explain why this coin is battling when it is ahead of the rest in development. Is it really marketing?

Yep, it mostly is Marketing (or the lack of it).

If you want to invest in something, you can do it for different reasons, but most of us are probably in it to make some money.

Would you then rather invest in:

A: A bad product that sells very well (Lot's of consumers due to good marketing)
B: A good product that sells very poor (Very few consumers due to lack of marketing)

I'll chose A to be honest.

There is an option C btw:

A good product that sells very well (Loads of consumers due to a good product and excellent marketing). This option I would prefer, but will never happen when Rijk and his gestapo keep kicking everyone out that even dare to discuss good marketing.

So, again, I'll stick to option A for now.

I tend to agree that A will beat out B and proof of it is all over coinmarketcap. Doesn't the community care to look at option C, it's a no brainer to me. The marketing with Gulden wouldn't be #fakenews either.

Rijk hates marketing and the people that are involved even more. He has setup an extremely closed community that is controlled by a few brainwashed gestapo like figures.

He once said (back in 2015) he only want's to market Gulden once it's perfect. Well, that will probably take decades still if he keeps pursuing perfection. At what point will he accept the product is ready for marketing? Probably only when the 650 BTC stack is gone and he needs new means of revenue.

There is NO reason whatsoever to not market a good product. All fanboys, including Rijk himself are full of how much better Gulden is compared to other crypto. Then why for the sake of Satoshi doesn't he want to sell it??? You tell me  Huh

Stalin - 650 btc
Citizens - All poor

The communist assumption can't be true. Communists destroy, not build and I see a lot of building going on with Gulden.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 10, 2018, 05:04:43 AM

Plz Rich P.  i respect your opinion so please respect mine.  I shall never try to spread fake news on purpose so please do not accuse me of doing that   Angry

I read that article and took that number not knowing if it is true or not but just for calculating sake. What i do know for sure is that more and more people are interested in crypto coins and also bought Gulden so my assumption that if more people could buy Gulden if they hear about 3-8% interest is not a wrong one and creates a new demand.

A lot of small users buying extra Gulden is the same as one Whale buying a lot of extra Gulden

Relax, not accusing you of anything, I just referred to the accusations I get all the time for trying to tell the truth that gets blocked in the heavily moderated world of Rijk.

And I agree with you that if more and more people get involved and invest small amounts that would be a good thing. But that's not going to happen with foot golf sponsorships alone.

Over time so many people have left Gulden for the nazi style run community, that it's safe to say most of the wallets ever created are obsolete ones residing on old servers and laptops.

You really think this few peers would be online if 150k users were active?

Because a lot of Pi nodes have been added, the full nodes have fewer visitors.
A side effect is that the nodes that report to Guldennodes.com miss out on a lot of visitors, so Guldennodes.com records a far too low number of nodes/peers.

Good for the Network, but not so, if you base your investments on these ‘low’ numbers.

Thanks for all your updates Jean.luc and can't wait to start witnessing. I have been really busy with some projects that haven't had much time to keep track of things but it looks like some free time is coming back at a good time.

Well done to the development team!!

The Low nodes is more to do with the low price, I remember seeing over 20000 in December when the price was high. I am sure people were glued to their wallets looking at the ticker and buying coins.

Gulden used to be in the top50 on coinmarketcap now it's rank 250...Do you know why people don't like this coin anymore ?

yes I know why :

1st  it's because of the infamous Rijk the founder.
He treats people like rubish, bans people from slack for nothing ... etc. He is social impaired.
A lot of people leave, and now share the bad buzz around the G , only because of Rijk attitude

2nd it's because of the delays. v2.0 is now more than 1 year late !! so lot of people are frustrated, and do not trust anymore the announcement !

Oh wow, I didn't know about that...thanks for the great info. Maybe this project is going to fail in the long term, I don't see why would anyone use gulden when there are more than 1500 different crypto out there

Dont listen to forum trolls. Rijk bans people from Slack because they are misbehaving (Like shilling other coins than NLG). Most likely Fantonas misbehaved in the Slack Channels and got banned, now hes doing all he can to troll NLG.

NLG is one of the best high potential with highest possible low risk/high reward ratio in my opinion.

Okay maybe he is a troll then but how about the delay ? Is it real or fake news ? Did you guys really delay for more than a year ?

I would consider Gulden the CD Projekt Red of the crypto world for a number of reasons.

2.0 is the Witcher 3, the next project will hype itself like cypherpunk 2077 because the world will be expecting glorious things from this team. 2.0 is needed to show the world what this dev team is capable of.

You can read my previous posts, no coin comes close to offering what Gulden does at the current market valuations on coinmarketcap. In a fair world it would be top 20 but the world isn't fair, something we all have to live with.

Made a correction for you. The way I see it , in the last 2 years I have been in this space. 99% is hyping a coin for trading to get max volumes and prices but never actually delivering on anything. Gulden is for usability.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: April 17, 2018, 11:54:53 AM
If all of the news from past few days were shilled like any other coin does, NLG would had been over 1€ a coin now. This coin really needs some big investors and some big social media influencers. Sad

True, but the community must know they sitting on a great project. Rijk was aiming at the middle / working class with Gulden from what I read on past announcement pages. The every day person using Gulden for payments.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: March 28, 2018, 06:46:51 AM
Not my cup of..ehh coffee.

But they offer a 10% discount on Gulden-shop.nl now. Code: verjaardag
Nice, if you still want to order that pre-installed raspberry Pi for Witnessing...

Good possibility these will be sold quickly when an official date has been committed too.

you can kiss that official date good bye. it will be either there unannounced or not at all

Anything after June makes Dash a better dev team. Have to respect how fast Evan Duffield did masternodes and evolution will be done by July.

Gulden devs need to speed up or they will always be one step behind.

I can't disagree that Dash is a good coin but this next update from Gulden is a 3 in 1. PoW2 is the equivalent of the masternodes development although they are completely different.

Then the Gulden devs are still doing SegSig and Sonic in the same update.

I am fortunate it enough not to have been waiting as long as the rest of the community but there is nothing else out there close to delivering anything besides Dash again as you have mentioned.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: March 23, 2018, 05:57:58 AM
I see a lot of hate towards the traders not valuing Gulden correctly. Let's talk again when PoW2 and whatever other millions of features they added to it eventually releases.

The problem isn't the traders , the problem is the PoW2 release keeps escaping us.

Hate on traders if things look the same after the release, until then shut your fucking mouths you whiney bitches.

I do agree with this , excluding the profanity. While it's good a Sneak Peak of PoW2 has been revealed and the devs are planning ahead this can't replace the actual development completing.
I do appreciate the extra communication from the developers lately and I am personally willing to wait few months without worrying , at the same time don't expect traders to have the same confidence as me.

Thanks for the PM about DASH, their evolution project which they say will be out in July looks similar to the Alias project the gulden devs could be doing next. Dash is the only real contender in terms of innovative development that I have seen so I can see why you have invested in Dash, good choice.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: March 21, 2018, 01:44:09 PM

I am on slack and reading the trading channel from users like Lessram who don't give a shit about development. He is there only for profit and I don't think he is the only one.

Gulden needs to attract crypto believers who would appreciate the development work and advancements in the blockchain by the Gulden team.

Another problem is Nocks only has a 100k Euro limit which prevents real whales from fucking over traders like Lessram.

There are no crypto believers who understand the development work and advancements in the blockchain by the Gulden team.
Allmost all people with crypto are only busy with one thing..... profit, profit and nothing more than profit and they aren't interested in development.
I think Gulden isn't waiting for the big whales to get in. The big whales has the possibility now to use BTC-NLG and i don't see them there. So why should big whales comes to Nocks?
I prefer a 1000 of small investors instead of 10 whales Smiley Because the big whales are for sure only coming for the profit.

But call me, besides Gulden, one coin with:
1) a (working) wallet for every platform,
2) With wallet link facilities,
3) with in wallet buy and sell possibility,
4) with in wallet Fiat paying system
5) a userbase who use the currency in daily live
6) a growing number of companys who accept NLG

The real crypto believer don't exist.

At some point true investers will stumble upon Gulden ask themselves why isn't this coin in the top 200 but my rank 35 coin has done nothing in 2 years besides lots of exchanges and good quality marketing or lying in this case.

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: March 17, 2018, 12:53:28 PM
Did something take place for the price to drop like this?

Didn't get the memo, sell on news... a screenshot was posted! :-D

I understand why the other coins in the top 100 never complete their development but keep adding more promises. Clever!
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread / sneak peak witness leak on: March 14, 2018, 06:12:33 PM

Holy fuck holy fuck. These cunts weren't lying , I am so fucking happy right now!!

Has a release date been given?
no official announcement in slack , or dev.gulden.com

Gulden will be the envy of many when the release comes. Can't believe this work is being done on the QT. Masterful ! Is MaNI doing the UI work?

Thanks for starting the new thread, amazed! I won't be able to find a coin outside the top 20 to beat what Gulden offers in development.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: March 12, 2018, 07:47:11 AM
I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other altcoins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other altcoins are way overpriced?

I remember Gulden from 2016, Gulden is one of the projects that was created a few years back and I think its pretty safe. I don't know what is the development plan, but I know that Taxi somewhere was accepting gulden as a payment option.
No wonder I am so strange to hear the word 'Gulden'. Because I'm still new to Cryptocurrency World. But is the Gulden project to date still in existence and growing? Because if the Taxi accepts payments with Gulden, this means a very good project and has been widely trusted by people.

I have researched about 25% of the coins that move between top 50 and 200 on CMC. I can't find anything close to the value gulden offers. I won't say more but do your own research. I am convinced the negativity is being fueled on purpose by traders to get in at lower values by instilling fear in the masses.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: March 09, 2018, 03:08:14 PM
I recently broke up with my gf over the price of Gulden. I convinced her to spend our holiday money when the price was over 0.31 on Nocks after a work friend told me about Gulden.

First few days it went well because the price went to 0.39 but after it got to this price it started coming down fast. When the price went below 0.25 she grew distant mentally and two days ago we had a huge fight over this and we ended the relationship. I also took money out of my savings to buy her portion of the gulden at 0.31 rate to try keep the peace but obviously this meant we couldn't go on vocation.

I knew the risks when buying but didn't explain the risks to my gf but on the bright side I got to see her true nature and I am happy we have ended it.

I started buying again to try lower my average because I think this coin does have potential and maybe if she contacts me in two years I will reply with this song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIy3n2b7V9k

You failed investing 101. NEVER spend money you need. But, now you learned the hard way.

I got a whatsapp from my ex gf today telling me I hope the relationship was worth your bad gulden investment (basic translation in summary). Price is bad today , should I buy more to lower my average? The price keeps going down, what do you think is the bottom?

Did you actually read what I said? Got money to spare? Maybe pay back the debt to your ex first.

He did buy his gfs coins , check the bolded part. Still shit for him, price is down more then 70%.

That bold part was what I added. He took money that he wasn't supposed to use for buying cryptos, now he asks if he should pour more money into it (which he clearly hasn't got, because that got him in that problem in the first place).

I purchased more coins today, I am single and don't care , I get to do what I want without any handcuffs and responsibility, if this goes to 0 then I made a mistake but no one got rich by not taking risks.

The problem that broke the relationship was that we decided to use Euros we were going to use for a vacation. Sacrifice a year but was planning to keep the Gulden for 5 years at least.

Then when the price collapsed my ex gf thought it was a bad decision and that she wants someone more responsible with money.

Now I am going to put everything into this coin and double down.

You made a good decision to buy coins today, I don't see Gulden going any lower then $0.8 , I am up to 153k , couldn't resist the drop.

We all have to excersise patience and wait for witnessing.

Gulden iOS Development Update

These guys are getting the hang of it, tease away Boys!! 👊

http://guldenbites.com/2018/02/28/ios-development-update/

Why did they break from the PoW2 release to do iOS?

I keep doing research on other coins outside the top 100, 99% would be begging for a iOS wallet, you people complain about improvements to an iOS wallet. Crypto is far worse then the stock markets when it comes to fair market values, in a world that is equal and all things judged fairly this coin should be top 40 at worst.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: February 27, 2018, 08:02:24 AM
You know what will be the most funny thing... when this update is finally released and the price will continue to go down...

That is a possibility, but then the entire crypto market is a sham with it's valuations, you will have one of the best developed coins outside of the top 200, to me this will indicate a .com like crash in the future, if the naysayers are correct and the update takes another 6 months then the community will lose interest.

Why I don't think the price will go down if the developers are being honest:

1. PoW2 making it possible to have secure 1 confirmation transactions
2. SegSig making Gulden the most efficient blockchain. 58% according to the stats on https://dev.gulden.com
3. 20% reduction in PoW reward for miners.
4. Long term holders like myself will turn to witnessing instead of having coins do nothing in the wallets. More incentive to hold coins where you don't lose on your amount of Gulden but only gain Gulden.

I am a short term holder currently in regards to how long I have held Gulden since it was created but plan to be a long term holder because I don't see anything else outside the top 50 that is doing much in pushing the boundaries of the blockchain.
