21  Other / Meta / Re: Merits should be given for the lower ranks only. on: January 29, 2018, 07:51:57 PM
Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary do they need a merits?
Yes.

These rank should be exempted on merits systems instead they are the one who will judge the lower ranks by giving merits.
No.

1. Newbies that work as a spam will be controlled.
No.

2. It will give an opportunity those newbies that really working hard to rank up in fair time.
If you are *really working hard to rank up*, you are doing it wrong and shouldn't be allowed to rank up to begin with.

3. Merits will be distributed fairly to the lower ranks because higher ranks will not think of their merits anymore.
No. The exact opposite will happen. If I can't receive merit, I would probably not bother giving anyone any.
even you are receiving merits you dont bother to give to the lower ranks. what makes a difference then?
22  Other / Meta / Re: Will be forever Jr.Member or Member? on: January 29, 2018, 11:30:24 AM
I love it lower ranks encouraging each other yet higher ranks tend to bully.

Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary do they need a merits? These rank should be exempted on merits systems instead they are the one who will judge the lower ranks by giving merits.

These could benefit the forum members as a whole;

1. Newbies that work as a spam will be controlled.
2. It will give an opportunity those newbies that really working hard to rank up in fair time.
(I saw a lot merits just given to the the higher ranks which a post is not really worthy of a merit. majority of the merits just dwell in their realm. Lower
    ranks just gets the crumbs)
3. Merits will be distributed fairly to the lower ranks because higher ranks will not think of their merits anymore.

'Hope this post can get crumbs.'
Those who are in the Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary ranks still needs merits because as you suggested, those ranks will judge the lower ranks by giving merits. If they (Sr. Member, Hero and Legendary) run out of sMerits to give, how can they judge those lower ranks? It's a cycle, they can't give if they don't have receive any.

You can read all of the forum and majority of the merits are in the circle of higher ranks. The lower ranks receive merits just only by chance.

I already don't like the way clicking on +merit takes you away from the thread.  Can you please have it open in a new window?
Agree 100% with this.  A new window, or maybe just code in a little box next to the post where you can type the Merit you want to give and then hit Give or something.

Instead of posting you 100% agree, you should have given me 100 merit.  Smiley

I'd like to believe Theymos implemented this partly as a solution to my request.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622992.0
But he just said to only Merit things that are high-quality, not just because you agree with things.  Cool

Quality is relative. Judgement on the quality is depend on the reader. Quality for for you may not for others so merits will work according to the judgment of the readers not on the the quality of work or post. Other thing is circle of friends in the forum, merits work well on this.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Time To Buy Bitcoin!! on: January 24, 2018, 05:08:19 AM
What are you waiting for, bitcoin is at their lowest price so buy bitcoin as much as you can if you really want to get some real or good profit in future, This time bitcoin will make new record and cross 25k$ price by the mid of 2018...

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is asset, not currency. on: January 22, 2018, 08:12:05 AM
The current standing of btc it can considered only as an asset still far fetch to become a currency. It can only be a currency if it is a recognize form of currency. You still need fiat to have btc.

31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold or Sell on: January 17, 2018, 06:26:58 AM
today the price of BTC is down by -36%.
For those of you Bitcoin owners what are your plans in these circumstances?
  • Hold your Bitcoin?
  • Selling Your Bitcoin?

Maybe the price now is just so happened drop that low because of Massive sell out from the Koreans traders.

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: January 15, 2018, 01:50:46 PM
What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

Investment doesn't measured by age. Any age as long you are able you can invest. I just reminded of the story of the KFC he became successful when he invested his retirement benefit to a business. Look at now KFC.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 15, 2018, 01:34:17 PM
Bitcoin and Gold both have some specific features in terms of making profit. Gold has been considered the most popular saving tool among the people regardless of nation or community. but the time has been changed, day by day Bitcoin is taking the control over the business platform. people are becoming dependent on the Bitcoin system. so it will replace of the gold in the future.

Gold is still a gold in time immemorial. Technology changes and btc is driven by technology  ten years from now technology will change and it could be the btc will be obsolete. But gold will remain the same regardless how fast the technology changes. BTC simply cannot replace gold.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: January 14, 2018, 02:07:59 PM
Death is the merciful penalty for rape. No body is right to force your will to others if they don't like it.
Sex should be done with love not by force.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kodak starts bitcoin mining + launches KodakCoin on: January 14, 2018, 12:47:50 PM

Help me guys, I want to get rid of my bully friends but they are my true friends. A while ago I almost cried, my feelings got hurt again they were bullying me and they involved my parents.

Seems  you are tortured emotionally about their bullying which is not really good. It could result depression. Better to leave your friends before its too late. They are not a true friends.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: January 14, 2018, 11:09:46 AM
Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

Saving btc for your children is not really good. the price of btc is unpredictable.  Btc's price in next 10 years could be not the same or higher price as of today specially there are a lot of new currency coming.
Mutual fund is more better if you think about  your children 20 years.
