2 months and no money from BTCe. They are the next gox ppl. At least the lawyer is on it. If you want his contact let me know.
They are now trying to dick the lawyer about but he has ways of making them sort this. Apparently very lawful ways. So my advice. Get a good lawyer and sort it. Otherwise BTC will steal your funds.

Dont say I did not warn you.

What is the excuse they use for not processing your transaction? Or they simply don't respond to your support ticket?

They simply dont respond. They make a set of questions - which you answer. They then come up with another question and play games. All they are interested is covering their asses while they rob you. They steal probably 10k GBP every week. Thats good business for them. If 50 people are happy and one guy gets scammed each week, they find it funny. And they must be owned and operated by Mayzus Financial. It looks no other way and then they hide behind Mayzus. As they are currently refusing to give BTCe details without police being involved - when the lawyer is also an officer of the court and crown law system in the UK. They are selective Russian scammers.

Also, the info on COINDESK is wrong. The journalists do such a great job that the FCA number for Mayzus is not even valid. All they have is a payment service FCA number which is not the same as the one advertised on COINDESK article. I think COINDESK are dodgy manipulators too.
Taking back handers.

As far as is discoverable, these guys may be a bunch of Bulgarians and what are you going to do about that with lawyers?
Unfortunately, your funds are at their mercy.
In CoinDesk's defense, last year enough of us made a stink that they put out an article wondering why BTC-e were rumored to be screwing folks.
Eventually they responded, although semi-anonymously

click on 'show ratings', review their trust settings, add yours to the mix. This has been going on for a long time.

I just bought several of these Terraminer units, What kind of software do you use to get a good overview of 10+ units?

Switching between each ip address is a pain.

Thanks!

I've just been keeping ssh sessions open on each system.
At first I was going to go further into it, but ended up just relying on this as it works fine and gives the same info
you get from the web page.
Do something like this ( your mileage may vary, work it through) to get a 15 sec snapshot:

while :;do php-cgi /var/www/status_frame.php|sed -e 's/<tr>/\n/g;s/<t[h,d]>/  /g;s/<[^>]*>//g;s/^.*pted //;s/y\t*/y\n/'|grep .|tail -n 16;sleep 15;echo;rm /tmp/sess_*;done

So at a glance you can see what's up with each one. Be sure to 'rm' the session file which shows up in /tmp.
I also set up a cron job to see if the things get stuck, reboot them.

Depending on your number of screens, ten might be a lot, maybe you'd want to curl/wget and collate like that instead.
Also, seems like there was a guy who made some sort of software for these, but I haven't looked into it. I saw it on one of these
forums long ago.

I see BTC-e is still failing to treat its customers properly. DO NOT do business of any type with BTC-e!

p.s. DO NOT FLIP THE POWER CABLES ON YOUR MINER UNLESS YOU FLIP THEM ON THE PSU TO MATCH WHAT YOU DID ON THE BOARDS. POS SHOULD NEVER BE HOOKED TO NEG. THATS JUST COMMON SENSE. EVEN IF YOUR ...[/quote]

How does one determine which lead is pos and which neg on the mining board and the PSU breakout board.
Do you mean the pics of the Terraminer interior? The problem is, I have seen different TMs with the pos lead (black wire) in BOTH positions, so a picture alone without data as to where it goes and why is a possible accident, unless you can hook the leads up to either post. Thanks for the input though.

On mine, top-off and viewed down into the case, the blacks are the top-most of each pair on the power supply mounts. I checked the lower set to be sure, they are set up the same, so Black-Red / Black-Red from top to bottom. Which is not a definitive answer, of course, but that is what I see.  So, on mine, Blacks ( topmost of each pair on PS ) are attached to the posts closest to the centers of each board, Reds are attached to the posts closest to the board-edges.

Hello guys,
I have 5000 USD on btc-e
Account is not yet verified
I want to withdraw these (and verify account). Is it possible, do they pay quick or will I struggle? Are they serious? Do they have good customer service? Should I convert these USD to BTC then go somewhere else?

Another question, can I verify in my country (Spain) but withdraw to another country? I'd prefer a wire transfer as fees are usually low.

Thanks

Well, it sounds like you do not have 5000USD in your btc-e account.

What you may have is an unverified account with btc-e AND you are missing 5000USD which should be, in your mind, credited
to your btc-e account.

You should read back through this forum, you may or may not experience some trouble, and you will be able to answer your question:
>Do they have good customer service?

good luck.

Hi
Thanks for your answer but I am sorry I don't understand. I have 5000usd in my btce acc. I want to withdraw them. How to do please? Should I convert to BTC and go elsewhere if they are slow/bad? Where?
Thanks

ah, I see, it was I who misunderstood.
I do not know the answer to your question as I do not know how they convert into USD.

29  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 17, 2014, 08:30:14 PM
same trolls different week. these are low life POS's who get some weird satisfaction in others perceived misfortune. welcome to the internet.

First -  This thread is my soap opera, as someone said earlier, "...the train-wreck you can't quit watching...."; but the odds that AMT is going to vanish w/ people's cash
are decreasing as time passes. After they made the effort to answer about 8-9 of my questions earlier
I too began to think they are just poor at managing relationships, that they are going to deliver.  Something, sometime.

Second - ( TROLL != SKEPTIC )
Third - ( TROLL != "anyone who disagrees w/ you" )

Fourth - the people who have been labeled 'TROLLS' were attempting to vet AMT so as to minimize the number of naive people who lost money
to a new, unknown, trash-talking company with poor comm skills and questionable claims.
Which is what it looks like when your community asks questions, ideally, the skeptics emerge for the benefit of the community.

There has been NO REASON to trust AMT and a lot of reasons,
both historical to this business and specific to the AMT instance, to distrust them.

Most of us want them to succeed, but they don't succeed unless their clients are happy.
All the pointless shit-talking is amazing when we are all on the same side here, ultimately.

Lastly :
AMT - Once in my life I worked for a shipping company.
Duct tape is -not- to be used, it splits along the thread lines.
Use clear, 2"+ packing tape and stretch it along the seams of the boxes as you
seal it so it slightly compresses the seam. And wrap it in a continuous strip around the box.

Then pick the box up and dropkick it across the room.

If the miner did not survive,
->you<- did not pack it properly.

Start over, pack as before, then insert into another, larger box with packing material encapsulating
it on all 6 sides, including the bottom and top. Seal as before, including enough peanuts that, when the
box is compressed, the internal box is under pressure from the external setup.

Then purchase enough insurance on the parcel to cover the cost of a complete loss,
+overhead for how pissed off your customer will be,
+ plus the time and money it will take you to re-do the whole thing
+ enough to make it all worth your while.

The amount may make the miner eligible for high value status within their system,
which may mean it will survive guys like I used to be.
Guys who run over CRT monitors w/ semi's just to hear them *pop*
This is how it works. Based on the pix posted by biomech, you are lucky if every unit does not show up like Kanduras'.
30  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: January 16, 2014, 07:02:42 AM
Has anyone actually received a refund or had funds credited for a 'missing' bank wire? It's been nearly 3 months now and BTC-e have made no effort to put things right.
you contact you bank and then submit here a ticket they are taking some time but doing all ok

I've done all that, they simply do not respond past: "Hello! Please send full details of the transfer to check+ scan and screenshots.". Even if I submit a ticket with all the details they need and screen shots they don't respond. Clearly avoiding the issue.

Lizard - ya, I was eventually credited... but it took a month, there was no explanation, all intermediate banks disavowed holding things up, Mayzus included, I provided all the
docs etc, opened tickets etc... and that month happened to be when btc went from <200 to 1200.
I lost a *lot* due to them.

The only thing we can really do is continue to point out, wherever possible, that these people systematically screw their customers,
 and lodge complaints here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=33012

Registered complaints go back a few months now.  Anyone who reads this and feels like they are getting screwed needs to go there and write it up so people can see
without necessarily having to read this whole thread.
Anyone who finally gets their money should also speak up about it.
The pattern is quite clear by now, and ongoing.

Hi,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=403578.0

Thanks,

Mike

Guys,

as of the moment still no reply from the ticket. But i was able to talk to them on skype. Pls. see my thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=403578.0

Is it true i need to deposit 3BTC on btc-e wallet for verification Sad

TIA,

Mike

Mike - read back through this forum, I think someone mentioned that the skype account is not really belonging to btc-e. I would not deposit those coins, sounds like you may be about to get ripped off.
32  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING: Do not wire money to BTC-e. on: January 14, 2014, 06:25:13 PM
Nothing changes over at BTC-e as they are still screwing people on a rotating basis.
read through some of the end of this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40889.1720

Even if your deposit is credited to your BTC-e account you may be penalized for no apparent reason.
You want to wait 3 months for a resolution as to where your money went? And get no explanation,
just missing funds or locked account etc.? Read what goes on in that thread and educate yourself
BEFORE you are lured in to BTC-e by the CONSISTENTLY LOW PRICES.
Ask yourself why they are consistently lower than any other exchange, even though they are
one of the largest by volume. TO LURE in NEW MONEY.
You might not want it to be yours...
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BTC-e scamming you? on: January 07, 2014, 07:40:15 AM
I've never heard of anyone that has been scammed by BTC-E. Tickets might take a while for them, but everything's working out well at some point.
But you can never be sure Smiley Keep your money in your wallets, unless trading. And BTC-E is the most "hidden" stock in terms of owners.

Well I have been scammed by them. I lost a *lot* due to their policies of holding people's money, dropping support tickets after VERY short periods of time,
failing to xfer coins out after transactions have been initiated, blaming intermediary banks ( which IS sometimes the problem, but not in my case ) and
locking accounts.
Go look up Edgar and many others, here, if you are wondering whether or not to trust BTC-e:

Scroll up to my December 9 post above, you will see that only the victims have rotated,
except for some who are still screwed.

AMT,
I really think your trust issues all arise from the whois typo-
just correct the 'Alabama' to 'Prensilvania' and trust will be restored.
thx

38  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: December 19, 2013, 07:42:59 AM
-------------------------------------------------
Everyone who is experiencing problems with BTC-e:
-------------------------------------------------

Yet another week has passed with the same stuff
going on.
They are selectively scamming,
not everyone who sends money gets:
the run-around,
the requests for validation docs and SWIFT records,
and closed or dropped unresolved support tickets,
locked accounts for no reasonable cause and
money on hold.

**work to LOWER their trust.**

These BTC-e guys seem to be running a semi-Ponzi with our money.
Which might explain their consistently low prices-
the price discrepancy is the hook to lure new money.

Read the last few pages of posts here, you will likely see some familiar stories:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40889.0;all
and, here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347946.0;all
and here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=351118.0;all

and probably many more places, like here:
http://www.coindesk.com/btc-e-exchange-banking-issues/

and on reddit.

When you come to a point where you feel they have screwed you around enough,
help the rest of us who share OR HAVE SHARED your fate to warn others.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=33012

Enter details, timespans since you initially sent your money or
had your account locked for no good reason etc.,
amounts, how you are being treated.

You may note that their trust level resides in negative numbers and is RED.
WE are the reason for that. INCREASE THE DISTRUST.

Then go drop an email to news at coindesk and genesis block and any other online
crypto-newsline you like to read. BTC-e support began to respond when
coindesk published a story about them... yet still it goes on.

Lowering their trust rating here may well warn others NOT to deposit
with them. Perhaps the reduction of new money coming in will allow them to
spend some time TREATING THEIR EXISTING CUSTOMERS PROPERLY...and raise
their pricing in line w/ the other exchanges.

They will likely credit you, EVENTUALLY. Took 28 days for me,
during which I got to entirely miss the bubble we are leaving.

After they have used your money to keep prices artificially low
and made money off of your money for a while, they will move on
to the next batch of people
When and if they do right by you, revisit these forums to post a comment
now and then re: how things were resolved.
Don't just drop communication because YOU GOT YOUR situation ironed out after a month,
help the newer people understand what is going on.

Ultimately, we don't want BTC-e to close, we want these guys to run a clean exchange
and lowering their reputation seems to be the only way we can have an effect on them.
They provide a useful service, but other exchanges are springing up many countries.
If BTC-e cannot figure out how to run a completely reputable operation they
will soon be replaced. And you really don't want to be around if they abscond,
they work damn hard at anonymity.
And at consistently screwing a certain shifting percentage of users.

By when are you supposed to receive your equipment? -thx

In Oct they told me 12/16/2013.  But I haven't been able to get any info from them in the past couple weeks so I don't know anymore.  Hopefully, I'm worried for nothing, and they'll be avail on the promised date.  I just am worried that no one is breathing a sign of life on their end when I send my correspondences.

well... that is Monday. So it must be shipping today, or in the morning, or maybe FedeXed on Sat.
You will soon know-
hopefully you will receive it Monday,
post a nice unboxing vid, some kill-a-wattage readout and some hash-rates.
Everyone here awaits
40  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 13, 2013, 07:57:24 AM
Ok... I took the bait and purchased two 1.2GH/s miners for claimed delivery on February.

I am making the assumption that they are legit based on the endorsement of bitmine.ch who I'm also assuming is legit.

I also believe that bitmine and AMT may deliver ahead of hashfast and cointerra based on an earlier tapeout date.

Finally, looking at the AMT product line, it's clear that they have existing products that appear to be based on the Bitfury chipset.

These folks appear to be resellers/assemblers for Bitfury and Bitmine, so it is not like they are conjuring up their designs from thin air.

So at this time, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.  After all, what other options are out there?

The options I looked into at the time I made my purchase (back in Oct):

1)Cointerra was promising delivery by mid January
2)Blackarrow was and still is promising delivery in March
3)AMT was promising delivery mid Dec.

A 4th option was another company called VMC but I felt they were too pricy so I never looked into them.

I went with AMT and prepaid back in Oct strictly because of the time factor.  However, after sending out numerous inquiries via email and leaving numerous voicemails (since around Thanksgiving till now), I was convinced that there was no company and they took my money.  But I JUST came across this forum and after going through this thread it seems like it's a legit company.  I just wish they would return phone calls or simply post updates on their website.  Or maybe a targeted email update.

It's really scary when you drop a bunch of money and after a couple months the vender will not return any correspondences!
 Undecided

By when are you supposed to receive your equipment? -thx
