I've been doing some more digging on the idea of increasing the bad beat jackpot minimum qualifying hand requirement (currently AAATT).

Here are SwC Poker's most recent BBJ hits:

  • April 7th, 2020 -- Royal Flush vs AAAKK
  • April 1st, 2020 -- KKKK vs 9999
  • April 1st, 2020 -- KKKK vs AAAKK
  • March 30th, 2020 -- KK vs QQ on AAAQT board
  • March 25th, 2020 -- AQ v AJ on AAQJK board
  • March 14th, 2020 -- AA vs KK on KKA75 board
  • January 14th, 2020 -- JJ vs TT on AAA84 board
  • January 11th, 2020 -- KK vs QQ on AAA85 board

Just for reference, here are the most recent BBJ hits at a competing online poker room with much larger playerpool (that shall remain nameless) that uses 2222 as the minimum qualifying hand.

  • April 12th, 2020
  • April 3rd, 2020
  • April 2nd, 2020
  • March 27th, 2020
  • March 23rd, 2020
  • March 22nd, 2020
  • March 5th, 2020
  • February 24th, 2020
  • February 24th, 2020

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the BBJ after reading this.

Thank you for compiling this data. The next difficulty increase will be gradual, and as the number of players continues to grow we will monitor and evaluate the right time for further increases.

The current qualifier of Aces Full of Tens beaten is in place until the next time the jackpot is hit. Full info will then be posted with details about the new requirements going forward.

If you are already making changes it would be a great time to include omaha BBJ tables as well.

I'm sad to say this but I have given up on this project and just left my wallet closed for the past month. This was a great coin to stake and still is but with no active dev team and no exchanges to trade on, there is no point in having my wallet open to stake unless things change.

Still traded, just no buyers at the moment.

So a question, if we are not a professional player, and we regularly win big hands, how will you know that I am not a professional 🙄 assumed your project, or you will stupidly lose customers. (I'm sure that you played on coinpoker and that you lost, and that you digested it badly 😂😂😂)

The measures to improve the poker room ecology will not affect 99,99% of players. There is really nothing to worry about.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: March 19, 2020, 11:21:12 AM
So, basicaly, you say to us that you don't want winning players in your poker room? Only players who play until rake eat them all. (losing or break-even players)

I will consider this silence as "Yes".

Its just the same as every other poker room that exist now. Without protecting the weaker players the room will die. If you are a winning player on pokerstars you get like 2% rakeback. Loosing players get atleast 20-30x that amount. GG network are closing winner players account and stealing their funds. This is standard in the poker industry and the only way to survive in the current market.

Congrats acemonth and Nammus!

I still think the minimum qualifying BBJ hand needs to be increased though. In my opinion, it shouldn't be anything less than 2222.

I would rather have plo BBJ tables as well. Don't know what the requirements should be though.

Strange move from altilly to delist without any reasoning. It can't possible cost much to host devcoin.

Tradeogre seems like a decent exchange with ltc markets. Might be a good option to apply there.

^  Those 'bots' were prolly used as props to start games at the lowest stakes just to get some action going.  That's far from the professional bot rings that run on Stars and Party which rake in a decent amount of money.

Idk, are they any better?  AI poker bots is a whole different story though. It has been proven recently that Pluribus can play pretty good against 6 poker pros winning most of the games. The poker pros admitted that they were unable to find a consistent weakness in its game, and also that Pluribus was remarkably good at bluffing. But I don't think poker sites can afford such a machine.

Having 127 Krill, I'm wondering will there be freerolls for 100+ Krill on SwCPoker, or 500+ Krill is the lowest limit for that?

Its not house run bots that's the problem. If SwC had enough volume someone would run bots there as well.

BottleCaps vs BottlecapsCash clarification:

https://twitter.com/bottlecapsio/status/1149093603630710784

That is just wrong.

The original bottlecaps is traded here:

https://freiexchange.com/market/CAP/BTC

There is ZERO buy orders and sell orders at 1 satosi.

The new bottlecaps fork is traded here:

https://www.livecoin.net/en/trading/CAPS_BTC

Last price 8 satoshi.

Is namecoin dead now there is no liquidity or volume or any decent exchanges to trade on? Why will electrum wallet not connect? TIA

Electrum still working fine for me. No volume anywhere, but you might as well try to put up some sell (or buy) orders and see what happens. Southxchange is probably a good option.

The only thing I would change with the bad beat jackpot is to make bad beat tables for plo as well. No limit hold em is incredible boring.

Datacoin on Coinbase:

https://www.coinbase.com/price/datacoin

That is ... weird.

Name, icon, symbol and circulation is right, but market cap?

-extro

Yeah. The correct market cap is 1,88 btc. Or $21,242. (last traded price of 5 satoshi).

Wonder where they get the price data from.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: June 26, 2019, 01:11:13 PM
100x it is still possible for coins with small market cap, but 1000x is almost unbelievable.
For top coins with a large market cap, max 10x is possible in the next bull run.
the truth is that from the beginning until now no coins have experienced price increases of up to 1000x but if 10x to 100x I still believe what people say especially if small coins can certainly increase 100x if crypto season can be like last 2017

Lol, you should learn some history. Lots of coins have gone up much more then 1000x.

Quark price 03.11.2013: $0.000115 (was even lower before that)
Quark price 02.12.2013: $0.307

In less then 1 month the price went 2669x

And this is just one of the earliest examples. If you look at the charts there are a lot of coins what have gone 1000x.

How does rakeback work on the site? I know % of rakeback given depends on what level the player is.  But is rakeback automatically credited to your account weekly or does the player have to manually cash it out?

Thanks

It's paid daily. Just look at Cashier --> History tab.

Do you read your own links? The second one literally has the headline: Modern Poker Doesn’t Have Much Of A Use For Prop Players.

Maybe you should read the rest of the text and try to comprehend why thats the case. At the start of online poker each poker site had its own network and most struggled with low liquidity. Today the market have consolidatet trough acquisitions and merges and we are left with a few seperate poker networks thats serves multiple poker sites.

If SwC shared liquidity with 20 other sites it wouldn't have this issue.

If you want games to run, just seed them, there is no way around it.

There is. The obvious choice is to play elsewhere.

SwC have the potential to be a serious alternative in the market, but it needs liquidity.

100%-120% RB? Jesus.. any more wishes?  Grin

Hehe, I don't want it for myself.  Tongue

I just want to have some tables I can join when I log in to play.  Cheesy

I have never played as a prop, but I know it's been common practise in the industry and probably still is.

Just look at sites like:

^  I think you got it the other way around.  You actually get raked higher in proportion to the pot at lower stakes.  And what's good (if you're the site) is more games could run at lower stakes than at, in SWC's case, 25/50.

2/4 - 5/10 at SWC is almost the equivalent of 5NL - 10NL.  Why not do some promos at those stakes like double the krill or more RB or even happy hour.  Something!

Giving a player a tad more RB and krill as the table starter could be a good idea.

Dude trust me, I'm not against promos (I also think they should advertise atleast somewhat beyond word of mouth which, let's be honest, doesn't work out that great) - but rake to the site is relevant in absolute amounts, not relative. I think the problem is, there are very few people who have little amounts of bitcoin and are willing to gamble for them. There's a gap between people who either have no bitcoin and those who have so much, they're okay with gambling for like 0.1 BTC a month.

And remember.. there are leaderboards coming!!! ... at some point. Maybe. Or not. And maybe we'll even get Chinese back eventually.

SwC should focus on recruting people who already play and enjoy poker, not people who own bitcoin and don't play poker. It is extremly easy for everyone to buy bitcoin and transfer to SwC. No KYC, fast withdrawals, low rake is really good selling points.

But to get people to play there have to be some tables going. Paying some props 100-120% rakeback to start tables would improve the current situation. If I could log on and get to play on 3-4 tables I would play and I'm sure there are others like me.

RIP.

Is bottlecaps dead now?

There is zero buy orders on freiexchange and sell orders at 1 satoshi.

https://freiexchange.com/market/CAP/BTC

At 1 satoshi the bottlecaps marketcap is only 5.29 bitcoin, currently $49.000. (total supply 529496674.279532).

To add shitcoins is completely meaningless. It don't bring any value and it won't bring any new players.

Why would anyone deposit shitcoins and get a worse exchange rate then they would if they exchanged it themself.
...

Because apart from transaction fees there are also withdrawal fees?
Because not everyone has an account on exchange sites?
Because in case of smaller amounts slightly higher fees are harldy an issue?
Because fees do not have to be higher at all?
Because of convenience?

I see absolutely no harm in integrating a simple tool, ie. such as Shapeshift, that allows altcoin deposits. SwC would still remain 100% bitcoin poker and could increase their revenue from poker (+ potential affiliate share of exchange fees). Unfortunately Shapeshift now requires id verification and I'm not aware of any worthy alternatives.

Your points.
1. Bitcoin withdrawals are now paid by SwC so thats free. And lightning will be far cheaper (free as well most likely).
2. How did they buy shitcoins without an shitcoin exchange? If you got shitcoins at blockchain.info or earn.com (coinbase) you allready got an account.
3. Sure fees is an issue, but it will cost more in convertion (bad exchange rate) then btc fee for amounts above $20. Lightning will solve this.
4. Ligthning.
5. Your only valid point. But in reality, who really use altcoins for anything? And how many people are willing to pay more to be able to spend some other coin?

It would also hurt the brand. SwC shitcoin poker.

To implement lightening on the other hand, thats a good idea.

I got it!  Let's have a BBJ each for NLHE, PLO and Short Deck NLHE.  NLHE boat over boat minimum, PLO quads over quads minimum and flush over flush for Short Deck but A high vs K high flush minimum.

What do you guys think?

I would like a bad beat jackpot for plo.  Grin
